There are not a lot of Vietnamese food around this neighborhood and I found this one. Very good pho and the fried egg roll is delicious. I went in early at 11:30am and there is a lot of seats on weekdays.

Little mom and pop shop for some delicious pho. I was really craving pho and glad i stopped here. The broth was so good that we didnt need to add anything in! Vermicelli noodles were also delicious. The viet ice coffee is strong but perfect!

Scrumptious food. We ordered the hot tea. It tastes like one if the generic brands so stay away from that. Also the veggie spring rolls were super delicious. I ordered the vegetable and tofu egg noodle soup and it was better than expected. Highly recommend to anyone feeling under the weather. Hubby ordered the garlic butter noodles with added bbq beef. He said it was super yummy. Meat was nice and tender and noodles were really garlicky and buttery but not overpowering with garlic flavor. Could actually use more garlic. Will be back to try different dishes next time.

Great experience! Would definitely recommend. Prices are affordable for the big portion sizes. Meats had a great taste and texture. Vegetables taste fresh. Sauces have the right amount of spice. Our server was excellent. Dishes arrived quickly after we ordered. The place isn't fancy but was very cozy and clean.

Thanh Tam is one of my favorite spots in the city - a no frills place with simple decor, quick service, and great comfort food, nestled among much higher flying places on a bustling Valencia street. The lemongrass tofu is one of the best tofu dishes I’ve had, with a great tofu texture and highly flavorful lemongrass-based sauce The hot and spicy vegan noodle soup is among the best vegetarian phos I’ve had, with tons of depth to the broth, a solid mix of veggies, two types of tofu (including the rare tofu skin preparation), and tons of noodles (I modify the noodles to egg noodles to get what I think a better, less slippery texture). Top everything off with Harry’s quick, attentive, and familiar service, and Thanh Tam will always be one of our favorite go-to spots

Crispy rolls were awesome and the pho was incredible flavorful, with lots of spice notes and beefy flavors. The bun bo hue was surprisingly less exciting but still good nonetheless.

We stumbled upon this place while walking by the mission and it is delicious! It’s a quaint little spot and the service was very fast! We got the vietnamese crepe, banh mi, and chicken vermicelli noodles. I loved the noodles. I would come back!

We came to San Francisco to celebrate one of my high school/Google Hong Kong friend's wedding 💒 We extended our stay for a few days so that we could enjoy some bomb food of course 😋 stayed around the mission district area and bumped into this bad boy 🏆This is the 2nd restaurant that Thanh Tam had. Which means that it was so good that they were able to expand in SF! If any of you have been to sf , the rent is so high that if your restaurant is not good , you'll close down pretty quickly :) 👍Wouldn't say it's over the top or the best pho I've had around the world. At the very least, I'd say that this place is legit and you get really authentic viet food made by viets. There's a large menu full of the classic stuff eg Banh mi, and of course pho 🍜If you order the special combo, you get raw, flank steak, tripe, and beef balls. The noodles are nice and chewy and soup is towards the sweeter side. The basil, bean sprouts, and chilli are all surprisingly fresh, which makes your $14 medium sized (yes.. this pho is only medium sized) even BETTER 🍗🍤but.. MVP most of all is this spring roll . Nice and crispy + filled up with the best ingredients pork, vermicelli, mushroom, carrot. Tightly packed to a T and deep fried till a golden brown. They give you noodles, lettuce, cilantro, and cucumber to pair the rolls with .

Love! Great venue with friendly service and delicious food at reasonable prices. Tried their grilled pork noodles, and was not disappointed - fresh, tasty, and generous with the protein. The fortune cookie they gave me also gave me the validation I needed on a Wednesday night.

Really great food here!!! Went two times with friends! Ordered vermicelli beef and chicken noodle! The staff are nice and friendly, service is quick and prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Every visit it gets better it seems. I have tried the bahn mi, vermicelli bowl with shrimp and egg roll, and beef pho. All of it is delicious and the service is good! Tight quarters inside but small groups can get in just fine.

Talk about low-key Vietnamese restaurant but once you try their grilled pork chop over rice….game over!!! I ordered com suon nuong complete with rice, pork chops, shredded beef, egg and veggies. I would say the plate was pretty complete. With soda it was just a little over $20 which I think was super worth it! I’d totally recommend this place! 👍🏼

We ordered and five minutes later it was ready to go - I liked the chicken pho here a ton it was different than I expected and had a lot of flavor - Good portion sizes and prices, really good value Bad: - Service was minimal and the place was small Overall I enjoyed coming! Yummy food: pho tai bo vien, grilled pork banh mi, and sweet coffee. I wish I didn't see a staffer exit the bathroom with kitchen gloves still on, but who knows what truly happened there. Maybe she was cleaning? Benefit of the doubt.

Nice little place in Mission. We got a combination fried rice and a hot+spicy vegan noodle soup. The fried rice was nothing to write home about but noodle soup was good.

Quick place to grab pho in the mission. We sat close to the entrance and it wasn't super busy but hard to get the staff attention. Food was edible.
