OMG! This coffee is SO GOOOOOOOD! The first sip had me talking to myself saying out loud OMG THIS IS SO GOOD 😂 I honesty did not know what to expect & wow. I’m amazed! The taste is just of the coffee is so unique. It’s just delicious. Can’t figure out what the hints are bc it’s nothing I ever tasted before but damn YUMMMYY! I’m on my way to night class and this cup of deliciousness really made my night. I will forever be their customer moving forward!! Really glad I found this place and thankful they stay open late. Sadly it’s really hard to miss! Just glad I found it and hope others find it too and continue to support this neighborhood gem.
1st time here. I ordered pistachio baklava and a hot Turkish coffee “golden bear style”. A delicious experience!
We ordered the Iced Turkish coffee the "Golden Bear" way, which was exactly what we needed after our hike. Order the baklava! The serve Mitchell's Ice Cream! Also quarts in the back freezer for sale. Great selection of wines.
Cute local spot for coffee and Turkish Baklava that also offers various non alcoholic and alcohol beverage options. The shop is spacious with indoor and outdoor seating, reasonable price, as well as convenient amenities such as wifi and charging station. The coffee and baklava are delicious with friendly staff not only taking time to explain menu but also care in making it. Highly recommend!
This is a wonderful café with an authentic neighbourhood vibe; the kind and friendly barista/owner, Mr.Ed, takes great care in preparing your drink to your taste. The cafe has fresh savory bites, as well as a well-stocked inventory of liqueurs and wines as well as baklavas to sample or take home.
TLDR: cute little local coffee shop with good coffee, tasty baklava and WiFi that doubles as a liquor store Walked into this coffee shop after lunch nearby and there was plenty of open seating. We ordered the baklava which was really tasty and the coffee which was very strong. Having wifi is useful for checking into work and there’s also outdoor seating as well. Doubles as a liquor store , would come through if in the neighborhood again
Juiciest baklava! Their sign board says best baklava in town, it’s totally TRUE! This is the most juiciest baklava I had so far. I tried their trio box of baklava. It had the combo of pistachio and walnut baklava and sesame halwa. It’s decently priced, each baklava is around 3$ and the trio box is 8$. Staff is super friendly! I have to try their Turkish coffee next time!
I don’t love the coffee but that might be personal preference. The baklava is really good tho
First time I had a random cup of coffee. I left with a good taste of coffee & friendly barrista. On my second visit months later, Kelly had me try the moka java as a recommendation. I loved it! Very smooth. Nice. She was very cordial & patient with me & my friend, who also enjoyed his coffee. On my third visit and definitely not my last, Sam served me this time. Again, the hospitality was above and beyond! Coffee again was tasty & smooth. I'll be back like a bad habit! Thank you Golden Bear!
Sam is the man! Amazing selection of everything good, and some rare ones too; coffee, alcohol, gifts. This is the spot!! Also the only place that carries Tubi 60 in SF as far as I know.
Sam is the man! Havnt been in the place for years.. Used to be the typical corner store, but he cleaned the place up for an upscale look and serves high end coffee and stocks a ton of wine I moved and inner sunset has not been on my usual route.. But I'll make a point of getting back here. Every coffee lovers dream.. Dozens of worldwide blends fresh brewed to order. Killer pastries too. Sam has that personality that keeps you coming back. Looks like a wine selection that wouldn't disappoint. Next time I'll update you on their wine. With Thanksgiving coming up im in the market for for a nice cab and maybe some Zin.
Best kunafa, a home made cheesy pastry unlike anything. Turkish coffee, drip coffee, sweets, food, top shelf spirits by the bottle, what more could you ask for?
I'm a lover of tea, I find very few places that have just the perfect tea. This place is one of the rare. I visit here everything I venture sf. It's worth the uber cost from the embarcadero to Sam's. My favored tea is the Chicory and vanilla tea with cream and no sugar, my second choice is Orange Dulce with sugar. Prices are fair and well worth it. I'll come back every time I'm out here.

Honestly a great spot to WFH! Tons of seating, wifi, and lots of coffee options. Parking can be difficult. Liquor store as well! Worth a visit if you want a place to work with table space.
The place itself is a generic Cafe, however, it has a Mediterranean/ east European twist To the food. I ordered a black Turkish coffee which is brewed with cardamom. Very yummy. Great mouth feel. Next was a beef and mushroom piroshki, with one piece of baklava. The piroshki was frozen, but the owner air fried it to perfection. You wouldn't even know the difference. In the baklava was thick and gooey halfway down and perfectly flaky and crispy on the top half. Definitely an experience. I definitely felt golden after my visit. (Also, there is a large selection of wine bottles. It's really easy to become mesmerized with the fantastic selection.)
Wonderful coffee shop with desserts, food, and selection of beer, wine, and other items. The proprietor creates a lovely atmosphere and it’s a great place to sit inside or outside and enjoy your coffee. Must try affogato! Combination of baklava, Mitchell’s ice cream, and espresso is out of this world. New favorite dessert, perfect treat for a sunny day.

This is a corner coffee shop that also offers light bites, desserts, a good wine and beverage selection, and some Asian-style specialty snacks. Interesting place. I stopped by one morning to get breakfast. I didn't realize that their food items are simply pre-packaged food heated up in a microwave. My burrito was a bit small but at least tasty. Service was friendly and very personable.

Very nice little cafe with a ton of spaces both indoor and outdoor. The internet is pretty fast for quick conference calls but the street corner can be a bit loud on the outside. I got the iced turkish coffee with heavy cream and sugar. Not too sure what the hype is about, it just tasted like cold brew coffee haha but the price were the same so no matter. On the other hand, I got their Ethiopian Yirgacheffee beans which are generally floral. Somehow, it tasted like a dark roasted coffee more like french roasted style. Not a fan on this front because then I can go to Winco to buy cheaper beans at 8 dollars a lb.
I’m honestly confused by the 4.5-star rating. If you're reviewing this place as a convenience store, then sure, 4.5 stars might make sense. But as a café, it leaves a lot to be desired. It’s essentially just a convenience store with a few shaky tables, a strange bathroom that feels more like a storage closet, and an oddly cranky (borderline rude) staff member running the place. It’s not the kind of environment you’d want to sit and relax in, let alone study, work, or enjoy a quiet cup of coffee. There are several much nicer cafes nearby such as Brioche Café, Flywheel, or Wooden Coffeehouse that offer a far better atmosphere for coffee, conversation, or getting some work done.
Excellent baklava.. I got the pistachio.. other combos available.. maybe another time.. odd having the liquor - coffee shop combo.. but it works .. coffee smells good but I stuck to the good sticky baklava

We enjoyed the baklava, but the latte was underwhelming. It lacked any coffee flavor. Hopefully they can improve.
