I ventured the far 15 minute walk from my office to try this place out since it has such high ratings, and honestly wasn’t let down. this place has very fresh and flavorful fish. I usually go to the Benito Poke food truck, but I really like that this establishment is traditional in being able to customize your own bowl. During the lunch rush it was a little overwhelming in the small space and I felt a pressure to move faster since everyone was trying to get lunch, but i needed some time to read all the toppings since it my first time there. The staff was nice to not push me to go faster. I do wish they had a bit more drink selection but overall, the food was delicious and I will be back!
Always the correct choice for lunch in FiDi. Generous scoops and only $1 more per scoop. And it comes with free crab salad. The fish they used is fresh and great, and their ginger is always good.
Hi City Poke nails that true island flavor! The owner is from Hawaii and brings all the aloha with him — super friendly, down-to-earth, and clearly passionate about sharing good food. The poke itself? So ono. Fresh, flavorful, and totally legit. You’ll find classic Hawaiian-style fish alongside “mainland” toppings — because, as the owner said, “you gotta give the city what it wants.” But don’t worry, purists — the foundation is all Hawaii. It’s quick, delicious, and feels like a little taste of home
Went by at lunch. Was busy but fast. Staff was super friendly! The bowl was just great and reasonably priced. The fish tasted fresh as did all the ingredients. Will def go back again.
Best poke in FiDi currently. Fresh fish and ingredients, friendly staff, decent portion size, and consistent quality. Definitely recommend!
So fresh and flavorful! Healthy lunch!
Best poke in SF. Although a little busy during lunch time, still worth visiting
Best poke in Fi-Di that comes with lots of fun, fresh combos and a good portion. Also an option to split your choice of the base.
Top notch poké! Arguably the best and most authentic in SF. Special flavors rotate in often and continue to surprise.

Best poke in the city, and probably best I’ve ever had! Fish is super generous and flavorful, always new options. Toppings are great. Always satisfying and a good value.
If you love garlic, this is the poke place for you!! I was excited to see so many garlicky options to add into my bowl. I got a regular "build your own" bowl, which came with three scoops of protein. I tried the furikake salmon and Hawaiian tuna! Both were pretty good. The salmon was VERY buttery and fatty. The tuna was classic lean fish with sesame, green onion, ogo seaweed, shoyu, etc. I was pretty satisfied! For garlic options, I got the garlic crab salad, garlic mayo, and garlic bread crumbs. There were also seared garlic albacore and garlic shrimp protein options!
TLDR: small takeaway spot with lots of choices (though confusing what is for free and what isn’t) I got a small poke bowl and the flavors of the poke were very good. For half and half, there could be a little more rice and the service sizes of poke are a bit too small. Also they charge for seaweed salad which basically no poke spots do. All in all, flavor is good but size of portion is a bit small. Also best for the servers not to have AirPods in their ears, doesn’t seem professional.
Food: 4/5 Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: A good poke option in Fidi. The extended review... Food: Poke & Kalua Pork - 4/5 - I got a scoop of the Garlic Albacore as well as the Kalua Pork. The meal was super tasty and made for a good lunch portion. Most importantly the Kalua Pork wasn't dry. Service: 5/5 - Super friendly staff. Ambiance: 4/5 - More of a grab and to go place.

I had the veggie bowl with tofu and found it really flavorful. The portion size could’ve been a bit more generous, but overall, it’s a great spot for a tasty vegetarian lunch.
The salmon was fresh and very tasty, but unfortunately the sushi rice and toppings were not. The sushi rice was served cold and the cucumbers/edamame did not taste fresh. Still giving it 4 stars because the salmon was so good. If the rice and toppings were improved, I would regularly get this as a quick lunch!

Ordered delivery. Rice is clumpy, doesn’t taste like sushi rice. Fish doesn’t taste fresh.
My first time here I want to say I love the sashimi poke here , the flavor and quality are super awesome. But! But! The rice is sooo soggy 🥲 The restaurant said it’s “sushi rice” on the menu. It doesn’t taste like sushi rice at all. No Taste of Vinegar and Sake and so soggy. I know barely restaurants here make authentic sushi rice but plz plzzzz don’t put so much water to cook the rice.

This place is okay. The small poke bowl is really small, arguably too small for how much it costs. The fish is good but they don't have a ton of topping variety. The sauce was alright. Came here because it was the highest rated poke in the area but I'll try another place next time.
I do not recommend this place. The fish is not fresh. I think it has to do with the fact that they are not open every day and they close very early. I doubt they have enough rotation of the fish. I love poke bowls and have tried many different places, but this one, unfortunately doesn’t make the cut. If you want to get some fishy fish, then this is the place for you.

I normally love this place but I’m super disappointed after my last visit. I ordered a bowl with three scoops of three different poke and avocado ($2.5) and only received 2 of the scoops and my avocado was completely spoiled to the point where I had to throw it out. There was no contact phone number and no one responded to my email through the contact us page. Not sure how else to get in touch with the company but won’t be going back.
