Really fun new place in SF. Food is the among the best “bar food” I’ve ever had (if you can really even call it that) and prices were reasonable. Our favorite was the mushroom poutine skinny fries. Doesn’t take reservations. Lively atmosphere but can still talk. Highly recommend!
Fun Friday hangout with friends We went to Key Klub on a Friday to hang out with friends and had a great time. The music was excellent and the crowd was young and energetic, creating a lively yet relaxed vibe. Staff were friendly and the atmosphere felt authentic without being chaotic. Definitely a spot we’d come back to for a fun night out in San Francisco.
Key Klub is a bit tucked away, but absolutely worth the short walk or taxi—especially if you’re after a lively, good-vibes-only kind of night. It’s part of the same crew behind Bodega in North Beach (also great), but this spot leans a little rowdier—in the best way. Expect a cool, chatty, very San Francisco crowd where everyone somehow looks like they’ve walked out of a magazine shoot. Mostly wine and beer on offer, plus some top-notch nibbles. Staff are fun, prices are decent, and the whole place just hums with great energy. Strongly recommended for a buzzy evening out.
This place couldn’t be any cuter! The food is absolutely fire, and the vibes are immaculate. It’s the perfect spot for a post-work drink. I can’t wait to come back when the music is bumping!
Awesome vibe, chill music, solid food and hands down the best fries I’ve ever had (Funghi Fries Poutine). Drinks were fire too!
Came here with some friends and we had a blast! I'm absolutely in love with the vibe and decorations. We ordered some delicious cocktails and enjoyed the charcuterie board. It's a great place to have a chill time with friends. I personally enjoyed the upstairs area that felt a bit more secluded, with the added view from the top. Our server was super nice. We'd come back again.
I love love love Key Klub! The atmosphere is great and service is always amazing. We stopped in for their happy hour for spritz’s and their mushroom fries - great to split with a group. Key Klub is great for all occasions - friend catch ups, happy hour, date night, dinner. Love the dinner food as well - especially the Caesar salad and burger.
Key Klub is the perfect addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here a few times. Once just for drinks and twice to eat drink off their menu. First, let’s talk about the vibe. The exposed brick, low light, and Japanese design elements (paper lantern light shades) make this the perfect spot to drink wine after a work day, a night out on town or a date night. The wine list is spectacular with a great range that will suit anyone’s tastes. There’s a section for funky wines that speaks to my heart. The list changes on the regular, like I was there on a Thursday and then came back on Saturday to see new wines. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to take risks when putting certain wines on the list. For example, you won’t find delicious wines from Texas probably anywhere else in SF. Now on to the food. I tried the burger first. It’s going to be real hard not getting it every time. Having just that with a glass of wine is magnifiqué. I came back another day to try the steak, lamb meatballs and charred cauliflower. All stellar dishes that are great to share with someone else. This place is awesome.
Great ambiance and perfect for a date night spot! Good wine options and bites too! It gets pretty crowded in the evenings but worth the wait.
The happy hour “Happy Meal” quickly became one of my favorite deals in the city! A glass of rose, two smashburger sliders, and fries for $25 is a steal.
Vibey counter service wine bar with maybe my favorite burger in SF so far! Great wine & food selection. Seating fills up quickly on weekends
In from out of town and was looking for a natural wine bar after a long day of taking a course. Walked in solo, and being from Utah, looked around to see if I needed to show ID… was greeted warmly and encouraged to sit at the bar. Later learned he was an owner and a great people person- introducing me to other patrons so I didn’t sit solo. Staff behind the bar were friendly- I was excited to try something new and they poured a variety of tasters with a smile. Food was great- halibut crudo and charred broccolini, and wine selection was just what I was after. Look forward to visiting again next time I’m in town, thanks for a great evening!

We stopped in for a nightcap last week. The drink list was expansive and the service was efficient. The red lights were a bit off putting, but that’s just my opinion.

Key Klub is one of my favorite spots in SF! The vibe is perfect — neon lights, exposed brick, and just the right mix of modern and cozy. The wine list is amazing (and super fun to explore), and the food is way better than your usual bar snacks. It’s great for a date night or a night out celebrating with friends. The staff are always friendly and make the whole experience even better.
This place is awesome. Excellent vibe - young beautiful people and the food/drinks were excellent. I had the steak frites.

Great bar with a solid menu served late. Lots of comfort food options on the menu. The b-side burger definitely hit the spot! Good wine list with American and European options, and plenty of beers on tap.

With its close proximity to Union Square and laid-back vibe, Key Klub is a spot that attracts SF locals and visitors alike. It's an "order at the bar" kind of place that pumps up the music as the evening wears on. The atmosphere is lively. I brought an old friend from out of town who had just gotten off a flight, and Key Klub was perfect. No reservations required! This is a wine and beer joint--no cocktails--with really excellent food that is a surprisingly good value. We ordered and shared the duck liver french toast, the burger, a pile a fries, the key klub melt, and the steak au poivre, which was our favorite (we were very hungry). I wouldn't get the toast again, but everything else was phenomenally well-seasoned and prepared. You really can't go wrong with this place. The only downside is that it can get pretty crowded, especially on weekends, but it seems they turn tables around pretty efficiently. I think this place would be great for a solo diner as well.
They let in dogs which is gross and annoying, there was one laying right in the middle of where everyone has to walk. But otherwise this is a fine place. The food was good and I enjoyed the decor and lighting.

the ambiance of this place was actually so cute and i was having a great time! the table next to us was heading out and gave us their wine bottle and was like enjoy bc we’re gonna head out (super nice and sweet of them). when we asked the bartender to open it she was being a little weird about it and ended up saying that they must’ve taken like a “prop bottle” bc it was unopened (it was on the menu so they def got it there). ended up taking out bottle so that kinda sucked :( also got the fries which were disappointing bc they were cold and dry :(

Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Kay Club was an absolute disaster. The place was insanely crowded, and the servers wouldn’t seat us or take orders. they told us to find our own table. Fine. Burgers were sold out, which is understandable. What’s not understandable is what happened next. We ordered two items at the bar and paid $79, then no one came to our table. After about 10 minutes, a rude waitress showed up and told us that the rest of the food we ordered was also sold out and that I needed to go back to the bar to change my order. When I calmly asked why they took my order and money in the first place if the food wasn’t available, she and another waiter started yelling at me, accusing me of yelling. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Then someone else came over and said they’d just give us two steaks and fries instead. I agreed just to end the chaos. Fifteen minutes later, he returned with one small rare steak (they never asked how we wanted it cooked), handed me $20 back, and literally ran away. No apology. No explanation. No accountability. Crowded, disorganized, rude staff, incorrect orders, and terrible communication. I’ve never experienced service this bad anywhere. Avoid this place.
We visited the place around 10pm on a Thursday night. We ordered food but they got back to us that the specific food was not available after 10 minutes. This happened twice. The service was unacceptable. The waiters were rude, ignored me when I tried to get their attention, and made me feel unwelcome.
