I ordered the Galbi Chicken with a side of rice. This was some very good chicken. It crispy but it still had a nice coating of the sauce. I made sure to get some extra on the side as well. It was spicy but it had a nice flavor as well. A half order is enough for one person (pictured).
The BEST Korean fried chicken in SF! So crispy and moist/tender inside. The chicken from the other restaurants around Nob hill, in my opinion, were too greasy. However, this place fried the chicken right after when the order was placed so it tasted so fresh and and light. Also, the gabli sauce was just right - very flavorful, salty and sweet. A 5 stars place!
A best K-chicken place! Five stars on its crispy and tasty chicken wings👌I highly recommend yang nyum (#2) chicken and tteokbokki. We ordered yang nyum, garlic jalapeno(?), sweet and galbi chicken(all half sized) and tteokbokki. We are five people and realized that these are too much portion for us😂
If you’re a fried chicken lover like my family is, definitely check this spot out. It use to be a Korean bbq restaurant for 35 years and they changed their menu to cater to the needs of their surroundings. It was delicious and I suspect it’ll be around for a long time. Talk about an overhaul just for their customers and their community.
Arrived around 1:30pm and was lucky to find a place to sit. After we went in, more than six groups came in. So, we could sense that it is a place loved by many people. We ordered Yang Nyum Chicken, Fried Chicken, and sizzling Bibimbap, and each of them was so crispy, fresh, and delicious. It was one of the best Korean foods I had so far in the U.S. The owner was super kind, and I loved the cleanliness of the store.
Love this place! The Gochu Jang chicken is amazing, and so is the spicy rice cake. The corn dogs are also great and filling. The owner is also very nice.
Absolutely amazing. The chicken was crispy, seasoned well, tender, just fabulous. The sizzling bibimbap was just too good to be real. I am Korean and this was ONE OF THE BEST bibimbap I’ve ate in restaurants. I ordered it without beef and with eggs on top (I’m not vegetarian) and it was gorgeous. I would recommend putting gochugang (Korean chili paste) because it makes the dish even more savory. Overall, just amazing. Definitely recomended!!!
Amazing fried chicken! It is rare that I find fried food that tastes “fresh”, but this is definitely it. Great sauces and palate cleansers. Highly recommended!
Love this place, always get the best korean corn dogs and the owner is super sweet!
Went with my friend and we shared one sizzling bi bim bop and one korean corn dog with potato. Everything was delicious, I loved the crispy rice from the bi bim bop and the hot sauce that went with it was delicious. We both left feeling very full and satisfied for only 13 dollars a person.
We've ordered Yan Nyum Boneless chicken, which was really tasty, mildly spicy, and had a good texture. The host was very helpful and brought our food to our table, and the place was very clean with a nice smelling restroom. Nothing less than very good korean food!
Big portions and a lot of flavor options! Most importantly, super tasty. A must-try for fried chicken lovers. Owner is very friendly. Good vibes overall in Nob Hill. Alcoholic drinks are available, fun spot to hit with friends, and a great option for a quick takeout bite as well.
This might be the best fried chicken I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered the sweet miso chicken and the original corn dog with potato. After finishing we quite literally went back and ordered the same thing again - it was so GOOD! Excellent service too :). Will be back next time we’re in the City!
A nice place to get Korean snack foods. The proportions are enough to easily feed two people and it's pretty good. The restaurant has a very casual atmosphere, and it being in a nice neighborhood, it's nice to hang out for a bit.
Korean Soul Chicken, very clean and crispy chicken. Great service and a cozy place to sit. The #10 plan wings and the #1 Galbi boneless chicken were great! Will, a local of San Francisco, helped us make a great selection and the wings were awesome! Our daughter loved the Korean corn dog and said it was one of the best she's had. Maid with beef sausage! Thanks so much Korean Soul Chicken and "Will" for the great hospitality in San Fran!!! Loved it
I am always looking for Korean food when I am in big cities and this place did not disappoint! I always crave Ddeokbokki (tteokbokki) so I got that and was very pleased! I also wanted to try their Korean corn dogs and it was okay, I enjoyed eating it with ddeokbokki sauce. My bf got the number 7 and said it was delicious, especially the fried rice cake that came with it. The service was good, the man upfront was very kind and told me the best way to reheat it as I took some to go. I really appreciated that.
cheese powder korean chicken is my favorite. I have tried many many places, across the country and outside of US. this one is wonderful. the takeout is packaged very nicely with lots of sauces (not pictured) and the portion is great. I am very happy.
We had kimbap, sizzling bibimbap , galbi chicken wings and French fries for lunch. Enjoyed everything and really nice owner who took good care of us. ❤️
Delicious wings and quick and friendly service. Would highly recommend if you’re in the area. The Tteokbokki was some of the most flavorful I’ve had.
Tell me why when I first opened the delivery box of galbi boneless chicken and stabbed what I thought was a French fry with my fork, I literally did a chew double-take and removed the tteokbokki from my mouth because my taste buds were so thrown off from what I was expecting. I really should’ve known better, but I’m accustomed to seeing tteokbokki drenched in a gochujang based sauce, so they deceptively resembled fries. To be fair, from this experience, I learned they taste way better dry and seasoned, but I digress. Onto the main part of the review… As I’ve written in a couple other reviews this week, I’m “researching” the best Korean fried chicken spots in San Francisco to determine which to order from for an upcoming Friendsgiving. I looked up a ton of options in the city and narrowed them down to a shortlist of 3 spots, this place included. A few things I examined to create my short list were varieties/flavours of chicken, quantity to price ratio, other customer ratings, images of the chicken, and proximity to my neighborhood or deliverability to my friends’ neighborhood where the Friendsgiving will be hosted. When I took the first bite of K Soul chicken, I knew I’d found a winner. I’m very particular about KFC having spent the last few years living in LA and Orange County, home to copious dedicated KFC restaurants. K Soul’s chicken tastes the most similar to my favourite spots in SoCal. It has the perfect texture and crunch, the meat is neither dry nor greasy, and the umami flavor is on point. They’ve created a perfectly balanced KFC, and that’s why I’ll be taking this to Friendsgiving.
Been to countless of wings places on the east coast and west coast but this by far was the best place. We got the garlic jalapeño and Yang Nyum flavors— both were amazing. Perfect amount of sauce and wings were made fresh. James was awesome, he gave us taste samples of both because we were unsure of the flavors. Service was top notch, really nice people. I will 100% come back if I visit California again.
Great Korean food. We had corn dogs, ddeokbokki, galbi chicken and spicy chicken. Everything was just great. When I come back to San Francisco, I'll definitely go there again 😀
The food was delicious 🤤 We had the wings, coleslaw, and pickled radishes. The portions were more than what I expected, so I was pleased. The service was great and the facility was clean and well kept. You also have the option to order ahead 👍👍
We tried the Galbi Chicken (delicious sweet and savoury flavour) which came with Korean rice cakes and picked radish. A great bite after a cocktail in Harper and Rye just over the road. The man (possibly the owner?) who served us was very nice.

Delicious korean corndogs, they were a nice size and also the cheese pull was insane!!! The wings we got were the spicy and the sweet, both were soooo good. Definitely coming back here!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars Korean Soul Chicken is hands down one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in San Francisco. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and packed with flavor. The sauces are bold, well-balanced, and addictive — especially the sweet and savory options. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything tastes freshly made. The vibe is casual and welcoming, making it great for dine-in or takeout. If you love Korean fried chicken, this place is a must-try. I’ll definitely be back!
Korean Soul Chicken was absolutely delicious. We ordered the fried chicken, which was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. I also had the BBQ pork, and it was tender and full of flavor. The potstickers were amazing, crisp, fresh, and not greasy at all. The service was excellent and very attentive. The food was super affordable and everything tasted fresh and well made. I would definitely recommend
This place was so good. I ordered delivery from here last night, and took the bus here after work tonight. I got the Bi bim bap and Korean corn dogs. The bi bimbap is super flavorful and the sauce it comes with is also very good. The corn dogs are super yummy and crispy, and the sauce is very good!!

Seaweed Rolls were a surprising treat! Seaweed wrapped japchae. Ordered the galbi boneless and house special sauce wings. Flavor is good and chicken is crispy and moist. Not sure if it sat for a little bit before service because only the seaweed rolls were hot! Good portion size. These are 2 half orders, packed some to go! Service is superb, very nice staff. Would definitely come back to try other flavors.
I was craving chicken wings on our trip so I found this place, only a mile from our hotel. It was worth the uphill San Francisco trek. Nice crispy crunch to the wings and tasty sauces couldn’t be beat. As the food was being brought out I went to wash my hands. I heard the gentleman explain to my husband the proper way to eat kimbap. They want you to have the best experience and enjoy your meal. **no option to post pictures will try later
Good Korean fried chicken in the upper Polk gulch. Tasty Korean snacks that are perfect for dinner or during a playoff game. Now if your not a sauce person order it on the side cause they lay it on thick. The garlic and jalapeño is good and spicy. Definitely a lighter sauce than the Yaung Nyum sauce. Homemade goodness here, sweet, tangy, sticky, everything you want in a sauce like this. But it can be a bit much tho. The seaweed rolls are always a delight. And I’m glad the coleslaw was the classic creamy style. Nice size portions well made food just remember to get the sauce on the side and you can’t go wrong.
Good quality fried chicken with just enough batter. Only been here once hence 4 stars. I tried their half/half (bone/boneless) yaung nyum chicken and their original corn dog(just sausage) with ketchup only. Both tasted great, I do appreciate the gloves to eat the chicken. Next time, I'd get them with all bones since they are more moist. Boneless was fine and I generally like it because it's easier to eat. Now that I know they offer gloves...I'm going for bones! Worth coming back to try the other flavors.
Amazingly delicious chicken wings. I went with the bone in. They're fried, served hot and tossed with various sauces. Service was kind and helpful. Would recommend!

I’m just gonna say it: it smelled weird in here. Damp, like a locker room. It wasn’t bad enough to deter us but enough to color the experience negatively — I imagine I’d probably rate this high if I had it for takeout (and, it seems like most people coming in were there for pickup). Still, sometimes these rough-around-the-edges mom and pop shops can be surprisingly good, and that was true for the Korean fried chicken. Spicy, crispy yet super saucy, and mixed in were these lovely, chewy little rice cake tteokbokkis. I’d pass on the bibimbap, as the bulgogi was chewier than expected and the oil was a little heavy handed. I have a feeling I would’ve liked this more after a drunken night out, so perhaps this great Korean spoon is best saved for late nights with friends.
It wasn’t good as I thought. I was expecting more crunch and I felt like I was eating Wingstop wings

You will have to order and pay before taste the food. I ordered a spicy dish but it came as a sweet dish. Didn't take long to food to arrive. The food is passable but not good. Atmosphere is horrific and didn't smell good as well.
Order from Aria Korean Chicken instead. I paid $19 for what should have been 7-8 wings ($2.40 per wing!!!) but instead I found 6 wings in my order. Not only that but the wings were not particularly tasty nor spicy (I ordered the spicy wings). Do yourself a favor and buy from Aria instead - it’s SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper AND they give your more food and tastier food. Or maybe even order from The Bird or AWB instead for better spicy chicken.
