Finally an ice cream shop in the neighborhood! Loard’s is a classic, old-school ice cream spot. The lemon and cookies and cream were delicious!

Had an amazing sandwich here on Portrero hill at Loard’s Ice cream Parlour such an amazing experience and the sandwich was really out of this world and staff was very freindly here 10 on 10 for this place. keep it up ❤️❤️

Drove past the neighborhood and noticed the ice cream shop was open. I came in with the intention of just getting ice cream but I was surprised to see they also sold sandwiches! I decided to try out their California sandwich, and I was blown away by how amazing it was. The flavors were perfectly balanced. Their selection of ice cream flavors was impressive, but I settled on classic vanilla because, let's be honest, you can never go wrong with it. And boy, was I right! The vanilla ice cream was creamy, rich, and truly delicious. Can’t wait to come back again!

Came in for ice cream and saw they also sold sandwiches so why not! Bread was soft, fresh Boar’s Head meat, I got the Missouri sandwich which came with this creamy aioli sauce and I got it customized and added some avocado spread as well, tasted amazing! Friendly staff, so many ice cream flavors, will definitely be back for more. Not to mention this location has great views of downtown SF! Free easy street parking too which is hard to find in the city.

Loard's in P Hill is finally open! I love it! The staff is friendly, the ice cream is awesome and of course the location is great! The SF library is across the street, Good Life, Thinker's Cafe and the corner store are all within arm's reach. Expect to run into your favorite locals and neighbors since Loard's is situated near to St. Teresa of Avila, the preschool, Daniel Webster Elementary school and Potrero Rec Park.

Such a cute little spot in the neighborhood! The junior sundae was the perfect size for "I deserve a little treat" moments and the flavor options were varied! Excited to have them here and to try out new flavors! My only ask is to have sturdier spoons, but given this was their first day, I'm not that upset. Thanks!

So it finally opened and it does not disappoint! I had the smoked turkey sandwich and it was delicious. The ciabatta bread was toasted and the cheese perfectly melted. The sandwich was flavorful and filling. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and the person making the sandwich actually cared about what they were doing. I got the sandwich with the chipotle sauce and it actually packed a little heat! So beware.

So nice to have a neighborhood deli and ice cream parlor! I'd never tried Loard's ice cream before, and I'm glad I did - it's definitely premium quality. I indulged in the chocolate peanut butter, and enjoyed the creamy texture and solid flavors. The folks working behind the counter were attentive and kind, letting me try a variety of choices before making my final choice. Looking forward to coming back to try their sandwiches soon.

Super large scoops and we even got to try some of them before committing. The staff was really nice and let us take our time with the order and weren't pushy. The ice cream itself wasn't too expensive, but came out immediately and we got large portion sizes for each scoop. I liked the strawberry flavor the most! The inside also looks cute, lots of color and a nice find for a spontaneous date!

Bread was not 💯% fresh. Next time, I would request the sandwich be toasted if the bread wasn't fresh. Could have used more mayo. My wife had a hot coppa sandwich on a French roll. She liked her sandwich a lot more than I did. Her sandwich had more mayo than mine. Next time, I will try one of their signature sandwiches. Service was friendly. My wife also tried the cherry 🍒 vanilla ice cream. It, unfortunately was a bit gummy and they used maraschino 🍒 instead of fresh 🍒.

My biggest disappointment was the customer service. The person working was talking on the phone when I arrived, scooped a fairly icy portion of ice cream, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing them by coming in for ice cream. Next time I’m walking on 20th and want a frozen treat, I’ll probably get a pint or ice cream bar next door.

Avoid this hilltop hovel. Four *definitely not* service dogs, two off-leash, one seen outside licking at a piece of dog poo, came in within 5 minutes. Yuck. The ice cream is decent – think licensed Thrifty’s. The sundaes are elaborate and the staff chipper and helpful.

I went back the same day, and he gave my friend a small, icy scoop and was on his phone the whole time… not the ice cream experience I was hoping for. It’s like they intentionally pumped extra air into it just to fill the pint with less actual ice cream. For the price, I expected something rich, dense, and creamy… not a glorified cloud.
