Such an amazing vibe in this hidden gem. Was visiting with my friend and this was the highlight of our trip. Every drink we tried was amazing, and we absolutely loved all the high-class vintage feel of the place. The place is surrounded by vintage typewriters, and the low light ambiance was perfectly paired.

Loved the drinks, the vibe, and really lucked out with latine live music! The noise level was loud and energetic and still our waitresses managed to recommend great drinks and make friendly conversations. The best nightcap in town!

Cool speakeasy in the heart of downtown SF, right on Market street. Nice ambiance and good drinks at the bar, with a good selection of whiskey and house cocktails. They have a small dance floor as well. Cool place to stop by to chill and have some good drinks.

We read about this cool bar, and I am very happy that we did. We were a party of 3, it was Saturday night, and it was our first time going into this establishment. I was a bit confused at first when we arrived as to how we were to go about ordering drinks. After we found a table, we sat down and watched. We figured out it is a help yourself to a menu and go up to the bar to order your drinks. I ordered the Ava Gardner cocktail because I am very adventurous, and it sounded pretty bomb. All of the ingredients were things that I just really could not imagine going together, but let me tell you they all sure did, and I was extremely pleased with the outcome. We each ordered different cocktails so we could all try a sip of each other's because that is what you do, right? The establishment is very cool to look at inside; we honestly looked around for probably at least 10 minutes before even getting into the sitting area, lots of documents to read, quite informative to say to least. You can be more educated by going to this place; I can guarantee it! Make sure to check this place out. I will surely be back to visit here the next time I am in San Francisco!

This is definitely one of my favorite places in SF. Cocktails are great and the music is super fun. Nice place to dance lindy hop and jazz in general.

Atmosphere was prime. Loved exactly what they had going on and the people I was with had a blast too! I wish there were snacks or appetizers to munch on. Otherwise, this is a nice place with a darn tasty cocktail menu! The staff are so so so nice and want you to enjoy yourself so they work to make sure you're comfortable. Check it out!

Cavernous cocktail bar. The owners are trying really hard to make it have an intimate, feel with many Halloween decorations and good lighting. The live music was a great touch. Unfortunately, it was pretty empty. Even when it was very empty we still had to go to the bar for our drinks. Seems like they could up the service and make it a better experience especially for the price.

Very cool cocktail bar at the very corner of 3rd and Market, super easy access with public transport. The cocktails were great, staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Because of its location do expect a very office-like/techy vibe. You can make reservations for larger groups as well.

I liked the cocktail Ava garden with jasmine tea infused vodka, coconut milk, ginger, hint of basil, and bitters. We arrived around 8pm on a Saturday and there were a few tables free but the place got filled as the night went on. The Long Goodbye has apricot and passion fruit but tasted mostly like apricot. Music is not too loud. Would go back here if it’s not crowded.

They advertised music performance , which was good, but the seat was so far and in an area that there was no way that you could see the stage. I wish we were informed about that before going when we made the reservation as we were there for the show.

All amenities and the forest are very well maintained. But noisy groups of people on motorcycles and buggies may appear. It gets noisy in the narrow canyon. This place isn't quite a speakeasy, but it does have the vibes of one. The reservations were a bit hard to get, so plan ahead. The live music was a massive boost to the ambiance. The espresso martini was really good but the Old Fashioned was rather disappointing. There aren't many thrills about this location, but it is pretty nice. If I travel here again, I will give another shot.

Used to be a favorite, but recent changes are concerning I’ve always loved The Local Edition and have recommended it to visiting friends and family for years. The vibe, the cocktails, the music — it used to strike a great balance. But after a recent visit, it feels like something’s changed, possibly new management? The music was so loud it made it hard to hold a conversation — which is surprising for a place known for its chill, sit-down cocktail experience. We ended up cutting the night short after one drink. Also, the cocktails are now $18, which would be fine if the portion hadn’t been noticeably smaller. It’s hard to justify the value, especially when this place used to offer both quality and consistency. Lastly, the new furniture looks fresh but is genuinely uncomfortable — especially the chairs with wheels and bouncy springs. Not great for a lounge-style setting. I’m sharing this not to complain, but because this place has been a staple in SF and I’d love to see it stay that way. The foundation is still there — it just needs a course correction before regulars like me stop coming back.
