This is the best pupusa place in the city . They also have great plantains and Atol de elote.

Good food! Mom and pop shop for sure. Been coming here since I was a kid, love the papusas.
I love the pupusas and their hot corn drink called Atol De Elote. Delicious.
One of my favorite spots to get my traditional plates from my country El Salvador. PUPUSAS!!
The best Pupusas in San Francisco & great food, the best, i recomend this restaurant to any one, love it.
The most and good Salvadorian food I ever tasted yummy!

You feel the salvadorean atmosphere here.Small place but good good try it
The best salvadorean food!!
Best Pupusas and empanadas de platano in town
Pupusas are really delicious.. You can order for pick up or dine in. They only except cash!!!! You can also order your pupusas Made from Masa or rice flour
My family has been coming here since before I can remember and I'm 41. The best pupusas with toppings. Very small place.
I love pupusas made here! I went once and never stopped coming back😂 Authentic salvadorian food!💯
Best pupusas in town! We love their fried yucca with chicharrón and the carne desilada with rice and beans.
A great place for traditional tasting pupusas!! The staff is super friendly. Just make sure you bring cash because this place on accepts USD.
The food was good specially the pupusas, the lady is also nice and very attentive. But the place for dine is kind a small. We will be back for sure
Best Pupusas and Atol de Elote for the past 15+ years! On the weekends they have Ensalada drink (Fresh fruit drink) Buenazo!!!
The pollo asado (grilled chicken) plate $16 comes with rice, salad and two pupusas (flat bread.) The lack of seasoning on the salad was refreshing. If it wasn't for the flat bread, I would have still been hungry as the single chicken thigh was not enough for dinner. They were quite busy when I came at around 8pm on a Thursday.
The best Salvadoran food in the Bay Area
Amazing food fast service, and delicious Salvadorian food will be coming back for sure
One of the best spots in Excelsior. Been going here for years and it seems like all other pupuserias is no match for this place.

I moved from Los Angeles to Santa Rosa and have not had good Pupusa in over a year. I made a drive out to the city and came across this little spot and I’m glad I did. I went during the week and parking was very easy to find. The food is made fresh so there’s a little bit of a wait, but I was happy to wait when I got my food. It was fresh and piping hot!
4 Pork and cheese papusas. It comes with pickled Cabbage and a tomato sauce. Prices is a lot but very tasty
A true treasure. I have been going to this place since I was a kid. The food is authentic, flavorful and well portioned. They are the only pupuseria that makes pupusas from rice flour. Give this place a chance and you won’t be disappointed.
First time the other day! So glad we found you. The pupusas were delicious and service kind and friendly. Not just cash, we paid with a credit card. Cute little upstairs seating to get out from the cold. See you next time!
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Los Planes De Renderos in San Francisco, and it was truly a delightful experience from start to finish. The staff members were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we stepped in. Their warmth and genuine care for their customers added an extra layer of enjoyment to our meal. Not only was the service impeccable, but the food itself was simply outstanding. Each dish was prepared with care and expertise, bursting with authentic flavors that transported me to El Salvador with every bite. From their mouthwatering pupusas to their tantalizing plantain dishes, every item on the menu was a testament to the culinary mastery of the chefs. Overall, my visit to Los Planes De Renderos was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of impeccable service and exquisite cuisine made for an unforgettable dining experience. I can't wait to return and indulge in their delectable offerings once again. Kudos to the entire team for their dedication to excellence! I would like to thank Beatrice and Sonia personally for the exceptional experience and their pupusas are a must try!
We have family in the area and ALWAYS make a trip here for pupusas. The bakery next door is also amazing, but these pupusas have the edge over the others nearby. Definitely give them a shot. Cash only, but worth it.
Myself, family & friends eat here always. They have an upstairs to accommodate. Small place but cozy. No one bothers you. Cause everyone is hungry!! Awesome homemade pupusas with sides order if you wish. We had a small party for my daughter. Cake & Ice cream. No reservations. 1st come, 1st serve.. I always leave with 2-4 xtra to go.
Busy place with good food & a bakery right next door that is also well stocked. Both places are typical Latin people and foods. Try it it is very good and entertaining.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Homely pupuseria with authentic food. I had the zucchini, bean and cheese, and this flower pupusa with curtido. It was amazing!
Some of the best pupusas in the Bay Area. Thick greasy and filling . Fried plantains and refried beans round out the perfect meal here. The elote is also great.

Very good food but the chef may be in a bad mood from time to time. I want to pay my compliments but I cant tell if he is having a bad day or if is normally like that.
Atol shuco, a bit fermented hot drink that’s made with black masa flour, alguashte (ground pepitas)and whole beans, it can be an acquired taste if you never tried it before. The tamal de elote that can be prepared two ways, plain and fried, naturally sweet prepared on a corn husk and they are served with crema Salvadoreña. The pupusas are famous in the area and they are extra cheesy with the homemade quality that is hard to emulate. The platanos fritos are served with beans and sour cream. The camarones empanizados, (breaded shrimp) are served with beans and rice, salad and homemade tortillas. Tables are located on the second floor with tireless servers going up and down the stairs that provided excellent service on a busy evening.

Remember this is a cash only restaurant. The dining area is upstairs. The atmosphere is rustic. I don't imagine that there is access for disabled persons. The food (pupusas) is pretty good! The servers are fairly attentive. The cost is a bit high, though..
If you are looking for authentic Salvadoran food this is definitely a place to visit. On my last visit, however, the horchata was too sweet (I had to water it down) and the pupusas revueltas were too salty. Nonetheless, this small hole in the whole type of restaurant serves delicious food. Do keep in mind that it is CASH ONLY and they do not have an ATM on sight.

The food is very good I love the tamales from here, the only thing that disgusted me is the amount of hair I have in my food each time I get a tamale from here :/
This place got recentky shut down bye the city cuz they were too dirty use to be my favorite but lis panchos next ro burger king bye valencia st is a lot better i recommend yall going there 💯
Very disappointed with the pupusas and family wasn't happy with it and I order meat with some sauce not tastey
Wow!! so disappointed, about their service, the portions and price. I don’t mind paying $12 dollars for a full plate or even more. But they will rip you off if you don’t check your food before leaving the restaurant. Either missing food or put, half a portion for a full price plate. The food taste is good but service is horrible👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Food is good. Customer service could be better , the ladies there are always kind of dismissive and never have conversation with me. Also I always ask for just pupusas with no curtido or sauce (because I don’t like the way it smells it makes me nauseous) and they always give it to me anyway so that tells me they don’t listen. Their restaurant is clean but baby high chair was not clean and sticky I didn’t feel comfortable having my baby sit there. I do like the food tho it’s really good. But I’m in the customer service industry and some customer engagement can really make or break someone’s day. Now I only take my food to go from this place.
This was so disappointing as I expected the pupusas to be salvadorean pupusas or at least taste good. The pupusas are huge and made with minimal filling, very heavy and greasy as well as tasteless. I felt like I was eating a tortilla instead of a pupusa. The tomato sauce was tasteless, extremely runny and watered down. Never again will I visit this spot and spend over $100 on their food.

No one speaks english so it is incredibly difficult to order, I would have rated higher for the food but we could not order everything we saw on the menu because no one could understand each other :(
