Looking for quick and healthy food for lunch before leaving town, we discovered this restaurant on Mission St. On entry we were struck by two things, the bright, clean and chery place and the extremely fresh salads that were already being made for others. We both ordered the cobb salad with added grilled chicken. So fresh AND the chicken was tender and juicy. What made the whole experience even better was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by those running this restaurant. A wonderful find!

This place has no right to be as good as it is! The salad is very fresh with the ceviche having plentiful shrimp and flavor. The tortilla soup is the best I've had in a restaurant and the sandwiches are stellar. All this for 13$? I'll definitely be back for more.

This place is bomb. Healthy, fresh, filling, diverse ingredients. Not your basic salad or wrap. Loved the fresh green juice too, I'm tired of syrups and added sugar.

Had the summer salad, they have wonderful dressing and fresh ingredients. The pasta ravioli salad (yes you heard correct) was perfect cooked and the sauce was delicious. Ham sandwich was toasted to perfection, amazing fresh bun along with all the fixins!

Great fast service. Friendly staff. Large servings. Reasonable prices. Clean environment. Great location. Highly recommended.

The chicken veggie panini was SO good. The lady running the place was very friendly. Good prices too.

Awesome healthy whole food options! Fresh juices and salads and healthy sandwiches served by friendly people in an easy to park neighborhood. Nice art and flowers decor, plenty of seating, and they even separate their trash recycle and compost. Definitely recommend the fast service and healthy options.

The first time I been here was when I was picking up for a delivery and I knew I had to come back to try this place out. Finally I got the chance to come here and give it a shot. Upon arrival, the place was filled with great aroma coming from their sandwiches which in fact made my appetite grew even more. At the moment the staffs were busy preparing existing orders, but was still nice enough to take my order. They offer breakfast sandwiches, paninis, regular sandwiches, specialty sandwiches, salads, a kids menu and much more to choose from. Everything here is made to order which is always a plus for me since it is quality over quantity and I never mind the wait because I am a very patient person. You can dine in, order for takeout, place an order by giving them a call or order for delivery via a delivery app. I chose to eat there because I was really hungry, and I got to enjoy the air conditioning along with watching T.V. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained, and understanding where it made my visit a satisfying and issue free one. I highly recommend this place to all sandwich lovers, if you are in need of a quick bite, to anyone willing to try something new or if you just so happen to be in the area to check them out. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.

I had an amazing experience at this place for the second time. The salads were incredibly fresh, with a wide variety of toppings and dressings to choose from, making it easy to customize exactly what I wanted. Each ingredient was crisp, flavorful, and obviously high quality, from the vibrant greens to the perfectly ripe avocados. The service was just as impressive as the food. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping customers make the best choices. They took the time to explain the menu and made great recommendations, which really made the experience enjoyable. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their creative combinations. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a healthy, delicious meal with top-notch service!

2025 update. No line today at lunchtime. My salad was a Chef's Salad, one scoop of chicken salad and tuna salad with turkey, ham & cheese $17. This tasted OK. I usually get the pesto salad but I didn't see it. The scope of chicken salad was surprisingly good. I was a bit hungry still after eating this. Luckily I got a crepe down the block as a back-up in case I was still hungry. Original review: The Salad Place makes good salads/sandwiches. They aren't as good as the other places in the city but this is Outer Mission. Healthy options are limited. For lunch I had their turkey sandwich on dutch crunch $12 + avocado $2.50 and a ceviche $9. Everything tasted fresh. On the sandwich, I would have preferred more avocado, other than iceberg lettuce and some sort of garlic or pesto sauce. This was good, but tasted plain. The ceviche was also good. I like how they use bigger shrimps. Service was excellent. Good job staff at The Salad Place.

Some how we stumbled upon this amazing small business! The most delicious Turkey Bacon Avocado sandwich! My mom got the Veggie lover. Unfortunately it was devoured before I got a picture of it! 😂 Fresh ingredients! Sandwiches are HUGE!!! A beautiful owner and staff that you can tell absolutely care about each of their customers! We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

Hungry and on a extric low carb diet. Saw this place on my way to run errands and decided to try it. Ordered the house salad and not only was it so beautiful but the ingredients were soo fresh and delicious! I was served super quick too. I will be definetely coming back.

My Realtor friend suggested this place after seen a house I'm marketing, and wow describes the food, although the place is small. I ordered a panini bread, tuna fish sandwich. I came here with my mother and it was so delicious!! I had the salmon bagel and we split a large chicken tortilla soup. I requested no cream cheese on my bagel and they were so nice they even split the soup into two bowls and made one without cheese, I didn’t even have to ask!! Everything was super fresh. They gave us samples of the tropical smoothie and it was so good that we ordered two for ourselves. I live in the neighborhood and I’ll have to make this my new breakfast and lunch spot. Cute, low key corner shop. Very chill and the salads surprisingly delicious. Normal SF pricing ($15 per salad), though portion size is a bit smaller than expected. Got the house salad.

Newly opened, was curious about the food since there aren't a lot of sandwich places in the neighborhood (no, Subway does not count). Very nice staff, very clean looking place selection decent. Grabbed a Pastrami on rye bread and a medium pesto pasta salad. Nice melted Swiss cheese, pastrami is lean, has small kick, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, very tasty. Pesto pasta salad very good flavor, pesto not over powering. I didn't order drinks but may in a future visit. They have smoothies, espresso and so on, but Mexican bottled glass Coca-Cola, oh hells yeah!!! I'd definitely come back just to try their other selection.
