First time trying Ocean Subs today. Delicious! We ordered the original and the atomic w/cheddar toasted on Dutch crunch. Meat to bread to veggie ratio was perfect. Bread was tasty and had a satisfying cronch. Service was great and staff so nice! 10/10 recommend. Understand exactly why they have earned so many awards. Only nega tive thing I can say is parking can be challenging to find. However that’s SF and not the shops fault lol.

I tried the best tuna sandwich in San Francisco in my opinion 🥰 I had it on sourdough bread and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried the turkey slices with roasted beef on Dutch crunch bread, and that was amazing as well 🤍 The staff were cheerful, friendly, and very welcoming, I really loved their service and attitude. Highly recommended!

I finally had the chance to try this place out, the last time around, I was parked right out front, but the place was packed out the door. Upon arrival, I was greeted by their very welcoming, well trained and understanding staff. Their menu is very simple, consists of their specialty subs, salads and an option where you can build you own sandwich. Everything is made to order which is always a plus for me and I never mind the wait since I am a very patient person. You can have your sandwich just like it is or you can have it toasted. And not to be cocky or anything, but when I first arrived it was empty, and as time past by the place got filled. A lot of times I go to places where it might be a few to none customers and I believe I bring in the good fortune. People that know me know that is a straight up fact and I am happy especially for this place since they have only been around for ten months. Lastly from the staff to the sandwich and atmosphere it was a great experience. I highly recommend this place to all sandwich enthusiasts, if you are on a limited time or to anyone looking to try something new just like me. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.

Absolutely delicious. The perfect size packed with great flavors you’d want on your sub. I ordered the Atomic Sub and it came with so much meat and veggies - you can easily save half for later and be just as satisfied later finishing it. Made to order and guaranteed fresh. All meats and veggies are prepped day of so expect your sub to be the freshest possible - quality is noticeable. Thanks Lee for an amazing meal and an even better conversation. Bro… I usually do not write reviews but I’ll have to write one for Mr. Lee the owner. I got the atomic sub and when he said “all the ingredients are fresh” it is lmao I could taste everything on every bite on my sandwich. While me and Mr. Lee having a conversation I was watching how they make my sandwich and ngl S/O to the deli man name J! He was preparing my sandwich with such a care that I’ve never seen and done before. Just by that I knew this gon be one of mu favorite sandwich spot go to. Great portion and man just the taste! Most deli shops just taste the same but this one takes it. I won’t compare the other deli shops but OCEAN SUBS is a must TRY!

As an SF native, I've been looking for a simple, fresh, thinly cut meat, fresh Dutch crunch sandwich and this is it! A lot of old school places have closed and new places that pop up are doing too much with sauces, fusion, etc. Great tasting sandwiches here, the owner was really cool, and I love supporting my fellow natives. Been twice already. Probably the best sandwich in the City right now.

Yummy sandwiches from local folks! Chef Lee runs this joint and he actually is a super talented popup chef who does tasting menu dinners, but wanted to start a sandwich shop in the neighborhood. Bread is hella good!

Got two 8 inch subs for $12.50 each. I'd highly recommend one of their premades as the Italian sandwich I had was a really good value and extremely tasty. Can't recommend it enough.

Nothing but high praise and kind words for Ocean Subs! From a menu that offers both pre-set options and fully customizable subs to match whatever your taste buds are craving, to fresh ingredients and generously stuffed sandwiches (no skimping here), to the great service and down-to-earth staff, I can’t speak more highly of my experience. The value of the combo (sub + drink + chips) is unmatched and such a bargain, especially considering the quality you get for only $15. I loved every bit of my visit here, and I’ll definitely be coming back to try more of their subs!

The only thing that would be nice is if they had some kind of system to order ahead, oh well can't have everything!

A really fair price for the meats and cheese inside he sub.The owner is a really pleasant young man who cares that your order is exactly as you tell him.Always a greeting and a smile and a damn good Sub, only four choices but all delicious ... you get quality and you taste its fresh, ask for the dutch crunch heated to complete this chefs say :)

They were able to put these tsunami sauce on the side for me since I wasn't going to eat it right away. It's the kind of place where they remember your name :)

I came here because I thought it was still Deli World. Mrs. Kim kept telling me for years that she was going to retire, and I thought I'd catch her one last time before I moved away from the city. It's now under new management and I'm glad I came. The subs were fresh, tasty, fat, and great priced for the amount of sub you get. Would highly recommend. I loved coming here as a kid for their ice cream when they were next to JCD. This place still has that old-school vibe from Deli World, including the chairs. Feels like a homage to a great business that thrived in the Excelsior. I wish this place the best of luck 👏
