I ordered the salmon and it was very crisp on outside and perfectly cooked on the inside, and the asparagus was also cooked very wonderfully! Super tender!! The bread pudding dessert was divine and so well made with beautiful presentation! Atmosphere and ambiance was perfect and server was friendly. Wouldn’t necessarily call this Greek restaurant because the menu is not necessarily mainly Greek there’s just some Greek options.

On our last evening in San Francisco, a friend took us to Novy, a Greek restaurant and we had s fabulous dinner. We started witha couple of appetizers : Brussel sprouts and Grilled Hallumi . Then shared a delicious salad and a very tasty Moussaka. While we almost missed our flight, it was a wonderful culinary way to end our trip to San Francisco

During our visit to San Francisco last week, we celebrated New Year’s Eve with friends at NOVY in Noe Valley. This family-owned, woman-run Greek restaurant impressed us with its mix of traditional Greek cuisine and fresh California comfort food. Arriving for Restaurant Week at 6:30 PM, we were promptly seated thanks to our reservation. The interior, though cozy, exudes a modern charm with creative touches like cheese grater lamps. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, perfect for our celebration. Here’s what we enjoyed: Appetizers: • Hummus: Creamy and flavorful, paired with fresh pita bread. • Fried Calamari: Lightly battered and complemented by yellow onion, tarragon, and a spicy aioli. • Fried Brussels Sprouts: Crispy with a delicious mix of bacon, mizithra cheese, and chili flakes. Entrees: • Moussaka: A standout! Crispy on top, with rich layers of beef and eggplant, it was perfectly executed. • Pesto Pasta: Bucatini with tender Mary’s chicken, smoky bacon, kale, and a creamy pesto-gorgonzola sauce—a hearty and satisfying dish. • Chicken Apple Walnut Salad: Grilled curried chicken breast paired with crisp green apple slices, toasted walnuts, and a house-made honey mustard dressing. Fresh and flavorful. • Chicken Wrap: Packed with Mary’s chicken, lettuce, tomato, pickled onion, tzatziki, and salsa—a perfect balance of freshness and zest. Desserts: • Galaktoboureko: Flaky and decadent, with a delightful berry sauce that tied it all together. • Brioche Bread Pudding: Warm and comforting, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel. • Flourless Chocolate Cake: Rich, smooth, and topped with a luscious chocolate ganache. The service was excellent—efficient and friendly, with dishes arriving quickly despite the busy evening. NOVY offers a polished yet relaxed dining experience that’s great for fans of Greek and Mediterranean cuisine. With its rich history and thoughtful touches, it’s a must-visit spot in Noe Valley. Highly recommended!

My lunch experience at Novy: Nestor was my waiter, a friendly, organized, professional person who walked around the room interacting with different customers. He resolved my questions in a few minutes and quickly brought my order before the kitchen closed. He recommended the lamb burger and it was really good. I would order it again (I don't usually order hamburgers). I also tried two different glasses of wine and it was good.. Cheers !!

This restaurant is a great example of what pride of ownership looks like. The cleanest bathrooms I’ve ever seen in a restaurant (bathrooms matter, because it shows how clean or dirty the staff/ manager can be). Nice outdoor and indoor seating area. Amazing service and delicious food. This is my perfect 10 restaurant in San Francisco, when it comes to cleanliness, food, service and price.

Very fine place for an afternoon meal. Enjoy a sunny sidewalk table, dog and people watching, nice healthy dishes and impeccable service. The heaters are on our there making a partially sunny day just beyond! Super happy to have found Novy. Suggest you try the salmon if you like healthy food.

Staff were very friendly with speedy service! The place was bustling but we didn't have to wait long for our food. And then our food was good too! I think our fav was the lamb gyro. Met one of the owners and she was very nice too. 5-star all around!

Had a delicious brunch outside with our pup. We sat in their partially covered outside with heaters which was super comfy. Wine selection was great, food was really tasty. I highly recommend the grilled halloumi with tapenade. The brioche French toast was perfect to share. We’ll be back to try the lamb burger!

Love to come here for Moussaka! Always delicious and juicy, right from the oven. Was really happy to find this lovely Greek spot in Noe Valley. I always was lucky with being seated without wait and even had choice of spots. My favorite though are bar stools with a view to lively Noe street. The ambiance and service here are great, modern interior and nice tableware significantly add to the experience. They have vegan options. My husband likes their burger with beyond meat and sweet potato fries. Highly recommend to give it a try if you crave for a good moussaka or lamb gyro.

I came here on the weekend and the wait was not too long. The food was solid and portion is pretty generous. Definitely try the lamb gyros it was very delicious! Very family and dog friendly!

In the Noe Valley neighborhood of SF lies Novy, a fantastic modern Greek restaurant with a laid back vibe and delicious food. The surrounding area allows for decent parking options and the walk over no matter where you are is nice since the area itself is quaint. The interior is nice and modern although we opted to sit outside and enjoy the weather a bit. The staff was very friendly and on top of things, clearly making sure that we were happy and content with our food. Speaking of food, it was great. We ordered appetizers of grilled halloumi and fried calamari, both of which were great but with the halloumi’s rich and savory flavor really standing out. After that we ordered the lamb bolognese, which again was fantastic. The thick noodles had a great chew and the bolognese was savory and had a great contrast to the feta sprinkled throughout. The portion was also pretty decent making sure we felt full by the time we left. We also ordered their flourless chocolate cake to go which we ate later and it was delicious. Overall, the meal was just great and the setting brought it up another notch. This is just a great restaurant flat out and we would say reckons a serious try if you’re in the surrounding area of SF.

This greek restaurant offers a lovely ambiance and a solid variety, including salads, pasta, burgers, and wraps. I tried the chicken wrap, but it tasted rather bland and didn’t stand out for me. The service was just okay—neither exceptional nor poor. On the bright side, the setting is quite pleasant and makes for a nice dining atmosphere. Overall, it’s an average spot; I hope they improve flavor and variety in the future.

I brought 5 family members for Brunch last Sunday . Even though the food and ambiance were nice we never felt welcomed. When we arrived at 10, there was no smile or kindness , and the waiter was unfriendly and acted as if we were a nuisance. Honestly, regardless of how good the food and the ambiance is if the staff is cold, unwelcoming and unfriendly there’s no way I’m going back or recommending this restaurant.
