Pasta Supply Co is loved for its fresh, high-quality pasta and friendly service. The Mafaldine with beef sugo and lobster bucatini are highly recommended. Some find the ordering system odd and some dishes bland, but overall, it's a pleasant experience.

2/22/2026 visit to the Clement St. location: Food: absolutely amazing!!!! It’s soul-healing pasta. My friend & I shared 2 entrées - Hot Mess Spaghetti & Meatballs and the Reginette & Lamb Ragu, plus the sour cream & onion burrata. Oh, and the house salad?!?! A different kind of magic. In fact, the remaining salad was part of my leftovers & the next day, it still had crunch. It is important to note that their menu rotates through dishes. Atmosphere: Cozy, warm-lighting, comforting. Service: The staff is a very special group of people who are warm, inviting, helpful with menu suggestions, & friendly conversation. I’ve known & work with one of the owners for almost 10 years now and our main job recently underwent some major changes. A staff member took the time to come over to chat with me about how I felt about everything, which I thought was very sweet. I wear my heart on my sleeve, so that small gesture meant a lot.
Try it before it’s gone! The garlic crab noodle was delicious! Pasta Company definitely puts their own spin on the crab garlic noodles. The pasta was cooked perfectly, had the right amount of texture for that chew. The two butter sauces used in the dish work well with each other. The sauce has a slight kick to it but not overpowering. We wanted to lick the plate of the leftover sauce but we are not savages haha. It only comes with “half a crab” meat that was picked. I honestly don’t think it was half a crab meats portion worth but still a decent dish to feed two. We also had the garlic bread which was also good! Going to buy my own crab since I bought the butter garlic and noodles to make at home!
It was the best carbonara ever!🥹🤩🤩😙They told me that they would let me taste the best carbonara, and it was true!! The freshly cooked carbonara was really delicious. And I accidentally spilled iced tea🥲🥰, and they were so kind to help me and even refill it. The best pasta experience in America!!
We live close by and kept hearing rave reviews about Pasta Supply Co, and finally were able to give it a try. To start off, we got the crispy parm garlic bread and the PSC greens salad. Although I'm not usually a huge garlic bread fan, we all loved how crunchy and cheesy the garlic bread was. We realized later that we should have saved it to be able to dip into the pasta sauces, but it was fabulous. The PSC greens salad was also very good. We really enjoyed the zingy lemon kick, and kept coming back to the salad throughout the meal as a contrast to the pasta. For pastas, we tried the lasagna du jour, which had broccoli rabe, the daily special ravioli (stuffed with four types of cheeses, and drenched in a spicy sauce) and the kabocha squash plumpers. All of the pastas were phenomenal. Again, I'm not usually a big lasagna fan, as it can be heavy and overcooked, but this lasagna was not heavy at all and the broccoli rabe provided a nice bitterness that cut through the rich sauce. The daily special ravioli was probably our least favorite, but was still delicious. The sauce had a nice kick, but the filling did not stand out as much as we were hoping. My favorite was the kabocha squash plumpers, which were perfectly cooked and tasted wonderful. Although the brown butter sauce was filling, it complemented the squash filling wonderfully. On top of the amazing food, the service was wonderful. We were checked on regularly, and the staff seemed to be having a great time. Although we stayed until closing as we arrived fairly late, the staff were also very accommodating and did not make us feel that we had to rush out. All in all, although I had high expectations, they were surpassed. This place is phenomenal. You need to stop here if you're in the area!
From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by their friendly staff. So happy to have finally stopped in for a visit as I’ve wanted to try this spot. Seriously a pleasant experience from start to finish. Torn between a few options, I asked for recommendations and was guided through options of to-go pasta (mafaldine with black truffle) and sauce for dinner (pork sugo) plus a tasty glass of Lambrusco while I waited. Shoutout to Phoenix and the entire team! 🍷 The service and atmosphere were super solid, and I appreciated how every touch was incredibly thoughtful. Haven’t used the sugo yet, but I can comment that the prepared pasta was out of this world - perfect execution of pasta that I will think about again. I wish there were more of these in every town as I live up in Sonoma County. Will be back! 🍝
We just had the best Sunday evening meal at Pasta Supply Co. We had the olives, burrata, broccoli romanesco, Mafaldine butter &parm, plus the lobster bucatini. If you like lobster or even think you might like lobster- GET THIS DISH. It’s an entire 1.5lb lobster split open and served with the perfectly spiced and sauced bucatini pasta. Staff was great with my toddler and really helping us have a lovely evening. Alwahs worth the trip and the wait in line to sit down.
Found this place through Mission Local’s list of closed establishments on the 30th and came to support over the weekend. Did not disappoint! Pastas were so fresh and perfectly cooked, not to mention their chili flakes were like crack!
What’s not to love about super high quality pasta in a simple, direct honest setting? Pasta Supply is that rare mix of exceptional food without excessive pretense. I adore their pasta choices that adapt and vary, as well as their sauce selection. If you eat in there is the benefit of a thoughtful well curated wine list.
The short haired girl who took my order was really sweet and hospitable, she remained attentive and answered my questions about the menu items. I was offered a table even though I was by myself, which I appreciated because I thought I’d have to settle for the bar. The service was really great and efficient, the appetizers then food came out within reasonable amounts of time. I ordered the sour cream and onion burrata, yuzu olives, and the vegetable lasagna. Believe me when I say this, everything was crack. The lasagna method is genius, seems it’s baked on a shallow skillet and the sauce is poured around the lasagna rather than it being cooked in it, this kept the layers al dente, which eliminates the problem of soggy baked pastas which are a common flaw among most places. Highly recommend 10/10
This is one of my favorite restaurants on Clement street. The food is so good and they have lots of options to take home with you, and the actual environment is super pretty. The menu is fairly small, but it definitely makes it easier to choose what you want, I still have a hard time deciding between the few pasta dishes available. It's also really cool that they don't have tipping, so you pay what you see on the menu.
(+) Meatballs (+) Burrata (+) Mafaldine was my favorite. We didn't add the truffle butter but did add the beef sugo and it was SO delicious. ( ) The bolognese was good but I wish there was more sauce. ( ) I wasn't a huge fan of the canneloni, it was a little funky to me, but my husband really liked it. (+) Service - everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive. Note - they do tack on a 15% service fee to the bill but it was also pointed out and there was minimal pressure to tip another 20% on top of it. (+) Ambience was super cute, loved seeing all of the pastas in the window and watching them get to make it too. Would definitely go again.
The price may seem more expensive, but it’s really pretty standard. In fact, it’s probably still cheaper than most pasta shops around SF since Pasta Supply Co includes tip. Everything you order is out-the-door pricing. The pasta is fresh and delicious. You can also buy their fresh [uncooked] pasta from the counter for home-cooked sauces/meals as well. Overall, I think this place is a gem. Will need to give it a few more visits! The sweet corn ravioli was a favorite: the fried peppercorn and olive oil make it so delicious and light.

Had been meaning to come here for years and finally ate for dinner! Service was great and so was the food. Cant wait to come back. 081825 monday.

Oh my absolute lord. My husband and I stubbled upon this place by chance only looking for a quick good bite to eat. Walking in it is a beautiful place. They do have restrooms for customers which when you go you walk by the kitchen area and can see the chefs prepping and making the fresh pasta and noodles. Pricing is so good for the taste. I have NEVER had pasta and a ciabatta as good, fresh, and absolutely marvelous as this place. My husband and I shared the plate of Baked Spinach and Artichoke Pene and a Meatball Marinara Ciabatta and this was SO SO SO DELICIOUS! The highlight of food the entire weekend in San Francisco! The meatball tasted to fresh and I believe they specially make the meatball in house as well as the pasta because it was that fresh and tasted so good. You will never find anything like it!
I’m only leaving this review to address the 1 star review from 4 weeks ago that I just saw where they complain about the meat in the carbonara. They are so wrong, it’s actually so tender and good and I’m going to ask for extra next time. Also the staff was very nice and he complimented the Lucy Dacus shirt one of us had on, bonus points for that.
This place ROCKS! Best pasta I’ve found in SF for an unbeatable price. It’s perfectly al dente, perfectly sauced. Also delicious sides, salads, perfect portioning, excellent wine. Great for lunch and dinner with almost never a wait. The service is always lovely: friendly, helpful, fun, unpretentious, and knowledgeable. We also love getting fresh pasta or ravioli and premade sauces and little appetizers to go! So many interesting little delicacies! The olive oil panna cotta is THE BEST, so save room for dessert.
Outstanding food. We had the house salad, lasagna of the day and the house flavor panna cotta. It was beautiful all round. Would 100% bring a friend who appreciates good food done really well. What a vibe.

Decent food in a cute spot! I got the puttanesca salt cod plumpers and they were FANTASTIC. So delicious. I loved the capers and olives. The parm garlic bread was ok, not my favorite. It had more crunch and less cheese than I prefer. The fusilli in spicy tomato vodka was rather bland so consider adding a protein! The spaghetti and meatballs were fine, a bit spicy. The puttanesca plumpers really stole the show- I’d come back just for them!
I find quickly-ordering-outside-the-restaurant system to be difficult when you have a large group but it’s probably a smart way to get many diners through in one night. The olive oil panna cotta is VERY good but I didn’t actually like the chocolate one. The fava bean pesto is also a favorite.
Took my friend to dinner tonight for her birthday. The staff was great. For me, the garlic bread was bit spicy I had the ravioli, and my friend had meatballs. The ravioli was plain, cute size. I asked if the staff could bring me sauce. Even then still bit plain. My guest's spaghetti was pretty good tho she mentioned there was no enough sauce. As more people came in to eat, was really loud. Couldn't hear each other talk. Thank you tho.

The pasta was delicious! You order before you are seated and so the whole dinner experience was quick. Beware though, they bring the food out as it’s ready, so if you are doing family style than it’s great, but if you order 2 dishes for 2 people be ready to maybe have a few mins wait between the two dishes. You can also buy pasta, sauces, and cheeses to go at their mini store inside
I ordered a lobster pasta dish. The sauce was good, but the portion size was small. They offered a 5 oz lobster tail for an additional $25 which I declined. Once I received my plate, I understood why it was offered - there was very little lobster in the dish. The garlic bread was good. This probably isn’t the place to go if you’re really hungry, unless you order sides of bread to fill you up. (Bread is not included with the meal.)
I’ll start by saying the food was great. Perfectly Al dente pasta. However, the service and ordering experience was subpar. We had to order standing outside of the restaurant, with the hostess before getting a table, which is odd for a sit down restaurant that’s easily $100 for a meal for 2. We felt very rushed to choose and it just wasn’t a super enjoyable experience for a nice dinner out. I’d expected a little more hospitality and communication for the pricepoint.
Overall atmosphere and service was wonderful. However, the oven baked pasta dish was overly hard, my friend said it hurt her teeth. The sandwich was lacking a proper flavor profile and bland. Only decent item was the carbonara, but even then the meat inside of it was far too hard, tasted kind of old. Would not recommend and would definitely not come back. We politely ate as much as we thought we could and promptly left. Staff was nice, just not worth it. P.S parking is impossible to find in the area, my boyfriend had to drive around for an additional 25 minutes when we came around noon time. :(
Sadly, very disappointing. Meatballs were RAW (see pictures), super salty, and sauce was bland and VERY greasy. Also, there was barely any sauce with the meatballs so majority grease and barely any tomato sauce. Lasagna was BLAND and BURNT black on the top and consisted of 99% over cooked lasagna pasta. Didn't taste or see any hen or pork. Lasagna was also VERY GREASY. The focaccia was very oily and hard. The greens salad was good but the croutons were greasy and not good. We had high hopes with so many positive reviews and were super disappointed. Do yourself a big favor and go somewhere else.
