Dined-in at the last minute and they seated us immediately. Clean, minimalist interior. We had the bún bò huê, and the garlic noodle with five spice chicken. Broth was a little on the sweeter side for this dish, but I liked it. The broth still had a lot of depth and umami. Chicken was crispy and juicy, and garlic noodles were pan fried! Really good prices and large enough portions for leftovers.
Update: the chicken noodle #16 is the best thing on a cold day, especially if you’re under the weather. The fresh ginger paste that comes with it gives the clear broth a nice kick. So great to have a legit pho spot in the neighborhood! Steak pho is good, beef noodle had a rich and hearty broth with lots of meat, and bang mi solid. Place is clean and modern.
Love this place, a welcome addition to the Mission-Bernal strip. Their soups are beautiful - fresh, fragrant, generous, with perfect noodles. I especially appreciate their THREE options for vegetarian soups, all delicious. A regular go-to for us.
Very excellent service. I left my to-go container behind and one of the staff ran out to catch up with me a block away. It was so sweet! Thank you so much! And the young coconut was especially delicious and fresh.
Pho Ga is excellent, broth is light and hearty with excellent flavors, I love that they include extra lime when requested. Definitely one of the best pho spots in the city.
Seriously so tasty - beyond my expectations! And better than the first time we enjoyed this authentic neighborhoody spot. The flavors were both nuanced and comforting. The quality is superb, and the quantity is definitely satisfying. We had spring rolls with pork, papaya salad with crispy tofu, garlic noodles with five-spice chicken, and wonton noodle soup. All the textures were right on, and I was impressed how each protein we had tasted unique (it’s obvious they don’t just use the same marinade or seasoning blend on everything). Will be happy to go back and try more!
This is the second time we've ordered, and really enjoyed it both times. The chicken wonton pho was tasty, and our kids loved the pot stickers. We added a bit of oyster sauce and sriracha to the soup.
Wow, this place is amazing! We had the Spicy Beef Pho and Rare Beef Pho. Broth was delicious in both. Thai Iced Coffee was quite strong and delicious. Highly recommend. Don't be fooled by the low-key atmosphere and exterior. Delicious food awaits inside.
Delicious bahn me sandwiches, chicken wings, and crispy tofu!
This a fairly new restaurant that opened up in SF several months ago. It’s located off of 30th and San Jose Ave near Cortland area. What’s really nice it’s not to far from Mitchell’s ice cream if want something sweet afterwards. I have been trying different Vietnamese restaurants for some time. I really like this place. My Vietnamese partner gives it two thumbs up for being authentic and tasty. The place has has upbeat look, it’s clean, and the staff is amazing. They are happy, engaging and really put the effort out to make sure your experience is good. They have a robust take out service. It’s must try! I want to say think to all that work there. You make my time there fun.
New pho store in town doesn't disappoint me. I tried grilled pork with noodle. It tasted great! The place is full of riders picking up online ordered food, so if you don't want to wait, order ahead.
I've only gotten food to go, but it's always been excellent. Pho combo, bo hue, so good. My partner is vegetarian and loves the crispy tofu garlic noodles.
We loved this place! So happy they're in our neighborhood! My favorite was the wonton pho, and my roommates loved the bun bo hue pho - but everything we ordered was great! Cute atmosphere and VERY reasonable prices for SF. Huge portion too - couldn't finish mine (which is a first for me!)Would have added a photo, but we ate it too quickly - next time!
This place was found by chance and its a win! I was in a group of 6 and we ordered their garlic noodles, papaya tofu salad and pho. we had the brisket and steak pho as well as the meatball pho. the pho broth was full and rich with a delicious flavor palette. the rice noodles had a wonderful elasticity and consistency. Please try the papaya salad with fried tofu! it is amazing, i've never had such good tofu it was very flavorful, crispy and the inside was super juicy. Its clean and easy, the decor is minimal and seating is comfortable.
AMAZING. Accommodated our large table and made sure we had an awesome steamboat experience. Everyone was so friendly and we had more than enough food, with plenty left Over. Then it only set us back $40 each! We will be back often :)
Firs time coming to thus place. The restaurant was super clean hood looking interior. I had the chicken noodle soup with wontons it was really good. We also shared the fried dumplings and my doughier loved them. It is in the putter mission don’t know if I would do the drive there if I was just going for the food. Overall excellent place good food.
This place is a must-try if you are in the neighborhood! The bun bo hue is amazing, easily one of the best in the city. The broth is very flavorful and the beef is tender. The vermicelli bowl is solid and you can't go wrong with that. Will be coming back soon.
Have been a few times for pho, always very good
Bun bo hue and chicken pho is great! Pleasantly surprised by this cute and delicious little spot. Wife, son, and I will definitely come back and try more dishes!
Great vegan broth veggie and tofu pho!! The flavor of the broth was so good I didn’t add any sauces to it as I usually do! My husband really liked the chicken broth pho too. Great spot! I will be back to try some other dishes.
Good service and good quality. Went with my friends and they god the chicken pho and veggie soup and they both loves them. I got the garlic noodles and they were good but a bit dry.
We've been eating here at least once a week. So happy they opened. Love their coconut coffee slush, red bean coconut slush, rice meals, cha gio. Excellent service.
I enjoyed my visit. I really liked the Spicy Chicken spring roll. My Pho was really great and flavourful. Portions are huge and the place was clean. I would go back for sure.
Pho Day speaks for itself. You can make it a pho day everyday with their pho. Enjoyed every bite & slurp of the Combo Beef Pho which the kid behind the counter said he eats regularly. Most visitors were picking up their meals on the cold-ish day I visited. So definitely stop by for some satisfying pho when you're in the mission.
That was very delicious experience! Quality was good, flavor was good! Service was quick and friendly! The restaurant’s vibe was new and clean! We will be back!
Very good pho. Broth was full of flavor and not watered down like so many other places. Was not salty either; just all flavor. Meats were also high quality too. And the inside was very clean. You can tell they take pride in their restaurant.
oh man that beef noodle soup was bomb. i was face first in that thing. the noodles were soft and silky which gave it a nice chew. the broth had the perfect amount of richness. wish it was called 'pho days' though
Absolutely loved it! The food is fresh, delicious, and unique! The atmosphere is cozy, and the service is outstanding. Definitely recommend this new spot!!
Great new restaurant! The #31 Curry mixed veg/tofu as good as #30 Steph Curry. Doesn't weigh you down and you can stay on the move.

Friendly people. Fresh and excellently cooked food. I had the Vermicelli 5 spice chicken - it was fresh, succulent and tasty. Couldn’t ask for more. Next time I’m going to also try their Pho and their drinks which all look good.
Some of the BEST pho I’ve ever had! Super cute restaurant and easy to be seated and served. Delicious broth and meat, loved the spring rolls too!

Really good pho broth. I wish they had other toppings like tripe or tendon. There is much better banh mi and garlic noodles in the city.
Casual Pho house. Good clean well prepared food. Pho Day is more like a cafe than a restaurant. They feature good value and friendly, fast service outside of the TL for Vietnamese cuisine. What's not to like? Grab some Pho and go!
April 2023: Stopped by for the chicken pho. They give you a little minced ginger to add to the soup. I thought it enhanced the flavor 👍. I would probably get the chicken pho again. August 2022: Came here for lunch and tried the pho. It was pretty good. I asked for the beef on the side so I could cook it to a medium rare state. Soup wasn't hot enough at the end. But that is my fault for ordering it on the side. The dry noodles were tasty too. One complaint was that the dish had a lot of noodles and not enough ingredients.

I eat here semiregularly, usually sticking with pho, but this time I tried the Bo Kho and regretted it. The beef was tough and inedible.
All vermicelli in pho, not a lot of protein for the price. Went with a Vietnamese person who said it didn’t taste very Vietnamese. Cha gio was such a small amount.
I’ve had the combination soup and it was good, but just ordered the veggie pho for delivery and the soup was bland even when i asked for beef broth (it was not) and didn’t come with any toppings like usual. And the tofu was just soft wet tofu, not grilled/fried as pictured. So averaging out the experience, don’t order the veggie pho and not sure this is the place for delivery ordering since they don’t add any condiments or toppings.
Really it is a 3 and 1/5 stars. Nice clean place. Ordered the spring rolls which were nice and fresh. Ordered the bun vermicelli, pork. I had to order the imperial roll for $3.00. A negative in my view as most places include it in the order. The pork was less than stellar and brought down my opinion of the food. Did not try the pho so I have no opinion on the quality of the dish.
I love going to the Mission district in SF. Remembered when I would go down that way when a KFC still existed and Valencia St. was not yet known to be hipster. You went there to get your fixing for a super fat burrito and nothing else! Or you would pop your head in and wait in line at Mitchell's for some coconut or ube ice cream or sundae! Pho Day is a casual Vietnamese restaurant opened not too long ago. The imperial rolls were Amazing!!! Loved the crisp and crunch. The vermicelli w/ shrimp was a solid choice w/ good sized prawns. The pho was good and had a clean taste. Wished they would put more noodles and meat! I'm glad that the Mission/Bernal Heights now has another spot for Pho. You can get some Mitchell's ice cream for dessert right after your meal! Service was efficient. Parking is horrible!
Just an ok spot. Wasn’t bad but also wasn’t that good. Also, seemed expensive for pho in my opinion. FYI they serve no alcohol. I wanted to give this place a try because I’ve lived near this area for a while now and have seen this restaurant change a lot (used to be a French/Italian spot, then pizza, etc.). But I had to give it 3 stars because it’s not a place worth going back to. I’d rather try new spots for pho or go to places in SF that I know are good. The pot stickers were the only thing that was really good, but everything else, ehh? The five spice chicken was on the dry side. And the bun vermicelli bowl I ordered lacked a lot of flavor. I didn’t take a picture of the pho we ordered, but that too was just ok. Feel free to go here and give it a try, I just didn’t think it was that great.

It should have been a red flag when I saw the menu and they didn't have any authentic pho add-ons like tripe or tendon, so I opted for the bun bo hue because of another review. Which btw, those that say this place doesn't disappoint has not had good Vietnamese food. The BBH had meats that don't really belong in the dish and lacked any beef or savory flavor. It literally was, dish water with some chili oil and overcooked noodles. The service was lacking and we had to locate a staff member to close out. Definitely one of the worse Vietnamese food experiences I've had. Oh, and who does wonton add-ons to pho? Terrible. Only reason for the second star is because it's new and somewhat clean.
Not friendly. Non fish order tasted like fish. Cooking oil not changed.
The food here is great, BUT THEY USE MSG IN ALL DISHES. I found out that Chicken/ Beef powder flavoring, which they use in everything is actually another way of them saying MSG. Now I know why I get diarrhea and bloating after eating there. Potential MSG Symptom Complex: Symptoms: Some people report experiencing headaches, flushing, sweating, numbness, or tingling after consuming MSG, particularly in large quantities (typically 3 grams or more on an empty stomach). These symptoms are often temporary and resolve on their own.
I had the pho bun hue and it was very disappointing. The broth lacked flavor, the wrong meat was in the soup, and the noodles were over cooked and mushy. Service was not attentive. There are so many better places for pho in the city and I regret having gone to Pho Day.
Staff seem very nice but food is flavorless. "Chicken" in the Pho is mostly skin. Hot "tea" is also flavorless and served in one plastic cup. Don't go after 7pm as they are clanging pans and taking out trash and washing the floors while you eat. ...maybe Monday is just not "Pho Day"...everything around the corner at Bac Lieu is so much better!
Worst tofu banh mi ever. Cubed tasteless tofu and the fillings were like coleslaw. Never again.
