New to the neighborhood and this is my new go to spot. Huge selection for breakfast and lunch, friendly service always, and best prices around. Fresh hot food and coffee definitely check this place out!
The Mihaly sandwich will bring joy to your nostrils and absolute delight to your tongue. The setting is quaint and inviting, but also entrancing. I considered eating outside in the sun, but grew worrisome that I would not soak up the good vibes.
my favorite study spot. I love the avocado sandwich & an iced white mocha. Fuels my study days so well & the owners are so nice :)
Super quality spot with friendly staff & a low key vibe. Been coming here for years several times a week - the breakfast sandwiches on a croissant are perfecto. Teddy forever!
I’ve been coming here for years and Teddy and his wife are always cranking out delicious food. Best breakfast sandwiches in NoPa and delicious fresh OJ.
Terry’s sandwiches are just amazing - its a wonderful way to start my day after dropping of our child nearby; or takeout for a picnic at the Panhandle park
A Sacred Ride to the Cafe Mosswood Park. It filled my nose with a trail of humble trees filtering the decay of The City. The grass cushioned their soles as I bared my soul. People politely played with perfect lives. I slowly rode on my red bike.
Nice family owned café with friendly owner and his wife. I especially love this place because they have my favorite London Fog:D I'm just so into it after trying it in Canada so many times.
Adorable coffeehouse! Solid menu and friendly service. Great spot to hang out or do work. Would love to check out poetry readings one night!
This is a neighborhood staple run by an incredibly kind couple. Their breakfast sandwiches and bagels are extremely delicious.
Saved Grounds is possibly one of the best dining experiences near USF. The homemade banana bread is great. The lasagna is also a treat and tastes so Italian American! When you visit in the morning, just say "Joe San!" which means good morning in Cantonese.
I love searching for yummy breakfast sandwiches and they’ve got a good one! I got a bacon egg and cheese on a croissant and an oat latte. Would be a great spot to sit and work on the computer. A little expensive but about right for San Francisco.
Nice atmosphere, lots of seating. All of the sandwiches and wraps on the menu were just $4.50, tons of vegan/vegetarian options. I'm not a coffee buff but the latte I got there was just lovely. Friendly service too.
This quiet little coffee shop tucked away behind the panhandle has some really great stuff. I always get a bagel (they're fresh here) and laté or mocha. The man who works there is kind and professional. I absolutely love this place.
Great place! Cute atmosphere, super nice people, great selection on menu, reasonable prices, delicious food (esp for breakfast!), good wi-fi, comfortable seating. I love the history of this place. Truly a local gem. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great neighborhood food or coffee spot.
Hippie cafe with a co-op feel. I went to open mic, one Thursday, when a friend was a featured speaker. Very comfortable environment. I had a beer and desert, which was good. The moderator of open mic asked if I had something to contribute but I was too surprised that he asked in front of everyone, not yet realizing how comfortable it was, so declined. I have meant to return, ever since.
Warm and inviting, mom & pop shoppe with a wood-finished, green-with-potted-plants interior, and simple, inexpensive food. Such places used to be more common in San Francisco. Of course, there is no inside seating during the pandemic, but there are a couple of chairs outside and take out service. The street is shaded by trees and they take care of a small street-side garden.
Been going to this little corner cafe for many years. They are always so friendly and the drinks and quick bites I’ve ordered have always been great. I always stop by any time someone is visiting SF. Love this place.
I haven't had such a tasteful breakfast in such long time, this breakfast flavor reminded me of my childhood. I really am coming back! And the place decorations make you feel in peace, a fairytale forest even 🩷🩷
Quirky place on the first floor of a house, with a full kitchen and coffee shop. They make a pretty good oat chai here.
Love the atmosphere, great coffee, and inclusive menu! Wifi for patrons and plenty of room to hold private conversations.
I love this place so much!!! This was my first time coming here and it’s relaxing and such a great place to do homework. Their coffee is really tasty and affordable for SF. I’ll be coming here often :)
Recuerdo este lugar from decades past and it was a surprise to discover it still tucked away in the outer Haight, with what appears to be the same decor, the same "vibe" it had then... The carryout menu is full, the tuna melt on sourdough uniquely tasty (mixed with grated carrot!), toasty warm, and plenty, el café strong and hot. Different owners (it seems) than then, still caring, still there, holding it together for those of us who braved the cold, gray, wet day looking for nourishment we didn't have to make ourselves. On the way to Ocean Beach, a local route. Thank you, Sacred Grounds, for being. Your breakfast made my special day even and ever more so.
The breakfast sandwich is outstanding. Great OJ and very reasonably priced coffee. The inside is very quiet and relaxing.
Great place to study with lots of seating and great natural lighting. Got the yogurt smoothie and it was sweet and tangy😋
The pastrami sandwich on the is great here, especially when it's hot. The hot sandwich is $1.00 more than when it's served cold.

This place has such good vibes that I’ll come all the way from downtown to just hang out and play cards there! It’s totally the type of cafe one could scheme and have super fun conversations. The decor and the food really aid those options.
This place has fresh boba!!! And OTC pain meds in case you feel sore after running through GG park

Nice place for a sandwich and salad. Used to be the Blue Unicorn back in the 70s where it was lit in black lights and strobes playing psychedelic music. Today it is still a place where people from the neighborhood gather to read their own poems or play songs on their acoustic guitars. It reflects the gentrification of this neighborhood but still have touches of the love generation which spawned from this neighborhood. Jimmy Hendrix lived nearby on Central Avenue and was said to come here when it was The Blue Unicorn before he was discovered. I know because my friend received a collection letter for unpaid guitar strings sent to her Central Ave. address about ten years ago! Incredibly Jimmy stiffed a guitar store for some strings and they still try to collect on them in 2008!!!
Good coffee for usa, good vegan chili soup, nice atmosphere, reasonable price for the area. The sandwiches are small (avocado sandwich didnt have much avocado in it, mostly lettuce and some tomatoes)
Used to love this place when they held a weekly Open Mic for musicians. Sorry they decided to eliminate this and go strictly to spoken word.
Spacious coffee shop inside. Reasonably priced Americano $3 medium (2x expresso). Nice seating. Includes restroom through the kitchen. Ok for men. Women little awkward with the restroom door propped open via a sand bucket. I guess can close the door. Didn't but then I'm a man. Hence remark awkward for woman/small child....
A couple of weeks ago, on our way to lands end trailhead, we Stopped for morning coffee and a sandwich. There are many cafe choices nearby but this one seemed peaceful and less crowded. The moment we were inside the cafe. It was this cozy place with old yet charming vibe. Coffee was definitely good and so was the sandwich 🥪 🤤. We got a Muffin as well as a gift to ourselves, which complemented coffee ☕️ so well. Besides food, we really enjoyed the interiors and the overall value this place offers for people like us. I could easily sit in one of the corner seats and enjoying my coffee and book. This place also had some great lessons for us; for instance: using waste plastic containers as pots. And NotFeeling bad about!!! The collection of plants was great and it gave such calming sense to us. Service was great too. Order was received and delivered with smile. They also have some collection of books and board games I guess. I would really like to visit sometime later!
I like little places they're like a hole in the wall. Cozy and good food.

Great bagels, enjoyed the lox. The build your own egg sandwich needed some sauce to get that 5th star. I really like the casual old school cafe vibe
When all the other coffee shops within a one mile radius are filled, head over here and grab a seat. There's always a table and an outlet available. Typical cafe menu, and coffee is good when laced with a lot of cinnamon and a sprinkle of nutmeg. Clientele is a mix of USF students, St. Mary's employees, and the occasional tourist looking for a restroom. * Check out their open mike and poetry night.
Nice coffee shop. The coffee is kinda average but its never super crowded and there is plenty of space. The ownders are very friendly and they make pretty much anything. ALso in the evenings there is occasionally music and poetry readings. Great little community.
It’s a cute place on the outside and inside. They have a promising menu. I will have to come back and try some of the food. But seriously this is a $4.50 sundae???? I almost gave a two but the coffee is good and others here say the food is ok. Just don’t expect a sundae like you would expect.

Love the space and the vibe, and service was prompt and friendly. Coffee prices are better than elsewhere so I might have to try again. Great food but very low quality coffee drinks. They use far too much steam in the milk, resulting in a drink that's too hot to touch for ten minutes and is very watery. Also, a latte and a mocha both tasted like they were based on a drip coffee (and not a very good one) rather than an espresso shot.

pros: - has wifi - matcha latte + turkey sandwich were solid but one huge major con: - there's no bathroom?! - flies buzzing around in the middle of the restaurant
Never going back to this cafe. Owner would not let me, a paying customer- sandwich and coffee- use the restroom. I believe this is a board of health violation. Had to walk a painful block and a half to use the medical center restroom.
Ordered two egg sandwiches on a less crowded day and waited 45 minutes. Only one person taking orders and preparing food. Based on the size of the building you would think they could handle more than 2 customers in their restaurant at once.
I asked the lady if coffe is hot since it's inside a thermos, she said yes, coffe was warm so I asked the lady I want hot coffe, she proceeded by putting paper cup inside microwave which I told the lady you should not put paper cup inside the microwave, she just nodded her head .
Skip the boba and sandwich. I love the location and vibe of this cafe. It's cute and feels very like a small neighborhood mom-and-pop shop. Unfortunately every time I visit, I'm disappointed with the subpar quality food. I had sandwich that was stale a few weeks ago. And today I had boba with stale, rock hard boba pearls. I don't know if you know this, but boba pearls need to be cooked fresh, everyday. They harden only after a few hours. Boba shops make the pearls every other hour or so to keep them fresh. I feel like this place is trying too many things but can't do any one thing well. It's a cafe, not a Quickly.

The atmosphere is great! The only reason why I gave it a one star they gave me the wrong order. The person in the front doesn’t pay attention or something. The breakfast sandwich they are ok nothing to go out way to get it. The coffee is decent too.
Was Not pleased with this place! I asked Some Asian guy about a question, And the way he acted towards Me it was Like he didn’t want My service whatsoever. All I asked For was iF they charged For a cup a Milk and immediately walked away From My conversation! IF this is how you run your business My guy, Great way to Lose it. Might wanna keep that in Mind!
