It was lovely! We walked in on a Sunday afternoon with no reservations. But they had table seating outside which was available and they even brought us blankets to wear. The food and tea were exactly what we were looking for and it really hit the spot. I had the goat cheese and Herb sandwich and then curried chicken both of which were lovely! A nice strong Scottish breakfast brew to top it off and an amazing scone. It is small so if you are looking to go, make a reservation or be ready to brave the outside seating. It is right across from Golden Gate Park right near the 9th Ave entrance.

Love this Team Room. The staff are just lovely and welcoming. Recommend booking during the weekend, as groups are usually there for wedding and baby showers. Addicted to their Egg, Curry Chicken and Scones.

Really fun place. Menu is small, but always find something I want to eat... gluten free choices too. Great staff. Best to park in GG park though.

You have to make reservations. Very tasty selection of teas and sandwiches. Their homemade jam is amazing! I wish they sold it by the jar!

Delicious tea service! We were a walk-in who enjoyed their final scones of the day. They run out of their fresh baked goods regularly, so go early. Full English tea service must be booked online in advance.

10/10 I love this place. Just a great place for a tea party. I love rooibos and I found it here. Great serving, friendly staff. Thank you for a great time. Will definitely be back!

Perfect for a tea party! The host was amazing and so welcoming. We got the Sip Classic and it was a perfect amount of food. The scones were to die for!

Wonderful little tea house by the park with quality teas, great service and delicious food. Stupidly cheap for what you get - a full 3 tier high tea for two was under $60. And if you're Australian or English, they do sausage rolls! OMG go here just for these - it was like there was a party in my mouth, but I had to tell it keep the noise down because we were were somewhere fancy, not the local pub :)

Went here for my birthday and it was perfect! One of their employee played the piano and I got to blow out my candle. Great food and service. Wonderful people. Couldn't have had it any better. Made me so happy

Had a great high tea experience here for a friend’s birthday. I wasn’t super hungry so I ordered the set with just the sandwiches, a scone and tea - which was more than filling enough. They have quality scones, clotted cream, lemon curd and a wide variety of sandwiches. Side note: LOVED that they serve a great Ploughman’s sandwich (branston pickle and cheddar). Used to have them back when I was in the UK but Ive never seen it being served anywhere else.

It has been a while since I visited Sip, and I feel like I'd forgotten how lovely it is. Our food was fresh and delicious, and our host was friendly and very welcoming. It was a quiet and chilly Thursday afternoon, and the tea room is so charming and warm. I loved all the small details.

I was part of a group of four that visited this beautiful tea house. We ordered tea sandwiches, sausage rolls, scones, and each a different tea. The foods and drinks were delicious and had a level of decadadence that I haven’t seen in the States before. We didn’t have an appointment but were welcomed kindly. The tea house was clean, and the staff were so professional. We all look forward to going back, and highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic British tea experience.

So, TikTok kept showing me videos of the tea lady reviewing all her afternoon tea places and I suddenly NEEDED a tea time. After a quick search I found this place right near the Bnb where I was staying. This was perfect. The food was excellent and SO fresh- sandwiches, scones, shortbread. Sometimes at tea shops you can tell the sandwiches have sat around for a few hours, but not here. The tea options were unique and delicious, I tried the rose. Lovely atmosphere and waitstaff. This was just perfect after a walk in the park. Wish I lived closer!

My wife and I were desperately looking for a cup of tea early on a Sunday morning. We found this place, which looked wonderful, but sadly was closed. As we were ready to walk away a lovely young man opened up, but confirmed that they wouldn’t be open for another hour or so. Never mind, we said. Wait here, he said. He came back and stated that if we didn’t mind waiting for 10min for the machines to warm up, he’d make us a tea. We waited and were eventually served the best cup of loose leaf tea in SF, and he even refused to take any money from us. Thank you for being a truly wonderful human being 😊

My daughter and I had a lovely time here enjoying amazing treats with tea! My daughter is 6, so although we couldn't finish all our goodies, we loved everything! Update: daughter now 9 and we went back again. Same as last time- excellent and a cute experience for a place to sit, chat and enjoy the company 😍

Just had to give a shout out for the lovely Sip, San Francisco's one-of-a-kind tea room in the Sunset. What a neighborhood treasure! Gracious, attentive host/owner and her staff create a warm environment to enjoy delicious, affordable, traditional English tea fare. Impeccable service, impressive tea selection, and lovingly hand-crafted savory and sweet treats have made Sip my go-to for catching up with friends, taking out-of-town guests, and celebrations small and large. The food and service is of such consistent high quality, and the atmosphere so welcoming I chose Sip for hosting my daughter's baby shower. Every visit to Sip confirms why this gem is so popular with locals and non-locals alike.

We booked Sip for our wedding reception after our ceremony in Golden Gate Park. Sip was absolutely perfect -- service, food, and ambiance were all fantastic. The food is surprisingly filling...we had hungry guests and some were worried that it would be "light bites" but it really is a full meal and we took lots to go! They also had loose leaf tea as party favors available. We loved this!

We went in a few weeks ago as part of a bachelorette party weekend in SF. The owner and her friend (who was our server) made our brunch even more fun, with great conversation. The food and tea were excellent with plenty of goodies and sandwiches to choose from. The ladies and I had a great time there, and hope to come back again soon!

A few friends and myself went here for the special Christmas tea and we loved it! The atmosphere was very inviting and the food and tea were delicious! Some of the best scones I've had. We even got a glass of sparkling wine and the service was great and friendly. I highly recommend this for Christmas tea and I'm sure regular tea service is just as good.

I hosted my baby shower here with 7 people and it was the perfect spot! The decor and ambiance is lovely, the food is delicious and filling, and the tea selection is stellar. It feels like a wine tasting but for tea. The price is very reasonable for everything that you get and the service is great as well. I will definitely be back for another afternoon tea service soon!

This place is a hidden gem! Don't bother with other places, Sip Tea Room is like having a fancy high tea with the comfort of your friends kitchen. Food, service, and ambiance all excellent. Absolutely darling experience with lovely food and tea! Great variety and incredibly nice servers. The banana cake and cookies were unbelievably good, and the clotted cream goes well with literally everything. Wish I had grabbed a little hot sauce, or that it was a little bit cheaper, but this is definitely worth a visit on a special occasion!!

A lovely English tea experience. We walked in and are seated quickly. They have really great black tea - like the “Tea Blend” and terrific scones with the right amount of cream, jam and lemon curd. They also told you the difference between the Cornwall vs Devon style of eating scones! They have a small garden at the back (4 tables). Reasonably priced, cozy ambiance, and very friendly service. I love that they look out onto the Golden Gate Park, too.

I really enjoyed eating here. Reservation is highly recommended if you want to dine outside (FYI you have to pay for the food in advance if you reserve online). Food was fantastic! I had a mango kind scone and a different flavored one that I can't remember. The sausage pastry was great and the sandwiches were filling. They provide togo containers for any food you don't eat. Great experience.

Took my mom here for Mother’s Day - it was a lovely experience! We were greeted with a welcome glass of Prosecco, and they had a pianist playing live music for brunch! The tea service started with sausage rolls, which were my favorite. It was followed by the tower of tea goodies - the sandwiches were very good with a variety of flavors. The scones were also very fresh and had good flavor. The desserts were not quite as impressive, but we were full by the time we reached the top! There was a nice selection of teas, and the pots + china they have were darling. The service here is the best - so welcoming and hospitable! My mom even received a bag of tea as a gift on our way out. Definitely great for a mom or gals date!

If you need gluten-free, message the owner before your visit so she can meet your needs. The sandwiches were creative, but I was left missing some of the more traditional flavors.. The scones were delightful, as well as the jam. I do wish we could have wrapped up our meal with some petit fours. I also wish they offered hot chocolate for the littles. We bought a little honey pot, which was the cutest. The owner seemed a bit standoffish and not very warm, although she seemed to warm up a bit after I complimented her tea room. Parking is super problematic, so Lyft there.

Wonderful afternoon tea experience right next to Golden Gate park! The only downside is parking, which is nonexistent on weekends. I had reserved a 1pm seating on a Saturday. You do have to pay in full ahead of time, including tip, which I'm generally not a fan of tipping prior to receiving any service. We arrived 30 minutes late as we spent 25 mins looking for parking and 15 mins walking over. Luckily the staff were accommodating and allowed us to stay until closing rather than rushing us out the door after our 1.5 hour seating time was up. After selecting our teas, china rose petal and green jasmine, they set out a plate of delicious baked sausage rolls. We were then served the 3 tier tray, which includes 4 sandwiches, small salad, a traditional and coconut scone with lemon curd, clotted cream, and jam, and a dessert tray 3 small treats and fresh fruit. The scones were the highlight! Light, flaky, and perfect with the lemon curd and clotted cream. Their Hawaiian sandwich was a surprise as well along with the parfait dessert. We unfortunately weren't fans of the cookie, which was quite dry.

A cute and quirky place for afternoon tea right next to Golden Gate Park. We had their full Traditional Afternoon Tea Experience. Their sausage rolls were my favourite - little morsels of deliciousness. The sandwiches were alright. They were a bit too thin and slightly on the dry side. I loved their lemon curd though. For my tea selection, I had the Blue Malva Flower Earl Grey. A nice Earl Grey that’s floral forward. The parking situation can be a problem, especially on the weekends so give yourself extra time. We ended up parking at the parking garage inside of Golden Gate Park, which has its own traffic issues but that’s another tale. It’s a great day out to have afternoon tea and visit the museums though!

Tea time at Sip Team Room is comfortable. Although it's on a busy street, it's nice and quiet inside. The whole place is clean and full of natural light; outdoor seating is also available. I commend the chef for her creativity. The special menu on the board changes regularly and offers pleasant surprises. I have to say that comparing to other tea rooms, Sip has the best sweets--good variety and with just the right amount of sweetness. The tea selection is good. The scones and the sandwiches are okay, nothing impressive. The sausage roll, however, is heavenly--highly recommended! Reservation might be a good idea on the weekend and during lunch time. Parking can be a bit challenging in the neighborhood.

After coming back from London, I really wanted to have afternoon tea with my friends for my birthday. It was important to me that the location have clotted cream. I found this place and loved how it looked. The prices were worth it. I made a reservation through their website. It is highly recommended to make a reservation. It seems they only serve during certain times as we did see some groups be turned away. There were a few tables, but it was very nice inside. We were a group of five, but we all did the deluxe afternoon tea set. It isn't stated, but you are able to choose from two type of sandwiches that are cut into three pieces (so six pieces total). I wish we knew this first since we would have been able to share the different type of sandwiches. Unfortunately, I don't recall which teas we chose, but all three were really tasty. I was disappointed in the amount of cream they gave. I understand that it may be an allotted amount per serving dish, but it was still a very small amount given. Overall, the experience was great! I was a bit worried that you can only request a reservation time and it will be confirmed later on. While they did confirm fairly quickly, I wish their scheduling system would block out unavailable times. The snacks and tea were really tasty and all the dining ware was beautiful. I was a bit disappointed in the cream portions as it was definitely not enough for all the food. The menu is a bit confusing as well. I would love to come back again soon, but will probably only come for a special event.

We went for a baby shower. Food was average. They make you preselect teas - we were allowed to select 2 teas for a party of 10. One of the teas we didn’t like but they were not able to switch that out. For a tearoom and a party of 10, two teas feels very little. They were also unaccommodating about a few other things - like an extra person that had previously cancelled but showed up on the day of. Not worth the price for sure.

We had a reservation for 1:30 for 3 people. The staff were really nice and welcoming. However this experience was really different than other afternoon teas…we weren’t able to select which pastries and sandwiches we wanted. I’ve been going to afternoon tea for the past 10 years and I’ve always given a menu of options to choose from. Additionally, the tea was served with a tea bag which flavors were not as vibrant as loose leaf tea. The whole experience felt very rushed. We didn’t have enough time to even finish one pot of tea.. The staff kept meandering around and kept watching over our table from behind the counter. Our reservation was at 1:30 and they closed at 3. We weren’t served our food until 2, giving us only an hour. On top of that, the pastries were hard and stale. Additionally, the sandwiches were very small and dry from lacking sufficient filling. The environment was cute and warm, but we payed too much for the experience we had. At $50 per person, it felt like I could’ve prepared a better tea experience at my home.
