I had the fish and chips. They were amazing. My only complaint would be portion size. I could use a bit more fish-wise. The lady tending bar was very nice. Beers were great. I absolute love it here. Will return.

Wonderful pub atmosphere nestled into San Francisco. Came here for lunch while in the city. The value and quality of the food was very good. Had the loaded fries and a burger, and couldn’t finish them all they were so filling! Also the Guinness on draft was as it should be, full of nitro.

Good pub food. Quality was consistent. We were a large group and had service fee automatically added which is fine with me as long as you are aware. Service was friendly and good. Zero mistakes with a large / custom order. Didn't wait long to get drinks and food.

Discovered this hidden gem of a restaurant one block away from our hotel. It was so good we ate here for breakfast twice ( and would have been more if we found it earlier!). The service was impeccable and the attention to detail when plating the food was “5” star. It out does any other breakfast restaurant in the area! And all for a very reasonable price point. We had the Sutters breakfast, Taylor combo, Smoked Salmon Benedicts, California and Baja Omelet. Look at the pictures with their fruit cup…made you feel special. Thank you, well done…now that’s what I call customer service!

We love English Pubs. This one was a smaller one, but they had fresh cod for their fish and chips. It came out hot and the fish was nicely done and tasty. The chips were cut thin and hot. The draft beers were a good selection. We came during happy hour from 3pm to 6pm. They have a Happy Hour meal and $6 drafts. It was only two blocks from The Donatello so we were able to walk to the Sutter Pub. Enjoy the draft beer and Pub food!

We walked by and decided to try the Sutter Pub & Restaurant on a Monday evening. The pub was about half full when we arrived around 6:30pm and stayed that way for the duration of our stay of about two and a half hours. The interior of the pub is very genuine and quite nice for a pub like this. It has several TV screens for those that enjoy watching sports. The bar counter is nice and high with high chairs for patrons that prefer sitting at the bar. There is only one booth in the bar, and then a number of tables and chairs along the walls of the bar. The booth is located next to the bathroom, which might be a bit challenging if you are seated at the both on an evening with many guests. The ceiling is very tall, but the sound level in the pub is somehow not suffering as a result, as least not on a weekday evening. The pub has an excellent beer selection with many draft beer options, and even more on bottles and cans. We tried a number of different beers and enjoyed having such a wide variety of choices. You an find anything from a lager to a wheat beer, or an IPA or gose. We were impressed by the wide range of options. The menu is typical for a pub like this, with all the dishes you would expect in a pub. We tried fried chicken, fish and chips, tacos, and burgers. The burger was cooked perfectly to order, the fish and chips were very good, and so were the tacos and fried chicken. We were positively surprised by the quality of the food at the Sutter Pub & Restaurant. The food was served pretty quickly after ordering, and we didn‘t feel like we experienced a long wait. The staff was amazing. Extremely friendly and helpful, and also making recommendations as needed. Our waitress was very attentive and made us feel welcome and appreciated, even if this was our first visit. With service like that, and with such a big beer selection and good food, we will definitely come back to Sutter Pub and Restaurant. Cozy little pub with decent, satisfying food. The Cobb salad with salmon was surprisingly good, fresh, well-balanced, and full of flavor.

Came here for lunch and we got lucky to find seating for three. The staff were very kind when serving and placing our orders it’s a pretty small pub with I think four booth and some table tables. There is some outdoor seating. The menu has a wide selection, which is really nice and we started off with an appetizer of wings. These were very good and piping hot when they came to us. I got the Sunnyside burger at medium rare. It was definitely cooked more like rare, which is not how I like it but we were in a rush so I didn’t wanna bother waiting to get it redone. I just kinda eat around it. The fries were really yummy. The Reuben was very good. There was no leftovers of it. The fish and chips are also very good and all their food were hot when they were brought out. The portion sizes are very good and the only thing we had left was a piece of fish and one wing Also reasonably priced and we were full even a little bit past dinner. I’ll definitely come here good to try other things off their menu. I’ll just be more insistent on making the burger, medium rare and not rare

Great for a quick bite! They do not have any hard liquor only beer/wine/Soju. Tables are very close together with barely enough room to get by. Food portions are huge! Also their balsamic vinaigrette was surprisingly really good with lots of herbs.

It’s a pretty tight fit inside. Had to wait for longer than expected for our drinks. Bangers and mash were great, but the fish and chips lacked flavor in the fish. Not terrible, but not a standout compared to other pubs in the area

We were going to have dinner here, but got tired, so order it to go. While waiting, sat at the bar and had a great cider in a very lively atmosphere. Food didn't take too long, so had to slam the rest of the cider and was on my way. For take out, all of the fried food was still crisp by the time we ate it which was surprising. Great fish and chips, not overly battered and full of flavor.

Sorry the Fish and Chips were not very good at all. I hope it was an off day. But that day was so off I would not order that again with the limited time I had visiting 😐. I did buy my coworker his first Guinness and perfect pour thank you bartender now he is hooked. The bar is awesome the glowing suit of armor just lit up carrying the ambiance higher. I will always remember this place because a fan of Guinness was made. Thank you for that!! Thank you for reading my review! You have been great I have been Mike C!!!

Lovely service but disappointing "Veggie sandwich". No flavor in the sandwich but I liked the unique vegetables like broccoli inside. The side salad was fresh and balsamic dressing on the side was delicious. The side of "Garlic fries" my friend got were extremely flavorful too. I was also disappointed by the limited and non-innovative vegetarian options on the menu.
