Excellent and perfect hot sandwiches and wraps. Everything. Was fresh and very kind service. So many hot sandwiches here for breakfast and lunch both. Cannot go wrong here ! Fresh juices and fresh everything !

Ok.. I just hit the jackpot with this Cafe'. I have been craving a hot pastrami sandwich for the longest time thinking the only place to satisfy my craving will be in New York until I gave Sweet Joanna’s a try. I was lucky to be there when one of the owners, Mr. Zaro, took my order and confidently assured me that their sandwiches are the best. He was not lying. I got the best looking layered sandwich of pastrami, cheese, pastrami, avocado, pastrami lettuce and tomatoes on a warm Dutch crunch. I had to take a photo of this master piece to post here. I was in heaven when I took the first bite. The bread, the cheese and pastrami were heated first, explained Mr. Zaro, then the other fixings were added. That way you get an amazing crunchy bread with warm pastrami, melted cheese and the fresh veggies. This place will be my first stop when I am in San Francisco. It is clean with friendly staff and a great service.

What a gem. The team cooked me up a delicious off-menu vegetarian breakfast burrito, drip coffee was hot and tasty, and the vibe was great to start the day.

Oh man, this place is clean and staff is so friendly and helpful. I had the pastrami sandwich and it far surpassed my wildest dreams. Togo has very nice pastrami sandwiches, however this place blows them out of the water! Huge portions, tasty and delicious. Prices better than most here in the City.

San Francisco is a shadow of it's former self. Where restaurants and cafe's used to have lines at lunchtime, now the few surviving places have to fight for the few patrons that are still left. Sweet Joanna's Cafe is a small restaurant that serves sandwiches and sweet treats at Breakfast and lunch time in San Francisco. I have happened in there several times when I was in the area, but the last time I was there I witnessed the owner's generosity as I never had before. There was a homeless person there with only $8 to his name, and wanted to buy some food from the menu. When his food was served to him by the owner, the owner told him to keep his money and take the food. With the restaurant having to fight for paying patrons, this act of generosity showed me that for the owner of Sweet Joanna's, it's not always about profit, sometimes it's about people. When you are in the area, I recommend that you patronize this establishment, the food is good and fresh, and the staff and owner has heart that is rarely experienced these days.

I had a bagel here this morning and it was delicious. The staff is very friendly, and the other breakfast foods were being made fresh and looked delicious. Quite the charming little place. It made for a great start to the day! I’ll definitely be back to try the other items.

Extremely tidy place with some amazing options for coffee, breakfast and sandwiches. Loved the coffee! ordered Hot Mocha and it's relatively cheaper than a Starbucks coffee with a much better tasting flavor. Staff is super friendly and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMENEDED. *P.S - If you can pay with cash for your order that would help the business so it saves some extra bucks for them. I'm glad the pandemic didn't shuttered this business permanently.

The food is delicious! And the owner and staff are super nice. They make you feel cared for. Plus, the cafe is super cute. It’s a great place for breakfast, lunch or to simply have a tea/coffee.

Great breakfast and lunch spot. Most of the baked good are made in house. The two beautiful ladies behind the counter make each order as if they are feeding their family in their kitchen. Great portions. Fresh and tasty ingredients. They also cater!

Great all around. Great quality of ingredients and extremely friendly owners. Definitely try the glazed donut grilled cheese with egg and bacon (only other time I've found this sandwich was at a minor league baseball stadium so it's worth a try being so unique).

Honestly such a great find. The people working here are so sweet and actually seem happy to see you, which goes a long way. I grabbed a breakfast burrito and a tuna melt—everything looked and tasted super fresh!

Super nice start, wide selection of lunch options, as well as drinks and snacks. Staff suggested the chipotle chicken if spicy is okay, took their suggestion. Very filling sandwich, loaded with chicken and veggies. Actually had some spice to it. One of the better and reasonably priced lunch options around here

The breakfast burrito was fantastic. 🌯 fluffy egg inside with enough cheese to give it a satisfying fattiness. I like that they add fresh pico to it too, and a little bit of fresh red onions to give the whole burrito a nice bite to it.

I’m embarrassed to admit I’ve been here numerous times and it never occurred to me to leave a review. My team and I will visit Angie and her crew whenever we have a break in the morning. Great for a quick bite, not expensive, good options... the salad bar is an excellent option actually.

It always makes me smile when the store owner calls you "boss" when you wait in the line. The sandwich is great! It is always so crowed if you come at the lunch time. It might take you 10-15 minute to wait in line, but totally worthwhile. Try their checken sandwich, it is my favorite.

Staff were amazing. Owner and family members were obviously part of the staff. I almost gave five stars on that alone. Coffee is excellent. I wasn't enamored with the menu. There wasn't flexibility in offerings but the choices were plentiful. I'm not a fan of a lot of bread and the menu was carb heavy. I would visit again.

Definitely a good place for breakfast when you downtown and need a quick bite. Coffee was excellent and so was the sourdough toast. The eggs, bacon, and fruit are something you can get anywhere. They weren't awful just average. Cozy interior and the bathrooms are clean but inside the USF building next door. Overall, a positive experience.

I got the tuna salad sandwich on Dutch crunch. Although, such a standard sandwich choice, I give it 2/5 because I was deceived by their sandwich pricing: a sandwich costs $6.95 and $7.95 but with addition of cheese it's an extra $1. Not cool. Who asks for a sandwich with no cheese; does a burrito shop up-charge their customers a $1 for adding cheese. Cheese is a basic component of a sandwich as it is to a burrito.

I ordered Joanna’s special. It was just a little bit of scrambled eggs and super thin microwaved bacon for $15. I bet it cost them $1 to make it. They have also removed the included coffee that shows in all menu pictures. Too pricy and very, very basic food quality. Won’t be coming back.
