Vibes and food are awesome. For vegetarian, the tacos were so diverse. Love the cauliflower and the vegetarian fajita style one. Only note is that staff was so kindly attentive, but definitely felt the slightest bit trying to rush me out as an individual only at a 2 person table. Nonetheless, would highly recommend and come again

Instant favorite! Loved the nachos so much and the burritos were great. Personally loved the cheeseburger burrito the most. The staff is very friendly and the menu boasts a wide variety of options. Their drink options are extensive so no worries with that. The vibe was very laid back and sporty. The patio was awesome. Hope to come back soon!

I came here to try the fish tacos Nick's way and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. This place has one of the best red salsa's I have ever tried in my whole life experience on this planet. It's pretty Damm delicious. The taco has a crunchy shell and then an outer tortilla that ads 2 whole dimensions of flavorful to that grilled fish and with that salsa it felt like a Mexican beach party in my mouth. Amazing great fish tacos. Even more amazingly delicious salsa. 10 out of 10 recommend for seafood tacos.

Had to come to the city for an unfortunate health reason regarding my beautiful wife. Realizing I hadn't eaten for 24 hours (due to stress) I stumbled across this classy joint. Immediately upon walking in I was welcomed with open arms by the awesome staff and my bartender Josh was top notch. If you like good food, sports and a chill kick backed atmosphere then I would highly recommend this place. 👌

7/13/2021. Updated review. Beer and tacos here are still delicious! Original review: Patio dining 4/11/2021. I was really sad when their Irving St. location closed. We used to go there all the time for beers and tacos. They are a San Francisco Sunset district institution in my book. I'm really happy they are still in business. Tonight I had their shrimp, Baja style fish and grill fish tacos, Nick's way. That first bite, it brought back so many memories of dining with friends in the 2000's. Everything is fresh and the recipes did not change. The tacos and service remain excellent. Great job everyone at Underdogs! I rarely cross over to this side of inner Sunset, but I'll do it for Underdogs.

This place has an awesome vibe with great Mexican food and drinks. The quesadillas are seriously underrated — definitely give them a try. The only downside was that the waiter felt a bit pushy about bringing the check as closing time approached. Otherwise, a great spot.

The food here can be a bit expensive, but it’s really good. I got some tacos with carne asada, and it was so flavorful. I also had a side of beans and a side of rice, which was surprisingly filling despite its small portions (they are sides, after all). Our server was nice, and made sure to ask me about my preferences on the contents of my dish. I requested no onions in my tacos, which they met. The restaurant is conveniently close to the Golden Gate Park, where me and my party came from. Overall, there’s not much to complain about. 4/5.

Underdog Tres’ service is fantastic! Dropped by for a quick lunch! Food is really good but I think I’ve frequented too many establishments that are more cost effective. After taxes and tip, lunch came to about $60. A bit much for taco lunch. The servers are super friendly and the tacos nice and packed with good stuff (meat, pico de gallo, guac). The app of guac and veggies is a little uneven and we had a lot of veggie leftover so we had a weird leftover of veggies. And of course I had to have elote where cheese was all over my face! If you don’t mind paying more for tacos then I say it’s worth it. Stop by and have a meal to support them!

Wasn’t a big fan of their signature Nick tacos — weird double shell with outer one being crunchy but kind of hard and inedible; the taco itself is way too big, the beef was rough and not very flavorful and the pork needed more fat. Pico de gallo also tasted very mid. Overall, pretty disappointing although my friend’s California burrito bowl tasted much better (great fries).

Came in 9pm on Saturday night. The over-fried/slightly burnt guac chips + soggy grilled veggie burrito with mostly beans really was disgusting. When I told the wait staff, she gave a tiny, doggy bag of good chips. I still love them as our beloved neighborhood joint, but that was one of the worst meal I've had in San Francisco. hi and yes - this message goes out to the manager of this location on 9th. Today we experienced being served a cold dish after waiting right at about 30 minutes and it was only half of our order. The other meal finally arrived piping hot minutes later. When we stated that the first one was not worthy of eating cold, we were "told & scolded" that it had to be the sour cream and guacamole that was cold, but no, it was the whole quesadilla, the chicken and all. The waiter got all testy and full of attitude about returning it and taking it off the menu. POOR CUSTOMER service is all it was. HE was wearing a black head band with a snatchy inappropriate manner and I guess it was more about wrong opinion than the fact of cold food. This occurred at 1:15pm, Saturday Feb 28th on our receipt at table B13 and to cover his tracks he used a different servers name on our receipt called Daniela R. Thats just shady ! Wont be coming back or promoting this place at all !

They sell the most expensive taco in the entire world. This ONE taco was $12 all in (including tax and a forced "service charge"). It was the baja fish taco, nick's way. This mediocre taco was straight up highway robbery. Small piece of fish, mostly cabbage (raw/dry) and a raw dry and felt like old tortilla. Tasted bland as hell. Im so offended by this experience. Really shameful pricing and they should reconsider their position as a restaurant. Im sorry for you to eat here.
