So delicious. Had the pork sheng jian bao, chili oil wonton and Chinese broccoli. Pork sheng jian baos were amazing, the soup was delicious, and the crispy bottom was a nice touch to the soup dumpling, something i don't see often. Chili oil wonton were delicious as well. Service was timely and friendly. I would definitely come back here again. no wait on a Monday night right at opening time 5pm for dinner
This place deserves more recognition! The food was wonderful and very prompt! The waiter genuinely went out of his way to make us feel welcome. I would recommend the pork chili oil wontons and the pork and cabbage dumplings for sure!
Food is Excellent, reasonably priced for the area The green onion pancake and Xiao long bao are good as expected. Extensive menu which we were not able to fully experience without more people and we weren't hungry just looking for a light brunch, but the Pork Sheng Jian Bao definitely is a must-try and will be a standard item for every visit.
This is my new favorite dim sum in SF. Great service, the dishes come out quickly (no carts) and I can’t say enough about the food. So good. The shimp dumplings were distinctively better than any I’ve ever had.
No wait to sit down which is uncommon for dim sum in the area. Friendly and quick service despite being understaffed. They were out of quite a few items on the menu. The scallion oil noodles just tasted like soy sauce, I don't recommend those. I do recommend the bbq pork buns, string beans, and pork sheng jian bao. The last two are a must order!
The Dan Dan Noodles here are exceptional. I ordered both the Dan Dan Noodles and the chili oil wontons. The sauce for the Dan Dan Noodles is rich and flavorful, and the portion size is perfect—not too much, not too little. The noodles come with a generous amount of minced meat. The wontons are generously filled, with a noticeable amount of shrimp in each bite. They are not very spicy but still quite delicious. The service staff is very courteous, and the interior decor is clean and well-maintained. The food is not overly salty, making for a very enjoyable dining experience. The seating by the window offers a particularly pleasant atmosphere.
All the food came out hot and perfectly cooked. Everything was delicious and we couldn’t help but finish every last bite even though we were full.
This was a good experience from the moment we walked in the restaurant. The staff made us feel like old friends being hosted by extraordinary culinary experts. Loved every bite. In descending order of wonder for me: WOW: Dan Dan noodles 1. Chili Oil Wonton 2. Shrimps. Woodear. Chives dumpling 3. BBQ Pork buns 4. Pork Sheng Jian bao 5. Pork Xiao Long bao. For dessert, the Coconut Pudding. It was a mystical experience that brought me back to eating fresh tender coconut from Cayo Sombrero in Venezuela. My heart left full as well as my stomach.
The food was amazing. The portions were great for the price or to pick different things to share which I highly recommend. There is a variety of options for dumplings, buns, and side dishes. The hot and sour soup was the best I’ve had. The scallion oil noodles and spicy chicken dumplings were great!
I absolutely love this place. Their dumplings and noodles are top notch. The staff are very kind and attentive. Very affordable. Me and my girlfriend have been twice and it was great both times.
Get the shenjian bao. Green beans are pretty good, too. Better than Yank sing.
Everything about this place was really great! It’s such a nice modern clean space. The dumplings were all delicious and I think we had 5 kinds. The har gow were so full of fresh shrimp. My favorite were the ones that are crispy on the bottom half and soft steamy on the top. I’ll definitely be back.
Authentic Chinese food, absolutely delicious.
We really enjoyed the food here! We definitely over ordered but leftovers are always welcome. I would come back here with a bigger party even. The decor inside is really nice. A good change of pace.
This was the unexpected highlight of great trip. Vincent took great care of us all night with one fantastic recommendation after another. The chef surpassed expectations on every order.

Ordered pickup here and did not realize they were closing early that night until after we arrived. They were super nice about it! The food smelled so good that we ended up wolfing down most of it on the bench right outside the restaurant because we couldn’t wait. We ordered the pork XLB, dan dan noodles, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, chili oil wonton, and pan fried shrimp and chive dumplings. All of it was fantastic, but I think the shrimp and chive dumplings were my favorite. So good!

Tasty dumplings and excellent service. Solid menu of dumplings and related items. Delicious tea and mochi desserts too. I liked the nice touches like a chilled glass for my beer and informative conversation with the waiter. We went for a quick dinner after a visit to SFMoMA. The dumplings were not quite as good as Dumpling Home in Hayes Valley, but what is? Still, there was no wait and we were satisfied. It was a great option for downtown.
Pork & Cabbage Dumpling: The dish features purple-colored dumpling wrappers, which initially gave us pause. However, after trying one, we were pleasantly surprised. The dumpling wrapper has the perfect thickness, and the stuffing is flavorful, pairing well with the chili sauce. Dan Dan Noodle: Coming from a background of enjoying spicy Dan Dan noodles, I was quite surprised by the sweeter flavor profile at Village Tea House. It's a new and interesting taste that, despite the deviation from the norm, is quite enjoyable. Pork Sheng Jian Bao: This is the main attraction that brought us to Village Tea House, recommended by a friend. The Sheng Jian Bao did not disappoint. However, do note that it takes some time to prepare, so expect a 15-20 minute wait. The wrapper has a delightful soft texture with a golden, crispy base. The filling is flavorful and moist, but be cautious as the soup inside the bao is piping hot – make sure it cools down sufficiently before taking a bite.

Highly recommend Xiao Long Bao 小籠包. Personally think Scallion Noodles is Ok. Definitely will visit again for Xiao Long Bao

From spicy Dan Dan Noodles to dim sum offerings, you can sit in casual airy space enjoying good food. Financial District has several restaurants that offer similar cuisine, but this humble gem should not be missed.
Came here with some co-workers for lunch. The restaurant was crowded. Fortunately, we had made a reservation in advance so we were seated almost immediately. Half of us ordered the Dan Dan Noodles while the other half ordered the beef noodle soup. My Dan Dan Noodles were decent, but the numb-inducing spice that normally accompanies Dan Dan Noodles was missing. So too was the nutty flavor. I was a bit disappointed. My co-workers seemed to enjoy the beef noodle soup so maybe that's the better dish to order. Service was friendly, but the food took a long time to be served. Also, the Dan Dan Noodles came out about 10 minutes before the beef noodle soup so half of us sat there waiting as our food got cold. The restaurant is extremely noisy so it's difficult to have a conversation. I won't be back.
Never will eat here again, ordered 10-15mins early for pick up got there 20+ mins later and food wasn't ready, server went to the back to check on my food in the kitchen, he went back out to check behind podium and had three receipt and took it back to the kitchen ( hmmm I wonder who's orders are those). I was fairly ticked off but I waited did not give them any issues cuz did not want them to do anything to my food. Got my food and went back to work site to eat........ Tell me why halfway eating my food I see a larva thats turned into a cocoon with white substance all around it........ lost my appetite. No more I waited to just lose my appetite and felt gross the rest of the day
