This place is fantastic! One of the best deep dishes / Detroit pizza I’ve had. The cheese is so good. The beet salad was good just felt like they were canned beets not fresh.
Highly highly recommend this pizza joint for your next dinner out. We found Pie Punks on google and were drawn to it because of its very good reviews. The decor and ambience of this place is unmatched, it’s got a great vibe as soon as you walk in. The staff and friendly and they have a great selection of drinks and food. We ordered a Detroit pizza and salad to share, both of which were delicious, fresh and presented well. Service was also very quick. Cannot recommend this restaurant more to someone who wants fast service and tasty food.
Had a great experience at Pie Punks! The tomato pie was delicious. Loved the atmosphere and music, totally fit the vibe. The crispy broccolini was amazing!
Came for dinner and ordered had the Grandma with a side cheese curds - very good. They offer a deep dish, medium crust and a thin crust. Would have loved to try the thin crust pizza but the Grandma was more than enough for two. I was also happy that they had a variety of beers and had Miller Lite available.
5 stars, truly! Great friendly service from Karina and Jo: A+ and attentive with smiles. Add in the positive vibes and the look and feel of the place and you already have a winner. By the time the food comes you already feel like you won, but then the pizza way over-delivers and turns out to be some of the best pizza in the city. It was excellent! Cooked perfectly with a crisp edge, fresh ingredients, and you know they use a high quality cheese by the taste. We ordered a second pizza and the lasagna to try and they were spectacular, as well. This place is great! They had a great selection of drinks, and again, are just so friendly and down to earth. Thanks again to Karina for being so wonderful! We will be back and have been sharing how good your food is with others. Definitely worth going out of the way for. A+ Detroit style Pizza in a great spot with an even better staff... Try it!
OMG – this pizza spot is incredible! The vibe is on point, and the 90s hip hop soundtrack is everything. We tried the crispy broccolini, Detroit pepperoni, and thin crust pepperoni – all amazing. The Detroit-style pie had those crispy edges and was packed with flavor, and the broccolini made the perfect side. I’d order that Detroit again in a heartbeat! We’re in town for a conference and seriously wish we had found this place sooner—we would’ve come back for round two. Do yourself a favor and support this local gem. You won’t regret it! #supportlocal
We had the Waikiki Sneaky Detroit-style pizza, which was delicious with a nice spicy kick, while others in our group ordered the Fredo and Vodka Martini pizzas — both were a hit. Drinks were just as good, especially the Zombie Punk and Rita Hayworth cocktails. Fun vibe, good tunes, and tasty food all around — definitely worth a visit!
Pie Punks – A Hidden Gem Worth Discovering When I first pulled up, the neighborhood seemed quiet and unremarkable for a Saturday night. I almost reconsidered, but decided to go in anyway – and boy, was that the right call! The pizza here is fantastic – crispy, flavorful, and available in every style imaginable. Thin crust, square-cut, deep-dish? Take a slice or go all in. Your call. But the real star? The vibe. Retro TVs streaming fresh content (Apple TV, I’m guessing? I need this setup at home!), vinyl spinning Notorious B.I.G., pizza in hand, and Top Gun playing in the background? Sign me up. I usually keep spots like this to myself, but Pie Punks is too good not to share. - Pizza: Killer, no matter your preference - Price: More than fair – I’d pay extra just for the atmosphere - Vibe: 10/10 – a perfect mix of nostalgia and cool Don’t sleep on this place. Just go.

Chema rocks! Best bartender in the area for sure. He steered me with encouragement to order a 50/50 pie with half onion and half meat. Dude it was delicious. I had to pause but made it through the whole thing. Best end to a great day. Interesting interior and great staff. Pie punks doesn’t disappoint. Just grab your friends and go. Seriously good pizza and Chema had me laughing.100% recommend

Excellent Detroit-style pizza! I’m in town for a conference and was in a hurry so I ordered via DoorDash for pickup. It was ready at the scheduled time and they let me eat it at the bar and gave me water and napkins. I later went to Joyride for dinner and definitely preferred Pie Punks!

Where to start with this place. Besides best chicken fingers and chimichurri sauce I had in awhile, this place have amazing people that care about service and people. I've spent many nights there with my coworkers and friends. Special thanks to Esteban, Chema, Carina, Travis, and Johan. Cutest part was the fact that the owner of the business approached me as well which was an incredible gesture 👏🏻. I managed a small family business for almost 6 years and I know how important is to support local businesses, and this one is very special to me. Thank you all! Dušan
Hands down my top 3 favorite pizzas I’ve ever had! So good that I went in two nights in a row after loving it so much the first time. The people working are all super chill and are very welcoming/kind/respectful. I highly recommend to anyone looking for GREAT PIZZA!
Great music and an 80s theme setting. It was very chill. The Detroit pizza was pretty good. It was a lighter deep dish and was a smaller portion than some of the bigger pies, but was still enough to feed both of us. It had good flavor with the spicy sauce, cheese and pepperoni. The prices were fair for the area. The servers were attentive and food came out quickly and hot. There's a good selection of beer and hard drinks. The ghost town beer was pretty good.
Honestly, I was incredibly impressed by the pizza but also the array of (island themed??) cocktails. Our group shared a couple of pies that were both delicious. The Waikiki sneaky particularly did a great job balance spicy and sweet flavors while still tasty like pizza. The Jalisco punk was the standout amongst the drinks, but u left wanting to try a bunch more. Recommend getting there early (before 7pm) on a weeknight as the line was out the door when we left.

Came here with a group of 6 and was seated immediately! Good: - Pizza was delicious, I liked the sausage grandma the best - the pizza tasted healthier than other pizzas I’ve had, not too oily - Great portion sizes! We had so much pizza leftover and it was good value Bad: - The place was a bit dim - Detroit pizza was smaller for the price Overall this was so much fun and loved the pizza it was quite tasty
Convenient location for a pizza bite after happy hour. They have a variety of pies. My favorite was their normal grandma slice - the classic. Love the tomato and basil combo. The bottom was very crispy and crunchy. I’ve tried their vodka martini and I wasn’t a a big fan of the olives because it was too salty and overpowering. Overall, love the joint. It was very classic pizza bar vibes but not too rowdy.
This seems to be a bar turned pizza joint/bar. Atmosphere is great if you want a casual, somewhat noisy vibe. Quiet and romantic it is not. Fun it is. There are several TV's playing quirky movies, and music playing too. Pizzas are interesting. I come from east coast where thin crust is the norm. Pie Punks has 3 crust options: thin, Grandma - yes Grandma, and Detroit. Think thin, medium, thick. I tried the thin and Grandma. I really enjoyed the Grandma. They do not skimp on the toppings - both pizzas were loaded. I also tried the fried cheese curds, which i highly recommend. They were not belly bombs, but very light for fried cheese. The pizzas have unique combinations - like the greens, honey and prosciutto. Staff was chill and friendly. I don't think it is great for families. There is outdoor seating. I definitely recommend this place for good pizza.
I was looking to try a new pizza spot in the city, and Pie Punks was close to my hotel—so we decided to give it a shot, and I’m glad we did. The atmosphere has a fun mix of pop culture and vintage vibes, which I really enjoyed. The energy inside the restaurant was great. We sat at the bar top and were helped right away. To start, we ordered some cheese curds, and then shared two different slices of pizza to try a bit of everything. The cheese curds were amazing—honestly, they were my favorite part of the meal. The pizza was okay—not bad, but nothing too special. I’d definitely come back, especially since it’s close to where I usually stay when I’m in the city. The vibes are on point, and it's a cool spot to hang out and grab a bite.
We came here for dinner after a conference at the Moscone center. It’s less than a 10 min walk. The indoor seating was full so we ate outside. I ordered the Detroit style chopped cheese pizza and my friend ordered the round pepperoni. The chopped cheese was delicious. It was melt cheese, ground beef, ketchup, lettuce, pickle and tomato and was so good. The crust was thick but light and fluffy. I really liked it. I tried the pepperoni too and enjoyed it, but not as much as the Detroit style. The service was friendly though they never refilled our waters. I’d definitely come back. Very good pizza.
Stumbled upon this place when trying to find a place to eat somewhat near the Financial district. We got half tomato and half garlic round pizza and both were delicious! Crust was perfect thickness and the two kinds of pizza that we ordered balanced each other really well. Really loved how the garlic pizza had actual pieces of garlic on top ;) Vibes inside were great as well!
Pie Punks – A Fun Spot with Delicious Vibes I recently checked out Pie Punks, and while it was a great experience overall, there are a few areas where they could level up. Food Highlights: • The pizza was tasty, with a perfectly crisp crust and fresh toppings. However, I found myself wishing for a bit more sauce to really bring out the flavors. • The appetizers were the real stars of the menu! With a crazy selection of unique and flavorful options, it was hard to choose just a few. Everything we tried was top-notch. • The drinks menu was equally impressive, offering a wide variety of creative and fun beverages to pair with the meal. Room for Improvement: • I was a little disappointed that there were no dessert options. Adding a few sweet treats would make the dining experience feel complete. Atmosphere and Vibe: The vibe at Pie Punks was absolutely fantastic! The decor, music, and energy of the space created a lively and inviting atmosphere. It’s definitely a great place to hang out with friends or family. Overall: Pie Punks is a solid spot for delicious pizza, standout appetizers, and fun drinks. With a little extra sauce on the pizza and some desserts on the menu, it could be perfect. Still, it’s well worth a visit for the food and the awesome vibes!
Pretty good. Got the grandma regular and one w/ pepperoni. Pep was excellent. Slices are goodly sized but might bring a friend and split a whole pie next time cause will be fresh and hot. Good beers, basic ceaser. Will be back.

Great, kinda dive-y spot to stop in for a beer/cocktail and a bite (exactly what my spouse and I like). The cocktails are great, they've got a pretty good beer selection (aka not all IPA), and the Grandma slices other than the classic are quite tasty. We started with a Caesar salad - loved this, right balance of dressing and lettuce and the anchovies brought it all together really well. For pizza my partner got the pepperoni which was really good (little spicy, lotsa flavor, good pepperoni) and I got the classic. It reminded me of grade school pizza - really sweet, a little bready, and you know there's cheese but it's kinda flavorless. The nostalgia hit ok for me but I would pick a different slice next time I go back.
