Reserved through open table for 8:30, I called about the reservation and they told me their kitchen closes at 8. The manager acknowledged our reservation and told us they’ll still serve us. Confused since it says they close at 10. Really calm environment, the food was phenomenal, and it came out quick. Our server seemed unamused to serve us, maybe they made him stay longer, but at times he was good. Pastel de elote is a must, and the cauliflower. Drinks are delicious. Will definitely come back!

If you had to dine at one farm to table restaurant, I would recommend Tamarindos. Not only is the food delicious, but the food is more authentic to the region. Although there isnt much property open to walk around, it is a beautiful farm with a calming vibe. We had a 6pm reservation, came early to enjoy a drink and were able to be seated early. Our server Alejandro was super funny and all the other waiters/waitress were kind and accomodating. The tamarind margarita was good, but we couldnt taste much of the tamarind flavor. We started with the cauliflower, which we had to add a little of salt for the inside parts, but ourside was charred perfectly. The salsa was incredible and the warm/cold dynamic was delicious. We also got the suckling pig and lamb. The pig was gas, and the skin made the perfect taco. The lamb was so tender and the salsas were delicious. We were celebrating a birthday, which came with the mango pie dessert, which was very thick but the crust was good and the mangos came from the farm itself. There are a lot of mosquitos, but they provide bug spray. Overall, the best dining experience we had in the area.

Four friends and I attended a cooking class at Tamarindos this week. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly and given a tour of the farm. After, we were lead to an open air room with a large table where chef Diego was waiting for us. Chef was charming and made our experience a lot of fun. He helped us prepare a delicious, traditional, Mexican meal using fresh produce from the farm. It was a very special experience and We would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone who is looking learn about traditional cooking techniques in a beautiful rural setting.

I had the pleasure of dining at Tamarindos several times during my recent trip to Cabo, and I can wholeheartedly say it's a truly one-of-a-kind experience. More than just a restaurant, Tamarindos is a destination. Located about five minutes from downtown San José del Cabo and nestled on 13 acres of lush farmland, Tamarindos offers an organic farm-to-table restaurant, an on-site café brewing its own signature coffee (I highly recommend picking up a bag in the gift shop), an event space, and a soon-to-open resort. Beyond dining, guests can book farm tours, cooking classes, and outdoor events—perfect for weddings, gatherings, and special celebrations. Chef Enrique Silva has beautifully brought his vision to life, combining his passion for Mexican cuisine and agricultural innovation in a way that feels both refined and deeply rooted in the land. This place truly has it all, and it’s an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable and off the beaten path (literally) experience in Cabo.

Hands down THE BEST farm to table restaurant in Baja !!! Memorable ! ✨ It’s been 3 years in a row that we come to this restaurant and each meal here has been an extraordinary culinary experience !! But it’s unpretentious and elegant - and authentic ! If it’s fish it’s the freshest fish 🎣 caught that day ! If it’s the giant prawns 🍤 it’s prawns you can’t easily forget ! Either cooked with Mezcal or simply grilled to perfection on a bed of rosemary ! If it’s the suckling pig 🐖 it’s the greatest suckling pig ever ! Even the salads are out of this world 🌎 because they are from a garden 🪴 planted with love before your eyes in a Sacred Geometry formation .. everything about this restaurant is exquisite and made with love and intention an authenticity ! The owner can always be seen there eating and greeting guests and making sure the quality is always consistent … there aren’t stars enough to rate this experience !! And after dinner 🥘 or before you can stroll around the farm and get to know the place your meal 🍽️ is coming from ! All this under a gorgeous view of the Milky Way - also quality for money ! Best option of them all !

My wife and I did a cooking class with Erwin, and luckily we ended up being the only booking at that time so it was a private class. We learned how to make tamales, salsa macha, shrimp flambé and churros. It was an amazing experience and Erwin was an amazing host and teacher. The experience was authentic, personal, and most of all enjoyable. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a more authentic Mexican experience!

We had an absolutely fabulous time. Tamarindos is a beautiful, peaceful place full of history. Our time with Erwin was exceptional! If you are interested in cooking classes while in Cabo, I highly recommend booking at Tamarindos. Having taken other cooking classes over the years in Cabo, it was great to be able to choose what we wanted to learn to make from appetizer to main dish to tortillas and dessert. We were involved in th chopping and cooking and loved eating what we made! Erwin is so patient and full of knowledge, which he shares well. Authentic Mexican cooking skills are now ours and we look forward to sharing with family and friends. Don't let the dirt road scare you, it's all part of the experience!!! I recommended Tamarindos to people we met in the pool a few days after our class. They will be booking with you on their next years trip to Cabo!

Tamarindos is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you arrive, the setting feels magical! Nestled in a lush farm with mountain and ocean views, the atmosphere is peaceful, open-air, and full of charm. The farm-to-table concept is executed perfectly. Every dish we tried was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. What really stood out was meeting the owner, Enrique. His vision for what this place is becoming is absolutely beautiful… you can feel the passion in every corner of the property. I brought my mom here, who’s a chef, a total health nut, and deeply into natural medicine AND she was genuinely impressed (which is not easy to do). Watching her light up during the experience made it even more special. The cocktails were creative and well-balanced, and the service was top-notch… warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. We also loved walking around the garden before our meal … such a unique and grounding experience. We didn’t get to come during sunset, but I have heard that it’s unforgettable. Whether you're celebrating something special or just want an incredible meal in Cabo, Tamarindos is a must.

A few years ago I had a great dinner here as part of a large wedding party. The food and service was excellent. Totally farm to table and fresh!!! Today a friend and myslef did a cooking class with chef Erwin and omg it was amazing!!!! Erwin is a master chef and we prepared a meal together of sea bass, shrimp, fresh tortillas and mango mousse that was one of the best meals I ever had. The whole experience was 4 really interesting hours that included making fresh sauces, fresh green salsa, fresh tortillas and some kind of shrimp appetizer that was out of this world!! On top of this we enjoyed fresh drinks with farm ingredients and fresh coffee roasted right there. The setting was beautiful in a stone brick farmhouse overlooking the property/ farm that was set high up with a great beeezs so not too hot. All in All an amazing experience and I recommend to all for solos, groups, couples etc… With Chef Erwin’s charm, skill and delicious food you will learn a lot and have an experience and meal of your life!!! His team that helps too we’re all so ni w and attentive too….Chef Erwin, his team, the kitchens, the propert and of course the food will all make for an incredible Cabo / Life experience that will exceed any expectations you have. Go and enjoy ASAP!!!!

Tamarindo cooking class was an experience. Really nice farm to table restaurant. Started the experience with Alejandro making is a nice tequila drink and sharing the history of the farm. Then the head engineer showed us around the farm. Cooking class was great, we made a 4 course meal. Diego was patient, fun and very knowledgeable. We had a blast! Service was great. Much appreciated you guys!!

There is not enough amazing things to say about Erwin our Chef and Tamarindos! The location is beautiful and we learned so much on our tour about the land, the vegetables, and how the food was historically cooked. We went here for our Girls Trip, and we were so full and relaxed by the time we left! The drinks were also amazing but truly Erwin made the experience a memorable one for us. When we booked we didn’t know this location is the only Mexican owned Cooking Class, Farm to Table style in the area. We are sooo glad we booked the experience, learned the history about the food and be able to spend some time in such a relaxing space. Would definitely come back again!

Exquisite evening at Tamarindos. We took a cooking class with Chef Erwin. It was amazing. Absolutely lovely atmosphere and wonderful food.

Not just a restaurant, an experience! My husband and I had an unforgettable visit to Tamarindos. Starting with an adventurous drive down a narrow dirt road and ending with us meandering around the farm after lunch, our entire visit was an absolute pleasure. The atmosphere and energy throughout the farm property is peaceful and welcoming. We experienced excellent food and bev fresh from the farm, impeccable service, and freshly roasted coffee. We bought coffee beans to take home for ourselves and as gifts. We will fondly remember our visit here long after we return home.

Took an excellent cooking class here. The team was so warm and welcoming. The grounds were beautiful, the tour was lovely, and I feel grateful we got to learn about Mexican culture and the food we were making. The cooking class itself was well structured and the food was delicious!! Including the best churros I’ve ever had. Chef Erwin was an excellent teacher, he made the experience extraordinary. Would recommend to anyone visiting Cabo!

Their food is amazing! Only thing is it took a long time to get it but once we did, we were very happy with the presentations and flavors! We had the succulent pig, shrimp Cesar salad and pesto fettuccini with shrimp. Also had the grilled octopus appetizer. Everything was delicious! The grounds are well kept, very clean place, rustic atmosphere. Loved this place and definitely will return. Highly recommend!

A fine dining restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. I came here for Christmas dinner, and it was very spacious, but also cozy with beautiful lighting and natural plants all over the restaurant. The food was good, and the service was good, though the service wasn't like "exceptional". All the decorative lights around the farm was pretty to walk around after the meal, and took a lot of photos for memories. I think it would be a whole another experience if I come during the day, so you can enjoy the farms & all the plants they grow. Strongly recommended for a small group & couples!

Wow, what a beautiful place this is! I can't say enough about how great our experience was. We had the rehearsal dinner for our son's wedding here and everything was absolutely perfect! Mariana worked with me to make sure every little detail was just right. The food was incredible and the service was fabulous. Thank you for helping to make this night unforgettable!

The original farm to table restaurant in las animas did not disappoint. Loved the authentic, unpretentious atmosphere - so many lovely spaces around the property. Service was top notch and food came out quickly and was tasty. Nice to have robust vegetarian options. Well worth the visit! Recommend!

Absolutely beautiful estate! I went here for a cooking class with two of my very good friends. The location is a little bit difficult to find, and well worth it! The scenery is beautiful, the dining room is gorgeous, and the staff are wonderful. We had a blast at the cooking class. We made tamales with green pork mole, fresh tortillas, and sea bass ceviche. All delicious!

We took the recommendation of some of the folks staying at our resort to try Tamarindo's and we were glad we did. This was a fantastic farm to table restaurant located on the outskirts of San Jose del Cabo and on the site of a 19th century sugar plantation. The Uber ride out to the restaurant/farm was interesting to say the least. The restaurant is located in a rural area near the estuary and it appears that recent rains made the road barely passable. Our driver did a great job getting us there. The grounds of the farm were beautiful. We arrived about 30 minutes before our reservation so we had the oppy to walk around and explore the farm. Raised terraces had beds of herbs and spices that are used in the restaurant. Vintage farm equipment dotted the landscape. Once we were seated our server Natali took our drink order and gave us our menus. Natali was friendly and professional and spoke excellent English. We decided to share a Greek salad as an appetizer. It had plenty of feta cheese and you could actually tell the ingredients were farm fresh, everything was delicious with just the right amount of dressing and Greek seasonings. For our main courses Stacy ordered the mezcal fired blue shrimp. These shrimp were enormous (Stacy had to bring two of them home) and were covered with a delicious mezcal citrus sauce. The shrimp were accompanied by black beans and fried sweet plantains. Coming from South Florida we are somewhat spoiled when it comes to sweet plantains (it's a Cuban thing), but Stacy remarked these were the best sweet plantains she has had since we moved to Mexico two years ago. I ordered the lamb, which was served barbacoa style. The lamb was a huge serving which was tender and juicy. It was served with pureed sweet potatoes and grilled vegetables. The dish came with two dipping sauces, a habanero sauce and a macha sauce. Both were very spicy, but delicious. The lamb was accompanied by plenty of fresh, homemade, corn tortillas. This was a fabulous dish. We were pretty full but we wanted to at least try a dessert. We decided to split the flan and it didn't disappoint. It had a lot of vanilla with a very creamy texture. Delicious! We try to get to Cabo 2-3 times a year and from now on we will definitely be dining at Tamarindo's on our future visits. The atmosphere, service, and food were all excellent.

We have friends who have been saying we should try Los Tamarindos for several years. Today we arrived for a late lunch and tried their Tiradito of the Day, a Peruvian raw fish dish on cucumber spaghetti, avocado and sesame seeds. We also ordered the Catch of the Day Guajillo, fresh catch fish grilled on hummus with guajillo and fried leaves. Both tasted great. We also shared a slice of mango pie, which was incredible. The farm to table cooking with everything grown on site and fresh fish were worth the bumpy and dusty ride. Definitely give Los Tamarindo Mexican Farm to Table restaurant a try the next time you are in Cabo!

Such a great way to experience San Jose Del Cabo. After a crazy ride through the arroyo we were thrilled to find this beautiful oasis of orchards and gardens. Fresh ingredients started with the cocktails that featured in season fruits and herbs. Dinner was an assortment of fresh fish and vegetables grown on the property. Services was excellent! Atmosphere was comfortable even outdoors in the July heat. Dress was evening cool casual.

Excellent local restaurant. Been here multiple times on vacation from the US and the food and service is excellent. No issues. They use Fresh herbs from the gardens to make their signature dishes and cocktails. Did a private cooking lesson here with my husband for our honeymoon in 2022. Can’t say enough nice things about this spot. Only issue is the road to get to the restaurant is very rural and can get super bumpy. Other than that totally awesome.

Amazing farm to table and authentic Mexican cuisine experience. We made green salsa, Spanish rice, corn pudding and tamales. The chef was very good and allowed us to be hands on in the prep of the food. Highly recommend!!!

We visited Tamarindos for a cooking class with our head chef Erwin. The experience was absolutely amazing from start to finish. We had a tour of the grounds where we learned about the history and evolution of Tamarindos. We also got to try fresh Tamarind straight from the tree. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and they take well-earned pride in their self-sustaining practices with their freshly grown produce and locally sourced goods. Erwin made sure we had fun and learned a lot throughout the process. We had drinks and learned tricks of the trade from our head chef. The food was easily the best meal of our entire trip. We had a menu of traditional Mexican cuisine that was so flavorful and delicious. We made corn tortillas, chicken tinga, cochinita pibil, and churros! At the end of the class, we were given their cookbook so we can take what we learned back to our kitchen at home. We have done other cooking classes in the area and this class and the food were unmatched. I would come back in a heartbeat for another class or even just a lovely dinner and we will definitely be making these delicious meals at home!

My wife and I did a cooking class here. We got a tour of the farm which was very beautiful. The staff were great and very friendly. We made tortillas, tamales, and churros with the cook and opened a nice bottle of wine while we were. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for something fun to do one evening.

My husband and I had the pleasure of taking a cooking class at Tamarindos with Chef Erwin this past week. Upon arrival to the property we were pleasantly greeted with a refreshing welcome drink of lemon grass tea. Once our entire party arrived, Chef Erwin took a few moments to share the history of the property and story of the inception of Tamarindos. We were then lead through the breathtaking grounds to tour the organic garden and thatch roofed pergolas, which were nestled between mango, avocado and plantain trees. If I could describe the experience in one word it would be MAGIC. The opportunity to immerse ourselves in Mexican culture all the while learning and eating with such a talented Chef as Erwin, was an unparalleled experience. Erwin and the Tamarindos staff, including the owner, treated us like family and showered us with the warmest hospitality. As for the food we cooked beef biria, tortillas, sopes, ceviche, avocado salsa, adobo sauce and churros (all from scratch of course) providing incredible value for the cost. Everything was fantastic and we were promptly emailed copies of the recipes that same night. Chef Erwin, thank you so much for the most incredible experience. You made us feel like family and created a day we will never forget. Thank you so much and we look forward to our return!!

This was a wonderful and fun experience. The food was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Our drinks were made to our tastes and the dishes were thoughtfully created. We watched the sunset from the roof too, walked the garden, and just had a lovely last even in BCS at Tamarindos. Oh it’s a special occasion restaurant, not an everyday $$$$.

A must see! The place itself is so beautiful - you’re dining at a lovely place right inside/next to farm area, decoration and vibes are on point and the people are very nice. The food itself is super fresh (they incorporate a lot of the food right from their farm/garden). Would recommend the caprice salad (the freshest tomatoes! And basil pesto was amazing) and the pasta. The veggies in the pasta were so good and the shrimp version as well is perfectly seasoned and cooked. The fish tacos were solid but the pasta was definitely the highlight.

We had lunch at this beautiful place outside San Jose del Cabo. Very tasty meals and friendly service. W Most of all we enjoyed taking a walk in their garden, seeing all the vegetables and fruit they grow and use in the kitchen. The sunset from the rooftop was overwhelming.

Amazing cooking class. In depth information how to and hands on. Would do again. Erwin was a great teacher and we were able to enjoy the food in the wonderful environment. Have taken the Flora Farms class and this was far more involved and fun. Many courses made for a very complete experience.

We recommend the restaurant 5:5 - a bit tough to get to but worth it. Farm to table, seasonal, locally grown, fresh, amazing! We had our wedding there so these are my sentiments on that. From start to finish, the team went truly above and beyond. Mariana, our day-of planner, was exceptional— calm & proactive. She anticipated needs before they arose and ensured the entire day flowed seamlessly. Ernesto, the property manager, was equally incredible. He guided us through the wine selections with care and expertise and was hands-on throughout the reception—circulating among guests, refilling glasses, and making sure everyone felt taken care of (perhaps a little too well, in the best way). The execution of the wedding was flawless. Everything we envisioned and described was brought to life exactly as we had hoped—if not better. Dinner was a dream: a long, elegant table set beneath the passion fruit vines, surrounded by the sounds and scents of the farm and garden. The reception under the stars felt intimate and enchanting. Mariana recommended soft lighting along the path to the restrooms so guests could move safely and comfortably—a small detail that speaks volumes about the level of care. She even set them up for us as we brought some beautiful Luminary bags from the states - guests loved this touch. Our guests could not stop praising the venue’s natural beauty. The smells of the garden, the warmth of the farm, and the effortless elegance of the setting made the evening unforgettable. Dancing all night in the banana grove is a memory we will carry with us forever. The vibe was natural and authentic, unlike some other venues that seem commercial - so this fit us perfectly. We are endlessly grateful to the Tamarindos team for creating such a meaningful, stunning, and joy-filled experience. This venue is truly special, and we cannot thank them enough.

Tamarindos Cooking Class: If you're looking for a truly special experience in San José del Cabo, the cooking class at Tamarindos is a must. From the moment we arrived (after a bit of an adventurous drive—more on that later), it felt like we’d stepped into a movie set. The farm is absolutely stunning, with twinkling lights, and views that go on forever. Chef Diego was so nice, incredibly knowledgeable, yet so humble. He guided us through every step of the meal prep, gave us choices along the way and the food we made was amazing. Even my picky 10-year-old was all in. I think being part of the cooking process made a huge difference. Alejandro, our host, made sure everyone was having fun and was relaxed. It wasn’t just a class—it was a full-on experience. Now, about that drive… Tamarindos is perched on top of a mountain, and the road up is not for the faint of heart. Dirt roads + recent rains = a little nerve-wracking. At one point, we had to turn around and find another route because the river was rushing too hard for our car to cross. So here’s a tip: make sure your vehicle is an SUV—whether it’s a rental or an Uber. Trust me, you’ll be glad you did. All in all, this was one of the most memorable nights of our trip. Gorgeous setting, amazing food, and a truly immersive experience. Highly recommend if you're up for a little adventure and a lot of flavor!

Los Tamarindos is our favorite place to eat in Cabo. No matter where we are staying, we always make a point to have dinner here it never disappoints. The food is consistently incredible, the ambiance and service is spectacular. It’s worth the trip even if you’re staying closer to San Lucas. Try to get there before sunset so you can see the gorgeous grounds and explore.

We took a cooking class at Los Tamarindos Farm to Table in November 2025 and had a most inspirational experience with Mexican food. My wife and I grew up enjoying great family food in Scotland where we also started our family. We now live in California, love Mexican food, but know very little about the produce and how to use it. We have done a few cooking classes, but do not think of ourselves as foodies and certainly have no chef career in mind! We simply love learning about what food we can eat and how to get the best out of produce. My wife is allergic to shellfish, and I am allergic to gluten (celiac). We have come to San Jose del Cabo a few times (love the place) and lucked into (google search) booking a cooking class at Los Tamarindos. Best of all our Mexican experiences! The place is breathtakingly comfortable and exciting, via dirt roads in the hill country outside the city, with gracious hosts. Hector met us and helped orient us after an anxious Uber drive and gave us delicious homemade lemon grass water. Our chef, Erwin Guendulain, spent the next 3 hours sharing the local ingredients and his knowledge. We made our dishes, chosen in advance, and learned how to prep tortilla soup, sea bass with guajillo marinade, and caramel flan. Simple? Yes and no! We could never have known how this was done! Erwin is so good, the real deal! And we have his complete recipes to try at home. We then ate the delicious dinner we had cooked. Along with water, my wife had a jamaica margarita and I had a tamarindo mezcalito. We did not make these drinks, but we certainly enjoyed them. So many examples of the beautiful colors of Mexican products. I also had a Mexican white wine. We are still new to Mexican wines, and it’s great that they specialize in the bounty of Mexico in all aspects. We have no reservations in recommending Los Tamarindos Farm to Table. They will see us again. My wife sensibly suggested we take a taxi back to town; that was a less stressful experience, and no more expensive than Uber.

We had a wonderful cooking class experience today! Second time for a cooking class. Food was amazing, so fun to cook the new recipes and the chef was great! We have also just had dinner and it is always amazing. Atmosphere is beautiful. Can’t wait to go back!

I recently took a cooking class at Los Tamarindos Farm to Table with my son, and it was such a special experience. From the moment we arrived, everything felt thoughtful, intentional, and welcoming. The farm itself is beautiful and grounding, and the class was the perfect mix of hands-on learning, storytelling, and fun. The chefs were knowledgeable, patient, and made the experience engaging for all skill levels. We learned so much about the ingredients, the process, and the philosophy behind farm-to-table cooking, without it ever feeling stuffy or rushed. What really stood out was how meaningful the experience felt. Cooking together, learning together, and then sitting down to enjoy what we made was something my son and I will genuinely remember for a long time. If you’re looking for more than just a meal, something immersive, educational, and heart-centered, this is absolutely worth doing. Highly recommend for families, couples, or anyone who loves food and experiences that feel intentional and authentic.

We did a cooking class and it was a fantastic experience. Chef Erwin was absolutely lovely, knowledgeable and shared so much knowledge. We made shrimp flambé, pork tamales, 2 salsas and flan. Recipes were emailed and will definitely be used! Beautiful property, lovely staff and such a homely, friendly, natural atmosphere. Having done a class at Flora Farms (which we loved) we preferred this for being more down to earth, less polished and we would highly recommend if you are trying to decide between the two!

This was a fabulous dining experience. I was enchanted by the beauty of the restaurant. It is airy and lit very prettily. We started in the comfortable bar area and the Mescalita I had there was fantastic. I never had another one close to that good while in Mexico. The service was very attentive and personable. The food was superb. The prices are above average for the region but so was everything else about the restaurant. I highly recommend it for a special meal.

Don’t let the drive here scare you! Yea the roads is gravel and feels like you are driving to no where, But trust me it’s worth it. Once you get to the restaurant you will be amazed at how beautiful this place is. The layout and ambiance is breath taking. It’s farm to table concept and the restaurant is on a farm. You can walk around and check the gorgeous venue. Bar is set outside and you can sit here and enjoy a variety of cocktails. Staff are amazing and super helpful from the minute you walk in. Every single person has a smile and eagerness to assist. They cater for nut allergies which is always a win for us. Inside the restaurant is gorgeous the layout and decor gives you a magical vibe. Omg now let’s talk food! Lamb came with blue tortillas which was juicy and flavorful, catch of the day, fish was on a bed of hummus, never had this combo before and it did not disappoint. Appetizer we had blue fin sashimi with spicy tortilla this was bomb!!! It was on a bed of salad with ponzu sauce 🤤 nothing here disappointed. We were too full for dessert but the options a sounded delicious. We will be back for sure for great service and yummy food.

Amazing ambiance. Rooftop area you can see city light from. Excellent tamarindo salad which was fresh, flavorful mixed greens with a sweetish balsamic vinaigrette. Perfect. Only complaint was that the baked sea bass was served about 20 minutes after everything else.

Love the atmosphere! The trip out there is a bit of an adventure, which for us added to the experience. Had drinks on the patio and roof, wine with dinner and the food met expectations. Had shrimp, lamb and sea bass, which plate was delicious!! Wait staff was friendly, timely and engaging, we were there early so not many tables, when it picked up service did not suffer. Only negative the bar does have a limited selection. We recommend get there early and watch the sunset,AWESOME

Very pretty property and food presentation was great, but unfortunately the taste was lacking a bit. Margs were great and staff was super friendly. Started with: -Crab cakes: just alright -carrots: these were great and the flavors were perfect. -Octipus: overcooked Dinner: -Catch of the day: we had 3 people in our group order it- all were overcooked. -The pig: was tender, but very small portion. -The lamb: also very tender and tastey. Also note- bring bug spray! We got eaten alive by mosquitos outside.

A
Aaron Shang

A fun and unique farmhouse environment, however on our visit there was also truly mediocre to below average dinner menu preparation. The Cornish hen and suckling pig were both under-seasoned, and significantly less enjoyable as compared even to similar dishes produced by the in-room dining kitchen at our local resort. On a not particularly busy night, service also took over an hour. At the end of the meal, staff also asked us to select a tip percentage from a pre-determined list prior to running our card, which felt awkward at best. Significantly less positive experience as compared to neighbors Acre and Flora Farms.

J
Joseph Raczynski

Wonderful property and farm! The setting is rustic but rewarding. We came here twice, once for drinks and then for dinner. Amazing at sunset... Now the unfortunate part, the food. The drinks are excellent, but the food is sadly lacking for the value. As you see, the prices are very high, but each dish falls short. If I were to summarize the experience, they miss the mark in robust, complex, or even subtle flavor. It's a bit surprising, because the tasting of some of the raw ingredients were fantastic.

You might not get to cook what you signed up for: My biggest complaint is that if you sign up for this cooking class, you might not actually get to cook the dish you requested. The class itself is about 90% watching the chef cook — guests mostly just chop a few vegetables and maybe cook a few tortillas. It felt more like a cooking demonstration than a hands-on experience. Drinks aren’t included (not even water): For a class that costs over $150 USD per person, I think it’s disappointing that not even water or non-alcoholic drinks are included. It really threw off the vibe when, at the end of dinner, we were handed a bill for drinks. Most people assumed they were part of the experience. It also felt a bit off that the suggested tip on the receipt was based on the total, including the $300+ cost of the class and the drinks, which makes it seem like a way to guarantee higher tips. It was really weird to feel the need to have that total showing again. Not a true “farm-to-table” experience: The property itself is nice, but it’s a stretch to call it farm-to-table. You don’t actually pick or use ingredients from the farm in your cooking. I’ve done other cooking classes where you harvest your own vegetables and bring them to the kitchen, that kind of hands-on element makes a big difference. Overall: Not worth the money and didn’t feel authentic. It came across more as a show designed for tourists rather than a genuine cultural or culinary experience.
