Simaruba: Increíble comida y servicio excepcional Tuvimos la suerte de visitar esta linda terraza justo cuando reabrían después de sus vacaciones, y nos ofrecieron el nuevo menú. La experiencia fue maravillosa de principio a fin. Desde las almejas en ceviche hasta la ensalada de betabel, todo estuvo delicioso. El pulpo con salsa de cacahuate fue simplemente espectacular, y los churros para terminar, exquisitos. Además, probamos los nuevos cócteles, los cuales resultaron ser excepcionales. Es difícil no pedir uno tras otro, ya que cada trago es una verdadera delicia. Sin duda, los cócteles que sirven aquí están entre los mejores que podrás encontrar en Cabo. Lo mejor de todo es que, a pesar de la calidad y la generosidad de las porciones, los precios son muy accesibles. Definitivamente, este restaurante es uno de los mejores de Cabo, y sin lugar a dudas, volveremos pronto.

El mejor restaurante que he visitado en todo San José, buena atención, bien ambiente, buena comida, nos atendió el buen mesero cesar Eduardo Campos e igual manera estuvo siempre al pendiente de nosotros la capitana Estela, nos recomendó un excelente corte de New York (para mí) y un delicioso pulpo al grill ( para mí acompañante). Un buen lugar para disfrutar un momento con tu pareja 🫶🏻

Simaruba es una joya escondida que no te puedes perder. La comida es simplemente espectacular: los tacos son deliciosos, el guacamole está lleno de sabor y frescura, el pollo perfectamente cocinado, y los churros… Inolvidables! El servicio fue excelente de principio a fin, muy atentos y amables. Además, la coctelería es de primer nivel, con combinaciones creativas y muy bien ejecutadas. Sin duda, un lugar al que regresaré cada vez que visite la zona. Altamente recomendado!

Staying at the Tropicana, this place is right down the street. The rooftop is outstanding, the food is delicious and the service (Eduardo) was excellent. Depending on how busy, the food comes a little slow but the atmosphere makes you want to stay longer anyway!!

Came here on Christmas for a nice dinner with family. Everything was delicious. We tried 3 different oyster appetizers, my 4 and 6 year old loved the salmon and steak quesadillas. I enjoyed the tuna tostada so much I ordered 2! The duck special was tender and flavorful and the scallops were excellent. The roof top terrace provided a special atmosphere for the occasion and Eduardo was a fantastic and attentive waiter. Highly recommend.

We booked dinner on Christmas Eve at this restaurant and we’re not disappointed! From the moment you enter, you feel welcomed and special. The ambiance on the rooftop is super cool, with live music ( a saxophonist, which was very talented). We had the oysters, which were to die for, a lovely bottle of Sauvignon blanc, a grilled octopus with plantains and a giant shrimp dish with beet risotto. Everything was delicious and unique! Our server, Edwardo was very attentive, friendly, interactive and professional. It is obvious that he loves his job! We couldn’t chose a better place to celebrate our anniversary at an affordable, yet fancier place in lovely San Jose!

We hosted my husband’s 50th birthday at Simaruba and rented out the entire restaurant—it was absolutely perfect! The team went above and beyond to make the night unforgettable. They helped us hire a fantastic DJ, made sure the bar was stocked with all of our guests’ favorite drinks, and every cocktail was amazing. The ambiance was spectacular, the service was impeccable, and we danced the night away! We’ll definitely be coming back the next time we’re in Cabo. Highly recommend!

Best Mexican restaurant in Cabo! You can’t miss it — from the beautiful decor to the lovely rooftop with its sunset view over the Art District, especially during the Art Walk. The clams are incredible, served two ways: I preferred the hot version with chorizo, while my wife loved the cold ceviche style. She ordered the salmon, perfectly cooked and paired with fragrant coconut rice, while I had the chicken — super tender and full of flavor. We finished with their amazing churros — an absolute must to end the meal! They also have a great selection of cocktails and wines. Everything from the food to the atmosphere and service was spot on. Can’t wait to go back!

I had a great experience at this gem located in the historic center of San Jose! It has a very large and beautiful rooftop patio. The food which features Baja style dishes was inventive, fresh and tasty, with on point flavors. I also had a couple of cocktails, including one called "the Grape Salad". Super good and unique. Their wine list is great too, featuring also great wines from Mexico! The 2 owners, Philippe and Edouard, are very nice and will make sure you get a great experience.

Cute rooftop location as you enter them downtown San Jose del Cabo area. Really cool bar and the rooftop tree and twinkle lights make it a fun place to eat. The menu was somewhat limited, but interesting and tasty. They also had an amazing sound system which added to the romantic nature of the rooftop dining area. I'll be back on another trip, for sure.

Si lo que quieres es comer y llenarte, este no es el lugar que buscas. Las porciones son muy pequeñas y caras. Btw me parece absurdo que el agua cueste 140 pesos. Muchas moscas. Fuera de la comida, el lugar es bonito y tranquilo.

La verdad es que esperabamos más de este lugar al ver las reseñas pero lo unico rescatable es el servicio, pedimos un tártar de res al centro y estaba frío, algunos pedazos de la carne estaban negros como si estuviera quemado, el chamorro igualmente frío y mi pescado la salsa de pipían no sabía a nada, para finalizar pedimos una tarta de mango y estaba quemada, no quisimos incomodar a nuestros meseros así que preferimos no decirles que no nos había gustado.

El lugar es muy bonito La atención deja mucho que desear Fuimos con mis amigas para festejar el cumpleaños de una, con reservación. Al finalizar la cena nos cobraron servicio de pastel el cual no fue partido por ellos, ni servido y cuando el mesero vio que ya lo estábamos partiendo nos dijo que iba a traer una vela pero que ya no por que ya lo habíamos partido Deberían mejorar ese servicio si es que lo van a cobrar o avisar antes de ese cobro! Hemos ido a varias restaurantes del centro y en ninguno nos han hecho eso! No recomendable para festejar algo ahí El tiempo de espera en comida y bebidas muy malo también!

Fue una completa decepción. El servicio fue lento y desorganizado desde el inicio, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera frustrante. El mesero olvidó nuestra orden en ocasiones, y cuando finalmente llegaba a la mesa, parecía apresurado y sin interés en atendernos adecuadamente. Esa noche hacía frío, los calentadores estaban prendidos cuando llegamos pero después los alejaron y apagaron sin razón alguna. También deberían de tener mesas más amplias para reservas de más de 3 pax, ya que juntar mesas redondas es incómodo. Hay otros restaurantes por la zona con mejores instalaciones, mejor menú y servicio por precios similares. En pocas palabras Simaruba necesita mejorar mucho en atención al cliente, organización y calidad general. No lo recomendaría ni volvería.

Comida nefasta Inicie con un tartar de res,están frío y la carne quemada estaba negra seguramente no está bien tapada y se les hizo así por el refrigerador,me pusieron una rebanadas de pan que seguramente era de días acompañado de una estrellita de mantequilla,después pedí un chamorro estába frío del centro y aparte incipido con una "guarnición" de pico de gallo con piña sin chiste Y para terminar el postre.... Me recomendaron un pay de mango y la galleta estaba QUEMADA de ahí en fuera La atención de los meseros fue magnífica Siempre estaban al pendiente Las bebidas de lujo Por favor poner atención en la comida
