Every time I’ve been to Bamboo Fish, the food has been excellent. The fish is always fresh, and everything is cooked or prepared perfectly. I’ve always enjoyed my visits—the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service is very good. They do things a little differently here: you scan a code to see the menu, then let the waiter know what you’d like. It’s simple and straight to the point. The fried tempura and mango salmon sushi roll were outstanding, and the classic miso soup hit the spot. Definitely a great place for sushi!

One of the most underrated Japanese restaurants in Almaden (better than Sanraku and Almaden Sushi). Prices are good. Service is great. The atmosphere is welcoming. As for the food, the salmon crudo and poke nachos are divine. The hot sake adds a nice layer to things. This is definitely a go-to spot for good Japanese food.

I've been looking for a sushi spot since I moved here months ago. I have my absolute favorite spot in my hometown that I've gone to for 20years, so I was definitely looking for something comparable. I found it! The prices are decent and there's a lot to choose from. We enjoyed all of the rolls we got. The customer service was also great. We ordered online to-go, but because of an accident on the freeway,it took way longer to get there. They close at 2pm and I got there right at 2, which I felt absolutely terrible about. I could tell they really had somewhere to be, but they patiently waited for me to pick up. I truly appreciated that. We'll definitely be back.

Food is delicious! The staff is very attentive. And restaurant is clean. This is going to be my family’s new favorite sushi spot! I hope they get to expand a tad cause it can be a little tight to move around.

The food here was delicious. I loved everything we ordered. The Godzilla roll was really good, though a bit spicy for me. Once I removed a little of the hot sauce it was perfect. The service was great attentive but not intrusive.

Glad to see the food was fresh even with the holiday schedule. Last day off of holiday vacation and my usual place was not open. Picked Bamboo as a last ditch option to get something different than the holiday chow I was getting over the last 10 days. All aspects that I saw were clean and tidy. We sat at the bar so saw the chef work. No complaints and nothing to worry about in regards to his methods. Got a few different rolls and each was distinctly different. Considering the components are limited with sushi, they found good combinations. Also, some ingredients were not standard which was refreshing. Service was friendly, food was tasty and the atmosphere was comfortable. I would try again to see if this place becomes our new standard sushi joint. Prices are a bit higher than some other places but I got good quality which is necessary for sushi.

This place should be more crowded IMO. Nigiri was so, so good. Love the fresh wasabi (that was new to me), salad dressing (!), soup and seafood. Wish this was close to my house!

Great food. Family owned by the chef. Friendly and attentive. Like many restaurants it's hard for me to adjust to lack of printed menus, expecting me to use my phone; noisy; and increasingly expensive. Give them a try.

I have an allergy to soy so I asked for no unagi which was questioned by the waitress including me having to zoom into the roll picture to show her the sauce that I didn't want on it. I asked to add on avocado outside (which was a menu option on their QR code) for 3 or 4 dollars and substitute shrimp for the salmon. I was told this would be an expensive roll $30 and the chef might get mad of the requests and not to order it. Idc about the price, id have order it anyways if she didn't make such a big deal. I ended up ordering a STR #2 because of her push back. It was okay

Horrible experience - went in with a reservation through Google Assistant (that was set/reserved multiple days in advance). When we walked in, we basically got turned away with the owner shouting from the bar saying that they ‘don’t take reservations through anything other than the phone’ despite me showing them my confirmation email AND text. The whole restaurant was staring and was incredibly embarrassing for all parties involved. As a result, we walked across the street to the Mexican restaurant where we were treated incredibly well and not yelled at. Disappointing and horrible service and management. Will never attempt to go again. And for the owner yelling across the bar, please understand that you represent the restaurant and the unprofessional manner you presented.
