I came across this place by accident and it happened to be their soft opening (03/19/2025)! Service was friendly and quick, immediately had a table! We ordered three dishes: Sashimi Platter Goku Roll Kayla Roll Everything was good and fresh, our favorite was the Kayla Roll! Will be coming back! :)

Goku Sushi is a fantastic casual restaurant located at 840 Blossom Hill Rd in San Jose, California. The sushi is always fresh and delicious, and the chefs are incredibly talented, creating beautiful and flavorful rolls. The service is friendly and attentive, making for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. It's a great place to unwind and savor a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

We had a great time here. The vibe is nice, customer service is very friendly and helpful. Sushi tastes so fresh and so delicious. Chicken karaage is so crunchy and tasty. We will come back.

Just had a delicious lunch here. Everything we ordered was super tasty and fresh! We had garlic edamame, albacore nigiri ikutama nigiri, the goku special roll and the fire cracker bomb roll - we loved the ikutama nigiri - had never tried it before. We will be back for sure!!! We came back again and it was delicious - this time we tried the tempura and the spicy dragon roll 😋! Also great service again - both waitresses, Tu and Misa were kind, welcoming, polite and quick.

my wife and I love sushi, so we were very delighted to learn a sushi place opened so close to us. We got here the first day they opened. Needless to say we were surprised to find that there was a negative review days before they opened. overall we loved the food. we had 2 rolls, 1 sashimi and 1 appetizer. food was great and the server was super nice. walked away with a happy belly and would definitely come back again.

I went to their soft opening on March 19th, 2025 which is their first day opening so I’m not sure why someone wrote a bad review 5 days ago… I came here with my cousins to try out this new spot in the plaza and it did not disappoint. The food here was delicious! The orange sauce that came with the chicken karaage good wasn’t too spicy it was just right for my taste. The staff here are very friendly and attentive. The decor here looked amazing! Will definitely come here again

Walked in for dinner with no wait. Very easy parking. Service was fast/efficient. Prices were reasonable. Rolls were delicious. Nigiri was okay. We did get a specialty one so we asked them to change it and the salt flakes were huge and a bit overwhelming.

Really good spot! The sushi was super fresh and flavorful — you can tell they use quality ingredients. The place is clean, cozy, and has a nice chill vibe. Service was quick and friendly too, they really take care of you. Prices are fair for the quality you get. Definitely one of the better sushi places around San Jose. I’ll be coming back for sure!

The Dragon Roll and the Omakase selection were definite highlights—melt-in-your-mouth goodness! The fish quality was top-notch, and the portions were generous. On top of that, the service was fast and attentive, with the staff making sure we had everything we needed. Prices were reasonable for the quality, and we left completely satisfied. Highly recommend Goku Sushi if you're in the area—this place is a must-visit for sushi lovers!

Very nice from the hot green tea through the sushi and side dishes. Servers maintain comfortable distance without getting lost. Prices reasonable and fish is fresh, delicately prepared. Have an interesting light crust in crumbles on the sushi — same ingredients as the flaky crust on the tempura. 🍤 prawns are thoroughly cooked but not overcooked

Goku Sushi is definitely a new favorite for our family! The sushi was super fresh, with just the right proportions—not too much rice, not too little fish—just perfect. You can really taste the quality in every bite. The location is also a huge plus. It’s right across the street from Westfield Shopping Center, so it’s a great spot to grab a meal before or after shopping. And no need to stress about parking—there’s plenty of it! But the real stamp of approval? My kids, who can be pretty picky eaters, absolutely loved it! If it’s kid-approved, you know it’s good. We’ll definitely be back! 🍣😋

The sushi specialty roll here are excellent. We ordered the mango crunch, Goku special and hamachi lover and loved it. I forgot to take a picture of the other two rolls. The salmon belly fusion and soft shell crab are a must try. Overall great ambience and service. Will definitely come back and try other items!!

You can see it’s a family business, food is great way above the usual Japanese restaurant, to me personally the cherry on the top is the service, they are very hospitable. Warm and friendly. And I have very high standards. Atmosphere is also very nice, a lot of natural light during the day. Good to come with friends and spend time or also for a quick lunch by yourself.

The sushi rolls here are DELICIOUS. The tempura is so fresh and crunchy. The sushi rice, the fish… were SO fresh. Very yummy. I will definitely be back!

This place is the best! The sushi is so good and the service is fantastic. Van is our favorite server. We can't get enough of it.

New sushi restaurant finally open within walking distance from me! They totally transformed the interior, it looks completely different from the location's Johnny Rockets and Burgerim eras. It looks sleek and beautiful with the hanging lanterns and the koi fish on the wall 👌 Food: Salmon belly nigiri - 5/5, very delicious and fresh. Also the first time I've ever gotten nigiri with such long slices of fish. Miso soup - 4/5, a bit bland but still refreshing. Beef teriyaki - 2/5, sadly, despite its nice presentation, this was not up to standard. Not sure what cut of meat was used, but it had a lot of inedible cartilage bits and it was overcooked, so the meat was tough to chew. Service: No greeting upon walking in, but I was still seated fairly quickly. Overall I will definitely come back to try more of the sushi dishes, but I will probably skip the entrees in the future.

Their sushi and sashimi are pretty good, but the ramen is quite disappointing. It tasted like instant noodles.
