Really nice neighborhood cafe to go get awesome Persian tea and brekkie !
I need to issue a formal warning about Yeganeh Bakery!!! Once you walk through those doors, nowhere else will ever be enough. Consider yourself warned. For over a decade this place has had an unbreakable hold on me, and I have zero desire to break free. Yeganeh Bakery is not just a bakery, it is a full sensory experience that transports you the moment you step inside. The aroma of freshly baked bread straight from the oven hits you first, then the warmth of the staff wraps around you like a second home you didn't know you had. The staff is nothing short of extraordinary, fluent in multiple languages, deeply rooted in true Iranian culture, and radiating that legendary Persian hospitality that makes every single customer feel like a cherished guest. Their smiles are captivating, their warmth is genuine, and the memories made here are genuinely unforgettable. The selection will leave your head spinning in the best way, fresh oven baked bread, an incredible variety of teas and candies, beautiful produce, and authentic Persian dishes representing the full rich culinary landscape of Iran. Every visit feels like a celebration of culture on a plate. And the Kaleh Pacheh? San Jose's crown jewel. Full stop. People need to make the trip from wherever they are just for that alone. Yeganeh Bakery isn't just a place to shop or eat — it's a piece of Iran's soul right here in San Jose, and it deserves every flower thrown at its feet. 💚🦁❤️
I HIGHLY enjoyed this Persian cafe! It is very cozy and welcoming, tucked in the back of a Middle Eastern grocery store. I ordered the walnut and dates omelette and loved how the flavors complimented each other. Not too oily/greasy either! The Persian tea was also so aromatic and delicious. I loved the Lavash bread too (wish it was a bit warmer though). I will definitely be back to try the other dishes!
I went there for their sandwiches and super happy. I ordered Khafan and it was really good, it took me back to Iran and when I tried sandwiches there. I did some shopping too and very satisfied. I wish I had more time to go back and try rest of their menu. The owner was there and he was very nice and friendly.
First time here, and I have to say this menu is amazing. I wanted to try everything. It all looked genuinely good, fresh, and made from high-quality ingredients! The store has a variety of items from dairy, meats, nuts, drinks, pantry staples, sweets, etc. We got some walnuts that tasted so fresh and some dried fruit candies that have no added sugar. We ordered the acai bowl and khafan and bandari. The acai bowl was soo fresh and a large portion. The khafan and bandari was the best I ever had, great balance of flavors, fresh baked bread and high quality halal meats. There is a bakery with delicious handcrafted drinks and baked goods I was blown away. The restaurant was clean and the staff was welcoming, it was a relaxing atmosphere to have lunch. There is indoor outdoor seating. We really enjoyed the market, and the cafe will definitely be back to try more.
Stumbled upon this charming Persian café with a friend for an afternoon tea, and it turned out to be a delightful find. It’s a cozy, hole-in-the-wall spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, perfect for a laid-back catch-up. When you first walk in, it feels like you’ve entered a Mediterranean market — shelves stocked with dates, jams, dried fruits, baklava, cookies, fresh curd, and a variety of olive oils. It adds a unique charm, blending a grocery experience with a café vibe. We ordered a tea, a red velvet latte, and a couple of pastries. The coffee was excellent, rich, and well-balanced, while the pastries tasted fresh and flavorful. The raisin scone, though, was a bit dry. One standout feature is their fresh-baked Lavash bread, made daily. I grabbed one with sesame seeds, which turned out to be perfect for making the most delicious paneer wraps at home. Overall, it’s a lovely little spot with a warm atmosphere and great baked goods. I’ll definitely be returning to try more beverages and stock up on their delicious breads and pastries!
This was the best breakfast I’ve had in the 5 years since I moved to California from the east coast. The food was incredible, zero misses from the juice, omelette, wheat flat bread to cookie and coffee. We opted for the healthy options on the menus and we were not disappointed. It’s hard to find healthy food that is not over seasoned or too much oil. Everything tasted exceptionally fresh! I came back a couple times and wanted to update: you must be there before noon otherwise the main selling point (the flat bread) will no longer be fresh.
What a hidden gym in the bay. Seems to family run or by a community that’s very close. They are so friendly they’ll come up to talk to you very casually and help out your any need. The biggest learning for me though is that much more of a restaurant vibe than cafe vibe! The coffee is great but grab some food, and put the work away and enjoy!
I live in the East Bay, so I don’t get to come here often. But every time when I am in town I would definitely visit my favorite Yeganeh Cafe and Bakery. Everything they have here are fresh and delicious! I ordered the açaí bowl, the beef sausage sandwich, the eggplant dip and the baklava today. The açaí bowl is absolutely my go to for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The açaí is tasty and the honey is just enough and not too sweet :). The granola and coconut added an extra crunch and nutty taste to the fresh fruit bowl. The eggplant dip taste homemade and yummy! I especially love the grilled onions and the sesame bread! I’ve had several attempts trying to make that dip myself but it was nothing like their dip here. The sausage sandwich is very flavorful! The sausage is quite juicy and they also added the pickles, tomato and lettuce to balance the flavor. And best of all, they toasted the bread! The baklava is nutty and crunchy. Anyway, if you want to have fresh and authentic Persian food, don’t miss this place! They also have the grocery inside the store too :). I think I need to come back more!
I had sosis bandari and lamb tongue sandwich. They were delicious. Sosis bandari was a bit cold. Ambiance and service should definitely improve. I like the idea that they name diffrtent tables by different cities of Iran.
While the pizza was delicious, the presentation wasnt so appealing. I didn't like the sandwiches, however, if you do your grocery shopping with them the bread, both the barbari and sangak were amazing, and the yogurt was fantastic. You can find items that are almost unique to this place.
I tried the whole shebang (it’s an imported with vegetables, mushrooms and halal beef sausage), it also comes with strawberries and oranges as well as the bread - it was quite delicious. Portion is also quite big. However note that feta doesn’t come with this omelette and it’s additional $1.99 to add on the side. I love feta, it was good texture and flavor. The bread is warm and crunchy - overall good experience. Note that the seating is a bit limited so in busy time some waiting time is possible.
Heard this place is a hidden gem in Westfield valley so we paid a visit on weekends. The price has increased a lot from the pics on Google map. It costs around $16 for a breakfast entry now. The portion is large though. We tried Zaban with flat Sangak. It has plenty of beef tongue in the sandwich. And the flat sangak is chewy and full of flavor. We also ordered Nargesi, which is the spinach n eggs. In general, price is on the higher range considering the environment.
This is a Iranian cafe. There is plenty of seating indoors and outside. There is also a small Iranian grocery store as part of the shop. The cafe has a bakery. There are weekend specials such as Iranian chicken haleem which is very different from haleem found in south Asia or different from Harees found in middle east. Iranians put sugar. There are plenty of options for pastries, cakes and sandwiches. There is pizza also. A great place for small bites but not a place to hand full blow meals. If you are looking for good breakfast a great place to come. If you want various types of teas an excellent place to come. They serve traditional Iranian tea. I have tried the veggie omelette which has bell pepper, onions and mushrooms in it and seared with freshly baked Iranian bread. I have also had the zaban Sandwich which is a beef tongue sandwich. It is incredible and the most unique sandwich. It will fill you up. The owners are very nice and the staff is polite. This place has a good variety of veggies and non veg options. Coffee is average. They do provide some interesting coffee like with jasmine flavor. They have a variety of breakfast sausages and salami options from Iran. I just wish they had some kebab based sandwiches. So similar to the zaban Sandwich but make it with shami or koobideh kebab. I think it will go brilliantly. It is a good spot to meet friends and family for the weekend. Last but not least they make fresh smoothies and juices. A great place to come after a workout to have their high protein low carb breakfast with juice.
I initially stumbled into this place looking for a new cafe to review, but to my surprise it's more than a cafe. It's actually a small Mediterranean convenience store that serves coffee. So my review is based on that fact and not on the coffee. It's not like the coffee was bad, as a matter of fact, the coffee was really good. It was prepared to the perfect temperature and brought to my table by a polite server that seemed to know everything about the store. I sampled some of the traditional pastries and came away with an overall good experience. If you're looking for lots of dried fruits, ingredients, or a Mediterranean experience, you come to the right place. Even though it's not located in some trendy bazaar at some exotic location, the atmosphere still has something to contribute. You can sit outside and watch strangers pass by while you sit underneath a covered umbrella and make up stories about their life. It's an overall demeanor seems to have a perfect balance a place that hosts you and your friends while you catch up, and a place you might just hang out by yourself. I can't complain about that. It's clearly a recommend for me.
Quite different from most of the Mediterranean restaurants we’ve been to. What we ordered tasted quite authentic but we found it be pretty bland. The eggplant dip and the bread was good, but the chicken dish was average. Maybe this is how the food is supposed to taste, but we didn’t love it. The fresh fruit juices are great! Doubt we will be back.
