Wow. I'm impressed, like really impressed with this place. I never heard much about it so I think that's what makes my experience that much better. I was visiting San Jose with my fiance and we stopped by and went through the grocery store/deli and loved all the Italian options. Authentic cheeses and meats along with an unlimited supply of authentic Italian options. We went to the 3rd floor where the restaurant was located and were promptly seated. The server as fast and attentive. The pasta made from scratch is outrageous. The atmosphere was inviting and fun. Great food, great service but it ain't cheap.
We didn’t have to wait to get a table. It was a little busy, but we got our food in a reasonable time. I loved the pasta with seafood and my dessert was very sweet, I would prefer something more lightly sweet, but it was ok. My husband got a bolognese pasta and it was not bad, but he said he would prefer a pizza next time. He got a dessert better than my choice(pana cotta with apple), I tried and it was delicious. A balanced dessert is everything! Overall, our visit was great. Nice staff and warm environment.
Food is delicious. Service is meh. My daughter and I have been here twice now. Both times without reservations. Both times were able to get a table fairly quickly. First time service was good even though they were busy. However, this time I felt as though they were busy like before but the service was just meh. Had to wait to order drinks so we ended up ordering the drinks, appetizer, and entree at the same time. Had to wait to get the additional olive oil for the bread. The price has increased from our last visit which I get with current economy. You have to order bread/olive oil as an appetizer (not given as many restaurants do). For my 14yr old and myself it was over $110 with tip (which I even decreased slightly because of the lack of service) slightly pricy for the amount of food given.
Eataly in San Jose is an amazing place for anyone who loves authentic Italian food. The pasta and pizza are outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Great selection of drinks and wines, too. The atmosphere is lively and elegant at the same time, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. Highly recommend visiting!
A really good place to enjoy Italian food after spending time in the mall. The service was very friendly and professional. The food was amazing too. Well-presented and tasteful. The tiramisu was a highlight, quite an experience compared to the typical tiramisu serving. Overall warmly recommended.
Lovely venue. Delightful staff. Absolutely delicious food. Large portions which makes it fun to share and try different menu items. The grilled calamari was really good. Pricey, but worth it.
We went for my wife’s birthday and this place didn’t disappoint! Great food, she got the Margherita pizza which was delicious and I got the authentic table side prepared, fettuccine Alfredo. Also, Andres made her birthday extra special with a special dessert and espresso!
Every time I visit Eataly, I end up ordering almost the same things and honestly, that consistency is exactly why it’s one of my go-to spots. This time, I went with the Margherita Rivisitata, Soppressata, an Americano, and the white chocolate croissant. The flavors are exactly what I expect from Eataly. The Margherita Rivisitata is simple but executed beautifully. Fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and good olive oil come together in a way that feels light yet satisfying. The Soppressata brings a nice contrast bold, savory, and slightly spicy, perfect if you want something with more depth. Their Americano deserves a special mention. It’s one of my favorites anywhere not too strong, not too light, just perfectly balanced. Smooth, easy to drink, and ideal alongside food rather than overpowering it. To finish, the white chocolate croissant was indulgent without being overly sweet. Flaky layers on the outside, rich but restrained sweetness inside, it’s the kind of pastry you enjoy slowly rather than rushing through.
10/10 recommended. 8/28 is our wedding anniversary and my hubby made reservations here. And they had everything so nice for us! They had an Happy Anniversary card on the table & it was just beautiful. The food was amazing. My only negative is the pasta did get cold quick, however, we was sitting outside. 100% coming back. And dessert was on them!
This is one of ny favorite restaurants in the whole country! They have great italian food! There are many floors all full of italian products, food and liquors. I highly recommend the sandwiches and the desserts. They also have Gelato. Service is great and it's a great experience
A fascinating spot featuring three floors of Italian cuisine, market goods, and tasty essentials. The fresh bread and to-go options were surprisingly great!
This dinner was almost to good to be true. From the walnut and blue cheese salad to the N’walins shrimp appetizer, just those alone was great. Then came the awesome entrees of the crusted halibut and grilled chiliean seabass. Trying to write this nearly passes me out because of how great i felt for ordering these for dinner. Along with the great service from the host and our sever Mikayla, the experience was phenomenal. Thank you Kings Fish House for making my dinner with my wife great and fun to be there!
King’s Fish House delivers every time. The seafood is incredibly fresh, from the oysters to the grilled fish plates. You can taste the quality in every dish. The service is always welcoming and professional, and the staff really knows the menu — they’re great at recommending what’s fresh that day. The restaurant has a comfortable, lively atmosphere that works for everything from family dinners to business lunches. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. This has become one of my go-to seafood restaurants. Highly recommend! 🐟🦀🍤
King’s Fish House🥰 is such a great spot — everything about it hits the mark! The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for a casual night out, a date, or even a family dinner. It has that classic seafood house feel but with a modern, lively twist. The food is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. From oysters to grilled fish to hearty seafood platters, everything we tried was spot-on. The portions are generous, and the quality is consistently high. Pair your meal with a cold beer, and you’re all set for a satisfying and enjoyable dining experience. The drink selection is solid, and the service is friendly and attentive, which just makes everything better. If you’re looking for great seafood, a good atmosphere, and a place to unwind, King’s Fish House is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommended — I’ll definitely be coming back!
We came here to celebrate our friends birthday. We were seated party of 10. We were sitting in a booth in front of the bar. We were served water after seating. We ordered our food and no more than 5-8 minutes our food came out. The oysters were sweet and juicy. We ordered the Pacific Yellowtail and Tuna poke with fish and chips. The wontons were crispy and the poke was refreshing. The fish and chips did not disappoint as they were giant and juicy! Would come here again! Great service and amazing experience! Thanks!
I tried the lobster roll and the miso sea bass here. The lobster roll was decent—the lobster meat was fresh and came in large pieces. The bread was soft, though I’ve had more flavorful versions elsewhere in the Bay Area. The sauce was quite light, so overall the flavor felt a bit mild for my taste. The miso sea bass was a pleasant surprise. The portion was bigger than I expected, and it came with some vegetables and a bowl of rice. It was nicely cooked and tasted good. The restaurant environment was comfortable and nicely set up, which made the overall experience enjoyable.
Such a fun and delicious spot to eat with a group. I had only been to the Calabasas location, but this one didnt disappoint. The oysters were fresh, the new Orleans shrimp, which is always a go to if you like some spice, was perfect, and to finish off the meal try their buttercake for dessert.
We recently had the pleasure of dining at King's Fish House, and what a fantastic experience it was! From the moment we walked in, we felt like royalty, treated to exceptional service, and indulged in mouthwatering seafood delights. The food was Fresh, flavorful, and expertly prepared, each dish was a masterpiece. We savored every bite of our seafood. Every dish was a hit, and we left feeling satisfied, but not stuffed. The portions were generous, and the prices were reasonable, making it an excellent value. King's Fish House has won us over, and we can't wait to return! If you're a seafood lover or just looking for a fantastic dining experience, this hidden gem is a must-visit. Don't miss out on the culinary delights and warm hospitality that await you.
Tried Eataly recently and had a mixed experience. I ordered the truffle pasta, a mushroom pizza, and a Caesar salad. The pasta was a letdown — the sauce was too sour, the texture felt undercooked, and even with the extra $8 charge for truffle on top, it didn’t add much flavor. The Caesar salad was also pretty basic and nothing memorable. The pizza, however, was excellent — perfectly baked crust, rich mushroom flavor, and a great balance of cheese and seasoning. The wait time was about ten minutes, which was reasonable, and our server was professional and attentive throughout. Overall, Eataly is worth visiting, but I’d recommend sticking with their pizzas over the pasta or salad
If you’re looking for a boujee dining experience, Eataly definitely delivers on that front. I ordered a truffle pasta and a chocolate dessert (can’t recall the exact names). Both were delicious — the truffle flavor in the pasta really stood out, and the dessert was beautifully presented and tasted incredible. Honestly, the dessert alone was a solid 10/10. That said, the pasta felt a bit too rich and buttery for my liking — I couldn’t get through more than a few bites. The ambiance is upscale and stylish, perfect for an office lunch or a celebratory outing. However, it was quite noisy when I visited, which made it hard to have a conversation — not ideal for a date night. Overall: The food is tasty and the setting is elegant, but the prices are steep for what you get.
Eataly is a fun place to be. It is very crowded but I enjoy walking around. You do have to make reservations to eat at the restaurants. I have to say, Eataly is quite expensive. You could probably find cheaper foods and products elsewhere. But, Eataly is cool since there's so many Italian things in one place. The food is pretty good. I like to get the peaches with my friends. My favorite item is probably the tiramisu. Why is it so expensive?? But it's way too good. It's a must-get for me.
We used to love this place but it doesn’t feel the same anymore, the service was so slow only one person for so many people. The food was okay. pasta’s quantity was less than usual. The limoncello was nice though!
The oysters were fresh, the octopus was tender with well-balanced flavors, and the tacos were aromatic and nicely seasoned, though the fish portion could have been a bit more generous. The outdoor patio was also properly heated and comfortable. The only item that did not meet my expectations was the creme brulee: the sugar crust on top was far too thick and overwhelmed the custard.
Delightfully cozy atmosphere with well separated seating areas, some at the street window catching the sun. The outside patio is heated, facing the buzzing traffic of the Valley Fair mall. The inside dark color scheme is a fresh take on the nautical theme with beautiful hanging nets full with turquoise, navy blue and clear glass "bubbles". Lovely array of cocktails and a mix of healthy and traditional food options. The fish was on the salty side. Water was not offered, had to be asked for. Attentive staff. The new parking structure at Valley Fair is right next to the restaurant and when parking there, drive towards "employees parking", it is for everyone, else park at the Santana Row parkings and walk to King's Fish, it is at the Tiffany's and Bloomingdale's entrances.
This was the second time visiting this location. My son loves the one in Burbank. My initial visit a couple of years ago was not so good, poor service and they got my order wrong. Very different experience this time. Service was a little slow, some of that was due to our group not all getting there in time. Food was fairly tasty, especially the buccatini shrimp dish I had. All the others in my group got a dish off the grill, no complaints. I especially like the no cirkage fee policy. Will try this place again with the family.
Ate dinner on Saturday night. Meal was hot and tasty. With a reservation we were seated pretty quickly. We had Jessica (Jess) as a server and she was friendly and attentive. Appreciate how quickly our appetizer came as we thought about the main entrees. Kudos to Jess on celebrating a birthday at the table with a tasty key lime pie. The meal was hot and the service was attentive. Would recommend coming again.
Love the variety of seafood and dishes offered here and the quality is decently fresh. Oysters are always fresh here and it’s fun to try different varieties from around the globe. Misoyaki Chilean sea bass is flavorful and nice, but am still looking for a place that offers the same quality butterfish found in Hawaii. Uni was not as sweet here as in Japanese restaurants, so may have just gotten a bad batch. Make sure to leave room for dessert, their butter cake is an amazing way to end the meal. Love how they have both indoor and outdoor seating. And recommend making reservations beforehand. Ever since The Fish Market closed down up here, have been visiting the King’s Fish House.
We were able to get a spot in the early afternoon on a weekend without reservations and had a delicious late lunch. The raw oyster sampler with 2 of each variety was fresh and delicious. The miso glazed sea bass was a little salty however the fish was high quality and fresh. The steak ended up being overdone compared to the medium rare we asked for so it ended up being a bit dry. Overall still a tasty meal especially at a shopping mall.
Tried Eataly the second time very recently. It was the fall menu. It had the pumpkin/squash bruschetta . It was slightly sweet and the topping of green was very good. The Kale warm bread was good - brought out the smoothness in the kale. The menu had changed a lot and I felt it has fewer vegetarian friendly options. We tried the eggplant pizza and the mushroom pasta. Both were ok. The tiramisu too was ok. I felt like the quality of food has slipped a little.
You just can’t resist corkage-free seafood! The oysters were incredibly fresh and served without shells. The tacos were also delicious. The cioppino had a strong fish stock flavor — which I enjoyed. The fact that they allow corkage-free wine is a huge plus for me! And after the meal, they even brought out warm towels. Such a thoughtful touch.
I was really looking forward to getting a seat this time, because before I had to wait for an hour and I gave up but I didn't expect that I was disappointed. The fried calamari and clam chowder appetizers were good . but the main course was terrible. The fish and chips $26 were just warm. The waiter brought back to kitchen and made it again , but second time was still warm, just a little bit hot than before. but it was not delicious anyway . My salad, butter lettuce tasted old because it was not fresh, bacon was hard, shrimp was not fresh $26. I would like to say that the reviews are not true or the restaurant quality has declined.
Ok listen closely if you wanna save yourself 160$. My boyfriend brought me here for VDAY and we ordered our food let me tell you. I had to send back the lasagna after watching Gordon Ramsey I know it was microwaved not only that but it had a smell and taste like cat foood. Our waiter was nice about it but I would not recommend coming here whatsoever. This place is hyped maybe because of the looks but the food is not worth it for the price save yourself the money and just get some tacos at a taco truck or yard house.
I can't remember the last time I've been so disappointed by a restaurant experience. The whole place gave me IKEA vibes for some reason. The food was depressing -- we got the bruschetta, broccolini, funghi lasagna, and butternut squash ravioli. Nothing sparked joy, and everything was quite overpriced. Look at the attached photos to see for yourself. The waitress was friendly and helpful though.
Customer Service Experience – Extremely Disappointing As both a frequent customer of this establishment and a local member of the surrounding community, I was genuinely disappointed by my experience this Tuesday. While completing my payment, I calmly mentioned to the customer service representative that she could be friendlier in her approach. Rather than receiving that feedback professionally, she reacted in a way that felt defensive and inappropriate for someone in a customer-facing role. She deliberately made a point to personally prepare my drink and then made it clear that if I had any comments about her service, I should not say them in front of “her” employees. That type of response is unacceptable and frankly disturbing coming from someone representing your business. Customer service positions require professionalism, emotional regulation, and the ability to accept feedback with maturity. Creating an uncomfortable environment for a paying customer — and implying that feedback should be silenced — reflects very poorly on the establishment. To make matters worse, when I asked for her name after the interaction, she refused to provide it. Transparency and accountability are fundamental in customer service, and the refusal to identify herself only compounded the situation. As someone who not only frequents your restaurant but also lives in this neighborhood, I expect a higher standard of professionalism. Tuesday’s experience was deeply disappointing and does not reflect the level of service your community deserves. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the behavior appropriately.
I ordered a sandwich and no one told me whether it was cold or warm. I honestly thought all sandwiches here were served warm, so I expected a hot chicken sandwich. When I received it, it was super cold, like it had just come out of the freezer. I asked the staff if they could warm it up, and they said they couldn’t. Then I asked if I could change it to something else, and they refused to change it. The way they talked to me was disappointing and not respectful. A cold chicken sandwich felt very strange and unacceptable to me. I used to be a fan of this restaurant, but this experience completely changed my mind. The food and especially the customer service were a big letdown. I’m very disappointed and I will never come back to this restaurant again.
We were really disappointed with our experience at King's Fish. There was a mouse inside the restaurant while we were eating. We told the staff right away, but they didn't do anything about it. The food itself was fresh, but after seeing that and getting useless response, we completely lost our appetite. Definitely not coming back until they fix their hygiene issues.
