We had such a great dinner here. The service service provided by Jarell and Rony was excellent. The atmosphere and all the gauchos were wonderful. We were there with our kids (being kids lol) but we still felt very welcomed and comfortable. Thank you so much Jarell for your patience and kindness. We will definitely be coming back many times.

Open since 2014 in the Santana Row complex Fogo de Chao offers an enjoyable upscale dining experience suitable for couples, friends and families alike. New to us but not new to others, the full churasco experience is well worth the price of admission. The free appetizers (salad, cold cuts, fruits etc.) are nicely displayed and quite good. Don't fill up on them though. As for the grilled meats, they're delicious. Many if not all are served hot off the grill. Whether its the beef, pork or chicken they're all seasoned well and not dry. The picahna is indeed the star of the show with its combination of well seasoned and well grilled fat and meat. Wait for it if you can and decline other items as you wait. A side of fried plaintains was ok but their fried crispy yuca fries were cold and mealy. Not very good. During the initial visit by the server, be careful when accepting bottled water. Its $8.50 per person. Not sure if you can order regular water. Keep this in mind. Service is attentive and friendly. The roasted meats come regularly by also unexpectedly. Try to be disciplined and not immediately accept what's being presented. There isnt much in terms of dessert from what we saw but maybe there is more to offer during dinner service. They have cut papaya and pineapple if you're looking for after sweets. With its wood paneling, modern decor and subtle lighting, the dining room is quite elegant. Along with the Brazilian jazz or samba playing in the background, the atmosphere is great for dining conversation and makes you want to linger. Parking garage is underneath the same building. Expect to pay $6. Costco still sells $100 Fogo gift cards for $79. Buy it and use it without embarrassment. Its a good deal. Overall fogo de chao is a delightful dining destination. We'll return (but we need to get some more of those gift cards)
Great experience at Fogo de Chão. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly, especially the picanha. The salad bar had many fresh options. The lobster was also very tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. I would definitely come back.
Such a great experience from start to finish. The place was busy when we went, but you honestly wouldn’t have known it by how smoothly everything was handled. Teresa was fantastic — attentive, upbeat, and totally on top of things the entire night. She made sure our drinks were refilled, questions were answered, and that we had everything we needed without us ever having to ask twice. The whole staff seemed dialed in and working together, which made the atmosphere feel organized and welcoming even during the rush. That kind of service really stands out. We left feeling taken care of and genuinely impressed. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place for pretty much any occasion. It’s one of those reliable spots you can count on.
I had an exceptional experience at Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse thanks to Andrew and Justin. They are two outstanding servers who were incredible, professional, personable, and attentive, and they made the entire dining experience feel special from start to finish. The food was excellent, perfectly prepared, and consistently delivered, but what truly stood out was the level of service. The manager was also exceptional, welcoming, engaged, and clearly leads a strong, well coordinated team. The attention to detail and overall professionalism were evident throughout the entire visit. I would absolutely come back again just for Andrew and Justin and the experience they provided. Highly recommended.
Amazing experience! Our waiters were Bryant and Victor, they would constantly check on our tables and make sure we had water and side dishes. Great service, when we asked for specific cuts of meat they were super attentive and brought out the meat really fresh and fast! When one of my friends wanted the pork belly, they made sure the kitchen was cooking it and brought it out to us first thing. Loved the flank steak, it was delicious and perfectly medium. The salad bar also had a ton of good options to choose from.
Come prepared to eat a lot! The salad bar had a lot of options, which really complement the meats. The meat options were really flavorful. The rib eye and flank steak were our favorites. But the sausage, pork, lamb and bacon wrapped chicken were also very good. Our server Kian was very attentive and helpful when explaining the options. We really enjoyed our dinner here.
Had a wonderful Brazilian steakhouse experience at Fogo de Chão. Even with a reservation, we still had to wait a bit because it gets very busy. The service was great. Our server, Julian, was friendly, attentive, and easy on the eyes✨ The meat servers came around more often than I expected, and there was a great variety of cuts, which was a big plus. The salad bar, on the other hand, felt a bit underwhelming compared to the meats. A little insider tip: buying a gift card from Costco makes the meal much more affordable. I was slightly embarrassed using it at checkout, but the staff was totally cool about it. Parking was easy at a nearby garage, and it’s a perfect spot to walk around Santana Row after a big meal.
I’m very happy with the service Diego provided us. We weren’t sure what to order from the menu, but Diego recommended a delicious dish. He was very helpful and kind to us, and I definitely plan to come back again. I’ll return for the same dish, and I recommend this place for the whole family. The reservation AI kept mishearing my name and made the booking process a bit frustrating. When we arrived, there was a short wait of about 10 minutes while they set up our table, but the staff was very kind about it. Once seated, we had the churrasco experience, and the food was delicious. Each dish was delectable. Service was quick and impeccable throughout the night. After we shared our dietary restrictions, they gave us a full ingredient list, and it became a little bit of a puzzle each time a gaucho brought a dish to the table while we figured out the allergens from the list. I love puzzles, so that was actually fun! We really appreciated how careful the restaurant was with our dietary needs and the level of attention they gave us. The servers were great, even with a shift change, and everyone remembered our dietary restrictions the entire night. The Passionate Caipirinha cocktail was wonderful. The only dish that missed the mark was the bone marrow, which was too salty, but they removed it from the bill without any fuss. Overall, a great dining experience with excellent service and amazing food, even with the clunky reservation AI at the start.
I wanted to take my wife somewhere nice and was recommended to try Fogo de Chao. Making reservations online was quick and easy through the restaurant website and when we arrived to check in for our reservation, we were quickly attended to and seated within 5 minutes of arriving. We also received a text informing us that our table was ready while we were on our way which I greatly appreciated. Once seated, our server came to greet us and explained the dining experience and various menus. The market bar was filled with so many delicious options although I left some room since I had heard the portions were big for the table side meat service; I was not disappointed by the generous serving sizes. Our server, Jarell, took the time to chat with us and ask if we were celebrating anything special and while our was still sometime off, he brought us out crème brûlé to celebrate anyway. Jarell was so thoughtful during our meal and made the experience so much better due to his attentiveness and prompt service. Thanks to the experience we had today, I will gladly come back for seconds in the near future.
We had an amazing experience at Fogo de Chão! The food was fantastic as always, but our waiter, Evan, truly made the night exceptional. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and personable. He was always checking in at the right times and making sure we had everything we needed. His great smile and positive energy made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Evan also gave excellent recommendations on drinks, food, and dessert every suggestion was spot on! It’s clear he takes real pride in his work and cares about his guests’ experience. Outstanding service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere. Huge thanks to Evan for making our night special we’ll definitely be back to request him!
Great service! Awesome verity of salads, and meats. They have a few levels for dinner options, which will determine the cuts you will get. The lowest option will give you apx. 7-8 (?) different options, where I found the bottom sirloin (pictured) the best - flavorful and tender. Chicken also had great smoky flavor, and the picania and sausage were also good. The pork chop was my least favorite cut. I’m sure going with the higher options, where you’ll get premium cuts like fillet and ribeye will add some satisfaction to your dinner, but with the additional premium obviously. You’ll do the math if it’s worth it… bottom line - a great dinner! Great service! Come hungry! And you’ll definitely come out satisfied!
We chose this popular Brazilian steakhouse to celebrate the visit of a family member from overseas. I was actually returning to this same location after quite a few years. Booking online was straightforward, through OpenTable. Getting a reservation is highly recommended, this restaurant gets very busy even for lunch/brunch. Located at Santana Row in San Jose, best is to park your car in one of the various garages. Free parking for the first 2 hours, then with a minimal hourly fee. The closest garage is less than 2-3 minutes away on foot. We arrived shortly after noon and were greeted by a welcoming staff. The steakhouse opens at 11:30am but was already very busy. Seated within minutes at a central table two rows away from the large salad bar. The main dining room is large with minimalistic decoration and dark lighting. Our friendly waitress handed over the menus with a wine list and explained the Churrasco and other options. We started with excellent cocktails (very affordable, other places take note!), before enjoying the typical appetizers and servings from the salad bar. Then it was time to start the main feast of the various cuts brought to the table. Chicken, pork, lamb, beef, sausages, grilled cheese to name a few. Excellent quality, well seasoned, very tasty and delicious. Most choices available as medium rare, medium, or well done depending on the cut. An endless stream of meat delicacies. Yummy! The servers were all attentive and very friendly. Our waitress checked on us several times. We spent almost 3 hours at a leisurely pace. What an enjoyable time. Highly recommended!

Louis was a great server! We had an amazing dining experience at Fogo de Chão thanks to Luis! From the moment we were seated, he made us feel welcome and truly taken care of. His attentiveness, professionalism, and warm personality elevated the entire experience. Luis was quick to anticipate our needs, always checking in at just the right time without being intrusive. He was knowledgeable about the menu, gave great recommendations, and made sure everything—from the cuts of meat to the sides and drinks—was perfect. What stood out most was his genuine hospitality; it felt like he really cared about making our evening special. If you’re dining at Fogo de Chão, ask for Luis—you won’t be disappointed. He’s a shining example of excellent service and made our visit unforgettable.
Celebrating a very important milestone with my partner, we decided to have a really nice, and intimate dinner at Fogo de Chão. To keep the review straightforward, the overall experience was great. Reserving a table online is definitely the way to go. Especially when the lines can get long, the convenience of saving your spot for your party online is worth it. The salad/ charcuterie bar was a great experience to start with. Afterwards, the chimichurri experience was great as well. The food was cooked to perfection and met all our expectations and standards when dinning at an establishment. A perfect way to celebrate our special day. Also, special thanks to Bryant, Teresa, and Brian for making our experience here extra memorable!
It is a very unique Brazilian restaurant. I really enjoyed the lunchtime salad buffet. It is not just simple fruits and vegetables. They are carefully cooked or prepared. In addition to eating them myself, whenever I had foreign friends visiting, I would bring them here, and I would get a lot of praise. This kind of delicate fruit and vegetable salad can evoke great memories. By the way, the environment and atmosphere here are also a great place to gather with friends. And their service staff are super friendly. I like them very much.
We had a very enjoyable experience at Fogo de Chão! The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a great atmosphere. We had two different servers. Our first server was mean and had a condescending attitude, but a huge shoutout to our second server Justin, who was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our meal—he really saved the day. The Brazilian cheese bread and the grilled cheese with honey are must-tries! The salad bar has a massive selection. My personal favorites were the caprese, the smoked salmon, and the various cheeses. For the main course, my friends and I went with the full churrasco experience. We stuck to the lamb chops and lamb picanha; the meat was tender, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection; you can’t beat the unlimited servings! The only downsides were the fruit options. I really wish they offered grilled pineapple along with the meats. Also, the papayas at the salad bar are always bitter, and the fresh pineapples are rarely good and very slow to be refilled. That said, the other desserts are delicious and made up for it. We paid about $90-100 per person with tip. Overall, a great spot for hungry meat lovers!
Fogo de Chão used to be one of our favorite high-quality restaurants in the Bay Area. We have many wonderful memories here and have been coming for almost nine years, so we chose this restaurant to celebrate our special day tonight around 7:00 PM. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. While the outdoor temperature was in the low 60s, the inside of the restaurant was unexpectedly very cold. We were not the only guests who felt this way—several diners complained about the temperature as wel, but the issue was never resolved throughout our meal. Because it was so cold inside, it was difficult to fully enjoy the warm Brazilian steakhouse experience we were looking forward to. In a restaurant that serves high-quality, premium-priced food, basic comfort like a comfortable indoor temperature should be part of the service. Guests have the right to receive proper service, and we also have the responsibility to share our concerns in hopes of improvement. We truly hope this issue will be addressed, as we would love to continue creating good memories here. Overall, over the years, little things have gone by the wayside, like the small plates for receiving different cuts, and multiple salad bar items. The first round of bread was stale and we didn’t even get some of the sides. Even the front of house were flippant and uncommunicative and the bathroom was an indication that costs are being cut. Fogo used to be an event but it really isn’t anymore and that’s a shame.
Since I was not able to create a separate review using my other Google account, I needed to use this to express how displeased I was yesterday and how I left feeling cheated. After 5 years since we had a bad experience here, me and my wife decided to give it another try on another important date of our lives, our anniversary (again). To our disbelief, we were recommended a bottle of wine on the menu — a 2021 Merlot (I’ve attached menu, picture of wine and bill for proof) — and served a 2023 wine without any prior information. When we asked for the menu and confirmed the discrepancy, we were offered a simple sorry. Nothing changed - no change in price as we are served a totally different wine, no offer to replace or anything really that helps with the inconvenience. To me this equates to knowingly serving the wrong wine. Moreover, charging customers the wrong price as these two wines are not priced the same. I really couldn’t believe what we had to endure on our anniversary — what a terrible experience it was however! Also why we will not return to this establishment — as we shouldn’t!!
