Myles, Alberto, Katie, Cheryl & Bridget are always attentive to our wine needs and wants :-) Another great lazy Saturday @ Vintage
Really enjoyed our flights and their helpful comments, really quiet, nice place for date night
Get the old vine zin from Lodi! Trust me, so complex and full
I love this place, my favorite place to have a flight of Champagne!
Friendly staff. Evolving wine menu. Indoor/outdoor seating.
Good wine and food plates. Friendly service. Nice location with an attractive patio.
Nice, cool, cozy, and chill. Great cocktails...not just the wine.
Nice atmosphere, great service and delicious wine.
Gr8 place good wine. Very comfortable!
Nice place, very good wines and service.
Large selection of wine options. I would love a zero proof options for those who are sober, but I haven't seen this elsewhere, just a suggestion. They don't have a ton of food options, but the options they have are good.
An unusually pretty building in the center of Santana Row with indoor bar seats or outdoor tables for wine tastjng, wines by the glass or bottle purchase along with light eats (love the brie as well as side of roasted tomatoes). The service is usually pleasant and depending on time of day and crowd can be super attentive to a bit slow. They are accomodating and generally knowledgable and will often introduce you to somethkng new or less common.
Very cute little place. Service was quick. Food menu was small but good. Prices is moderate. I'll come back
Enjoy your favorite wine desires, sitting in the outdoor patio & people watching. This is where i discovered a glass, maybe two, of a Cabernet from a Napa Valley winery, Round Pond. It was love at first taste!
Lovely atmosphere and amazing food and service. the weather in the area is pretty good too!
Love the choice of wines there
Good wine and food plates. Friendly service. Nice location with an attractive patio. Recommend
Great place the wine trios were perfect and we made sure that none was wasted. White Crispies was a great selection for me.
Excellent place to hang out with friends for the night. Good food and wine, great service! Thank you
Love this place ❣️ Good wine, great ambience and some of the most friendly, fun customer service in the South Bay!
Phenomenal pours, great lunch (soups and sandwiches are awesome), beautiful scenery and infinite people watching.
A very relaxing and wonderful spot, with a fine curated menu. If you can, come during the week and during the day so that Tracy can share her expertise and extraordinary hospitality and genuine cheer. That, plus fine wine, is a very worthwhile experience! So much of the staff is top class and a pleasure to be around and to know
I rarely say this about wine, but my glass of Riesling was delicious! Very crisp, sweet, and fresh.. no alcoholy after notes. The bartender was very sweet and upbeat and made just the right suggestions for us. I have to say the ambiance was also very quaint and soothing during the day as there is a soft running water fountain in back. Definitely coming back for a relaxing time out 😊
I have been a wine club member for 15 years, and I still love this place! The newly-remodeled wine bar in the center of Santana Row is comfortable and cozy. They have outdoor seating as well, but it was cold and rainy today. 😞 They now have an expanded food menu, and for $8 I got a toasted ham sandwich on a fresh baguette abd a handful of delicious black truffle potato chips. Delish! I usually hang out at their wine store across from the movie theater, but the wine bar is definitely going to be added to my rotation!
They've got several wine flight option, and great wines at that. They also have a modest selection of drinks for guests who don't prefer wine
Located centrally in the thick of it all, this is the perfect place to experience the Santana Row atmosphere! This spot has fun friendly staff drink flights to fit any preference and just the right amount of food options to pair. We tend to end up here almost every time we visit The Row.
What a delightful wine bar! The service was prompt and courteous, and the wine recommendations were spot-on. I was impressed by the quality of the wine selection, offering something for every palate. And the best part? It didn't burn a hole in my pocket. This wine bar is a fantastic combination of service, quality, and value. Cheers!
Vintage is actually two connected places in Santana Row. There’s a wine bar in the center and a retail store off to the side. I can’t review one without thinking of the other. The wine bar in the center is a must-visit. They have an extensive wine list and a more extensive hard liquor list. You won’t fully comprehend it on one visit, and you should definitely go back a few times. Our buddy Tracy at the wine bar is terrific. She’s extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. The food menu at the wine bar varies slightly over time, and is always good. Be sure to order truffle chips, they’re great, and pair with Cabernet amazingly well. The atmosphere in the wine bar is beautiful. And a quick shout out to the retail store: if you want something, they either have it or can get it. We think they are seriously hooked up with a distributor and have had no problem at all finding obscure bourbon or scotch that no one else has. It’s impressive. Oh yeah, they also serve cheese boards and charcuterie at the store. Check it out, you will not be disappointed.
My favorite place to people watch in Santana Row! The tastings are great with generous pours! You can’t go wrong with the meat and cheese board. Service is friendly but they can get pretty busy on weekends!
Always visit this bar when staying in the area. Since the pandemic they seem to have expanded their whisky selection. They do wine and whisky flights if you’re interested and food now too. Love the ambience in both summer outside and winter inside. Lovely place to get a pre-dinner drink.
Friendly staff, attentive, and good wine!
Great place to enjoy a few drinks (whine or whisky) with friends or for a date night! Staff is really knowledgeable about their drinks menu and they’re all super friendly. One of my favorite spots to hangout! Only thing I would change is their Pandora playlist. Most of the music doesn’t really match the vibe of the place. But other than that it’s definitely a favorite spot.
Amazing wine selection and ambiance! We love the variety of different flights they have and there is always something new to try. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, we love having this spot in the neighborhood!
Didn't get a chance to truly enjoy the actual wine selection, but nice little open air situation
This place is one of the best spots in the Bay Area to enjoy a well-curated wine selection and a delicious cheese and charcuterie board while people-watching and listening to the band next door—all in our favorite one-stop weekend hangout, Santana Row. We drive down to SR not just to shop or eat, but to drink—sometimes with friends, sometimes not—but always with our fur baby. The wine list is always full of great finds! Kudos to the sommelier (or whoever curates their wine list) for keeping the selection small but exceptional. We have our favorites that we go through quickly, and then we try new ones—which we often end up buying directly from the vineyard (when available) to stock up and enjoy a glass (or two) when we are home.
Vintage Wine Bar is absolutely charming! Suggest the California Fun-Shine flight. Shout out to Luna, service was amazing and made the experience even better. Great atmosphere, great vibe, and a perfect spot for a night out. Five stars all the way! 🍷✨
Such a lovely spot during the day or evening. Staff was very attentive and passionate. Fantastic wine selection. I had the Vintage flight and the chicken tarragon sandwich with chips for lunch. Highly suggest if you are new to wine and curious.
Beautiful outdoor patio and ambiance, with live music, perfect for enjoying their wine flights where you can try 3 popular wines and multiple flight options.
Cute little wine spot in the middle of Santana Row. Good selection of wine and whiskey flights, as well as a selection of charcuterie plates. Lots of outdoor seating. Nice place to go to enjoy some drinks and do some people watching in Santana Row.
This is a very atmospheric place on the whole Santana row. Highly recommend to visit. I visited more than ten thousands of restaurants and bars in my life and definitely can tell, this is one of my favorite places. Very polite staff members, beautiful and relaxing music and a good choice of wines 🍷. I tried almost everything in there. European union, Pink, Red set etc. Pick Caprese salad as the appetizer.
Service and food was exceptional. I didn’t want any meats with my cheeseboard and they customised it for me to suit my tastes. Also did full glasses of zinfandels and two cab savs just because, although I thought the flights were very well thought and curated and worth the buck.
Very cosy and nice wine bar. Early mornings or late evenings are so nice.
Friendly service, great selection of wine/spirits, and off the generic beaten path of Santana Row retail shops... Just the way I like it! With as much foot traffic as Santana Row normally gets, I like that it is sort of hidden. PRO TIP: Speak with Miles, he'll take great care of you.
This place is absolutely charming. And the wine is fantastic! Love the selection of wine flights and small bites. I’d hang out here all the time if I was a local.

Great little wine bar in SR. Wine flights are great but very expensive (not surprised given Santana row)
Nice spot for a drink and snack. Can get a bit loud, especially if you are next to speaker.
Super cute & chic wine bar. We couldnt get enough of the atmosphere, people watching, and brie & honey plate
Great date area. Outdoor seating is fun at night with the lights and greenery. Occasional dancing in the area.
Not a huge selection, but a good one. Mid to high end wines. Prices are not cheap, but reasonable. Friendly staff.
Good ambiance, right in the middle of everything so you get a nice view of all of Santana Row. Good music too. Definitely a date spot. The hosts were attentive and friendly. Large whiskey selection which I wasn’t expecting.
Nice place to hang out when your partner is at the spa or shopping. The wine flights are excellently selected. Outdoor seating area is well-shaded but gives you a view of the street action.
Vintage Wine Bar at Santana Row is a great place to stop for a drink and a bite when you’re in the area. It’s a nice spot to relax and people-watch, especially when the weather is good. They have a good selection of wines, and I enjoyed a nice rosé on a warm winter day, which was perfect. The food and wine make it an easy, casual place to drop in while walking around Santana Row. Service was okay — nothing exceptional, but it got the job done. Overall, a solid option if you’re looking for a laid-back wine bar in a convenient location. 🍷
Cozy spot, but be mindful of the noise! It’s a small and cozy place with both indoor and outdoor seating. Since it was raining, my friend and I chose to sit indoors. Initially, it was perfect — quiet and relaxing. A couple of tables were occupied by two people, and everything seemed peaceful. Then four guys walked in, and it completely changed the atmosphere. It got incredibly loud to the point where I couldn’t even hear myself talk. I had to raise my voice so my friend could hear me, which definitely ruined the cozy vibe we were hoping for. Tip: If you choose to sit inside, make sure the space isn’t filled with loud groups. Other than that, the food was good, the wine was delicious, and the servers were very friendly and polite. Worth a visit, just be mindful of the noise level! 🍷
Enjoyed their wine flights; Rose & Red. They carry California wines and major European countries wine. Not a huge menu tho. They also have a store if you wanna buy bottles - just around the corner. We sat outside patio and their standing heaters kept us warm throughout. Atmosphere wise, it was so pretty with the Christmas lights and decorations. This place is good for hanging out and small gathering, recommend!
+ Cute atmospheric spot on Santana row + Nice selection of well priced wine and wiskey flights + Extensive menu! +/- Kinda cold at night before they turn on the heaters. Your preference may vary. - There was a weird sewage smell wafting around while I was there. Definitely not from the shop, but maybe due to a nearby vent.

We had a girls night out here (on a Thur) about 13 girls... Service was terribly slow, waiter took forever to stop by and took even longer for refills.
Was expecting more flight choices but all n all it was ok snack was tasty
Wonderful place for a date. They serve you right away. Waitress was fresh out of high-school though. Not educated about wine. Other than that, the place was excellent.
Great service! All seating is outside. There is a good selection of wine and whisky from around the world. Skip the charcuterie.
Used to love having wine here before the pandemic. Since covid the whole experience is different. Many places are welcoming and happy to serve you. Here staff are borderline rude. Order you to "follow me", drop a menu in front of you with no explanation and leave for a while. They are not welcoming at all. This is my third time and the experience is still the same.
Used to frequent the outdoor wine bar often during warm weather afternoon/nights. I loved the laid back and relaxing vibe, especially at night when they have gentle mood lighting. They have rotating wine flights every so often, so I appreciate the varietal (shout out to the Funday Cabby Funday flight!). However, the quality of their flights hasn't been great the last 2 times I visited, but YMMV. Service - Usually a hit or miss. You don't have a designated waiter and just flag someone down. They usually don't refill your water unless you ask them. Overall, they mainly take your order and leave you alone until asked. Checkout - The problem I have is with paying. They come to your table with a remote device to collect your payment via card. They don't show you the itemized receipt, but your total instead. Then, the device has tipping options starting from (IIRC) 25%, listed left to right. I felt like that was deceptive and didn't appreciate that as the first tipping option based on the service received. In addition, it should be noted that they add on a 4% surcharge (previously 3%) to your order (see menu fine print). It's also unclear what the "support employee initiatives" surcharge means, which feels like a blanket term for anything. So if you don't read the fine print, you could be over-tipping. Overall, come for the vibes, but don't be surprised when you see the bill.
For a while, the staff was not that great but they’ve got a lot of new people that has been coming back. It’s not a place how ago solely to eat but the food that they do offer a simple and it’s very enjoyable. They have a good selection of wine and beer. They don’t have spirits at the bar anymore One of the owners is insistent on playing loud EDM music all day long even on quiet Saturday and Sunday afternoon. For me this really ruins the atmosphere sometimes. If you’re going with other people and you’re gonna have fairly loud conversations is fine. But if you’re trying to have a normal volume conversation, one on one with someone, or just to enjoy a drink by yourself or God forbid read it’s not really practical. The music is obnoxious. There’s already lots of ambient noise, such as a fountain that is in the seating area, car noise, music from nearby venues, and just other ambient noise. I would spend a lot more time there if it wasn’t for the music.
I had the pleasure of going to the vintage wine bar on my actual birthday which was 11/28. Firstly I understand there are rules employees and managers have to follow. We had a small request for separate checks and were advised it is not possible which we understood. However the manager on duty had the most rudest attitude which really made us feel awkward. I was thinking of buying bottles yet the way she communicated was disrespectful. Atleast she could have said happy birthday and politely explained the rules but she literally brushed us off with a NO!! If a manager has to represent an upscale bar atleast have a calm attitude and be friendly. We later went to vintage wine merchant and were treated with so much respect and the amazing ladies wished me happy birthday and provided the best customer service. Prior to going I became a member and I am Looking forward to seeing these amazing ladies every month!!

Such a bad customer experience! The product was alright, decent selections but there was no welcoming treatment from the servers. Waited endlessly to order as well as forced to quickly finish the drinks
I'm basing my review off of memory, it's in a nice venue and the drink selections are good. Too bad I couldn't order anything this last time. The wait staff didn't come by for over 10 minutes and were too busy talking to one another and petting dogs to notice us waving at them. Maybe I should've screamed for attention but I didn't want to disturb their fun
The wine was lovely and the atmosphere was energetic but the service was surprisingly abhorrent. They completely neglected our table. I had to ask four times for water for our table and was told by the staff in an irritated tone to wait. I even brought my water cups to the front to just get some water and they told me to sit down. They neglected our table for some reason and we had to usually wave someone down just to get another order. We sat there for 2+ hours and we had to search the area for anyone to give us our check. Even after we paid it took the staff a long time to return to us. When we arrived it wasn’t that busy so I didn’t understand why the staff was taking so long. It seemed a bit disorganized. Additionally the staff seemed stressed/irritated. It may have been an off night for them, but unfortunately I will not be returning given my experience.
The staff ignores you. The place was almost empty, but the staff was no where to be seen outside. Instead they were chit chatting inside. I had to get up to order my food, ask for water and finally to get the check. When I left a low tip (which I rarely do that) the waitress finally came out to stare at me when I was leaving. I paid $26.00 for a glass of champagne for a 1/2 full glass. I was so bummed and I know that company is hurting, but they don't change the staff.

I went last night & was racially profiled and asked to leave. My 2 cousins and I were the only black people there. This is my first time in San Jose & what a welcoming it was. The supposed manager, “Desiree”, was very unpleasant from the beginning and eventually told us to leave, after we’d already placed orders. I guess as a black person in San Jose, we have no right to expect decent customer service, I just can’t believe an establishment to this caliber can allow this type of racism take place. Thank you to our kind waitress, Sonia who tried to give us a great experience.
Service was fine. Red wines , very poor choices on the menu. Had to go through 4 before finding one that was even passable. Skip it
Very disappointed in the lack of service. When one of the servers, to her credit, asked for someone to come over and help us, the other two gave excusses for how busy they were (standing behind the empty bar cleaning glasses). I urge all readers to check out some of the other bars in the area first.
Staff just okay got a glass off wine glass was chipped told server said that’s okay would not go back not very puncture either on service
We don't believe they gave us what we ordered. The Big Napa was not even close to what we thought it should be. And the wait staff was not willing to even talk about it. We will never go back.
Nice place. The food and the wine are good (but not exceptional). The service is terrible (maybe it’s because it was a Friday evening but even more). We ordered one tasting and 2 plates. We waited 45 minutes and after this time we were brought a wrong plate because one that we ordered was just unavailable (why not telling us 5 minutes after ordering?). Then when we asked for the check, we waited 10 more minutes when we realized our waitress left for her break. Poor service for an expensive service. If you want to copy a French ambiance, do it well including the service.
Avoid this place. Paper tastes better than their food , wine selection meh, the only thing it has going for it is the environment but even then it is a downgrade bc of service. Food: we got 4 different things on the menu. All supremely basic. It feels like they went to the grocery store and put it on a plate. The mozzarella and tomato was bland. The roast beef warm but from a bag meat not even from a food deli counter. The dessert was a LITERAL chocolate bar in a cellophane bag! Wine: they had a page of options for by the glass but very very little variety. Everything was as basic as Riesling or a Prosecco. No Cava or really anything you wouldn’t get at the discount section of BevMo. Lame Service: Two waitresses. Ours needed to be waved down w both my arms in the air a la windmill. Oh and the owner was there. Watching. He did nothing to improve matters. Environment. Pretty place. So much potential. On a 50 degree day the same owner refused to turn on the outside heaters. EVENTHOUGH Jardín right next to it had theirs on. It was cold. And we weren’t allowed to sit inside.
Lots of staff were crammed into the tiny entry. No one person acknowledged me, so I I said "excuse me do you serve food here?"( They had no menu outside) one of the staff said we have bites and I said may I see a menu? Another of the staff handed me the menu without a word, I smiled in thanks and she just turned around. That should have been enough red flags that I'd walk away.... vibe was off. I asked out loud after standing there for a minute with the menu closed, I ask if I should just go grab a table. A very bored and no eye contact making young waitress gestured me and walked to the first table outside the door. The place is practically empty, never asked do you have a preference? A different staff member took my order. Was friendly, a nice change. I sat for a while wondering why it would take so long for a simple bread and cheese app. I saw a couple get seated and what seems like second later, they got the exact app I ordered. I thought nah, no way. This place is not busy at all, no way that bored unfriendly waiter who seated me could make a mistake with so few customers there. Yeah she actually did. I could have let that go, if the same indifferent waitress hadn't delivered the plate without a word, plopping it down and walking away. No "can we get you anything else....or sorry for the delay". That was it for me. It made no sense to me for someone to behave that way. Especially at a place that adds 4% surcharge to your order for staff needs. This is not a tip. They also ask for a tip. I got up and asked if a manager could come to my table. The woman with pink in her hair (manager) and a very tired and unhappy face said that she had spoken to that employee before about the demeanor. That the plate mix up was common. I said I'm not asking for a smiley person, just common practice in good service, not rudeness and lack of care. She gave what felt like a very fake apology to me. After that several waiters asked how I was doing as they passed by. Suddenly I was alive and worthy of attention as a customer. The waiter who took my order apologized. I still tipped her. The food is just meh. It's more about drinks there. I will never go back because this place FAILED THE VIBE CHECK
Terrible service, we were waiting very long for the waitress to tell us one of the items we ordered was unavailable and bring us a random thing instead (???). We would still have to pay for the random thing (???). The wine flight was really not a great selection. The food item that was actually available was ok. Also, the waitress LEFT before we could order our check and nobody else came to check on us, even after we waited 15 minutes after asking someone else for the check. Terrible. Not coming back, would not recommend.
(Addressing Owner/Management) Title: Disappointing Experience at Vintage Wine Bar — Request for Management Review Dear Owner/Management of Vintage Wine Bar, I’m writing to share a disappointing experience we had at your restaurant on Saturday, November 1, with my wife, my mother-in-law (visiting from Spain), and my five-year-old son. We were met by a manager who exhibited a very negative attitude and, at times, behavior that felt discriminatory. Here is what happened: We requested a table and were shown several options. When a lounge area became available, we asked to move there to accommodate our family. After ordering several tastings and a bottle for the table, we were told to move because another party had a reservation they needed to fulfill. Shortly after, we were asked to leave the restaurant, which felt abrupt and unfair, especially given our bill was well over $300 for the visit. The overall experience left us feeling unwelcome, rushed, and uncomfortable, with the impression of biased treatment toward our family. What could have improved the experience: Clear, respectful communication regarding seating and policies. Consistent service that doesn’t shift once a guest has ordered and is spending money. Professionalism and sensitivity from management toward guests who are traveling or hosting family. We understand that reservations and table turnover are part of running a restaurant, but the way this situation was handled was not appropriate. I hope you’ll take this feedback seriously and ensure all guests are treated with courtesy and fairness, regardless of party size. Would you consider reviewing staff training and guest experience standards to prevent a recurrence? Our intention was to enjoy an evening with family, and this experience did not meet those expectations. Sincerely, Francisco Quintero
Went here last weekend for some pre-dinner drinks and left after no one bothered to take our orders. We were seated outside and could see the staff chatting inside while we waited for over 20 mins for someone to attend to us. After a few more people came in, a lady shows up and starts taking orders from the tables around us and goes back inside ignoring us even though she noticed that we hadn’t ordered anything. We didn’t want to waste more time and any money here so just walked out. Do yourself and your wallet a favor and skip this place.
Not sure if owner look at the review at all. I used to love this place but the staff needs to be re-trained. Sit down for 15 minutes with no one taking order or even serving water. It will definitely make people not coming back again
