We catered food from Suggi Oota for a house warming and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. Everyone was only talking about the food and raving about it’s authentic, homemade taste. The menu is fixed for the day but they are willing to make small changes to accommodate your requests. The pricing is per plate and it felt reasonable for the quantity and quality of the food provided. If you ever have that South Indian, Karnataka food craving, call Suggi Oota and you won’t be disappointed. And always get the holiges, they are just yummmmy!

We got to try jolada rotti oota from Suggi oota today. Food was delicious, fresh & nutritious, tasted like home made food. We were happy with the quality. Food was cleanly packed in a sustainable eco friendly food packaging. Placing order was daunting at first. Go to their website & read instructions carefully. Their menu is different everyday, so make sure you read what you are getting for the day. The pick up was at this place near airport where there's a lot of warehouse & offices. It looked like a cloud kitchen of sorts, a lot of people were waiting for their food (from other businesses) They have a couple of chairs & benches to eat if you are very hungry. It looked confusing at first but there was a small sign from Suggi Oota to give them a call letting them know that you are there to pick up food.

We took the services of Suggi Oota, Sunnyvale, San Jose, CA for our daughter's wedding in ICC, Milpitas, CA. Suggi Oota,Sunnyvale, served tasty breakfast and Hearty Lunch for nearly 100 guests on that day. The quality, taste and variety of food, both times, were beyond description that they earned 5 / 5 rating from all the invitees to the wedding. A rarest of rare caterer in the San Jose part of CA, U.S.

We ordered catering for lunch from Suggi Oota for our house warming ceremony and the food was incredible. Ranjini is extremely hands on and we discussed at lengths about our interests (Karnataka food) and suggested a few amazing options. She also had another event on the same day and our interests were quite different. She was still very supportive from the beginning and made it happen! We had ordered Bisi Bele Bath, Methi Chapathi, Veg korma/saagu, Ambode, Corn kosambari (salad), Majjige huli, Holige, Jamoon and Shikarne. We also had a requirement to prepare food without garlic and Ranjini was extremely accommodating and overall was a very smooth process. The quality of food is definitely unmatched. It felt like home food and was extremely delicious. Everything was freshly made on the same day and tasted delicious. Food was definitely the highlight of our event!

Good food. We ordered from the parking lot of the pickup place and it was ready ~25 mins for pickup. It did not come with spoons and forks so we have to go home to eat it. The food was tasty. Loved the avial/saagu palya. The mixed bath was pretty Spivey for us but it comes with raitha so that worked out. The jaggery payisa/sweet was also very tasty. We could not choose individual items we just ordered 3 of their combo boxes.

We ordered catering for a function from Suggi Oota last week, and she did a wonderful job without adding onions or garlic. We had a sufficient amount of food. I told her to make it a customized order with less spice and no onions or garlic, and it was perfect! I highly recommend her service, especially for events and functions. Everything was packed neatly, and it was still hot by the time we served it. :)

Delicious fresh food! Authentic Indian flavor including spice. I lived in mysore for a bit and it brought back good memories of the food there. Stopped hear after dropping off someone at the airport, and I was looking for an inexpensive and healthy lunch to enjoy. This fit the bill great with responsive and good service.

We've been regulars at Suggi Oota for a while now and we absolutely love the taste. We recently catered from her for a Sankranthi event and she had an elaborate Sankranthi special north karnataka based menu. Each of the dishes were absolutely amazing and quite authentic. And the quantity of the food exceeded our expectations. Our guests happily took a lot of food home after the event. Since the sunnyvale location opened up recently, we get their gran-n-go combo meals on a weekly basis as it is very convenient and tastes wonderful.

We regularly order food from Suggi oota and have also tasted their catered meals at private parties in the bay area. Karnataka food isn't the easiest to find around here, but Suggi oota is hands down the best I've had. True to the name, the food is absolutely festive. The rice item + chapathi-sabji menu on weekdays are delicious and have a home cooked taste. Special mention to their spicing that hits all the right notes on my palette. There's good variety in the weekly menu, the portion sizes are great and the pricing seems fair (esp in the post-covid era). The only (non) complaint I have is I wish they had a sit down place to complete the sense of nostalgia and cultural immersion. I hope they open one soon! :) The food is all vegetarian, but I would gladly recommend it even to my non-vegetarian friends!

Suggi Oota is one of best place for vegetarian food. Shiva takes care of every meal served as serving to a family member at home. Now i know reason it is 5 star rating. Very few restaurants maintain the consistency of food be in quality, quantity and hygiene. I definitely recommend people to try the food from here. I placed order of Thursday meal: it came with good portion of 2 curries, 2 chapati, rice, complementary bread. Like i said quantity and quality is perfect and feels like home food. We had ordered food for a house warming function from Suggi Oota. The food was cleanly packed and ready for pickup on time. It was just as we expected, Authentic Karnataka food - tasty and yummy. Kosambari, Sambar, rice, vaangibhaath, poori & saagu, buttermilk, ambode, holige and mango shikarni. All the items were great and everyone enjoyed the food.

We are so happy with Soogioota as the food is absolutely delicious! We are from Bangalore and are really fond of South Indian based food. We had been to our friend’s baby shower and had Soogioota’s obbabu, kosambari, tamarind rice, chapati curry, and rasam ! It was delicious! So we decided to have her cater to our son’s birthday party as well, but I wanted something different for us, since it’s a birthday party. We wanted to try North Indian dishes with a cheesy appetizer for kids! Ranjini was ready to make anything for us! We asked for corn croquettes, veg peshwari, panner biriyani! All our guests loved the food, every one of our guests expressed how great the food tasted and even took some food back home. Before the event, I really had a tough time trying to decide which restaurant and what type of food to choose for my son’s birthday. I’m glad our friend referred this place! The caterer was so personable and really helped me decide a menu that suits our theme and guests, although I reached out just a week before the event, she was ready to make any dish of my choice, north Indian , South Indian , Chinese , Italian, Chaats , snacks, anything you name! I’m really glad with the service. Perfect home cooked meal for any occasion. We will continue to order from Soogioota for all of our little parties and events.

Today, I tried suggi oota's newest item in their menu Masala Puri and would like to review it. Masala Puri is my fav snack and have tried out in more than 100+ places back in India and was excited to try it out immediately when suggi oota introduced it. Masala puri tasted really good and the aroma was pretty amazing as well. The portion size was good and felt the puris were crispy. Felt at 14$ per plate its overpriced. I will definitely order though, since it's my favorite snack.

The whole experience of ordering for catering was so smooth. When you speak to Ranjini you can feel the passion she has towards food. I called her a week before my event to order Karnataka food for about 45 people. She was so cooperative in deciding the menu and gave such amazing options. So impressed with the quality of the food. We had our friends parents visiting from Bangalore and they felt the food was exactly like what one would find in Karnataka. It’s really hard to pick one item as the best☺️☺️ everyone loved her appetizers Mirchi Bhajji and ambode, ghee rice was just too good with kurma. The methi chapathi was so good all my friends asked for extra servings to take home. What surprised me most was her sambhar. Generally with such catering orders people just give an ordinary sambhar, but Ranjini made the Sambhar with drumstick and all other veggies and you can feel as if it was made by someone’a mom. For desserts we ordered godhi payasa and dry gulab jamun. I am not a big fan of dry gulab jamun here in Bay Area but the one made by Ranjini was so good !! We hardly had anything left over. The godhi pyasa is just like what you would eat in Karnataka temples. What impressed me was the quality of the ingredients she used and went an extra mile to make the appetizers just before our order pickup so that people can enjoy it while it’s hot. I am so glad Ranjini decided to open suggi oota so that other people can enjoy her cooking as well. This is a cloud kitchen setup where you can order food before hand and pick it up from their brick and mortar kitchen. For the weekday you can order the day before and collect it on the given weekday. Monday is a holiday. There is a special meal on Saturday. Sunday of only brunch. The menu varies on a daily basis. The menu varies based on odd and even week basis. For the Saturday dinner, the reservation opens from Wednesday onwards. The cuisine is primarily Karnataka based cuisine. We ordered the Saturday dinner. It has plain rice, tamarind rice, masala vada, buttermilk, mango pulp drink, sweet puranpoli, kosambari(salad of carrot and urad dal), moong dal sprout curry. The food was really tasty and was balanced in flavor. It was like a really well home cooked meal. This is one of the only places where you can get a good Karnataka based meal. I certainly recommend this for all people to taste it. We are surely planning to try out next Saturday for the North Karnataka meal with the Jowar roti and thethe accompaniments.

But Ranjini had a larger catering order with a different fusion menu. The menu included Bean Burger and bbq corn tarts for starters. American Chop Suey, Beetroot roti with lotus root curry and fried rice with tofu for main course. Dessert was beetroot halwa with almond nut cream. We were not sure if everyone would like the items but we trusted Ranjini. She was very sweet and answered all of our questions and accommodated our request to keep the food ready by 12.30 PM. The food in itself was just too good. From fresh, crispy bean burger patty to the finely diced vegetables in fried rice, everything was perfection. The lotus root curry was a hit. Beetroot halwa turned out to be better than carrot halwa. The usually neglected fried rice was empty. Almost all the guests asked for the Suggi Oota’s contact. The best part is how we felt the next day. We did not feel like we had a heavy lunch, masala was apt and there wasn’t any food color residue on my fingers that I noticed. I think Ranjini loves to cook, there was no other explanation for the excellency she dished out.

Every catering offers easy options like Paneer Curry, Dal tadka.. So I decided that if there is function at my home it should be our food from Karnataka. I wanted catering from Suggi Oota so badly that I was ready to adjust with anything. Ranjini also cooperated well with our menu and timings. The food was ready at the right time to pick it up. Holige was too good! Everyone liked the Sambar. Chitranna, Masala Vade, Sagu, Chapathi, Hesarulkaalu playa, Kosambri, Happla and pickle were equally good. Ranjini loves what she's is doing. Highly recommend her for south Indian catering in the bay area.

Suggi Oota is one of best place for vegetarian food. Shiva takes care of every meal served as serving to a family member at home. Now i know reason it is 5 star rating. Very few restaurants maintain the consistency of food be in quality, quantity and hygiene. I definitely recommend people to try the food from here. I placed order of Thursday meal: it came with good portion of 2 curries, 2 chapati, rice, complementary bread. Like i said quantity and quality is perfect and feels like home food. We had ordered food for a house warming function from Suggi Oota. The food was cleanly packed and ready for pickup on time. It was just as we expected, Authentic Karnataka food - tasty and yummy. Kosambari, Sambar, rice, vaangibhaath, poori & saagu, buttermilk, ambode, holige and mango shikarni. All the items were great and everyone enjoyed the food.
