Everything here is absolutely wonderful! The food, the decor, the aptmosphere, and the service are all amazing! All the decor is very original and authentic. I absolutely love it. I have no complaints whatsoever. Sushi Masha is a beautiful restaurant with the best sushi I have ever tasted (I have tried loads of different sushi.) 5 stars! Well, actually, there is one little tweak that could be made, but I still love this place. For the sushi rolls, I don't believe they use sushi rice, but honestly, if you don't put in too much vinegar and sugar anyways, it is really hard to tell a difference.
Great sushi with even better customer service. They treat us like family whenever we go, as far as handling little things like a small cup of ice to help coop down the Miso Soup for my daughter. Without needing to ask for it. They think about their patrons and do their best to make you feel welcome. On top of this, their sushi is always fresh and tastes better than some other highly frequented establishments.
BEST SASHIMI I EVER HAD IN CALIFORNIA- no kidding!! The fish was so fresh and thick, you could tell the different type of fish from their texture and flavor. The vibe was also good- made me think of small restaurants in Japan. Spent $40+ per person but that was okay for me (never eat low-price sashimi because those could be very unclean and cause trouble). Will definitely revisit!
The staff here are so personable and the atmosphere is just so relaxing and friendly. Everyone is all smiles and it makes dining here that much more amazing. The food and drinks are so good and the prices are super low without the quality going down. My brother and I have been here twice already and we're definitely coming back
I love this place! We go all the time, they always take care of us. They explain the menu well, and always make great recommendations. My husband likes trying new, different appetizers and hasn't been disappointed yet!
I cannot speak highly enough of this place. I've eaten sushi in some of the best sushi restaurants around the world, and this place is seriously just better. Service is exceptional. The decor takes some getting used to, and might not be everyone's favorite. But it's authentic and real. I love it. Don't bring someone here to impress them with fancy decor and irritatingly professional staff. But if you want the best food and service you can buy, this place is about as good as you can get.
Great food and service, best Japanese food I’ve ever had. Atmosphere was a little tacky but overall very nice. This is going to be my go to spot!
A good adventure! They have a very broad menu much more than I could possibly understand. The food was nice and Fresh what a beautiful presentation, the staff was swift and pleasant. The restaurant has a very neat architecture it was an adventure of its own.
Great little place, fresh sushi, amazing appetizers. Very good workers. Chefs are top notch. Very cozy little spot, kept very clean. Come here to feel cozy and eat delicious food served and cooked by good people.
Absolute best sushi place. Creative menu with amazing value. Great service and staff. Go-to for dining out and take out for sushi! We love it and go there for all of our sushi needs!
From start to finish, I had a lovely experience! As soon as my cousin and I walked in we got greeted and helped right away. The restaurant itself is very cute and cozy inside and you can tell they maintain it. There are different seating areas sectioned throughout the restaurant. Each area had its own charm to it! Would’ve been super happy wherever we had to sit lol. All employees at the restaurant were super friendly and kind and attentive. The food not only came out fast but the quality was great! One of the best places I’ve had chicken Katsu. I know I’m basic for getting Katsu but because I’m basic and I’ve tried it at so many places, I personally think it’s fair to say it was one of the best. Lol moist inside, perfectly flakey panko outside and the rice they served it with was shaped like a heart. I thought that was the cutest touch lol. Anyways this is my 3rd review ever and I really feel like this restaurant deserves some positive feedback for their spectacular service. Not going to lie I can be picky but this place left me feeling satisfied and happy to tell others about it! 🤗 100% try it!
I recently visited a sushi restaurant that blew me away with their delicious sushi and sashimi offerings. What stood out to me the most was the quality of the ingredients - you could tell that they were using only the freshest fish and other toppings. The sushi itself was beautifully presented, with big chunks of fish on top that made every bite feel like a real treat. If you're a sushi lover like me, I definitely recommend giving this restaurant a try - you won't be disappointed!
We love that Sushi Masa has a happy hour menu now! We’ve tried all of the rolls and our favorites are the spicy yellowtail, the double crunchy and the tempura shrimp. The spring roll and edamame are also favorites as well. Lily has been our server/bartender for several of our visits and she is the best! The restaurant has an all you can eat lunch or dinner special, but this happy hour menu provides us with just the right amount of food.
I love this place. The owner is always super friendly, like a best friend. They always give us a warm welcome. I feel cozy and relaxed whenever I walk in — it’s not fancy or modern, but it has a charming old-school, homey atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The fried squid and chicken are crispy outside and tender inside — absolutely delicious. The omakase sashimi is fresh and perfect for trying a nice variety, especially with the fresh wasabi. The nigiri sushi has just the right amount of rice for me and tastes amazing. I was too busy eating to take photos, but the kimchi udon is the perfect dish to finish the meal. And the matcha ice cream… you end up finishing every last spoonful!
Sushi Masa is an absolute must in Campbell!!! The restaurant has a warm, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home the moment you walk in. The sushi is no doubt the best in town, in my very demanding taste, and some of the best in the Bay Area. Every roll is fresh and flavorful, but the Ninja Roll is the real standout, don’t leave without trying it! The service is exceptional. The lady who helped us was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as kind. Sushi Masa truly feels like a little piece of Japan in Campbell.
We had a fantastic sushi experience. Definitely recommend. The place had a great atmosphere, lots of parking, within the restaurant. They had a lot of cool different areas which I assumed you could reserve if you wanted a special spot. The sushi bar looked really fun to sit at, we ended up sitting at a table cuz it was four of us. Great service, attentive staff, the menu was huge and had a vared amount of vegetarian options as well. Most rolls were 17$ and up so it's not a cheap sushi place. Meals were 20$ and up.
Love this place. I've been going here for years now since i first found it. Staff is great, friendly, and attentive. Great selection of appetizers, rolls, and main dishes. Good portion sizes.
Definitely one of my top 5 Japanese restaurants in San Jose! After being stationed in Japan for two years I miss and crave the authenticity of Japanese culture & Sushi Masa definitely delivers. The food is delicious, a great sake variety, the staff is all very kind and warm and friendly! You get greeted as soon as you walk in by all the staff and thanked the same way before leaving which is something else I miss from the country. The decor makes me feel like I'm back at my local restaurant in town in Okinawa. Faith was an excellent server! We will be back soon!
I had some really delicious Japanese food, and the draft beer was ice-cold and refreshing.
definitely one of those hole in the wall places, inside vibes are awesome w the Japanese style architecture. Staff were super friendly and food immaculate :)
I was blown away by the flavors and quality of the food I received. My lunch special didn't feel slapped together or rushed. I really enjoyed my meal and my hot green tea. I will return again! The heart shaped rice was a unexpected surprise that made me smile.
Food was delicious and all the servers were very friendly. We loved the poki nachos, fresh sushi and rolls. We can't wait to go back!

Amazingly cold beer and unexpectedly great sushi. I just stumbled onto this restaurant with friends and sushi was spot on. Other food (katsu curry, chicken karaage, shioyaki, rolls, udon, etc) were also great but I usually order nigiri. Ingredients were always fresh but sushi has gotten even better lately.
I can't begin to boast about how much I LOVE Sushi Masa. And it's not just me, my WHOLE family! I've gone there for about 5 years and will never stop. The second you enter the doors the vibes are warming and welcoming. The good has never been a disappointment. The staff is above to notch.
Had a great meal at sushi masa tonight. The food was great, service was great, we really enjoyed the atmosphere. We will definitely visit again
Sushi Masa never disappoints! Fresh fish, generous portions, and great prices. The staff are friendly, and the service is quick. Easily one of the best sushi spots around San Jose — especially for the quality you get.

My wife and I visit this location somewhat often. This location serves delicious food and the staff here is great. The Yakitori is my go-to every time!
Very friendly! Fish was very good, liked the Anago very much
Delicious food! Very friendly staff, but probably understaffed but when I was there, service was good. 😊👍🏻 Will definitely be back. Cute little restaurant with interesting decor.

This is an authentic true Japanese sushi spot. Casual, comfortable, and easy. Menu is more expansive and varied than you will find in a run-of-the-mill sushi spot. The staff is very hospitable and welcoming. They offer a happy hour if you want to get an early start. The decor is subdued and perhaps dated but I appreciate the Japanese touch in their decor.

Rice was cold, but the fish was fresh. Definitely not a 4.6 star sushi. They also used imitation crab on the California rolls which is little too thrifty. Portions were small and definitely not a 4 star taste. Prices were on the high side for similar quality.
Service was satisfactory. Food wasn’t! Tempura udon, only one shrimp. Salmon teriyaki was not what we expected. Very dry and overcooked with a slice of orange not lemon! Sanraku at Oakridge Mall is so much better!
Pros: spacious, you have the choice of table or floor seating, food is good, drink size is good Cons: there is one server (a tall guy) that is always rushing customers and each time has made everyone in the group uncomfortable by not giving enough time to choose and order and buy rushing us to finish food! some servers are not very attentive, food size is on the small side, fried ice cream is not 4 pieces; it’s one fried ice cream cut into 4 pieces!

The salmon skin hand roll was bland, and the sweet shrimp wasn’t very sweet. I told them to take the sweet shrimp off the order because it looked underwhelming and droopy. In my opinion, it didn’t really seem worth the price they were charging for it. I mean, if I am paying market price for some shrimp it better not look droopy and watery. They wouldn’t even refund me for this mistake and are being stingy. Some pros: The spicy tuna rolls were good. Some cons: Expensive, poor/lack of service, likes ripping people off. Final thoughts: I don’t recommend this place, and won’t be back.
Pros: The food really tasty! Cons: Teenie tiny food portions, servers are not attentive! After spending over $40 for entrée, I am hungry! Desserts were unevenly portioned big and small ice cream that was explained to us, small ones come with the meal hence they are small portions and the bigger portions are the ones we paid which costs $4/each (must have costs no more than 40¢ and paid their server maybe $1 to put it into little bowls, which they should really consider if it is worth it to make their customers feel Sushi Masa is stingy portions restaurant but not that great)!
Staff and environment were good. Food was unpleasant and unpalatable. We ordered the "love boat B": The unagi was delicious, and the tuna and salmon were okay. But the other nigiri was extremely unpleasant. All the cuts on the nigiri had an old fishy smell, two piece tasted as if someone handled it with paint thinner, and another piece made me feel like puking 10 minutes later. Additionally, the fish slices were cut in a way so that there was a tremendous amount of connective tissue, it felt like chewing floss. I'm sure their other items are good, but avoid the raw fish. We paid $71 for the food and drinks.

Upon entering the place we could tell there was not enough fresh air circulation. The place had a slight musty smell. We ordered a common combination plate. It took about 5 minutes to bring the first course of salad. Then it took another five minutes to bring the miso soup. After another 30 minutes we still did not have our food. We asked and found that our food had not even been entered. Others who came in after us Got Served. Their delay for food was similar to our initial wait. I would not recommend this place.
First the good news. Sushi Masa has a really delightfully decorated interior. The waitstaff is approachable and competent. The food is good. The not so good is that the rear dining room is redolent with the unmistakable pungent aroma of intestinal gas produced by the lactose intolerant. It is eye-wateringly stinky. If Sushi Masa had a working ventilation system, it would be a very welcome addition to our choice of local eateries. As it is though, I have to say 'no, thank you'.
I'd give it no stars!!! Because I didn't even get to try/dine this place!! I walk in, immediately the owner/guy starts yelling at me "closed"! I try to ask a question; but, he just keeps yelling at me. He kept-on interrupting me & didn't want to hear my question. Next he shooshes me out the front door, very confrontational like. He keeps watching me walk to the next eatery & then to the parking lot; trying to intimidate me! I am NOT going back!! nor would I recommend this place!!!
Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience. The food itself was just okay, but the service was very poor — our dishes took an unusually long time to arrive even though the restaurant was nearly empty. For the high prices, I expected much better. The space is extremely outdated, and the booth we were seated in was mostly ripped and literally covered with T-shirts, which was honestly pretty gross. The whole place had an unpleasant smell as well. Overall, it just didn’t feel clean or well cared for. Definitely not planning to return.
