Perfect pit stop if you are looking for Thai food. Went with my friends and ordered Noodles, Fried Rice and curry. The "green curry" was amazing. The staff was very nice as well.

Our go-to place for Thai food! Lunch special is fairly good price and comes with rice and soup (noodle dishes doesnt come with rice). We love spicy eggplant with beef, yellow chicken curry and prawn Tom Kha soup from the regular menu. Tried their sticky rice with mango for dessert today and LOVE it, I want more!!!

I really liked this Thai place! Friendly staff and great food. The noodle dishes and stir fries are both good — can’t wait to check out the rest of the menu.

Great place for lunch. First time trying out this Thai restaurant. Now it is open for public, staffs are friendly, ordered basil chicken and it comes with good portion of food. Recommend this place and will visit again.

This is my absolute favorite Thai restaurant. I've been coming here since they opened. They're food is so good and they don't skimp out on meat like a lot of other Thai restaurants. I also love that when you ask for Thai spicy, your food is actually very spicy.

If you ask for spicy, they will actually make the food spicy. Definitely a new go to spot!

By far our favorite Thai restaurant in the area. The food is delicious and the Service is great. Also your food is ready very fast and the quality of food is great. We live in Morgan hill and we come here for Thai food.

We frequent this place and as many times over the years coming to this establishment, this is the ONLY Thai restaurant we go to. The SERVICE-efficient, FOOD- excellent, AMBIANCE-quaint, busy, home-like Thai vibes, this place never disappoints! Family-owned business and each staff are super friendly, hard working and provides a great experience each time. Food portions are worth the money. Our favorites- Panang chicken curry, Pad see ew (delicious), Pad Thai (super flavorful), Thai tea (fresh). Again, everyone has a different palette and taste, we, on the other hand favor only this place as we have tried other Thai restaurants and their quality, portion and prices are different. I guess all I have to say to conclude my review is----TO EACH THEIR OWN. :)

I Love this place ❤️ I usually have "Pad See EW" which is the wider noodles with veggies and chicken 🍜 yum!!! so delicious. I have also had a Coconut Curry soup that was so flavorful. I Highly Recommend if you want something different and comforting then this is the place 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

I’ve been to Thailand and lots of Thai restaurants. I’ve been to Thai Grata several times and think it’s the best Thai food anyplace! Not sure why there isn’t a line out the door!

Ordered 8-9 items, and all of them were awesome. Curries, noodles, basil tofu- all were excellent. The food is authentic and delicious, with great flavours. The pad kee mao is a must-try dish. Overall dishes tend to be spicy, so choose your spice level accordingly. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the cozy atmosphere makes for a great dining experience. Highly recommend!

I went in to Thai Grata based on the recommendations of employees that work in the same shopping area. I loved it. I mean, it was great. I had the Pad Thai, my "test" dish for Thai restaurants. The waitress was very pleasant and we discussed "hot" versus "Thai hot" and I got the Shrimp Pad Thai "hot". It was excellent. The best I've ever had. The staff was very pleasant. The food was excellent. It is now my go to restaurant near my home.

Delicious Thai Food and Exceptional Service on a Valentine’s Day ! I'm still impressed by the incredible service and delicious food we received from Thai Grata on Valentines. We ordered dinner takeout for our family gathering, and despite the chaos of the holiday rush, they delivered (literally!). The ordering process was seamless, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were told the food would be ready in about 30 minutes, and to our surprise, it was ready in 20! The food was piping hot, and the portions were generous. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the Pad Thai, Green Curry, and Massaman Curry. Each dish was expertly prepared, with bold flavors and tender ingredients. What truly impressed us, however, was the quick service and attention to detail. The staff at Thai Grata clearly went above and beyond to ensure that our holiday dinner was special. If you're looking for delicious Thai food and exceptional service, look no further than Thai Grata ! They truly exceeded our expectations, especially on a busy holiday. We can't wait to order from them again!

I went with a family member. See the pictures, we ordered green curry, spicy eggplant, papaya salad, tufu and fried naan. Every dish has its own distinctive flavor. The service was top. The server politely checked on us if we needed anything. The time we arrived was slow, it was almost between meal times. So the place was crowded at the time of our arrival, but everyone left shortly after we arrived. So we had the place to ourselves. I don’t know how the service could be if they were busier. Yes, I would certainly recommend to others to go, and I would go again.

Thai Grata was probably the fastest service I’ve ever had at any sit down restaurant. The food quality was beyond exceptional, and piping hot! Extremely delicious and the portion sizes are plentiful. I ordered the Pad Thai with Chicken and my husband ordered Pad Se Yu. My dish was definitely in the top 3 that I’ve ever had, while my husband said he enjoyed it but wasn’t his favorite. Still tasty and well worth the visit!

It's probably one of the better thai restaurants I know of in San Jose. If you have been to Thai Spice, Sweet Mango, Tarah Thai, Sai by Thai, and New Krung Thai. I say you need to try this place. We had the Tom Yum soup with chicken, pad see ew with thin noodle, yellow curry with chicken, and the pad gra-praw. It is a lot of food for two and we knew we were going to have takeout for lunch the next day. The flavor of the pad gra-praw is what I've been looking for since I came to San Jose. It's a very nice Thai basil flavor. Definitely will come again.

Amazed by the food. I asked for Thai hot and although spicy. It was tempered down a bit. I chose the seafood combination basil stir-fry and it was delicious. During my visit, I was the the only one in the restaurant but it was quickly filling during my stay. Service was very quick and attentive. I will be returning.

Great pad Thai that mixes its sauces very nice instead of giving it on the side or as an afterthought. Can be made without egg as well! Friend who got pineapple fried rice similarly stated it tasted great.

I've been a regular here for 7 years, eating here at least once a month, and never a reaction. While the menu doesn't have official GF labels, the staff is incredibly accommodating—they can make most dishes gluten-free just by swapping out the soy or oyster sauce. The food is consistently great and the service is always friendly. Highly recommend for fellow GF diners!"

Tom Kha Gai is always excellent, a must order every visit (get it spicy, it's great). Pad Thai, Pad See Ew are delicious. My wife loves the Chicken Panang. The best Thai in the area I've visited so far. The only suggestion I have is to please address the tables. They are too small compared to the chairs and it makes it a little uncomfortable.

The food here is delish! It's served family style and you can choose how hot you want each dish. I only wish they had booths in the dinning area to make the food more enjoyable but overall this place serves some good Thai food.

Had the Panang Curry lunch special today. Pretty tasty, but smaller portions than what I've had at other places. Service was quick and the meal came out quickly. With tax and tip it came out to $13.

Positive: The restaurant is larger than one would expect from the outside. The food seems to be authentic and I find it very tasteful. My waiter was friendly and efficient. Negative: Overall I find it too expensive. It seems like a system of small "tricks" to make it look cheap on the menu but it adds up by surprise. The soda was in a can so no refill. The rice is NOT included in a curry ($15 + $3 for the rice). I asked for a more rice and was charged another $3. I am used to restaurants where rice is included in the main dish and more rice is not charged extra. In addition, there is a weird 18 % service charge for groups of people of five or more.

Decent Thai food, typical menu options, and good service. Prices are a bit high and portions vary depending on the dish. This wouldn't be my first choice but if I'm in the area and am craving Thai food, it's not a bad option. - Roti: Yum! Buuut the curry came out warm and the fried roti was already a bit cold and not as crispy. It was also too oily. Overall, still tasty. - Papaya Salad: I got the Lao version and when that's available as an option, I know it's already off to a good start. The salad was tasty but the portion was pretty small. It only looked like a fair amount because it was on a pile of lettuce. - Pad Thai: Not bad at all! I got pork and they used a super lean cut which was a bit dry. Tastes best with dried chili flakes cause spice is always nice! I would order this again.

Decent place for Thai food. Ambience was okay. Staff was polite. We tried red & panang Thai curries with sticky rice & steamed rice. Sticky rice seemed undercooked & a bit plasticky. Curries were great.

Decent Thai place with a nice interior and quick service! Fairly empty when I came on a Thursday lunch. Food: I got the Tom kha soup and it was really good and sweet but had a good ratio of veggie and tofu and soup. The soup also came with free daily soup which was nice. Service: Super fast and hands off and the waiters checked in periodically to give us water. Ambiance: Super casual and clean place. Good place to catch up with a friend! Overall had a decent experience, nothing special but the food was good and cheap.

Every Thai restaurant has tom yum, but those that also serve potak soup are fewer. Thai Grata serves potak soup, and that makes me a fan. [Update] Came back with the family for a full meal. The multiple soup options continue to impress. The rest of the menu is more standard.

We had a curry and a sautéed dish, all dishes don’t come with rice so we had to order rice separately. The dish portions were small (especially the sautéed dish) and price was relatively expensive. The dish flavors were ok/good though.

Authentic, flavorful Thai food. Love the papaya salad, spicy basil fried rice, green curry and pad kee maw. Most servers are good, but some of them are not. They keep running out of cabbage, but glad that they had the tender coconut today. One of our favorite Thai places in the Bay Area for sure! When they say Thai spicy, they mean it.

Falls into 'passable Thai' cuisine. Service was slow and disorganized, apparently wait staff don't have sections. Lighting is horrible with LED bright white bulbs everywhere. Food was mediocre. Not recommended.

Overall average experience. I ordered takeout for three people including myself. The food was out quickly, but the portion sizes seemed rather small compared to most other Thai restaurants I've visited. The quality was good, not amazing, but I was also at the disadvantage of being VERY hungry at the time, so it may have been of lesser quality than I could tell. It was also a bit pricey for what I got. Convenient location, though.

It's the only Thai restaurant that is close to me (if you don't count Thai Elephant because it's fast food or Thai Lovers because it's in a food court). I really like how their dishes are truly spicy (even the medium can pack some heat if you're not used to it). I really like the Tom Yum Soup, the pad thai, and the yellow curry. There's a bit of a wait at night and service can get really slow. The last time that my friends and I went, half of our table were served relatively quick but the other half that ordered curry and soup had to wait quite awhile before getting served. Our food ended up going cold during the wait which was pretty disappointing. The waitstaff doesn't stop by your table too often (it seems like they all huddle in one area near the kitchen), and you have to really flag someone down if you want your water refilled or your check. Still, if there's not too many people there, I think it's a worthwhile experience. My verdict? Go during lunch.

On July 4th, we went to visit Burma Choice, but unfortunately, it was closed. However, we decided to try Thai Grata instead, and we were fortunate that it was open. The atmosphere at Thai Grata was pleasant and authentic, and there were many people there during lunchtime. To beat the heat, we ordered a large Thai Iced Tea, which was both refreshing and delicious. For our main dishes, we chose Crab Fried Rice and Pad See Ew. The Crab Fried Rice was average, while the Pad See Ew was quite good. Overall, we found the prices to be on the expensive side considering the taste. Each entree cost around $20, which felt a bit pricey.

Food was decent, not impressive or bad. Solid 3.5 stars there. The prices were definitely way too high for what you get. Portions were a bit too small to share and $85 for three people and no leftovers will tell you just how small they are. I might have gone back, but just too pricey.

My partner and I ordered pickup from here yesterday: panang curry with tofu (for him), pad prik king with tofu (for me), and basil spicy fried rice with tofu substituted with brown rice (to share). The employee on the phone was very short, terse, and curt. She did not confirm the end of the order ("Is there anything else?"), did not repeat my order back to me, and I had to ask for the total which was about $45: each dish was $13.95 before tax. The only useful information she gave freely was that it would be ready within 20 minutes. When we arrived, the order was hot and ready to go. We return home excited to eat. Upon opening the boxes, we realize the portions were quite small. Definitely not worth $14 each, especially since everything was vegetarian. The quality of the food itself is AWESOME: the chefs definitely know what they are doing. Knocking down two stars for the lackluster communication and small portions. I got hungry again a few hours later when I expected the food to last me longer. Lanna Thai is so much better price, portion, and service-wise (quality of food is probably equal) they're not even in the same league. If you want Thai in this area, go there instead.

Thai grata is usually one of our go to places we eat, but we normally eat inside. I placed an order to go today and it was so disappointing. The portions were so small for the cost. I ordered 2 orders of sticky rice and to save on their costs of putting it a plastic container they packed it like a brick in plastic wrap and foil. It was inedible. I ordered 2 curries 1 was ok, but the green curry was 2 pieces of eggplant, some zuchinni and almost no chicken in it. We also ordered chicken satay, we got 5 sticks with tiny pieces of chicken on it, not even amounting to half a chicken breast and they charged almost $16 for it.... unfortunately, I don't know if we will be back. We spent a lot of money on very little food and we're totally disappointed with it.
