Small pizza joint. But they got good drinks and great food. Name another San Jose pizzeria that adds iguanas sauce to one of their pizza styles. Friends and I got a half Cubano half SOB for our first meal and will be coming back again!
Caleb the owner is a former pro boxer hence the name they have the best meatballs and wings and salad salads and of course their main item is Pizza! The Cubano is to die for, and their brisket is unparalleled. We love this amazing restaurant! Oh, and not to mention, fantastic, mock tails, and cocktails And warm, friendly service
My girlfriend has been dying to try this place since she spotted it a few months ago and we decided to come for happy hour one evening. One of the cooks brought out a free meatball for us to try which was really nice. The drinks were good and the food was amazing. Wings and pizza were both a 10/10 and great service too. Come check it out!
Phenomenal place near downtown in East Village. Really great local owner with organic, high quality product. Full bar and great amibance inside with boxing theme. Meatballs and pizza are so good, can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Street parking available.
I did online order for pu of a pizza - it was ready at the pickup time - it was treat for my wife pepperoni and garlic white sauce
I decided to try this place out with my co-worker, Martha, who's a regular here. As SJSU workers, we're always looking for places downtown to try out! She always raved about this place and recently, they started opening during lunch again. The menu looked beautiful! Everything looked delicious and it wasn't too overwhelming or underwhelming. That goes for the restaurant itself as well. A unique and well-designed spot downtown and easy access for campus goers. The owner, Caleb, is a SWEETHEART! He's always ready to answer any questions about the menu and I had a great experience for my first time. I got the Thursday lunch special, Chicken Parm and it was so delicious. Not too heavy on the sauce, neither the breading of the chicken or freshly baked bread hurt the roof of my mouth. Everything was cooked and assembled to perfection. The sandwich is HUGE too, definitely fit for 2 meals! Had a pepperoni pizza with spicy honey the next day for Martha's birthday celebration and THIS is my favorite type of pizza. Baked perfectly for the cheese to brown, thin crust, crispy pepperoni, yum!!!! Missing it already! Can't wait for a chicken or turkey caesar sandwich in the future, I'll be the FIRST to buy!
Great pizza! Thin crust with lots of flavor. Cubano is a must try! Brisket is delicious too. Highly recommend them, still impressed how took me so long to find such a great place.
Small and quaint, I love that it’s local by cool person and excellent people work there. Had a marvelous lunch on Thursday when they had their special chicken Parmesan sandwich on freshly baked bread with a homemade tomato sauce. Beer drinkers would love this place too because they have a great selection of craft beers, But also have a awesome selection sodas
Delicious sourdough cheesless pie! The Tavern Punch is a great way to celebrate the end of another week. It's not a bad walk from campus either. I will definitely be back!

Great pizza in a cozy little place, a couple of Tap craft beers, had a Hazy IPA with wings a pizza, if you’re around the neighborhood worth checking it out
This place is so great. Food is excellent. Don't sleep on the Cubano tavern pie, but the regular pizza crust is amazing as well! Welcoming locals vibe where you can check out a game or bring your hot rod and show it off. I can't believe it's taken me so long to review, as I've been a regular since it opened.
What a great option for our Super Bowl party…. Three pizzas and two large orders of wings. We opted for delivery… ordered the day before. It was on time (and wayyy before any touchdowns!) and everyone enjoyed the food, as usual.
We picked up, large Margherita pizza was great. Right ingredients with fresh basil. We are repeat customers, plan to return and enjoy a nice dinner at the establishment.
Excellent pizza—easily some of the best in San Jose! The crust has that perfect crunch with a sourdough-like flavor. You can really taste the freshness of the ingredients, from the handmade dough to the perfectly balanced sauce. It’s clear a lot of care goes into every pie. The vibe is relaxed and a little bar-like, but still clean and thoughtfully put together, making it a great spot to hang out with friends or grab a pickup order on the way home. Truly a gem in the San Jose pizza scene.
Best pizza in San Jose, and a great space too. We haven’t ordered pizza from anywhere else since stumbling upon The Last Round a few years ago. Our go-tos are the Three Piece, chicken wings (they have great Ranch), and the Tear and Share. Super friendly staff.
tried their pizza it was surprisingly good. The crust had a nice chew, the toppings were flavorful.

SO SO GOOD! We get the Wrigleyville and it never EVER disappoints. Dined-in today and enjoyed a beautiful, delicious arugula salad—in addition to our Wrigleyville pizza—and caught a bit of the Cubs game in the telly. Best thin crust pizza in town!!
Fist time trying, my Veteran students at De Anza College recommend as it’s a favorite of theirs. We ordered the Brisket and the Margherita and both were so tasty, the crust was crispy which was fantastic! I will definitely order for our future potlucks again. Thank you for making delicious pizzas.
Everything here is phenomenal! Yes, it's a little on the pricier side, but it's sooo worth it! The customer service is phenomenal, you can tell they really and actually care about both their customers, and product, and it shows! The pizza itself, is delicious! The crust is delicious crispy sourdough, and the toppings are fresh and high quality. The wings are plump and well cooked! We usually do take out, and the food is always well packed and tastes incredible. The Last Round Tavern is definitely in my top 3 for pizza joints in San Jose, if not, the bay area. PS, they're sandwiches are also bomb, I really wished I worked near the area so I could get it for lunch more
Small place, about 25 table seats and 4 bar seats. 5 beer taps, full bar and a nice menu focusing on pizza. Locally owned, with a light boxing theme (mostly in the pictures on the wall). I only had a beer this visit, but the pizza, meatballs, and wings looked and smelled really good.
In somewhat of a random sequence of events, I ended up at this place for a pizza party put on by the DOT. Don't ask... The good news is the place was rolling out a large assortment of pizzas for the occasion, so I figured I would cram in a new review. Why not? This location serves two styles of pizza, thin crust (which for some reason is called "tavern style") and pan. Apparently, they originally started by serving pan, but now the thin crust has become just as popular. For this occasion both were on the menu, so I tried them out. The thin crust was good, and notably, they serve the small pepperoni, the same style as Mountain Mike's. If you're into that style of meat, but prefer a thin crust, I can definitely recommend this place with only one caveat. Whenever a place makes a thin crust the pressure to pull the pizza at the right time is paramount. If they miss, the pizza can end up with some sections that are like cardboard, and the pizzas that I tried had a few hot spots. The pan was good as well. It's similar in style to Roundtable's pan, but notably made from sourdough. The sourdough starter isn't that old yet, so the flavor was not overwhelmed, but you can tell it's there. Overall, the place was a bit small, it seems like the kind of place you go when you intimately know the people you're with whom you're seated. I can see it as a good place to catch a game, although, I can't vouch for the drink prices, as no alcohol was served. In the end, it's a solid 4 stars, at least for the pizza.
A busy friendly place with an eclectic clientele. The thin crust pizzas (tavern style) are nicely cooked and offer a nice balance between the flavors of the dough and the toppings. My favorite so far is the Margherita (one of the best Margherita's in San Jose). It is topped with fresh basil leaves and the sauce is flavorful with hints of oregano and parmesan. The pizzas are cut into small squares which makes sharing them very easy. The Cubano is surprisingly tasty and I did find the Chorizo very good but a little greasy. The draft beers were mostly IPAs and I would have like to see a few pilsner choices. Prices are very fair. We shared a table with strangers and were delighted to hear their stories of their lives navigating the California tech world.

Tried The Last Round Tavern for the first time tonight. Ordered online, which was easy, and got a text when the pizza was ready—smooth process, no waiting around. We ordered the Supreme pie. The crust is thin and crispy, which we enjoy. It’s got a nice chew and a good flavor—definitely not your average cardboard base. The sauce has a solid tang, and the cheese is melty and rich without being greasy. Toppings-wise, though... I gotta say, for $38, I expected a bit more. The flavors were there—pepperoni, sausage, peppers, onions, olives—but they were kinda sparse. Each bite didn’t always have the full combo going on. It’s tasty, just not as loaded as I hoped for the price. Also noticed a $3.00 “online platform fee” tacked onto the order. Not sure what that’s about—would’ve been nice to get a heads-up or breakdown on that. If you’re ordering the Supreme, just know it leans more on flavor than heft.

Service was a 5. The gentleman helping us was friendly and informative and attentive but we came here for food and it disappointed big time. We got wings and pizza, pepperoni and Cubano. Wings were really dry and not much flavor, came on Wednesday, half off wings but not even worth that. Pizza was just not worth it. $40 for a large, I think 14in., nope never again. Dough wasnt anything special. Pepperoni, nothing great about it. The Cubano we didn't care for. Not big pulled pork people so maybe that's why but it did taste like pork if that's your thing. Toppings were OK. They drizzle some sauce on top that to me just tasted like mayonnaise. Very small inside. Don't know how this spot has 4.7 rating. Unfortunately would not come here again. For price and what you get, I recommend to go elsewhere
Went for superbowl, pizza and beer with friends. Left with no pizza because cashier never put in our order. We were overcharged with items we never asked for and my beverage sat at the bar for over 20 minutes. Nothing was comped and we left hungry and frustrated. Place wasn’t packed and everyone inside had already gotten food in the time we had been there waiting for our order. I order pizza from this spot often, but this was so disappointing. Do better.
