I'm a fan of The Original Pancake House and have been to several different of their locations. I've always found the food of high quality and the service has always been competent. My favorite dish here is their Dutch baby which is a baked egg based raised pastry item with similar flavor to French toast. The restaurant has authentic maple syrup and of course other toppings. I like the fact that all their items are of high quality. I have been there with large groups and everyone has been quite satisfied.

Food is amazing! So delicious! I am not even done with my fresh fruit waffle yet but I had to leave a review because it is that good 😋 The whipped cream has to be home made because it's so good. Like nothing I've ever tasted. I was pleasantly surprised by the variety of fruit. Four different kinds on my waffle. Raspberry, blackberry, strawberry and blueberry. Plus the woman who took my order was very kind. She brought the food out to my car. I didn't have time but there's also patio seating out back. Great place to eat.

The place wan hopping and jumping. The servers and hostesses are very friendly and they are very accommodating to what you need. The food was just awesome with a fluffy fluffy pancake that I really liked. I have been looking for a place where I could have that nice feel of the pancake. The Omelette that I ordered is also delicious because it has so much stuff in it like they did not count the number of sliced sausages or number of pieces of bacon that a lot of other restaurants would do and have more eggs than the stuffing in it.

This restaurant have been family-owned for over 20 years plus until they decided to retire. I hadn't been in there since because I was loyal to the old owners. I decided to take my girlfriend and our mom's there for Mother's Day to find out that their number one server had bought the restaurant! I think he's doing a great job. I'll definitely be frequent in here again now that I know that it stayed in the family. Keep up the good work guys :-)

Great small quaint restaurant that's been around for quite a while good menu selection and also lot of nice options very good portions and the kitchen was twice as fast as our Server. Busboy came around more then our server and our party appreciated that very much food was very good and was delicious would highly recommend

Finally a place with a real corned beef hash. Try the Dutch baby!!!

I was most impressed with the menu and the options of pancakes! I had the coconut pancakes (and fruity topping) and they were delicious! Plan to share or take the leftovers home. They served @5 large pancakes! Also had the eggs and hash browns and shared both dishes with a friend. They had a nice drink menu. The iced chai was a perfect touch. We sat in the back patio under an umbrella. Looking forward to taking my hubs and kids back here again!!

We've been going here for many years now. The pancakes are an absolute favorite of the kids here. They are light and fluffy and delicious 😋. They have other popular breakfast dishes on the menu as well, such as crepes, waffles, French toast, omelettes and others. Everything we've eaten here so far has been good. The staff is friendly and helpful.

excellent service always. Dutch baby is eggcelent too. got a new waiter today, got seated at a table. waited 25 minutes for someone to take order. waited another 35 minutes for food to arrive. so have to be patient depends on who you got.

The staff they are incredible. Nice, couldn't be nicer. The woman who owns the place is such a sweetheart. I'm just in love with this place. It's like a extension of my family. There beautiful people........ The food and service impeccable. I'm sorry I have no negative experiences to comment on. I've lived here for 70 years my father was born in Los Altos we are not strangers. I give them 10 stars......

Amazing omelette, large, fluffy, beautiful taste, with just the right amount of bacon inside. The staff is also wonderful - attentive, friendly, cheerful. Update 3/17/2023. Giving three stars for atmosphere because of the broken and neglected window in the men's bathroom. Management needs to pay attention to things like that. It looks awful and there's cold air streaming in.

A little loud when it's crowded, but the food is awesome. Best steak and eggs I've ever had. They also serve the food in very large portions, so be prepared to box up some of it

Per my 10 yo - “can we add a five star review?!??” He loved the pancakes and scrambled eggs. The fresh squeezed orange juice was amazing, and the omlettes come with hash browns and a side of 3 pancakes or French toast! It’s definitely shareable.

Go for the food. The restaurant hasn't been updated in years and rumors are that the property will be "redeveloped" soon. The apple pancake is the same delicious one we enjoyed in Illinois. Skip the swedish pancakes. They were a disappointment. Everything else on the extensive breakfast menu looked delicious at the other tables.

M

This is my favorite diner in the local area. The staff is very polite and I like that they get along and banter—it really adds to the atmosphere and coziness of the place. They are attentive and very personable. The pancakes are great. They give huge portions that create two meals for me. They serve normal diner food for the most part, but there's lots of variety in the pancakes and omelets they offer, like coconut pancakes and clam pancakes. The Dutch baby is also stellar.

A

I just went to the Pancake House for lunch yesterday. They are one of only a few places that will make you a “Dutch Baby” pancake. It takes 20 minutes for it to be cooked, but it’s worth the wait. They offer real maple syrup, which is all I use. They do serve their Dutch Baby with powdered sugar and lemon slices. The food was great and our waitress was wonderful. We ate in and were told we could take as much time as we wanted. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the acoustics.

M

We had a delivery from this restaurant. We ordered French toast and egg Benedict. They were a generous portion and they drew smiley face on the package. They were delicious.

Every time I come here I leave with a happy tummy. My favorites here are the pork links special and the fresh fruit Dutch baby. We usually get 2 things and share it between 3 people. Pet friendly outdoor seating makes our little doggy very happy. The staff is always friendly and polite, and they’re very particular about everything being clean and comfortable for their guests!

We went here for breakfast and for their Dutch Baby pancake with fresh fruit. Everything was so good! I had Chicken Fried Steak and poached eggs. It came with a side of pancake (yum!) My friend had their Hot links with eggs. Great service and food is reasonably priced. Great food if you don't mind the diner atmosphere.

Small breakfast spot in downtown Los Altos that just can't be beat! For a second time I had their Mandarin Crepes. The Mandarins are so sweet it's like eating candy! The crepes are delicious too, and when you add their Mandarin based sauce on top it is a delight for the taste buds that just doesn't seem to end! My wife loved their cherry crepes too! Today (Mother's Day) I had the mandarin crepes again. They were absolutely perfect! I told them to compliment the chef! My wife had the fresh fruit crepes. She said they were especially delicious today too!

I was there on a Sunday afternoon and I was impressed. The food was great, the service was personable and fast, and the portions were well worth the money. Impressed is an understatement. The options for meals and how clean the restaurant was kept is exceptional. If you want great breakfast food or a variety of lunch and dinner foods, come here. If you really want great pancakes come to The Original House of Pancakes, not the International one.

C

The best breakfast spot in Los Altos. Highly recommend any of the omelette options. I ordered the vegetarian (the pictured without gravy). The Dutch baby is the best dessert option on the menu. Perfectly cooked and topped with additional (optional) items like butter, syrup, lemon and powdered sugar. Service was excellent. We went on a Monday, the day after Christmas 2022. Our gal was so friendly and fast with everything. She killed it! Sorry I forgot her name but she doesn't work weekends and has a great smile!

This is it, folks... I can never eat pancakes again. They will always fall short of these sourdough pancakes. That's right, you're seeing eight (8) pancakes, each the size of my hand, dusted with sugar and topped with butter. Step right up and see the Platonic Form of pancake, right here on this table! Perfectly fluffy, with just the right amount of chew. If you'd told me this morning that I'd be this amazed by a plate of pancakes -- SOURDOUGH pancakes --, I'd have laughed at you. I'd have said "SOURDOUGH? pancakes?? For real? No way." Well, folks, I'm reformed. I'm a believer. And I believe in these pancakes right here. I have to fly back to Wisconsin in a couple days, and you can be sure that, on that plane, I'll be dreaming about these fluffy perfections. Come on in and order... you won't be disappointed! Other excellencies: mango smoothie (with whipped cream), peach Italian soda, spinach omelet (fluffy, layered, crusted with cheese), service (friendly, fast, nice), parking (small lot right out front with more across the street) -- BEST pancake place I've ever been to, hands-down.

Best breakfast that I have ever had. Food was delivered hot and very appetizing. Coffee offered throughout my breakfast. Had to get a to go box as there was so much food. Definitely a return trip as this was the first time visit. Don’t think I would go anywhere else now that I ate here! Thanks to all for a great breakfast.

When we walked in the ohop it was like home, we got seated and the service was great. We got the grapefruit juice and it was quickly served. The grapefruit juice was perfectly hand made. Then came the light of the whole experience the Dutch baby and the salmon Benedict, the condiments for the Dutch baby were amazing. The soft pancakey texture of the Dutch baby made it more appetizing. The egg on the salmon Benedict was so soft an creamy. The salmon was cooked to perfection. It is 10/10 way better then ihop.

N

Everyone helped each other. They always made sure you had a full cup of coffee. The food was delivered in a timely manner. They delivered the crepes before the main dishes, as we requested. We had crepes, shrimp omelet, french toast and sausage links. The food was excellent. Will go back when in town again.

Couldn't be happier with a classic American breakfast spot. Service is friendly, potions are generous, and everything was tasty. We had the Dutch baby pancake and a steak scramble between my wife and I and we had leftovers to take home.

The Original Pancake House is the most incredible breakfast spot we've experienced. From staff who are always warm and welcoming and make sure your drinks are topped off to the ambience and flexibility, it really doesn't get better! Check out their menu before you go with the best selection anywhere. Scrambles and waffles, crepes and omelettes and even dutch babies and yes definitely pancakes. We'll need to come back .. soon!

Anthony and Emily recommended the Dutch Baby at The Original Pancake House here in Los Altos. We shared one plus two eggs on the side. It was delicious! Plenty of fruit, maybe a little heavy on bannana, nonetheless excellent. The Original Pancake House reminded me of a restaurant from the 1970s. This is not a bad thing as it is a comfortable place to come and enjoy breakfast. Staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Mom and pop breakfast diner in Los Altos. They have all of your usual breakfast diner combos but we came here for the Dutch baby pancake 🥞. $15 before tax and tip isn’t bad. Service is quick and the pancakes prolly took about 7-10 mins to come out. It’s a thicker Dutch baby pancake versus other places we’ve gone to (Richard walker in San Diego for example). So thusly it’s a little bit more doughy and less crispy as other thinner counter parts. Regardless, still tastes good, sprinkle the like and butter. Add the syrup if it’s your thing and you’re good to go. We usually do sweet and savory and the corn beef hash had our eye but we only came in for a quick bite. Might have to come back for the combination. Worth a shot.

We love this chain. Their hot chocolate is something special. Their pancakes are yummy. My husband ordered swedish and I ordered 49 flip jack something, both are equally yummy, the only difference was the crispy on one of them. This establishment is a bit older than other branches we have visited, but the quality of food and service remains outstanding. The runner guy always has welcoming smile whenever we asked for anything. Updated 10/28/23: just came here again, and the runner guy is still so welcoming.

Great place, wonderful staff. Food portions are huge, you can easily order 1 thing and share. I really liked how the servers spent time sitting and chatting with the elderly crowd that was there. It was so refreshing to watch them genuinely take time with each table like everyone there was family visiting. I would give this place 100 stars!

Home cooked breakfast was delicious with buckwheat pancakes 🥞 with small chocolate chips on top to add a wonderful combo of flavors. Warm hospitality. Comfortable booths. Awesome coffee too! Due to storms, electric was out that day but Pancake House was able to continue cooking meals for hungry customers! They offer fresh made salsa if asked!

I’ve been a TOPH regular since my childhood in Oregon. Now, I’m 50 yrs old & this is the best location I’ve discovered yet. 2.5 hours away from my home… but definitely worth the drive! Vintage inside and out, with an exceptional, very attentive, staff. Special shout out to Albert, our server! The food was AMAZING!!!! Highly recommend the Dutch Baby, Ham & Cheese Omelette, & Sourdough Pancakes!

This was my first time here. Tried an omelette and the Dutch baby. The omelette was really fluffy and prepared in a way I've not seen. Almost like a quiche. The Dutch baby is huge. Prepare to share or take home. I lowered service because it seemed like their oven was broken and it took a while for our food to come out. No one's fault really but I just wanted to point it out.

K
Kimmi Tyler

I have loved The Original Pancake House for a long time and the food is still the same that I've enjoyed for years but prices and service have definitely made the experience less wonderful lately. The servers are really great but there's usually not enough of them so it gets backed up and you can be waiting a while just to order. The prices are all over the place. A side of bacon is $9.50 for 4 slices. A side of berries is $16.50. A regular bacon and eggs meal with pancakes and hash browns is only $13.50 even though it comes with as much bacon as a side does. The restaurant itself has not been updated so it's a funky 90's style but they do a good job keeping it clean. I have also enjoyed the rotation of local artists with art available for purchase on the walls. For me it's still a good local breakfast restaurant but we go less than we used to.

Had breakfast here today with a big group of friends. While the decor does seem a little tatty the service was friendly and mostly efficient and they were very accommodating about the kids in our party (in fact there were a lot of kids there!). The food was simple and tasty, although my heart sank at the overly generous portions (who eats that much? !) and I must admit the two house specials I tried - The Dutch Baby and the Apple Pancake were excellent.

L
Leong Tan

I really like this place. People here always have a smile and the food tastes great. Some may say the decor looks old. I like to say it has some classic charm. The Spanish tile floor can be uneven for the tables, and the tables may not be considered modern, but that's all part of the Original Pancake House theme. I think it works for them. Everything is maintained in good condition. Restroom is clean and even has a real full size changing table, not just a flimsy fold down shelf like other places. They have a dedicated parking lot across the street, on the other side of the bank next door.

J
J. Nicci Coffie

Offers gluten-free pancakes that taste good! Worth going just for that. The food was decent/average, and the service was good. The atmosphere is outdated/old and could use a deep cleaning and new coat of paint to freshen it up. It's a large space that could accommodate many guests, but has a very small parking lot for only 4 or 5 cars.

Generous portions. Good buckwheat pancakes. Quick service.

D

Dutch Baby with fresh fruit is excellent! At the rush of stating the obvious, it's a delicious baked pancake, not an actual child. Conversely, the omelets are way too greasy.

Y

Dutch baby is really rich. Fresh fruit crepe is what you'd expect, but ingredients go well together. Tip: add some of the sweet jam from the crepe to the dutch baby.

Great place to visit for breakfast, and any time of the day. Their omelettes, pancakes, French toasts, and hash browns are excellent. Portion size is great.

B

I went here to try the Dutch Baby pancakes and it was okay. This is the only place around the Bay that I could find for Dutch Baby Pancakes. The pancake had a thick bottom than an average Dutch Baby pancake. What we did enjoy and stuffed our stomachs with was their Oven baked Apple Pancake with fresh Granny sSmith apples and pure Sinkiang cinnamon glaze. Both dishes are the specialities - get the Apple Pancake!

Haven't been here in years and glad we stopped by today. Service was excellent and the food was good. The portions, as many reviews mention are huge. 3 of us had corned beef hash with potatoes and eggs. 2 orders would have been enough. Came with 3 pancakes or french toast, both very good with real maple syrup and whipped butter. The hash was home made and chunky. Despite being placed on the griddle to crisp it a little, it wasn't dried out. Eggs up were perfect. Had to ask for containers to take half of the plates home. The interior definitely shows it's age but it's very clean. Will be back.

Super attentive. Within 2m we had 3 different waiters attend to us. Never had Dutch Baby before which was yummy. Cons: Syrup is watery, bacon omelet no cheese was dry, side of 2 eggs cost $5, environment is dark and retired, and they could attend better to water refills and providing to-go boxes.

OPH is one of my favorite breakfast chains, but this location isn't like the others. The usually light, fluffy pancakes were heavier and the bacon wasn't the thick-cut awesomeness found across other OPH locations. The building was also an anomaly among other OPH locations I've been to, lacking some polish and charm. Service was attentive, so points there. As a breakfast place, not terrible. But as an OPH, I expected more consistency with the brand standard.

Rebecca Jolius

The food is pretty expensive but you get ginormous portions. Everything pictured is one meal. We split between two friends and both had leftovers. The restaurant itself has a really confusing layout and no one to greet you.

Negar Feher

The service was slow and the servers were not attentive. The chef overcooked our eggs; but they did bring us additional eggs after we complained. Overall they tried to make up for their short comings and the food overall is still good. We usually come here foe their Dutch babies, which I'd highly recommend and their buckwheat pancakes are great too.

Sankha Hota

If you are a pancake fanatic, this is the place. So many varieties and such a large portion. I ate there, packed the rest and ate the rest the next two mornings. Service is super quick, sitting is ample and they cater for people with peanut allergy. The kids loved it.

Bobby C.

Came here for brunch on Sunday at 1pm. All of the outdoor tables in the patio area were full, but we only had to wait a little bit and a table opened up. I saw people's dogs laying down patiently while their humans had their meals. The service was good. Our server gave us all the condiments that we requested. The buckwheat pancakes were good. The eggs were cooked the way I wanted, over medium, which went well with the apple sausage and hash browns. Overall a good meal.

F
Filip Zivkovic

It's okay overall, but this place will not be my first choice any time soon. The server was a bit overwhelming, first with entering my order into their system (twice), and even after, like they were very eager to get rid of me. Ordered a cappuccino which came in a cup that was hard to drink from properly and the roast was burned. Continental crepes had doe spread too thick and filling was unevenly distributed to the point that half the crepe was empty. Parking was very limited and the interior is pretty bland, would definitely choose the patio for seating (which is also not great).

S
Scott Barker

The food is always good. I'm hooked on the Dutch baby. The only problem I ever have is when I go later in the day and there is only one person seating people and taking orders. I've had to wait several minutes before I ever see an employee. They take my order, bring my food then I have to sit and wait for the check. One time I left cash in the table because I never got a check. Unfortunately this is the later afternoon norm instead of the exception. If I didn't like the food so much the poor service would make me a former customer.

K
Kay OKerrins

The food portions were gargantuan and delicious. We visited on a Wed morning around 9, and in spite of just a few customers, service was very slow. The decor is dirty and outdated. If you are looking for a greasy spoon diner, you won't be disappointed.

K
Karem Garcia

This place is nice however it does not compare to the original house of pancakes that was on Almaden Expressway, in terms of food , service, and atmosphere. The food isn't bad but its not top quality here either I ordered the mushroom omelet that comes with mushroom sauce. I asked for it on the side and it was can cream of mushrooms I only know because of the aluminum flavor in the sauce. The apple pancake was as well ordered and it was way smaller half what the size use to be. As well as an order of bacon pancakes and well the price went up but the quality and quantity went down. It is a nice place when the heater or AC isn't broken. However if you haven't been here before give it a chance you might like it better the my family and I did.

The Original Pancake House on San Antonio road has been around for many years. The food was okay, we had to chase down the waiters for additional water and for boxes at the end they were not very attentive.

N
Nichole Wong

I hadn't been here since my son was a toddler, pre COVID. My friend and I wanted to go somewhere different for breakfast. The service was decent. It was typical breakfast food and nothing special to write home about. The pancakes were dry. 😟 The coffee did not taste fresh. Unfortunately, the atmosphere was depressing. Inside it's old and run down and very noticeable since there were not a lot of people dining there.

Kind of a throwback place. Once a mighty chain now with a few remaining outposts of which this is one. The basic menu is unchanged for 50 years. The service is pleasant but quite slow and sometimes incompetent. But everyone is nice. The food is good (also unchanged after 50 years). The up charge for "real" maple syrup is a little off putting but it is optional. Overall a solid "sure...why not?"

kevin kruemp

The AC barely works, the service was pretty rough even though they were almost empty, and the food was entirely average. I had high hopes for this restaurant. My hometown has one of these and it is always amazing. This location did not live up to that hype at all. It was a hot day and the AC in the store barely worked so I was sweating like crazy. I ordered an iced chai latte to help cool down and one of the staff members gave me a hot chai instead 🫠. They brought out a new one quickly, but it was not a good start. The food was okay, the strawberries seemed fresh but the strawberry sauce was more like sugar water.

Went on a Monday morning. The place was almost empty. One server and one busboy. It took awhile to get our order taken. Food was slightly above Denny's and IHOP. Nothing to warrant praise or description. Service was extremely slow for the amount of people dining. Interior slightly dingy. Not unclean but sparkling either.

I went to Original Pancake House today and ordered an omelet with hash browns and pancakes. I elected to add cheese to my omelette for an upcharge. My boyfriend also got an omelette and added cheese as well. When our food came my omelette did not have any cheese. I kindly informed our waiter and he took my plate of omelette and hash browns back into the kitchen to remedy the situation. When it came back out it was clear they had put the plate in the microwave to melt the cheese on top and nuked the hell out of it. The food was complete mush and way too hot to eat. Some ingredients in the omelette were way hotter than others and overall it was just pretty gross. Especially compared to my boyfriend’s omelette and hash browns which were perfect. Original Pancake House should be remaking food that is wrong, or at least putting it in the oven not the microwave. And they even still charged us for the cheese!

Very overpriced, especially for what I got. Wasn’t busy when I went but I had to wait long for everything. California Benedict

They brought me maple syrup. I asked what other kinds of syrup they had. I was told "just maple". Seemed hard to believe for a pancake house, expecially when other menu items list "tropical syrup", "apple syrup", and others. Placed seemed run down and was mostly empty. Definitely not up to the standard of other OPH locations I've been to. There would not be a chain if this place was the standard.

The food was bland, and for a “pancake house” the pancakes were below average. No flavor. Food came out all separately too. I ordered blueberry pancakes with an egg on the side, my partner ordered an omelet with toast and sausages on the side. My pancakes came out, then at least 5 min later the omelet came out, then 5 min later the side egg, and the sausages never did. The single egg was good, so I’ll give it 2 stars. The blueberry compote with the pancakes was also strangely lacking flavor and had no smell. Coffee was average diner coffee. Staff was really friendly and good service.

This place has so much potential to be great. They open very early which is amazing considering there’s not a lot of early morning options. I’ve been here 3 times in hopes of giving it another shot. Off the bat, the place is cluttered with random stuff as if it’s a storage on the side where the bar is. There’s a huge Italian sign that says espresso, so I was like oh well that’s at least good, they’ll have good coffee. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I’ve ordered pancakes, corn beef and bits, also my husband had an omelette and French toast. The food is basic, nothing to write home about. Just your average breakfast. What ruined the experience was the server. She’s always so cranky, what I don’t get is, if you don’t want to work the early hours, why are you there? She was dismissive and unwelcoming, every time I asked for something or a refill it was followed by annoyance or indifference. It’s unfortunate bc I do want to like this place for the convenience of the hours.

Had the best coffee ever But when I attempted to put the ketchup on my hashbrowns, the ketchup with sour, and when we told the attendance, they just gave us new catchup and did not replace our hashbrowns will never come back

BUMMER! This is the worst Original Pancake House I've ever been to (I've been to 15+ other OPH locations.) Their iconic Buttermilk pancakes were dense, not light and fluffy like they're known for being. There was no central air on (it just have been 80° inside), super uncomfortable, I felt bad for the staff. The layout is super awkward, half the restaurant is unused and it looks like storage. This was my second visit to this location, and ultimately my last. I VERY RARELY leave negative reviews, but this spot feels subpar for the franchise.

The wait staff was friendly. That's the only positive. The omelet was way overcooked on the outside and raw on the inside, so totally inedible. I sent it back. It took so long for the chef to make it the first time around that I didn't ask for a redo. Plus, why would the chef do it correctly the second time just because it's a redo? The hash browns were terrible also: extremely crispy on the outside and raw on the inside. I'll never go back.

Frist impression of this research was okay average service as you walk in they greet you and all but once you sit down and order your food they forget to bring you extras like fork knife coffee there was like 5 waiters but all were on there phones or talking. Not paying attention to the guest anyways once we ordered we got our food which was coming out way to quickly for my gut feeling if anyone has seen Gorden Ramsay on TV he says if a kitchen spits out food to quickly be cautious and yes we were food had mixed quality some tasted good other was not the beat but we also Got served Spoiled food our waffles we order were extremely sour and bitter and the strawberry we had as toppings were moldy THIS PLACE NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN worst of all the customers service from there staff was poor instead of admitting that they were wrong they made an excuse saying the cheif used Sour Dough Bread power which is absolutely absurd like come on just say you gave us Spoiled products I will never be coming back and will definitely call the Health Department to vist this establishment STAY AWAY FROM THIS PANCAKE HOUSE!!!

The place smelled funky as soon as I walked in. Worst breakfast i've ever had to pay for. Undercooked hash browns , Under cooked French toast, the food left such a bad taste in my mouth after I ate it. It was so bad it made me laugh, I couldn't believe that all these old folks in Los Altos pay a premium for this food.

I ordered an omelette for breakfast at around 10:30 am through DoorDash and paid extra for both the tip and a faster delivery fee. It was promised that the omelette would be delivered within 15 minutes, but it ended up taking over an hour. I tried to call the restaurant to see what was happening, but they did not answer. The DoorDash driver claimed that it wasn't his fault because he had to wait for 30 minutes at the restaurant for a simple omelette. It wasn't even during rush hour. I will never order from this terrible place again.

my adaptive friend and i had breakfast and then, bc he was feeling good, we walked to downtown. they had my handicap placard car towed! we were there maybe 2 hours. AND it's not even as good as the Cupertino location. i talked to a LA resident who said they drive to Cupertino bc this location is subpar.

I walked in and I looked like grandma lived in there, Me and my family waited like 20 minutes just to get seated! We got seated and we wait half a hour just to get our food someone came after us and got their food immediately, there was flys where we were sitting, the spoons and knifes were dirty! this place sucks would not recommend!

I took my best customer to breakfast. All the waiters seem to be Mexican men of military age . My waiter had English about a 3 out of 10 and just kept waving his hand at the pictures and I couldn’t understand him. At that point, I didn’t even try to explain to him how I wanted my eggs. Worse yet it seems like they’re understaffed and literally running from table to table.

Be aware. They only put strawberry in their “fresh fruit crepe” now. No more blueberry or blackberry. They told me the reason is someone complains about these two. What a nonsense!

Presentation is great, but this is far from the quality of other Original Pancake House locations. The coconut waffle was decent enough, but a little too soft and chewy. There was no coconut syrup, unfortunately. Their "tropical syrup" is far from tropical, consisting of orange and lemon. It tastes like straight orange rind. The maple syrup had the texture of water- not true syrup by any means. All it did was soak my pancakes. The hash browns we're on point though, and eggs were standard diner fare. Low quality coffee tasted fresh, but very weak- coffee flavored water. Better than 7-11, but not by much. The cost was astronomical- $13 for a waffle, $5 for hash browns, and $5 for scrambled eggs. You'd be far far better off at Denny's for half the price and twice the quality.

First of all the place needs to be updated. It smells like it has a pest problem and I should’ve walked out the minute. I smelled what smelled like pesticides. The food came out pretty quickly, which was good, and despite the fact that the omelette looked overcooked, the pancakes looked pretty good. On first taste of the pancakes I realized that something was horribly wrong. Not sure if the flour they used had gone bad, but the pancakes tasted rotten. Omelette was overcooked, but at least edible. Would absolutely never come back here again.

Unfortunately, this place was a little bit of a let down😔 i had high hopes... maybe a little too high🤷🏽‍♂️ the place was old and run down, staff were hard to communicate with, and the food wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be.... better luck next ti....... no, there wont be a next time.

The service was prompt and kind. They made sure that our water and coffee was filled and not without. My boyfriend and I decided to order an omelette. I ordered the bacon omelette with cheese, while he ordered the California omelette. When we got the omelettes, they looked dry and not normal. They had an odd smell and did not taste very good. Afterwards, our stomachs felt sick along with major nausea. The French toast was good, the sourdough bread was decent and the hashbrowns were eatable. If you come here, stick to the French toast.
