We had a great experience at Tostadas Restaurant. Our server was extremely nice, friendly, and very attentive, which made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was delicious, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. Everything we tried was tasty and satisfying. The café de olla was a standout, absolutely loved it. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.
This place is now one of my absolute favorites! If you like Horchata, they will not disappoint. The food was delicious. The lady server was the only one working but you wouldn't be able to tell BC of how fast and great she is at her job. She was attentive and professional. Super sweet and friendly. The place had music in the back round that wasn't an obnoxious kind of loud where you have to yell just to have a conversation. A bit pricey but worth it.Overall a great experience and can't wait to go again. Would most definitely recommend to any and all to go !
Love tostados and eat there frequently. The breakfast dishes, lunch and dinner menu are both rich with tasty choices and satisfying All at the same time. I love their shredded beef tostadas, but there huevos rancheros and in fact all their dishes are amazing. Highly recommend breakfast lunch or dinner.
The food was delicious and the portion sizes were generous! The atmosphere was nice and the service was great! The food came out quick and our server was very attentive! The Birria Pizza is AMAZING. One of my new top bay area foods and is a must try! The enchiladas were great as well, but the rice and beans were far better! I’d recommend splitting the Birria Pizza with another entree. Street corn was okay, however I would try a different appetizer next time. Great service and delicious food - i’ll definitely be back!
I'm surprised no one posted pics of the amazing artwork that is on every wall of this awesome restaurant! Food was great, recommended by a local and with good reason. We asked for a Mexican food place with both good food and good drinks. 5 stars!! The cool portraits of Mexican icons was a surprise and huge bonus. The artist is Artesluna ig.artesluna_ We went to the one in Santa Clara but there are two others, one in Campbell and on west San Carlos. Same artist has murals there too and I can't wait to see them myself.
This place is amazing ! I highly recommend it for real delicious Mexican food. Authentic flavors and spices with lots of delicious options to choose from. I loved how the restaurant walls are painted with Mexican artists and singers. We had birria tacos and chilaquiles verdes. Omg so delicious and out waitress was really nice. When it came down to paying the bill, she said it was on the house which we didn’t understand why but thought that it was such a sweet and nice thing for them to do. Hands down I would recommend everyone to come visit this place I didn’t get to try the drinks but they looked amazing. I also heard there is live music certain days which is amazing. Check this place out please you won’t regret it.
High quality Mexican cuisine. Came here without much in expectations, and got blown away. Hands down the best burrito I've had. Tons of detail and care put into the presentation of the food as well- you won't get this from any food truck. Plentiful seating, cool murals on the walls, great music, wonderful staff. Good place to get quality food while in San Jose!
The outside looks pretty unassuming when you first see it but once you walk through the doors you'll be amazed by the interior. It's huge! It has beautiful murals on the walls depicting various Latino icons, and its whole look is very modern/urban. The service was great and everything we ordered came out quickly and was DELICIOUS! I had the Hawaiian French Toast and it was to die for. And the Banana Churro dessert? OMG... This place is definitely a treasure and I can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend!
I really like this location. It’s huuuge! I’ve never seen this before- it’s pretty tucked away. The parking is pretty bad in this plaza. Parks are pretty small and tight together and it’s pretty busy inside. The Michelada is bommmmb! It’s huge! Full of spices and Mexican flavors. It made me so happy. It took me forever to drink and even came w shrimp. Our waitress took forever to return with small requests: like salsa, sour cream, asking for another drink, and even the check. That’s the only bad thing is that we would have ordered more things but she kept taking so long we were just ready to go. I went on a Sunday and it’s pretty packed. You add your name to the yelp list once arriving or before hand w the app. The food is delicious here! Probably the best bday potatoes I’ve ever had packed w Mexican spices and Chile. They were cooked perfectly! I got the soyrizo bfst burrito. It was just okay but I don’t eat pork and this was the only other option the waitress suggested. Maybe next time I’ll ask for chicken. The potatoes and michelada made up for it. They have awesome drinks and big potions just get prepared to wait for a table because this place is pretty popular! They have another location but it’s wayyy smaller DT on Santa Clara and 7th.
This was my second time dining at Tostadas, and once again, it was a pretty solid experience. I went with the Birria tacos—tender, flavorful, and satisfying—while my fiancé tried the Birria burger, which was a fun twist on a classic. We started with chips and salsa, which initially came out in a to-go container (a little odd for dine-in), but once we asked for a refill, they brought it out in a proper bowl. The El Toxico cocktail was a nice balance of sweet and tangy—definitely worth trying if you’re into fruity drinks. Overall, it’s a cool, casual spot for a quick bite or even a larger group hangout. Not mind-blowing, but consistently decent and enjoyable.
The food was amazing here! We’ve been here a handful of times before. We’ve tried their quesabirrias, flautas, carne asada and their fajitas and it’s all amazing. It’s only 4 stars because the service this time was a little slower. Maybe they were a little busier this time but it just took a while for staff to get to us after we sat down. This if a one off and hasn’t happened before though! Usually service is great. Also the restaurant is decorated beautifully with amazing artwork on the wall. They have artwork of very notable Mexican celebrities.
This place is great. Live band playing, the walls artfully decorated with massive murals of great Mexican movie stars, very nice new upholstery on their tables and a mobile drink cart with a knowledgeable mixologist ready to make you whatever your heart desires on the spot and very attentive waitstaff. The food was great. I had a Michelada with camarones and their birria tacos with a siide of consome. Delicious from the first bite to the last. The only issue and reason for not giving them 5 stars is because when we placed a drink order with our waiter it took a while to get those drinks to come out, and our food orders came out at different times, as in 5 minutes or more in between which caused for the first food that came out to lose its optimal temperature to consume it. Aside from those two issues. The place was fantastic and I would go back.
I hate to give this review but probably the management takes this feedback and makes some changes. Please read the whole review if this place is for you Food wise this place is 5/5. I had birria tacos..really moist, flavorful..others had wet burrito and enchiladas. The drinks are a bit watered down, but fun to drink Ambience wise this place is 1/5. The music is way too loud..been to a lot of loud Mexican places but this is unbearable. Not the best music system or acoustic of the hall.lioe space so the vocals and bass just saturates and gets to your head. You can't even hear the person next to you. We couldn't wait to finish our food and get out of the place
They keep deleting my review but I had a bad experience at this restaurant when going in just to order coffee no gretting no nothing they need to work on their customer service especially with people of color I still tipped the waitress $10 for two coffees even though I felt that it wasn’t needed after the fact that I had to go up to the side of bar and flag people down as an Afro Latino this should not be happening now if I was a regular Latino male I would of been greeted and talked to in a different way. The only reason why I tipped the waitress is because I use to be waiter so I know how it works
Place had us wait to be seated which was normal but then got seated only to never see a server or waitress ever again. Didn’t get no service no drinks no food nothing. For the amount of time spent there you’d think you’d get at least a water served but not even that.
