I had dinner at Miso Japanese Tapas with my daughter last night, and I can’t say enough about how impressed I was — from the food, to the service, to the overall vibe. It was a weekday night, so it wasn’t too crowded, but everything that came out of the kitchen was absolutely fantastic. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. The service matched the quality of the food — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming without ever feeling rushed. The whole atmosphere has a very cool, relaxed vibe that feels a bit “off the beaten path” in the best way. If you’re looking for a great sushi spot in Fort Lauderdale with incredible food, great service, and a chill ambiance, definitely check out Miso. I’ll absolutely be back!
Loved this place!! Food 10/10, Tatem was lovely! Helped us with suggestions and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious!! From the drinks to the food! We will definitely be back! Atmosphere also 10/10! Friday night and the place got packed real quick! Beautiful restaurant and ambiance! Wow wow wow!
OUTSTANDING!!! Long story short, we moved to FTL from Chicago a little over a year ago and have since struggled to find GREAT food here, especially Japanese food... well, not need to look any further! We have found our place! MISO Delivered BIG! We ordered four different dishes and each one of them was perfectly balanced, fresh, and delicious! If you love Japanese food and consider yourself a foodie, or if you just enjoy very good food, it’s a MUST!"
I’m here weekly if not more. Freshest fish. Great service. Comfortable setting. All around dopeness. Without a close 2nd, this is the best sushi in Fort Lauderdale. Also don’t sleep on the hot menu. The uni pasta is unlike anything I’ve had before. The steak is sinful. Every now and then they have special desserts (they’ll let you know when they do) and when they do - you order them. Tonight I had a lychee Tres leches cake that was divine. If this isn’t your go to for sushi and delicious Japanese tapas my heart hurts for you.
I'm in LOVE with MISO!! Delicious food and drink options. Ambience is perfect for date night, girl time, meetup... Parking is usually tough in this area but MISO validates. I found this hidden gem looking for a new place to host my calligraphy events and it's perfect! The owner is also the chef; so friendly and makes super unique dishes along with traditional favs. Must try!
Great spot great food. Lots of choices. The buns were amazing. Vivian was great. The sweet potato mochi dessert was amazing.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 A Culinary Masterpiece in Fort Lauderdale This isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a revelation. From the moment you walk in, you’re transported into a space that feels both exquisitely elegant and soulfully sweet. Every detail of the design whispers intention and care, creating an atmosphere that’s as visually stunning as it is emotionally comforting. And then comes the food. Every dish is crafted with such love and precision, it’s as if the chefs are telling a story with each bite. The sauces are layered with depth and flavor, the sushi is a work of art—delicate, balanced, and bursting with freshness. You can taste the kindness in the preparation, the thoughtfulness in the presentation, and the love in every single bite. It’s rare to feel so deeply connected to a meal, but here, you do. The owner is an extraordinary individual whose warmth radiates throughout the entire experience. The staff are just as remarkable—gracious, attentive, and genuinely kind. You’re not just dining here; you’re being welcomed into something special. If you’re in Fort Lauderdale and looking for a place that nourishes both body and spirit, this Japanese restaurant is a must. It’s unforgettable.
We visited this restaurant twice and would like to highlight the taste and freshness of the Japanese tapas, as well as the impeccable service. On weekdays, it's not very crowded, but on Friday and Saturday evenings, it's better to book a table in advance. We also liked the loft-style design and the young, trendy crowd! The portions are small, but you can order several and try different things! It's quite expensive for such small portions, but it's really worth it!
Me and my friend had the best dinner last night !service was Great, food was delicious. I’ll definitely come back 🙏the only bad thing I can say -it was a little bit hot and seemed like the AC had some issues.. But overall it’s was wonderful And don’t skip their dessert
We had a fantastic dining experience at Miso. The portions are small (but the prices per meal are not high either), so we ordered eight different dishes for the two of us and finished them all. The food was fresh and delicious, the atmosphere was relaxing, and our waitress was friendly and helped enhance our experience by giving us great recommendations.
First time and we were both impressed. The food is excellent and the place works. You can talk without excessive noise level, which I would say was energetic. Turnover is pretty fast and we left full! The menu is huge. As a suggestion I think maybe 3 set menus would work great to showboat a wide range and make ordering easier. And for the gourmet lover maybe a chefs set menu? On the negative side. One of our group is a non drinker. Have some mocktails of alcohol free beers on your list please. Look forward to next time and I think we will take some 0% beer just in case.
Just had an incredible meal at MISO Japanese Tapas, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch from start to finish. We started with the spicy miso soup, which had the perfect kick to warm things up. The signature tots were a game-changer—crispy, flavorful, and ridiculously addictive. And the dragon roll? Easily one of the best I’ve had, fresh and packed with flavor. Every dish we tried was amazing, and the attention to detail in both presentation and taste really stood out. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on both quality and experience, MISO is definitely worth checking out!

The service at this Japanese restaurant is excellent, and the food is absolutely amazing. Every dish we tried was delicious and perfectly prepared. Special thanks to Tamay for her outstanding service—she is incredibly attentive and made our experience even better. Highly recommend it!
Always a great dining experience here. Tatum gave impeccable service suggesting an amazing truffle topped roll special they had. We will be back soon!
When you First look at the price you don't realize. Why is the average price per person like $30 until you realize you're going to need four to five of these tapas plates in order for you to feel full. The sushi rolls are going to have to be a must because I don't know how else you're going to get fill up. But beware, just because it's on the sushi roll, section doesn't mean it's a rice roll. Read the description. The food was delicious but the portions were super small. Like 1/3 of my stuffed squash flowers was empty and got no filling... The menu is VERY limited! Would I go again alone? No. But I'd bring someone visiting if they wanted a nice ambience dinner, with unique-ish food.
It’s amazing to see Chef Thuan and his staff doing such an amazing and incredible work, everything was wonderful! Our server Vivian was super kind, sweet and helpful. All the tapas we had were delicious! The service was incredible! The environment wonderful! Thank you 🙏🏼!

I don't think I've ever left a review for a restaurant before, but this restaurant deserves 5 stars.... My fiancee and I have tried a lot of sushi places in the Fort Lauderdale area, but we recently moved to a new home, and we decided to order from MISO while we were unpacking. We were blown away by how amazing the food was when it arrived. Normally ordering raw appetizers for takeout is a gamble, but the quality of food was so fresh, we might as well have been at the restaurant. There was NO "fishy taste" to any of our food. It is most definitely the freshest sushi and sashimi we have ever had here. We will never order from another sushi place in Fort Lauderdale again - only MISO from here on out!

I discovered this gem completely by accident while hunting for a quick snack… instead I ended up having a full-on feast of some seriously good food. The service was great. My server, Tatem, was extremely helpful and very professional. She really knows how to paint a picture when describing the menu items. You can tell she’s very knowledgeable about the food. Before I even ordered, she offered to walk me through the house specials for the night, and honestly they sounded amazing—but I already had my eye on a few things. The ginger salad was super fresh and delicious. The fried rice squares were bomb. The pork belly was bomb. The short rib tacos were bomb. Honestly, everything was 🔥 . Washed it down with good cold brews. I was working on my laptop while I ate, and the service was perfect—never pushy, but always attentive when needed. Tatem checked in just the right amount and made the whole experience feel natural and easy. The restaurant itself is beautiful—clean, well kept, and honestly a piece of art. The music was chill, the vibe was right, and even the restrooms were spotless. I’ll definitely be coming back. I ended up spending about $100 just on myself and happily tipped Tatem well because the service genuinely deserved it.
Went to Miso to see what all the fuss was about and it was an amazing experience. My friend and I had never really tried Japanese food before so we really didn't know what to order. It turned out not to be a problem because our server Marlei knew exactly what we needed. She recommended and we ordered a Maboroshi sake bottle, Madai rolls, Pork Belly, and to top it all of my favorite the Tiramisu cake. Thank you Marlei for making our night unforgettable. You were so sweet and I haven't laughed like that in a while. Would definitely recommend and plan on heading back soon!!!

I finally had the chance to check out a relatively new place called MISO Japanese Tapas in Fort Lauderdale, FL. It's a laid-back restaurant known for its modern Japanese cuisine and Asian fusion, featuring tapas, seafood, sushi, and ramen. The atmosphere is lively, the dishes are innovative, and the service is outstanding. A big shoutout to Chefs Thuan Lam and Jay Barashari for creating such a fantastic experience. From the beginning, the customer service was exceptional. MISO generously offers to cover your parking ticket for nearby parking, whether it's across the street or just around the corner. The place features an open kitchen, lively artwork, and provides a cool, cozy atmosphere perfect for a date, a local visit, or meeting up with friends. MISO is tapas style, so the portions are great for shareable bites. TAPAS Miso Seabass - Miso glazed Foodie Chews Review – AMAZING!! OMG now this was a party in my mouth. Cooked to perfection and the flavor was everything HOWEVER we all agreed that it was extremely salty but still the best out of everything that we had. Seared Scallops and Corn - Corn puree, tomato, shiso Foodie Chews Review – The description might have sounded dull, but it was anything but boring—it was actually the second-best dish of the evening. I experienced flavors ranging from Southern to Indian South Asian cuisine. Belly Tasting - Belly cut tuna, salmon, yellowtail nigiri Foodie Chews Review: The fish belly is succulent and rich, boasting a tender yet delicate texture, with a hint of sweetness. It's incredibly fresh and complemented by delectable toppings, making it highly satisfying. Squash Blossom Crab Rangoon - Snow crab stuffed squash blossom, tempura fried, sweet and sour sauce Foodie Chews Review: Not your local Chinese spot crab Rangoon but a very kicked up not version. Ha! Its exactly what the description described however I don’t recall the sauce being sweet nor sour but different. The dish was different in a good way but nothing mind blowing. I saw the crab however I did not taste the minced crab meat but paired with the sauce it was good. Ceviche - White fish, red onion, jalapeño, cherry tomatoes & cilantro Foodie Chews Review: Did not try however my guest stated that it was very flavorful and quite good. Miso Edamame - Miso-butter, garlic, togarashi Foodie Chews Review: Did not try however I was told that they were delicious. Dragon - Shrimp tempura, cucumber, topped with eel and avocado, spicy eel sauce Foodie Chews Review: I did not try (to basic for me haha) however my guest enjoyed this roll. Fried Short Rib Dumpling - Spicy ponzu (4 dumplings) Foodie Chews Review: Tender meat stuffed dumpling with light flavor. Needed more flavor but paired with the sauce it was good. Overall: Solid B+ (BTW Nice RnB classics) I cant wait to go back and get what I really want such as the Conch and Octopus Salad __________ the Gilliebu (asparagus, scallion, wrapped in snapper, baked with sriracha aioli), __________ Beef Tataki (japanese A5 wagyu, sake-soy, togarashi, sesame, fried garlic) __________ Fried Oysters w/ a Kimchi Tartar Sauce __________ Miso Hungry (tuna, salmon, white fish, asparagus, chive, cucumber wrapped, miso-vinaigrette) __________ Tuna Nachos (Tuna, Scallion, avocado, Nori, spicy mayo, eel sauce, KIMCHI HONEY over wonton chips)

Mmm I don’t know what to think about this one… First we were asked if we have a reservation (normal) then the hostess offers us the worst table available right to the side of a large party of more than 15 people, and the table was in the middle of the room. I thought the place was full but nope, restaurant was empty until the time we left, finally We were seated at the bar. About the food, Portions are small but prices are full! If it’s a tapas restaurant then charge as tapas, not as a full meal, maybe my opinion. Tuna tartare was whatever, maybe the worse I’ve had ever. Lastly, sushi rolls, the ratio rice/fish was not balanced (see the pictures). The Cali-Co was good, flavorful and different, but on the TGIF the strongest flavor I could tasted was the fried flavor of the tempura! In the middle of the rolls we understood we have to order something else, dishes are really small.

I went to this restaurant twice, and my experience was a bit mixed. The first time, I was delighted: everything was excellent, both in flavor, presentation, and the service was impeccable. In my second visit, I ordered a ramen and some noodles, and I was disappointed. Both lost their characteristic texture and flavor, which instead reminded me of noodles similar to Italian pasta, rather than the Asian flavor profile I was expecting. Despite that, I want to highlight that the service was very good in both visits. I think I would return, but I hope they maintain consistency in the dishes.
Big fail - first and last time, sadly. We live in Ft lauderdale and decided to try Miso on a Tuesday evening. Nice amount of business not packed. The sake we ordered they were out of. Then we started with the tuna crispy rice - good but OVERLY crispy. Snow crab California roll - OK - shrimp tempura roll - good. But they originally sent us something other than the California roll and we noticed the mistake as she set it on the table she too it back and brought us the California roll. The short rib japche was disappointing. Very small portion not authentic tasting overly saucy the 3 tiney prices of short rib were cooked nicely. In the end when we received our bill we were charged for the extra roll which was here mistake and the California roll. Safely the food is just not good enough to ever return and service needs help.
The food was good, but the service left a lot to be desired. I understand it was Saturday and the place was full, but waiting 40 minutes for one roll without anyone coming over to update us or explain the delay was frustrating. What made it worse was that the staff kept walking by our table and avoiding eye contact instead of simply acknowledging us. Communication would have made a big difference.
I always try to give a restaurant 3 trys..... First try was a wednesday evening. My wife and I stopped by just to see how it was. Quick app and sake to try a new place. Nice atmosphere. I got the octopus salad and my wife the bao buns. Both were horrible, my wife said her bao buns were very greezy and the pork very thin. My octopus salad was the same. Honesty it should have been called octopus carpaccio with how thinly the octopus was sliced. It also had a very off putting fishy flavor and smell. But every restaurant has its hiccups that's why I try to give three tries. Our second try was on a Saturday evening. We figured weekend better staff maybe the food would have been better. We never found out. When we arrived, the restaurant was maybe three fourths full. No line at the door. We waited at the front/host stand for over 5 minutes without anyone ever coming up to seat or acknowledge us. We finally approached an employee and asked if we could sit at the sushi bar. We were told we could, so we did. We were seated for 10 minutes, made eye contact with multiple servers and sushi chefs behind the bar. The single gentleman to our left, had a server and the couple to our right who were cashing out had a different server, neither of which made any contact with us. We were never offered a food menu, water, or anything! No one spoke to us, no hey, I'll be with you in a minute, nothing! I'm extremely disappointed, this restaurant was recommended to us because we are sake and sushi lovers. We were excited to try a new spot. After the extremely disappointing food on our first try and the abysmal service that we never received on our second. We will never be back. Also, they charge you a dollar per person for tap water. First visit.
