Well a bit more expensive than other seafood eateries in the area. We highly recommend Pier 6. The food is absolutely exceptional. The view of the water, the cozy outdoor basket chairs and sports bar. Exceptional weight staff. You must visit Pier 6.

This is one of the first restaurants that I've been to since I moved to Texas that wasn't a chain restaurant. I'm used to going to locally owned restaurants and this place did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I came here kind of as a spur of the moment thing, he was able to get a reservation and we just had some light fare and drinks. Love the atmosphere and vibe.

Date night with the wife. Don't skip out on happy hour. Nice view we had next to the window viewing out at the pier and sun going down. Service was great. Food was excellent. Went on a Tueaday for 50 cent oysters. Definitely would go back.

What a special place to hang out and have some drinks and appetizers! Right on the water , open air feel with a beautiful outdoor bar and seating area. The service was exceptional even knowing they were busy. Arrive by boat or car with plenty of free parking. This place has two bars one on the inside and out, I definitely recommend outside but either are fantastic. The atmosphere here is unparalleled to any other place in the area. We had the crawfish empanadas and let me tell you “unbelievable” , do not pass these bad boys up! You may want to order two ! For dessert we had a banana mousse! Layers upon layers of flavor ! The only issue I had with this is it didn’t need the raspberry sauce garnish , I would make a banana cream garnish with cinnamon and vanilla bean finish ! What a spot and we will be back often! Bravo!

Our relatives told us about this little gem in San Leon that overlooks Galveston Bay. What a great place with delicious food and excellent service. We did not have a bad dish, from raw oysters to grilled oysters to lobster roll and crispy snapper and seafood gumbo. People were parking their boats on the dock and coming in to dine. It was quite busy at lunchtime on a Saturday.

This place is no joke. Every single thing I have gotten here has been amazing (except one time I had pasta and the lobster was really chewy) other than that it’s the best. Atmosphere is perfect and service is phenomenal. Don’t forget to get 50¢ oysters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays! The back patio is such a vibe and we also love sitting at the bar and watching the guys shuck the oysters. My brother had his rehearsal dinner here and it was so great! Also a great spot for photos!

We had a wonderful afternoon at Pier 6. It superceded all of my expectations. From the moment we arrived our waitress Sarah was ever so friendly and entertaining. Very attentive to the details. With her guidance and recommendations we could not go wrong on the cocktails and meals we ordered. Everything sounded delicious so we decided to taste a bit of everything. Very efficient service - food and drinks arrived quickly. We had the fresh and hot oysters and both were delicious. The seafood fondue, lobster bisque and stuffed crab were excellent choices. The restaurant has a great vibe and atmosphere. Beautiful views of Galveston bay from anywhere in the restaurant. Lots of space and choices for seating. The outdoor area is great for lounging and relaxing whilst enjoying the beautiful sweeping view of the bay. So glad to have experienced Pier 6

We used to visit this place once a month or so when it first opened. Recently, we’ve noticed that they’ve changed some of their entrées. I always order the seafood pasta and I noticed it now it only comes with half of lobster tail. It used to come with a full lobster tail. I went there for my birthday dinner with some friends, and we saw something about happy hour on the table setting. However, when asking our server he didn’t provide much clarification about what exactly the happy hour entailed. It seemed like he was apprehensive that we wouldn’t tip him or spend money if we knew too much about the happy hour. We genuinely wanted to enjoy a good time, delicious food, but we were curious about what this happy hour offered. We might not go here for a while but still like it. The drinks were delicious. The food is still good.

Stopped by here for some food by the water. Great place very busy need to make reservations. Everybody is coming in from cars to boats! I had to wait an hour! I just sat at the bar, got tired of waiting. I had the Oysters Rockefeller and the Grouper sandwich, Smash burger, salad. The food was good, but the oysters were very small. Not bad place to eat by the water. Happy eating! 😋

Our family had a wonderful time at Pier 6 Restaurant. The atmosphere was lovely, with great installations and stunning views of the sea and pier. We especially enjoyed the beautiful sunset. The food was average, but we did enjoy the fried calamari and fried snapper. Good service service. A great bonus was the opportunity to take a leisurely walk along the pier after our meal. I highly recommend Pier 6 for a family-friendly dining experience with a beautiful setting

We visited Pier 6 on a bustling Saturday evening around 6:30 PM, and the place was absolutely packed. The popularity of the restaurant was immediately apparent, but the downside was the noise level—conversation at our table of four adults and a child in a high chair was a challenge, as it was difficult to hear each other over the din. Appetizers & Oysters The highlight of our meal was undeniably the blood oysters. These were the star of the menu—fresh, briny, and perfectly shucked, they stood out as the must-order item and showcased the restaurant’s reputation for quality Gulf Coast seafood. The appetizers overall were generously portioned and quite good, offering a promising start to the meal. Main Courses Unfortunately, the main courses did not live up to the standard set by the appetizers. Across the board, our entrees lacked the seasoning and depth of flavor we expected from a restaurant specializing in coastal cuisine. While the menu is broad and the seafood is fresh, execution on the main dishes was underwhelming, leaving our party disappointed after such a strong beginning. Service & Atmosphere Service was mediocre. Our server was polite but seemed overwhelmed by the busy crowd, and there was little attention to detail or engagement with our table. Given the size of the crowd and the lively waterfront setting, some delays and distractions are understandable, but the overall experience felt impersonal and rushed. Family-Friendliness On a positive note, the restaurant was accommodating to families, providing a high chair and enough space for our group. The water views and lively atmosphere make it a pleasant spot for groups, though those seeking a quiet or intimate dinner may want to visit at a less busy time. Summary Pier 6 offers a vibrant, energetic setting with top-notch oysters and satisfying appetizers. However, the main courses fell short due to bland seasoning, and the service did not rise above average. If you’re visiting, come for the oysters and the view—but temper expectations for the rest of the meal and be prepared for a noisy, bustling environment.

My experience at Pier 6 was disappointing. The waiter was not attentive at all — drinks were often empty, and appetizers arrived before our drinks, which felt rushed and disorganized. Despite requesting salt and pepper, they weren’t available on the table, and the food lacked flavor overall, with almost no seasoning. The oysters were the highlight and by far the best part of the meal, but even they weren’t particularly memorable. On a positive note, the interior was nicely decorated, which added some visual appeal. Unfortunately, the service and food quality didn’t meet expectations, so I don’t think I’ll be returning.
