Copper Cafe at the Madonna Inn offers a unique, memorable dining experience with a retro vibe. Customers rave about the friendly service, especially mentioning server Forest. The pink champagne cake and thick bacon are popular. Expect a potentially noisy atmosphere and slightly higher prices.

This place is gorgeous, even the bathrooms!! If you collect smashed pennies, they have at least two different machines (8 designs altogether). I should’ve got the almond croissant. The coffee was good. Everybody was so friendly and attentive.
Cute and quirky cafe that offers something everyone in the family will like. I highly recommend saving room for dessert and trying one of their famous cake slices.
We had a wonderful experience at the Copper Café at the Madonna Inn. The atmosphere is always unique, but the food and service really stole the show this time. We ordered the Reuben sandwich, which was cooked perfectly—crispy, cheesy, and flavorful. We also split a Neapolitan milkshake that was absolutely delicious. A huge shout-out to our server, Alejandro, who took excellent care of us. He was friendly, attentive, and made the meal even better. Highly recommend asking for him if you stop by!
Glad I made reservations for NYE: staff were courteous and effective despite rolling big crowds. Full steakhouse menu is available in the Copper Cafe, which is crucial. Great lineup of steak and seafood, paired with finely-tuned wine selections. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT, such as the sainted Black Forest Cake. Madonna Inn is a generation-spanning icon for several good reasons, and dining is high among them.
Everything at Copper Café & Bakery is uniquely decorated, making the atmosphere really memorable. The waitstaff were attentive and quick. We initially had a wait of about an hour and 15 minutes for a table, but there was no wait at the bar, which has the same menu, so we opted for that. The food was delicious, and the bakery offers a wide variety of treats. In addition to the café and bakery, the Madonna Inn has gift shops, a wine store, and the beautiful Secret Garden to explore. Overall, a lovely experience and a must-see stop!
Came in for breakfast after staying in the hotel. Food was really good, the omelet was so big, me and my wife shared 1, and the biscuit with butter and jam, so good. Staff was really nice, and place was clean and organized well. The baked goods looked amazing. Definitely recommend this place, and i can't wait to come back and try lunch or dinner, I hear good things
First time coming here, visiting from the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania. Food was fantastic but more importantly our server Forest was incredible. He was very great to talk to, and tried to make our experience as special as possible. He was joking around with our 5 year old son, making him laugh, just creating great memories for him of our trip. That guy is an asset to your business. He’s great with people and children. We loved our time there.
If you want something different that will tickle all your senses this is the place to experience. On entry I noticed a full bakery and then as we were seated all the tables and chairs were solid copper. On the table were drinking chalices of different colors. Ordered a traditional breakfast, coffee, and a slice of pink champagne cake. The breakfast was great but the cake was totally out of control. The slice was huge and loud and of course pink. This one slice tasted amazing but size was enough for 3 people, this is very serious cake done right. This restaurant is unique and a must experience if in the area. The hotel is even more over the top with unique decor in each room including the restrooms. Highly recommend.
This is not just a restaurant, but an experience. There’s an old-school 1970’s/1980’s Americana vibe, and the food is REALLY good! Had Bennedict and the hollandaise was just ok (probably a mix), but a nice thick slab of ham on gluten free bread and perfectly crispy hash browns and fruit, which tasted very fresh. And of course anyone who stops MUST eat cake there, which is super fluffy and whipped creamy. The pink one is what they’re famous for

Super yummy cinnamon roll & amazing thick bacon at all day breakfast in the Copper cafe. Recommend reserving a table, especially on weekends- to avoid long wait time for table. Service was amazing …
This is a very uniquely decorated hotel and restaurant. We came in the mid afternoon, around 2, and it was moderately busy. The lighting is quite dim if you're away from a window. The food was good, maybe not the best ever, but it was hearty and filling American food. We had the pink champagne cake for dessert which was extravagant and good.
My go-to breakfast dish at restaurants is Eggs Benedict, and it’s the first thing I try when visiting a new place. Their version was pretty good overall. The ham steak was generous—about a quarter inch thick—which was a little more than I personally prefer, and the hollandaise sauce was on the mild side for my taste. My wife ordered bacon, eggs, and hash browns, and she enjoyed her meal. Overall, a solid breakfast spot, though the Eggs Benedict wasn’t quite my favorite.
This review is for the Madonna in Copper Café and bakery My visit there was on a Sunday, mid morning, and the place was packed! Located just off of Highway 101, with a convenient freeway exit named Madonna Road, and an easy Access back onto the freeway when you're ready to head north or south to your final destination. Luckily, there were several seats available at the breakfast bar. And, after I perch to myself upon a comfortable cushioned bar chair, I was readily greeted by Steve, a formable waiter, who memorizes your orders without taking notes! A friendly fellow, most happy to serve and provide you with whatever you need for your meal. I ordered the fiesta omelette, and, my oh my, what a plentiful plate of tasty food… I think I gained 2 pounds just looking at the damn meal, as my mouth drool for the first bite. I don't normally leave any food on my plate, but this time, it was a bit too much for me to consume every morsel But wait, there's more… Along with the meal you see in the picture, what you don't see is the giant size biscuit that was served with fresh strawberry jam and butter! Which I ate before my meal arrived. That was the reason why I couldn't finish the meal. The large biscuit was soft, fluffy and warm. Add to that the strawberry jelly and the melted butter, and that my friends is your dessert! No need to spend $12.95 for a slice of pie, lol. The only negative aspect that I saw and experienced, was the long staircase down to where the bathrooms were located. If you have any kind of mobility issues, there's no way you can get down to those bathrooms that I could see other than the steep staircase. So, grabbing onto the rail for dear life, I took it one step at a time, I made it safely to the bottom. In the men's bathroom there are plenty of mirrors, carved wood bathroom stalls and an old-fashioned water cranking device that wasn't quite working right. Other than that, the experience of revisiting this restaurant after not having been there for 25 years, the place look exactly the same at this recent visit. When driving up or down the 101 freeway, Madonna Inn restaurant is a must stop location location! Cheers, bon appétit! ( minus one star because of the steep staircase down to the bathrooms with no visible means of mobility challenged people, or wheelchair-bound people to access the bathroom down below)

Well it’s hard to even explain. Very bizarre place. Packed on this Saturday night. Good bad. prices very high. Don’t quite get it.
Had to go, due to the history of this place. What the interior - gaudy, fun and retro all at the same time. Went for dinner and had the choice to also order from the more expensive Steakhouse menu,…
breakfast hash browns were good. The omelet was dry and flavorless. The biscuit large but to dry even with the entire little cup of butter. Servers are AWESOME. COOKS to try eating what they cook.

Very unique place to visit stay or have dinner. We walked around and had dinner. Food was good not super noteworthy but it’s more about the experience and ambiance. Definitely worth visiting.
Killed some time here while waiting for our car to get charged up in the adjoining parking lot. This is a basic coffee shop menu for breakfast so we had basic scrambled eggs, bacon and hash browns…
