Great atmosphere in a really nice neighborhood. My only dilemma is that it has no drive through. I found out the reason why they have no drive through is because the city of San Louis Obispo want people to engage with one another instead of being lazy 😔. Joking about the lazy part 😁. Anyways, love the city and location of this McDonald's.

Hands down the best McD. The fries always fresh, hot, and perfect. The ice cream machine always works. Kind and understanding staff, even when it's very busy.

Food is fresh and crazy quick whether it's 2pm or 1am. Staff is friendly and super efficient. Online orders are wven quicker. Burgers, fries and deals are great . Use the app for great deals.

Stopped here mainly to grab a fork since another restaurant didn’t give me any with my takeout. I bought some fries anyway just because. You order completely by yourself using one of the kiosks which was easy and quick. I did get my fries very quickly and the workers were nice. Strange I didn’t notice a drive-thru at this location. It is busy here so maybe for future a drive thru would help! A medium fry being over $3 is crazy for McDonald’s though.

It was very fast and the cashiers are nice and listen closely to your order. This place is for the most part a no bs McDonald’s location. They are very good with getting the orders from the kiosk so you can feel confident in skipping the line and not waiting forever for your food and that they get it right the first time. Just a side note but the parking lot has arrows telling you which way you go into the parking lot and which way you are supposed to go out and people ignore that all the time. Yesterday i was trying to get in and someone was trying to exit through the entrance and was getting all bent out of shape.

when one is utterly famished, and there's no time for elegant dining, McD's is an absolute God-send; this one in particular rang my proverbial bell! It's the cleanest fast-food venue I ever encountered; if one prefers using a high-tech kiosk, they have several; however, i'm old- fashioned, and prefer ordering via a human; they are totally fine with that. For breakfast, i love McD's sausage b'kfast burrito; any other time, their innately low-calorie McNuggets just can't be beat; i stretch their 20-count throughout the day while driving 🚗

Customer service can be hit or miss here. Lately, it's been more hit than miss, so I'm pretty happy about that. The kiosk system for placing orders has really grown on me based on the shorter wait times. If you're decent with CPUs, you might be able to jump a couple folks in line by When I say thank you, they usually just ignore me and walk away. At times, there's a bit of a language barrier with some members of the staff. Not very competitive price point and there seem to be too many errors with my orders given the higher than usual cost. I really try not to eat here if I can avoid it; this has nothing to do with a lack of nutritional value by the way. What's strange is the fact that their receipts incentivize the customer with free food during their next visit for providing a HIGHLY SATISFIED review... Is there an option for HIGHLY QUESTIONABLE?

*Started at 2 stars* For past the few months now, every time I have come here or ordered through Uber Eats the order has either been forgotten about or incomplete (combos missing drinks, fries, ordering of extra pickles on burgers, etc.). This didn't used to be a problem a few months ago, but now it is. I suggest staying away from here until they get their acts together. This is the last time I'm coming here for a long time. *EDIT* I thought it was time to give the local McDonald's through Doordash this time around. I am pleased to say that they cleaned up their act!! Packaging was tight and neat. All my items were there placed for proper weight distribution. Food was still hot. Great job, guys! Now let's work on what extra pickles look like 😂😂😂. But seriously, glad to see progress!

San Luis doesn't permit drive throughs in the city, so all guests had to walk into this McDonald's, which made for a crowded front area. People were encouraged to use the automated ordering kiosks since they seemed short-staffed. The food was fine. I guess the hectic atmosphere is the result of being in SLO.

Open 24hrs is a big plus for around here. In general a very good McDonald's in terms of getting my (sometimes pretty complicated) orders correct but at 3am they switch to only breakfast (so no nuggets, burgers, etc.) until 10:30am which can be a late night bummer if you aren't savvy. Enjoy!

This is the future here today. I hadn't been inside a McDonald's in ages, as I don't have any need to eat what they offer. But on this occasion I was in need of cheap coffee so I decided to stop by this location. I was surprised to see giant digital kiosks greeting me as I entered. You place your order on these kiosks and it is ready within minutes. They even have a screen behind the counter giving you the status of your order. My coffee was ready in less than 30 seconds. Amazing.

The only thing I didn't like was there was no drive-through. Otherwise, great food as always

This is one of the best ones in the area. Of course it's not a drive through but the staff makes up for it. They are always quick and friendly. They know what they are doing and they do it well. The food has always been top notch! Like it actually looks like the picture! Fresh and consistent!

Now that ordering has become automated, they are working towards getting that fifth start. Used to catch some attitude from the counter now and then. Orders come out quick and even staff got grumpy faces on I try to cheer them up by being thankful

I really like the workers here but I usually only come here for coffee. The coffee does seem a bit watered down here. Otherwise, great Mcdonalds. 👍

Be aware no drive thru, curbside or dine in only. Curbside is the quickest out of all McDonald's locations I've been to. Parking is tight. Food here is always freshly done.

I can't say much about service because the kiosks are pushed now, kinda sad. No issues while using it though. The food came hot & fresh. The burger actually tasted good, which is not something I can usually say about McD's. Kiddo was happy with nuggets & fries too.

This Mickey D's is a busy little Bee with people coming and going constantly. The food is good for being fast food. The staff on the other hand not so good. It's odd cause the younger newer staff are actually pretty nice while the managers and seasoned staff can be rude at times. The design is poor as people trying to grab there food and sit must walk through the line of people trying to order. I guess the designer of this McDonalds dropped the ball on that. If you enjoy McDonald's food and want cheaper prices, get their app. My favorite is buying 1 double cheese burger and getting the 2nd for free! Another regular offer is a free Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese, Big Mac, or 10 piece Chicken McNuggets when you buy one. Of course their are other offers, but these 2 are my favorites.

It's a typical fast food restaurant, I don't care for the computer ordering service trying to up sell me before I complete my order.

I've always loved McDonald's, but the last several times I've been and ordered fries it has been disappointing. It appears that they just don't cook them long enough. I stopped trying the app because it always fails at this location. They want to see the code the app won't give me after it shows payment complete. How can I show you the code when it wont give it to me? That's when they offer to write up a new order on the register, but what about the one I already did? One issue is enough for me because it would probably confuse things if I complained to corp about the issue. Last time it happened I drove to Jack in the Box. This time I went to Burger King. They just can't get it coordinated with the app, which is a problem at Corp. You would think the local ones would complain to corp to get it fixed but I guess they don't want my business. is McDonald's I can't give it more than three stars no matter what. McDonald's has the worst deals in the fast food industry. That being said they just remodeled this McDonald's and it looks good and it's clean. But that's about as far as I'm going. The service is okay over there but to drink locations really nice and out of the way at the front register. But why would you hide the dollar menu on the side wall or nobody can see it that's because you don't want nobody to use it that's super lame.

Hopefully this was just an anomaly. Came in last week and the small lobby was really crowded with little room for spacing because they shut off the dining room. Not suggesting that it should have been open for eating, just for a place for people waiting to place or pick up their orders. They have about 6 kisoks for self-placing orders but I don't think there is even close to 6 feet between them and it is already in a small area where people are waiting to place orders with a cashier and waiting for order pick up. It's made even smaller than normal by the self-serve drink area being corded off with an employee there filling drink orders. Then the kiosk where I placed my order did not have any receipt paper. Although someone kindly got me a receipt from elsewhere, I did not see anyone trying to fix the situation for the next person. Also, I have never felt that McDonald's ever shorted me on an order or fries but hey, if you pay almost $4 for a large, you don't expect it to be about 2/3 full. The person behind the counter seemed upset that I asked that it be fixed and only added a little more. Never had a problem before so I will hope this was just an off day.

I just needed a fast place to get breakfast. Some of the worst food I've had in a while. Coffee was undrinkable. I was hoping for a little bit better. The homeless and the smell of human waist in the parking lot Just topped it off.

Nothing particularly wrong with the food, and the employees were friendly enough. The main complaint is that I was forced to use the electronic kiosk to order instead of being able to talk to a human. Not only was that extremely difficult and painful for my arthritic hands and shoulders, but it is cold compared to being able to communicate with a human being. Also, early in the morning, navigating the electronic menu is frustrating. Service was fast enough. McDonald's food is good enough for once in a while when you don't have time to make breakfast or sit down somewhere nice, but, especially as quality has declined over the years, it's not good enough to earn them more stars than they lost over the horrible ordering experience.

Came in around 4am to grab breakfast and realizing my meal was being put together WITHOUT gloves, after seeing the women in the front touch multiple surfaces and touch her face! Disgusting!!!! I would have put her name down but her jacket was covering her name tag.

With the hourly wages now paid to Mac workers , the prices for burgers , fries , drinks , etc . are too high . I haven't been to Mickey D ' s in a long time . Save your money . Don ' t go there .

Used the 'order here' kiosk thinking the order would get in quickly, but I was wrong. People coming in after us recieved their order before ours. More disappointing was they put cheese on a quarter of my sons chicken sandwich, who has sensory issues and will not eat food if he sees cheese on it. We definitely will not return unless it's for soft drinks.

one of the shittiest mcdonalds experiences you can have, this place doesn't let anyone use their bathrooms after 8 or 9pm every day, despite staying open til 2am and not having to worry about a drive thru. this directly impacts delivery service drivers, whom they heavily rely on, the most in my opinion.

The staff here are very impatient and that's if you can even get someone to take your order they try and make you order off the self service kiosk which if your paying cash is a total waste of time since you have to go to the counter to pay anyhow. Then 8 out of the 10 times that we've been there are foods only been made correctly maybe twice then they want to act like you're being a nuisance when you tell them that your food is made incorrectly.

We ordered some food to go, the nuggets were missing. No biggie. Should’ve double checked on my end. However when we called, as we would like the money back or the nuggets. In this economy? Duh. We are broke, gimmie my nuggies or my monies. They answered the phone and then set it down. Didn’t say anything, just set the phone down. Thinking they might come back, I then listened to the musical stylings of the background noise at McDonald’s for 15+ mins. Long enough to physically drive back to McDonald’s to get the nuggets. Accidents happen but WOW. They did give us a 10 piece instead of the 6 piece we ordered. Additional star added for that.

This is the second time I have come to this “24hr” McDonald's to find it closed. There’s just a handwritten sign on the door that says “closed for maintenance” and the lights are turned off.

Really SLOW! Disorganized operations. Homeless setting up shop inside charging phones and getting refills on drinks. Doesn't make for a good environment with all the sketchy people posting up in the place.

The order kiosks are a joke, only one employee available to take orders - VERY clunky and slow. We won’t be going to McDonalds as long as they operate in this cashless and “humanless” manner.

Ordered online for take out. just a McChicken, Mcdouble, and some fries. Drove home and noticed the McChicken wasn't in the bag. I guess I should have checked the bag when I was there but it's pretty pathetic that they miss a whole sandwich on a 3 item order. So always double check your bag before you leave because McDonald's employees can't count.

They didn't want to accept cash. This has happened to me three times, twice last year and today. So I walked out. I'll go to Burger King.

This location is garbage. Heres why. Before I walked in to the store I made an order through an app and i was waiting for my food for 10mins and it didnt come out. So i went to the cashier asking what's going on with my order the guy said it went through and made me wait another 10 mins. And guess what? My order didnt go through. So i went up to him again asked about my order he checked again and gave my order. And heres the main part the next day i found out that he charged me five times and now they dont wanna give my money back until i actually get charged five times!! Total bs. Poor customer service and no responsibility.

Geez, how hard is it to order a combo with a milkshake instead of a soft drink? Apparently, too difficult for the guy behind the cash register. First, he tells me they can't do that with a milkshake so I'll have to order it separately. What the heck? Mind you, he said the word milkshake at least once. When I get my order, it includes a smoothie instead of a milkshake. So I take it back and they bring me the strawberry milkshake. I remember the day when McDonald's were rated #1 for their milkshakes. Wow...not anymore. The milkshake was the worst. And the quarter pounder had absolutely no flavor at all. Sat in the lobby and watched 4 orders in a row served wrong. Then Mine was served wrong. The crew is all laughing and joking with each other which is fine but have a little seriousness with your job. Super high prices compared to other Mcdonalds.

I’m upset because I felt like my time was wasted. The staff here was incompetent on completing almost every item in my order. It was clear they didn’t take the time to make the order and I was left feeling upset and hungry because my order was not taken care.

I was super disappointed when we walked in and found that have have moved to kiosk ordering only and no cash for payment. We decided to take our business elsewhere. Please realize that some of us do not believe in a cashless society. I hope they can figure out a way to get back to normal order taking.

It's always the small details that are missing, fries are old/soft 99% of the time, sauces are not in the bag, and with the kiosks, it's even more important to be friendly when the guest is picking up their food since the interaction is so limited, but sadly this is lost as well. Great remodel, just not the attention to detail on the customer service.

I went in at around 3:20 AM and tried to order breakfast. They told me breakfast starts at 4:00, so I said “ok, I’ll wait here” 4:00 comes around and just as I’m about to order, the lady comes around the corner super rude and says “If you’re going to order, you need to order! You can’t just be hanging out!” Hanging out?!? I’ve been waiting for you guys to be ready for 40 minutes! If I can’t wait around for a bit, as a paying customer, why didn’t you tell me that 40 minutes ago? After that attitude, she lost my business. I just walked out.

Restaurant was closed for the day at noon but they didn’t turn off their mobile ordering and when I called they refused to process a refund and told me I would have to file a dispute with the bank. Poor handling by on shift management

I felt some type of way when the lady at the front kicks everyone out of the fastfood joint but allows one guest to stay in. You got cooks fighting in the back out of control next time don't take it out on me not my fault you guys are having problems I'm there to eat so keep it profession and have some manner ls and respect I should feel intimidated by 5 ft cashier some of you are just too gangster for a job.

Terrible experience with the online mobile app. To add: the app took our payment (while the restaurant was open) but apparently the posted hours didn't match what was accurate, so we arrived a few minutes too late. The app still charged us for our meal, and we never received food. Not a big deal, so we called support the next day and they refused to refund our order. They basically said "f you, its your problem" and told us that the STORE themselves would have to deny the pending charge. This did not happen, and we were forced to go through our bank to charge back $20. Billion dollar fast food industry wouldn't refund us $20. Edit: to add insult to injury, a subsequent delivery from here with multiple drinks and milkshakes was delivered without any straws!

Came in to redeem a deal, was told it wasn’t possible. Asked if I could redeem a different deal instead, and they said that I should come back the next day. So rude, the manager did not even look at me or apologize or try to work through the issue. The employee said it was “too busy” to help. If you expect them to honor mcd app deals as they claim to, you are mistaken. Extremely disappointed, only came in for some cheap fries and left empty handed.

I have visited this location a few different times since it is one of the one restaurant still open past 11pm. Each time I have had horrible costumer service and was treated more like a nusince than anything. Last night was the second time I’ve gone in with cash gotten to the kiosk Which told me debt cards only so I go to the register and wait. I sat there waiting for at least 8 to 9 min before finally a gentleman pops around a corner and yells at me to use the kiosk I try to tell him the kiosk said cards only but he didn’t believe me to I walked up to one and showed him the screen where it said no card at this time . He then turned and walked back into the back mean while people are ordering at the kiosk gettin they’re food and leaving while I’m still waiting to order. It was another 5ish min before he came back up front reluctantly and took my order. Another night they straight up told me no cash cards only. Like what happened to cash is king. I can only imagine what corporate would think if they saw employee turning away paying customer because they didn’t want to type orders into the registers. That’s they’re job but with co. i I was

Used a special in the app to get an extra medium fry for $1.00. At first they didn't give me the extra fries, then the manager (who was putting orders together) looked at my receipt and said oh small fry. No medium. Small,.. no medium.. if he could read the damn receipt I wouldn't have to argue with him.

Dirty building, loitering all around outside and inside, zero social skills from the staff. You think if they got a huge raise from the state, they’d at least appear as if they’re working. Instead, they were all joking and laughing in a group behind the counter. Fries were barely warm and over salted. Found a mystery bag of warm apple slices in my bag. Clear out the waste of space of this building, demolish it and put a park there. More wages for fast food workers = Less work output, higher prices, and more incompetence.

I don't know what they're doing wrong at this location, but their sweet tea tastes rotten and like dirt 90% of the time. I'm talking 50+ cups of nasty sweet tea over the last 6 months. Sure, maybe I should stop getting the sweet tea, but it's an issue no other McDonald's locations have. Please stop cleaning the sweet tea pitcher with the toilet sponge.

I came here to order food and they didn't serve me. They told me to order through the machine and I don't know how to use it. I left because they didn't want to serve me. The people don't seem very friendly, they look despotic and rude.

I went in to buy my usual coffee at McDonald's. Up until 1/20/23 McDonald's coffee was my favorite. I went in and ordered the same coffee I have ordered for at least the last 7 years. Large decaf with 8 creamers. The morning prior I noticed my coffee was cold so this am I checked it and sure enough it was cold and I mean cold not even warm. When I told the Hispanic lady that served it to me she snapped at me and told me "what do you expect when you put 8 creamers in it." At first I informed her that I have ordered the same coffee for many years and have never had this issue and walled away. At that point I had decided to let it be. However, when I took the lid off to stir it there were grounds off coffee all on the top floating and that's when I realized this was old coffee and I probably got the last serving. I went back put the cup on the counter and told her she could have her coffee back...did not even get a refund. Needless to say I will never go back to that place again.

We were waiting for our order for about ten minutes when a worker finally came up to us to ask us for our order number, then he informed us that someone must have already picked it up. We assumed that they were going to remake the order since it was stolen. However after waiting for an additional five minutes we asked them on the progress of the order and we were told that we would have to make the order again and pay for it again. I'm aware that it is a fast food joint but I would expect better costumer service than this. Very disappointed to see that they value whatever insignificant amount of money that it costs them in food over the value of their consumers .

This is one of the worst McDonalds restaurants I’ve ever been to because usually I get the big breakfast and in 2024 my order came out to 30.00 dollars but when I checked it was just the sausage and no pancakes when I went back they told me that there were different big breakfasts but in all other McDonalds I’ve been to they didn’t have this problem so because of this my total order came out to 40.00 dollars.Don’t go to this McDonald’s because it’s pretty likely you will get scammed out of your money.

They don't want to take orders. Only want you to use kiosk. Didn't give senior discount. Sausage wasn't cooked all the way. Hash brown was stuck to paper. Lost half of it. Used to be good.

One of the worst McDonald’s it’s sad because there are people at night who travel and you guys close your bathrooms down and the lobby down for only takeout from 10 PM to 5 AM yet you guys are open 24 hours. Also this impacts delivery drivers who sometimes have to use the bathroom and it’s really sad that they don’t have a cashier. You have to go up to the kiosk. Some people do not prefer to use the kiosk. They would rather interact with a human and they’re not friendly either please consider opening your bathroom to back up at don’t close them down Covid is over

Evidently I'm officially too old to be able to eat at McDonald's. I couldn't figure the app out, and there is absolutely ZERO customer service at this location. After waiting for help, I eventually was forced to give up and leave hungry. It's ok, I only weigh 100 pounds I can absolutely miss meals. Not! I won't be back to this location. There is no excuse to ignore customers who obviously are waiting at the counter and keep asking for help, increasing the volume in case they couldnt hear, nope, they just ignore people. I rate -10 on the customer service front. Unacceptable by corporate standards, even for McDonald's. Rated the food one star too since I never even got to order!

At the time I was the only person in the restaurant being it was 6:15am. Very displeased with the service and really needs To learn how to speak the people they are serving. Food is okay but the employees are far below the threshold of a food service employee. No one coming to McDonalds is expecting 5 star service but the employees here could not care less about anything. I stood at the front counter for 20 minutes watching my food get cold with staff coming in and out constantly, but ignoring me and not making eye contact (other than dirty looks). After doing essentially everything besides lighting a smoke signal, i finally got someone’s attention and he basically just threw the food over the counter to me as if it’s my job to walk in the back and get the food. Would love coming here if the employees and managers cared about their job.

I bought my girlfriend a Double Quarter pounder with cheese . The meat inside was real pink obviously undercooked( which I took pics). I had to leave it at my gf house and I told her to call the McDonald store since it was a waste of money bc she couldn't eat it. The employee started being rude telling her she was playing a joke when she told him to put my name down to pick up the food that she was trying to get free food.?! He hung up on her. One star is too much. I have never received a correct order from here and they are rude every single time. The black lady who works there is awesome and deserves a raise or even just some praise from her superiors but the rest are all disrespectful. Food is always sloppily put together and often cold. Today I received fries that were supposed to be large and I attached a picture of what I got..
