Casual and delicious spot with an eclectic mostly Italian menu. Personal highlights include their pizzas, pastrami sandwich, and pan fried chicken sandwich. The chips on the side are even better with a sprinkle of Parmesan from the table shakers. A lively place with super friendly staff and good prices, I wished they opened at 10:30 for years to fit my weird lunch schedule.

Great casual spot, Owner was very welcoming and even humble enough to bring the food out to me. Spicy Hawaiian pizza was great crust not to thick or thin Carbonara was not to greasy either house-made. I will be back with my family 👏🏾

Visiting town and figured I’ll try em out. To my surprise they are far better than I would expect next to a Taco Bell. Menu selection perfectly suited any of my Italian cuisine desires. Came back again a few days later to try something different and again I was pleasantly surprised. Tastes were spot on. No bland or weak tastes. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. I see more repeat visits while I’m in town.

This is one of the best Italian places in the county. I love everything about this cute place. The owner is amazing as well as the staff. Each time I come to SLO, whether it be with the kids or a friend, if I can make the time, I stop in to eat. Reasonable fair prices. So far there isn’t anything on the menu that isn’t great. I have tried pizza, pastas, and paninis-all fabulous! Fresh, flavorful, non-greasy. Great atmosphere, nice decor, clean, and organized.

Pizza Republic is a local gem. We are thankful that our neighbors recommended this awesome place. Turns out that "word of mouth" can make or break a company....and I can tell you that this place is worth a try. They will not disappoint you.

My family and I ordered a large sausage pepperoni, chicken parm, meatballs and salad. I have been looking for an authentic Italian and pizza spot for sometime now. My wife and I grew up back east so we both have been partial to east coast pizza. We heard about this place, heard big noise about this place so we decided to check out for ourselves. I will say this spot has tasty pizza, we tried the Sicilian style crust. It was Excellent! Not my favorite taste of the night however, I really enjoyed the chicken parm, the sauce is way good. We definitely will continue to hit this place any night we’re craving pizza or Italian cuisine. Thank you PR

Hot damm I love this place. Anytime I am expecting a super busy day, I look forward to calling in and order and not having to worry about any complaints from the kids about dinner. The pizza is amazing, the salads and dressings are fresh, We also love their cold sides and pasta dishes. If you do have kids the mac and cheese is so good and they sneak in super soft broccoli. The employees are helpful and always kind. I never hesitate to recommend this place to all of my friends. PS closed on Sundays!!

My family ordered a bunch of different individual meals, and I tried all of them. Lol Everything was amazing! The eggplant was my favorite. Everyone who worked there was friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be back when I’m in the area.

Will definitely be returning here and then more details will be forthcoming. A friend recommended this establishment, said he'd never been disappointed, and my first experience supported that claim fully. Edit: Been back several times, and still not disappointed. Will be a regular stop for me.

First time here, great experience! Got two slices, side of Mac and a fountain soda for under $23, awesome! Pizza was great, crust medium thick (0.5”), crisp on the bottom and soft inside. Toppings were fresh and really made ours stand out (fresh jalapeño, pepperoni, ham, onion and pineapple).

Great family owned restaurant that catered my daughters graduation party. Picked up rigatoni with meatballs and bucatini carbonara, fresh and hot. The homemade meatballs were out of this world and reminded me of my Italian grandmother’s meatballs! Great price for the amount you receive and fresh authentic Italian dishes!! Our new favorite restaurant!!

The salads are also quite good but make sure to tell them how much dressing you want on the salad because frequently they add much more than I normally like. The prices here are affordable although not cheap. Four dollars for a slice of pizza. They make deviled eggs which are also good, and they have a reasonable drink selection including beer.

$9 bucks for a moderate slice and a drink is just too much for me. I always try to tip too so at least $10! You can get an entire medium pizza for that much elsewhere…. Food quality at Republic does not justify the price difference either. Sorry.

The prices haven't gone up with the current crazy economy. The food is now "normal" price for very good food. I seem to remember the bread rolls coming with the pasta. They charge extra for them now.

The pizzas are very good, but the staff was borderline rude because when we paid for our to-go order, they literally said, "Thank you for the tip! Oh, you didn't leave one - thanks anyway!" I found that to be almost shockingly passive-aggressive. The next time we went in to pick up our to-go order, they again made a big deal about commenting on tipping. Why? We do not usually tip when simply picking up a to-go order. We do tip when ordering food in a sit-down restaurant, especially when they refresh our drinks, etc. Even though the food was good here, we won't be back.

Friendly and helpful service, but the food was just so-so. The best entree we had was the margherita pizza. The grilled cheese panini had too much cheese and the kids weren't fond of the pesto on it, although they did like the bread. Overall the best food offering are the salads, but they came with too much dressing.

Good pizza but a 16" for $30 is way too high. (June 2025) Spaghetti was horrible and the meatballs taste like it was made with fish (no fish was actually in it). The"pomodoro/marinara sauce was more like a sweet vodka sauce given how pink and creamy it was, and it took was way too sweet. Bread rolls were decent. Inside had tables but felt more like a to go business with all the take out orders. No waiters.

A $34 pizza straight into the garbage because the dough is raw. This is the second time in a row that’s happened to us at Pizza Republic. We’re done with this place!

it is wrong of this place to limit the quantity of the order through DoorDash, … then that means the DoorDash customer has to pay more in fees because of it and then the driver loses money for [$18] tips, because of it EDIT: they also like to leave the DoorDash orders out on the cold counters for the pizzas to get cold, instead of trying to keep them warm, until the driver gets there

Update. Ordered online over an hour before the time I asked to be ready. Waited over 25 minutes in the store past when my order should have been ready. Cashier said they were running 5 minutes late. I understand being busy and it’s a popular place. What is the point in being able to place an order ahead of time if you end up waiting??? Sucks because I really like this place so I don’t want to leave a conflicted review. But I missed an appointment so I guess I have too.
