Always a stop on drives to or through San Marcos. Never come to find it a mess; staff keeps the place clean. Food is pipping hot and tastes great. Chicken nuggets are gluten free so they are my wife’s favorite. Very down home atmosphere with a very friendly staff. Great place to have a good burger or chicken nuggets. Come one, come all.

The service was amazing very friendly! The food was very good loved the options and the sauces were so good. The restaurant was clean and the one table we needed to add was dirty but the staff cleaned it quickly for us. Really enjoyed this place. Would eat here often if we lived in the area. Left here with full tummies.

Really good. We were surprised at how well priced everything was. Burgers are good and filling. I also like the chicken nuggets. Be sure to get the fry sauce as the fry sauce is the best. Not a ton of inside seating and hot outside so be careful. Great place for kids.

So, I was staying in the Baymont hotel which is right next door to the Hat Creek Burger Co. I went a head an ordered on line and than just walked over to pick up my burger. The place is really geared for families which is why it is so popular. My burger wasn't ready when I got there so I had a shake while I waited..;) And family after family just kept coming in. So nice that there is a place like that in San Marcos. I almost forgot, when you order on line, you can pay on line as well and so all I had to do was pick up my food when it was ready. I don't know why, but I thought that was really cool.

It was hard to order the acoustics were so bad inside so we sat outside and music was so loud we left w headaches. Plus side all food was fresh and hot!

Disappointed. Came for dinner because it used to be amazing. Last two times, service has been so so. The burger was disappointing. It was super salty and burger bun was burned and hard. Not to mention the condiment and soda areas were filthy.

Our First time here, fast, friendly service. Food was ok, tried the loaded fries i think they over cooked them but seasoning was good burger was delicious, baked chicken sandwich dry.

The food is very average. The grilled chicken sandwich (pictured was dry and crushed out of the bag. The basic cheese burger was cold and dry as we. The highlight of the meal was the side salad. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and there was plenty of cheese. During our visit there were 3 things wrong or missing from the order requiring me to get up and ask for corrections. At least the sma play area kept the kids busy. This place is overpriced. You can get the same quality at McDonald's for much less.

Now I remember why I stopped going to this place. When did they drive-through and ordered a Little Hat meal with cheese. Fries came out hot, but somehow soggy and overseasoned to the point where I could only eat about three fries. The burger came plain, even though I did not ask for that. I ordered a Coke with Lite ice and got a Coke with about a fifth of the drink empty. I did not know Lite Ice meant they withheld soda.
