This place was splendid. Me and my wife, Payisleigh, celebrated our 10 year anniversary at this fine establishment and it was out of this world and romantic.

Great food. Only issue was that when we got the text to go in they told us we had to wait another 10mins. They said they would take off our names and put them back on (we believe it was due to a party of 17 ahead of us) our name wasnt put back on the list so we had to wait much longer and speak to someone else about it.

Food here is almost always really good. We eat here very often. Today was good as well, but this was one of those times when the nigiri was a bit old. You could see it was really dry and not fresh. But everything else was great as usual.

But when the chef is cooking for 8 people at a time in front of you, I’m sure it can get a little hard to time.

My wife and I have been going here for about a year and a half pretty regularly. Love the food. I've always loved the service. Tonight was my 51st birthday and had the worst server I've ever had. Unfortunately I don't know her name. We had a few dirty dishes and our next order ready to go as our server was clearing dishes from a table next to us. I was trying to save her a trip to get her attention to grab our dishes and order as well. Saving her a trip. She came back to our table and asked if I was having a bad day and that she didn't deserved being yelled at. I did no yelling. I was just trying to get her attention. I spoke with the manager and this employee. This employee said she isn't a servant and that I didn't understand her job. I explained to her that she is a "server" and that even though I'm 51 years old have held many server jobs in the restaurant industry. We cut our dinner short and left. I'm grateful for the manager who tried to compensate but we wanted nothing to do with this experience on my birthday. Gen Z entitled girl ruined my birthday that was going absolutely wonderful until she waited on us... Even the table she was clearing said there was absolutely nothing wrong with how I tried to get her attention.

Pretty good place to eat. just fyi Their sushi has a lot of rice that makes you full quick. The rice on our sushi time time was a little mushy which I am not a big fan of. We ended up ordering more appetizers after we had our sushi fix ☺️

We arrived for dinner and chose to be seated at the grill. I drink order was promptly taken and we ordered our meals. The staff was kind and attentive. Our chef was energetic and friendly. Our food was cooked in front of us with some fire theatrics. We notified them of a shrimp allergy and they were careful to cook it last so it did not mingle with the other foods. Once the meal was plated, it was on the saltier side. Condiments of yum yum sauce or ginger sauce were served generously. The serving size is large so look to take home plenty of food. We would return.

The portion got smaller it felt like. I normally always have take home but not this time.

This was my first time visiting. Overall food and atmosphere was good. Our server however the complete opposite. It was me and 2 others. We were celebrating a birthday. Got sat and told we had to wait to see if anyone else is going to show up. No big deal took our drink orders and got drinks out. We had a very kind and beautiful family join us. It was a wife husband and 3 boys. The parents and one of the boy were deaf. Little bit of a communication barrier but non the less it was a good time. Family gets sat and right away waitress is asking if they are ready to order dinner. Gave them no time to even look at the menu. She got drinks salad and soup out to everyone. Upon speaking to them we learned their son was also celebrating a birthday. Hibachi part of dinner went well cook was funny and did well. Then we got to asking for boxes. We had an appitzer with soup and salad so we didn’t ya e much of our dinner before asking for boxes. Well our waitress proceeded to ask the other family mid eating how many boxes they wanted. They clearly were not ready for boxes and did not even know how to respond to her. Told her they would take 2. She left and brought back boxes. Other family did not even use them due to the fact almost everyone ate their food. I could tell this family felt very rushed and I felt so bad. To top it all off she came out with the drum and made an announcement to the restaurant we were celebrating a birthday. Without hesitation I made sure she knew their was 2 birthdays at the table not just one. She then asked the other child his name, as she was singing happy birthday loud and clear to everyone she got the other boys name completely wrong while singing as if she was not paying attention. I honestly felt so bad for this kid. Not only did u rush his family out on his special night u proceeded to make it even less special not listening nor paying attention to what his name was. We felt so bad and gifted him some money for his birthday. All I want to say with this is whoever our server was which I honestly don’t even remember her name due to how shocking the night was and how everything played out, be kind be patient and find somewhere in yourself some shred of love for the job u have. Because this has got to be how you are every shift u work because of how natural it came to u.

I've been here a few times and really where this restaurant excels is in price for quantity. Most of the rolls on the ayce are indistinguishable from each other but there are some standouts. The Mexican and Rock n Roll rolls are my favorite. EXCELLENT miso soup. Good apps all around for sure. Just wish their rolls had a greater variety in flavor from one another. The service is solid. I’ve been coming to Kobe with my fiancé for a couple years now, we have always consistently said the service is never very good but the food is good so sometimes we weigh out the pros and cons. I will say though the times we have come in the last year the service is never good. We went today and I think this may be the last time we go unless some improvements are made. This visit I left extremely nauseous and feeling sick to start off. Today and in recent visits server we have is so inattentive, the hostesses always give an attitude and glares as soon as you enter, and the restaurant is genuinely dirty, the glass doors at the front are foggy from finger prints, there’s these glass blocks the walls that are covered in smudges and unknown crusty finger prints and stains, the booths are ripped a part, the tables we get sat at are always sticky. I think the thing that made me the most uncomfortable today and this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this here the busser was working so hard bussing all the tables and cleaning, he then went straight to folding napkins and prepping silverware, not one server helped in fact I counted5-6 at the bar and sitting on their phones or just not really paying attention while many tables were just left with drinks empty and tables full. This place needs a serious remodel and a clean up.

I would gladly drive an hour to the other location before I ever step foot in this place again. This wasn’t just bad — it was hands down the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Do yourself a favor and don’t eat here. The service was atrocious, and the attitude from the staff was flat-out embarrassing. Our waitress, Savannah, acted like serving us was a personal inconvenience — like she was genuinely upset that she actually had to do her job. Every request was met with eye rolls, attitude, or visible irritation. The sushi was 90% rice — practically no crab. When I asked for some crab on the side, she glanced at the plate and snapped, “There’s meat in there,” then had the audacity to charge me a dollar for it. The food took forever, and we were constantly missing items. When we asked about it, she acted annoyed, like we were the problem for expecting what we ordered. She never once checked on us. Every time we needed anything, we had to track her down ourselves or flag down another server. I had to ask for a refill after sitting there for 30 minutes. She slammed our menus on the table, slammed down anything else we asked for, and walked away mid-conversation. The only time she “checked” on us was when another waitress had to call her over. Meanwhile, she was parked at the host stand with four other girls, glued to her phone, laughing and chatting instead of doing her job. Completely unprofessional. Completely unacceptable. I will never be back.

Laine was our server and she was beyond slow. We are recurring customers and have never had to wait as long as we did. We waited at least 40 minutes for TWO rolls, and the order was only put in after asking for an update. The couple next to us literally got there like 10 minutes after we did and ordered about 6 rolls and still got their food 15 minutes before us. The food is good but not that good.

Disappointing visit, service was soooo slow, at least 30-40 minutes per order of sushi, come to find out the staff(the people preparing the rolls) were watching a soccer game on the tv. Upset to say the least.

Came in one day with my boyfriend. It was 30 minutes before closing. We were waiting to be seated for about 10 minutes. When someone finally came up to us they mentioned that they don’t sit anyone down 20 minutes before closing. Pretty sure they avoided us for 10 minutes just so they didn’t have to serve us. Judging by the reviews, I am glad we didn’t get the chance to eat here. Go across the street at Xian instead. Their food and service is way better.
