Based on a recommendation, I tried Valentino's last night for the 1st time and loved it. The pizza was just the way I like it. Thin, crispy crust just like a great NY style pizza. The bartender, Mikayla was super friendly and pleasant to chat with as well. They're definitely going to get my business from here on out. Well done!

First of all, I have to come on here and say my order was delivered to me incorrect and without hesitation they made it right so thank you for that. Secondly, the spicy mortadella sandwich needs to become the number one sandwich on your menu at all times and not just a special. Bar none of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten in my life Me and my buddies hangout next door at the cigar vault. They always recommend y’all.

Pizza from heaven! The ingredients are high quality, the crust is the perfect classic chewy and crispy medium style. I can't wait until the next visit to try something new! The pizzas get a little spendy if you like a lot of toppings, but it's well worth the price. Highly recommend this place to all pizza fans!

Classic pizza joint right in the heart of downtown. Each week, they have unique specials--slice of the week, wing of the week, sandwich of the week etc. A couple of my favorite slice specials were the Fish & Chips slice (yep..catfish & fries perfectly fried on top a bed of cheesy goodness) & the Crab Rangoon slice (a creamy base with wonton strips and a drizzle of sweet Thai chili sauce. The peach wings were good as well. This place is full of history!

This place is absolutely amazing!! We ordered fried pickles and jalapeños to start. Followed by a supreme pizza with no sausage. Let me tell you about this pizza 🍕! It was absolutely delicious in every sense of the word. The crust was thin and crispy. The sauce was delicious, and all the ingredients were fresh!. I haven't had a pizza this good in a long time. Shout out to the amazing staff and excellent service! I only had 2 slices left from the large pizza. we ate 3 adults and one child.

Came here to celebrate Mother's Day early and was surprised that it was Texas State Graduation Day. Our server was very nice and have us great service despite being swamped. Did was quick, hot and delicious. Garlic knots were perfect, classic fluffy and chewy. My wife had a sandwich and it was awesome she said. I shared a large pizza with the kids. It has great crust, cooked perfectly. Great crunch and chew. One of the best new York style pizza in the area.

Great pizza! Helpfully they'll split a pizza with different toppings on each half. They have bar and table seating in front as well as another big room in the back. They're located just a few steps away from San Marcos main square. There is free parking on nearby streets.

First time trying out this place and it's definitely a place I will come back. Our order was Fried Mushrooms, Fried Pickles, Buffalo Wings and a Supreme Pizza. All food was hot, juicy and full of flavor. The pizza taste homemade not factory made, the pickles were crunchy on the outside but juicy on the inside, the wings were big, juicy and the sauce was to the point and finally the mushrooms were crunchy and juicy. The service was great our server was courteous and the place is big enough with a good atmosphere.

We were in town to visit Texas State and found Valentino’s exploring downtown. Love their creative pizza of the week offerings! Service was great. They actually have CRAFT beer, not kraft. Honestly I thought the fried artichokes were way too salty, but the pizza was great. The crust was perfect! I highly recommend the Margherita pie.

Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Wings were delicious and lots, I mean LOTS, of drink options. Dining room is super clean and laid back. My server was so awesome. She was very friendly and made sure everything was perfect. She is awesome. Can't wait to go back.

As first timer to experience Valentino's pizza. Carlos, the bartender, (more like the hospitality chief) was knowledgeable over the menu and recommended the Fried Artichoke Hearts as well as his personal favorite pizza, the Chicken Bacon Ranch. I ordered the basic Pepperoni Slice for $5 with a $2 DosXX (special price on Mondays) because if you can make the basic traditional pizza you can venture out and make the exotic artistic pizzas. After finishing my slice, the crust was crunchy the amount was filling and I can confirm Valentino's is worth your hard working money. Great Job Team! I'll be back to try your other daily specials and pizza options!

We stopped by after my daughter’s high school graduation. I have known about this spot for years. The cheese sticks were some of the best I’ve had anywhere! The service was super friendly but not consistent. There was one server and there were lags between ordering. I wasn’t able to order a second drink. We will probably come back again!

Gotta hand it to the staff here - friendly, quick service and attentive. Appetizers fried mushrooms (smoked) & artichokes (a tad salty) crispy and evenly breaded. Smoked - fried garlic parmesan wings. Half margarita half ricotta small pie - good / minimal toppings on pie. Cold beer. Overall would return.

Our server was great and the atmosphere was welcoming. Growing up, I always ordered the cheese sticks (bread), so I was excited to get them again this visit. Unfortunately, they’re not the same anymore. I understand there are new owners, but the pizza and cheese sticks are nothing like they used to be. The cheese sticks were thin and greasy. I’d recommend bringing back the original recipe from the previous owners — I think business would really take off if you did.

I remembered loving this place when I was in college so I took my kids. Wait staff was aloof to slightly rude. Pizza was burnt. Vibes were weird so thank God we got the burnt pizzas to go. I've never seen my kids not finish a pizza. Two pizzas for 50 bucks they should be amazing. I'm giving two stars because maybe it's still amazing when you are in college and "belong"

We went in and needed low table with chairs, unfortunately none were available. We went to the back and had to sit outside. The server came out but it took SUCH a longtime to bring drinks and food… ALL of the food was cold! The appetizer was pathetic pickles and jalapeños, there 4 slices of pickles and a few jalapeños… and the pizza was so cold couldn’t eat it!

I have never experienced such horrible service here. I came in around 10PM & sat at the bar. I waited for 5 minutes & not one of the two bartenders came to me, I figured okay maybe they are busy. I am in the service industry so I know how it is. My friend couldn’t find the restaurant so I stepped outside & we then both sat at the bar once again. Nobody came up to us for 10 minutes. No menus, no “one second i’ll be right with you”, no type of acknowledgement whatsoever. One bartender was making drinks & the other bartender was eating pizza in the corner. She comes to the middle & I ask “hi can i please order?” She then proceeds to look at me, give me a fake smile, then walks off. She takes a couple minutes to come back to me & I order quickly. I ordered two shots, pizza, & a drink. No customer service was given, she seemed like she was annoyed I was there. I figured okay she was maybe having a bad day, again, I’m in the service industry so I get it. Pizza didn’t take that long. Shots took about 5 minutes. I’m eating, a couple next to me sits at the bar, she immediately greets them with a smile, gives them menus, & makes their drinks immediately. Now I’m like okay, now that’s disappointing. We were nothing but respectful , there was nothing we did that warranted that type of service. I then ask for my check, she takes her time once again, & no customer service, no smile anything. The other bartender never acknowledged us. Me & my friend are in our early 20’s, I understand sometimes our age group can be annoying or possibly don’t tip well, but the service was genuinely horrible & I believe it was because of our age, because when the older couple sat down the customer service was 10x better than with us. I usually tip at least 25% but yesterday I couldn’t bring myself to. I understand the service industry is hard, everyone has bad days, but at the end of the day it’s a job & you have to treat everyone that comes through that door with respect, no matter who they are.

Very dissatisfied with the service tonight. Door guy didn’t want to take my friends out of state IDS (drivers licenses* they’re from Michigan) and said it’s always been a policy. We’ve been here plenty of times and never had an issue. 🙄 We just wanted to spend our money here but I guess we won’t come back. If you’re going to have someone check ids at the door, have someone who will be able to properly check them (all of us are 24+) You missed out on 5 customers .
