Fantastic latte prepared and served up by the owner. Loved the laid back vibe of the place. Life slowed down when I went in. I was not rushed to order, the owner was not rushed in preparing my coffee, and I took time to indulge in every amazing sip amongst other laid back patrons. Also, great downtown location. I was visiting, but I wish I lived in San Mateo so I could frequent this place regularly. If you find yourself there don't miss it. If you are commuting through, jump off the train and walk over. Definitely worth it!

I'm in love with this place! It's a small cute coffee shop with lots of goodies, awesome cookies, delicious beef empenadas, and they also has a lavender syrup which I absolutely love. The guy who works here is so nice, we love coming here to work or just for relaxing time.

Walking around and exploring the downtown of San Mateo I found this small beautiful place - 3 Bees Coffee right on the corner of busy 3rd and B Street! Wow! Opposite on the street is a Peet’s coffee place and I thought how in world they are so close to each other coexist! I love to explore and I walk inside. And I tell you the vibe, the atmosphere, the calmness invite me in and I’m no longer worried about how this small coffee shop exists so close to a big known place! It’s my first time in 3Bees Coffee, and I’m so glad I found it! The place is small, but very inviting and people come here not only to relax, and work (like me :) ) with a cup of wonderful foamy cappuccino, but also to play games! I’ll take that as a good option - next time I’ll come with my friend and a game, but today I’m with my computer. The roads outside are wet and the heavy rain is promised to start again any minute, but you can definitely enjoy the inside with a wide smile on the foamy cappuccino, or breakfast items, and other small sweets, or you can choose GF treats or varieties of chocolates! The music is making everything even better - I was welcomed by guitar music by Ottmar Liebert & Luna Negra, and then it smoothly flowed into the music by a native of Colombia, Latin jazz guitarist Juan Carlos Quintero. It made my day! 💯👍 The owner of this place is very attentive guy with a big smile and he brings the real coffees in real ceramic cups to you - and that for me as a cherry on top! I’ll definitely will come here again and hope you will too!

Came for an iced mocha in the morning and enjoyed every sip of it. Staff was amicable and quick service. The al fresco (outdoor seating) is a great touch and adds to the vibe (B street recently closed for pedestrian mall activity). The ambiance is fantastic inside and out. Paid street parking nearby.

Great coffee shop, nice ambiance. Fantastic food to go or eat in. Plenty of space to bring a laptop and work for a couple hours or meet up with a friend. I highly recommend this place! Update: delicious drip coffee w steamed coconut milk, exactly how it love it. Thank you! And the breakfast burrito was heated on a panini press!

Such a cute local caffe! I’ve gone in and ordered DoorDash from them before and was never disappointed! I always look forwards to going in when I have time in the morning to chat over coffee with my girls, or to grab a cup on my way to work! Don’t go to Starbucks when this is just a couple streets away!!!

It’s a chill, no frills cafe with fair prices. Clean bathroom, good wifi, and the owner was very kind. I got lots of work done over the ~3 hours I was there. Ordered the chicken panini + ice chai with oat milk. Solid panini that was warm and crispy; the bread wasn’t overly buttery, and the pesto was great. Would go back and would recommend.

Ordered iced lavender lattes and they were perfectly balanced with coffee flavor, lavender, and the exact right amount of milk and ice! I also clumsily knocked over my drink immediately after receiving it and the woman running the shop was so kind about it and made me a new drink promptly and generously. Can’t wait to come back!!

Not minimalism necessarily but a certain focus. From the name I expected honey toast or honey cakes. Whats it supposed to be 3B: bueno, bonito y barato? Unsure.
