There are a lot of great fresh fruit options and caffeine free options The Lemon Aiyu jelly is like a very fragrant citrus lemonade with refreshing jello. Like it's zesty. I got it 70% sweet and it was good, but I want to try it 50% for a little more pucker Red bean mochi cake latte was kinda like a che, like a creamy pile of chewy and sweet bits you drink Almond Latte with grass jelly I liked hot on cold day Mango pomelo sago is so refreshing on a hot day and my favorite
I usually order my milk teas without any boba but forgot to ask for no boba this time. I had in mind what I wanted to order but when I was about to place my order at the register, a picture of a drink caught my eye. When asked what I wanted I just said, “I’ll have this” and pointed to the picture by the register and read out the drink’s name “Kyoto Uji matcha brown sugar pearl latte.” It didn’t register to me that my drink came with boba because I’m not used to calling them pearl. When I got my drink it was a nice surprise and I’m glad I didn’t ask for it without boba/pearl. The boba is so soft and chewy. It’s the best boba I’ve ever tasted.
I like the “ice fresh taro latte ”very much!fresh taro^u^ …My husband prefer the“orange green tea”!super fresh! He said those fresh apple pieces of the drink pretty good!share with my son!👍👍👍👍
Ordered two drinks ahead via their website. Super easy and convenient. The drinks were so good. Absolutely come back for another try!

Favorite boba spot!! My go to drink is the Grass Jelly Almond Latte with mochi cake. Yifang is the only boba place with this type of traditional drink and it’s awesome. Tried some of the other drinks like the Yifang Fruit Tea and that was good too, had a lot of fruit and quite refreshing. Would def recommend to anyone looking for traditional Taiwanese drinks/smoothies!
Wasn't sure what to order when I first arrived at the store. I asked the people working and they were super nice and friendly. They suggested the Yifang Fruit Tea. I loved it, very refreshing! It has been my go to drink ever since
Most authentic Taiwanese boba place in San Mateo My favorite item is the smashed lemon black tea. It’s very refreshing. I also like their taro milk and classic tea latte with boba. Their tea served with cheese form on top is not recommended. Don’t like their cheese form at all
Despite the dozens of boba options within the 3 block radius, I always come back to Yifang. Firstly, as someone who can't consume dairy, Yifang is one of the few places that offers soy milk as a milk alternative, which is not only the healthiest milk alternative but also best tasting in boba drinks. (Seems like soy milk has been phased out of so many shops due to fear mongering, which is sad). Yifang also has an amazing selection of authentic and high quality drink options. Their menu is the most transparent and most customizable for someone with dietary restrictions like me, while being very high quality.
Yi Fang is always a great place to get some tea drinks, especially their fruit teas and special teas. It's a chain from Taiwan and has many locations in the Bay Area. Some of my favorite drinks that I think they make well are the mango pomelo sago, taro latte, and taro green tea latte. Also can't go wrong with the classic milk teas.

I ordered a brown sugar matcha and brown sugar tea latte before I realized this shop is famous for fruit teas! The brown sugar drinks were delicious, they tasted freshly brewed instead of being made from powdered flavoring. Boba are medium sized which were a surprise but I enjoyed it since it's more unique. Next time I'm definitely trying the mango pomelo sago drink.
There are so many different boba shops in downtown San Mateo now, but Yifang is still one of my favorites! My go-to drinks are the mango pomelo sago and the ginger lemon tea (winter seasonal special). Recently, I also used their catering service for our wedding. There was a mistake on their end where they wrote down the wrong pickup time, so when we went there in the morning there was a lot of confusion around our order and we had to make a separate trip later. Thankfully everything worked out in the end and our guests really enjoyed the boba! Despite the mishap, I have a ton of respect for how their team handled the situation. Chris immediately sent me a thoughtful and sincere apology and offered an extremely generous refund. Mistakes inevitably happen, but it goes a long way when someone proactively acknowledges the impact and takes responsibility for what happened. I left the conversation with a positive impression that this is a business that has a lot of integrity and does right by their customers, and I will gladly keep supporting them!
With many boba places in San Mateo County, Yi Fang on S B Street is still my favorite. Firstly, the boba is not too big, has the right chewiness and isn't overly sweet. If you order any of their milk-based drinks, you'll find them to be quite creamy. My go-to drink is the Brown Sugar Pearl Coco Latte. It's decadent! And secondly, the place is managed well with an efficiently fast and friendly team. I came here on the Boba Day street event. They were busy but I placed my order and within a few minutes it was ready. I even received a free gift! The happy staffer behind the counter handed my drink, and said "On Boba Day, every order wins a gift!" So fun!
This is a small shop without seating, so it’s all take out. I ordered a couple of drinks, the Brown Sugar, and Cream Tea. The Brown Sugar was tasty, but the Cream Tea was a bit disappointing (tasted weird). The ordering process was easy, you can order on a touch screen there, or you can order through an app called Snackpass (1st time purchase gets a small discount for their 1st drink). I opted for the app since I saved a little on my first order.

A decent boba milk tea store. I think their bestsellers are their fruit tea series. My husband loves their Mango Pomelo Sago and would buy it once a week. I have my favorite boba store already, but their matcha latte and green milk tea was also good.

Really cute interior, but the boba was a bit of a let down. Pretty expensive (over $6) for that little drink, and it wasn't the yummiest either, kind of watery. It didn't take too long to make though, so that was nice! Also no interaction with the baristas or customer service.

Staff was great, service was fine but they don’t give receipts. I needed it but they can’t print it for you. Drink was great too. Five stars if i could get a receipt
Yifang generally has great drinks. However, this location has poorer quality control than other locations i’ve visited. Drinks can taste different each time you order even if you order the exact same thing.

Worst tea. completely watered down with no flavor. I ordered a green tea with passion fruit. Too much boba and it didn’t even taste that good. Save your money and visit some of the other amazing bubble tea places in San Mateo. Going back to my favorite: Tong Sui
I LOVE Yi Fang but my experience at this location was extremely disappointing. For context, I normally go to the one in Milpitas. I always order the Sugarcane Mountain Tea, with little or no ice. This is a more expensive drink ($8 before tip), but it’s usually worth it. Sometimes, when you order no ice at a boba place, they’ll water down the drink. I’ve never had this experience at a Yi Fang, but there’s a first time for everything! Both my drink and my dad’s (pearl milk tea with light ice) were absolutely watered down. Truly, there was no flavor. Super bummed. I understand wanting to save money by not adding more of the actual drink when there’s less ice, but the other locations of Yi Fang (Milpitas and LA) do not do this. The drinks we both got do not align with the quality standards that Yi Fang normally upholds. If you are in the area, craving tea, I would look elsewhere.

They have a new ordering system that won't let you order unless you give them your phone number. This is obviously unnecessary, and is only there so that the company can sell your personal information. Thus, they get one star from me.

It's way too sweet. I've tried it three times, and all three times were a disaster. I'm done ordering this.
