Happened upon this place and it was perfect! Amazing customer service, had a small town feel with Mexican and Hawaiian flare. I ordered a classic American breakfast of coffee, pancakes, eggs, and sausage and it did not disappoint. I loved the outdoor seating so I could dine with my dog. 10/10

Great food and selection. The menu has many Hawaiian and Mexican inspired dishes. Music was playing in the kitchen that made me of Hawaii. The whole place has a small town diner feel, including the unsightly wall of restaurant supplies messily stacked against a wall in the backroom. I got a cinnamon roll french toast which was like a smooshed cinnamon roll. the pancake has a nice crisp in the edge which tasted delicious with their salted butter. I wish I had some white toast to go with that yummy butter. Part of my mom’s pancakes were gummy though, she thinks they added cornstarch cause it does have similar texture to the store bought arepas. She ordered the Happy Diner special which consist of 2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 bacon or sausage. Sausage were slighty spicy and tasty even though I am used to smaller sausage links (these were similar to English bangers and smash sizes). I made the mistake of ordering a fried jalapeño for breakfast. I am definitely a wimp, I will leave that to the pros. The Tshirt owner across the street said Jack Black and the Red Chili peppers ate there recently. This cute little diner must have good food cause it isn’t some fancy hollywood diner. It is more like a place you see on Guy’s tv show “diner, drive-in and dives”. Pricing was very reasonable. Too bad I was full because they has so many things I wanted to try. Hopefully I can try them again on my way back to San Pedro. Sorry I didn’t get to take many pictures of the food. Everything looked so delicious that I started to eat before taking some.

The Happy Diner Restaurant crew had their food vqn and serving at the Legends Car Club Custom Car show held at Point Fermin historic park in San Pedro California and they had great food ! We had the Happy Diner burger plate,sausage hot dog plate and fresh chicken strips-super tasty,huge portions and very fair prices! The crew were friendly and made our lunch great! We had breakfast here and it was amazing! The staff was quit to anticipate our needs before we could ask. Food portions were huge and delicious. My son got a special hot chocolate at the recommendation of the staff and it was not what we were expecting but it was amazing!

First time trying biscuits in gravy and wow so delicious I threw in some bacon strips which made them extra delish, amazing waffles (fresh fruit), awesome service. Luckily one of the workers pointed us inside while my bf and I were in the rain in search of waffles so happy coincidence 😋

What an epic menu ranging from breakfast to burgers, Mexican to Italian, and everything in between - there was so many things to choose from that we got more than one thing to eat!😄 I was feeling some Huevos Rancheros and a Carne asada quesadilla with fajita veggies, which were outstanding! My friend ordered the Mexican omlet and carne asada tacos, which were promptly devoured. My wife was feeling a more traditional breakfast of french toast with scrambled eggs, which were cooked perfectly. The service was prompt and friendly, even with us sitting on the patio during a Sunday brunch hour, and our orders came out in a timely fashion. There's definitely many more things we wanted to try, and with that plenty of reasons to return 🔥

Nice little diner just down the street from our place. We chose to sit outside for our Sunday breakfast, but they had the indoor dining setup as well. The staff was inviting, attentive, and had our much-needed cups of coffee in our hands in a manner of minutes. My girlfriend ordered the Chilaquiles with green sauce, while I went with the Country Skillet. Neither of us were disappointed, nor had zero chance of finishing the generous portions. With a charming friendly staff, and tasty food, we’ll for sure be back.

A good place, staff was friendly, food was good. Surprised I was charged $2.95 to add 1 slice of cheese to my eggs. Surprised the toast is $3.25 but that was on the menu at least. Still a good decent meal for sure.

First time eating here in person and was better than I remembered it to go. I had the azteca omelette and it was delicious. Their coffee did not taste the greatest though. I had to add a little more flavored creamer than usual to drink it. Overall, it was a positive experience and I look forward to returning to try other things on their menu.

The food was okay. The eggs were probably the best. The hashbrowns were barely crispy on the outside and not done enough on the inside, for me at least. The bacon was okay, needed to be cooked a tad more. The toast and french toast were pretty good.

The food here is amazing. However, the customer service is horrible. Especially when you’re trying to call In to place your order the waiter always put you on hold for 10 minutes. Then when you try to call back, the Phone line is busy until the business closes
