Not your typical coffee/tea shop. Since I’ve discovered this place I’ve been going nearly every single day. I don’t even feel bad about eating out because everything is fresh. Such a refreshing experience to have healthy meals unlike any other restaurant here in town.
such a great experience here! love the music playing and atmosphere. girl was kind who took our orders this afternoon and teas were AMAZING! happy we found this spot
This place is great! In for a cruise and staying across the street. Walked over and ordered a delicious breakfast sandwich and a mocha latte. One of the best I've ever had!
So I sm not a big tea drinker but the specialty coffees and giant salads are Phenomenal here. I stepped out of my comfort zone and got a Rose latte. SO GOOD! Try this place you will not be disappointed. Lorenzo super friendly and professional service!!!
Loved this place. Inside was quiet. Nice part of town. An amazing tea's. I almost bought 2 for myself. Green tea + coconut + honey is AMAZING. Ham and cheese croissant passed the wife's test too. Edit: I did buy 2 teas for myself. 0 regrets.
My husband and I always get the breakfast egg sandwich and a coffee. If you like drink the mocha we recommend to ask for a little bit of chocolate cause they add to much and your drink will taste like hot/iced chocolate.
I am addicted to Hojas Masala Tea. I can't stop thinking about it! It's the perfect blend of warming spices and a touch of sweet coconut cream. It's so deliciously addictive! The prices are a bit high, but no regrets after having a cup. It's amazing!v The vibe is nice, but the place is really small/tight and it's not the best place for hanging around to work. It's small and it's a bit loud. There's always people there. It's a pretty popular spot.
Chef’s special bagel was the best I’ve ever had!!!! Everything else there has always been top 5⭐️ quality!!!!! Love this place, and if I am ever in the area again, I’m gonna hit them up!!!!
I’ve been coming here for year and I’m glad they’re still around. I always have the usual my jazzy Jasmine with my chefs bagel. Can never go wrong with this combo. I’ve recommended this place to all my co workers and people I know who love teas and have a sweet tooth. They also have pastries in which I’ve tried and my favorite is the carrot bar. My husband will eat 2 or 3 of them with his coconut infusion. I love this place and the atmosphere is amazing and also is the staff there. Great job hojas , you need to open more places special in the city if lawndale where I currently work 😉
Stumbled into this pleasant surprise and experience in the heart of "Little Italy" San Pedro. Everyone should drop in for the best made fresh sandwiches in the area. The Turkey Verde and Roast Beef Sandwiches were perfect in every way. New York Cheesecake was yummy and there are many other selections that I'm sure will please.
Lovely little place. The Orangebois was really good, and the pistachio chocolate cake was also really good. Parking might be hard, I'm not familiar with the area. But we got a free street parking right across the cafe, so it was really easy for us. I highly recommend this place when you're in the area.
Hojas San Pedro is effortlessly trendy, blending a stylish, contemporary atmosphere with a menu that feels thoughtful and well edited. It’s the kind of place that draws you in visually, then quietly wins you over with substance. The avocado toast is outstanding—so well executed that it genuinely caught me off guard. Perfectly ripe avocado, impeccably seasoned, and layered over toast with just the right crunch, it’s simple in concept but deeply satisfying in practice. I was so surprised by how good it was that I ended up finishing the entire plate—something I almost never do, as I typically stop at half. The tea selection is equally impressive, offering a carefully curated range that feels intentional rather than an afterthought, and adds an unexpected layer of refinement to the meal. Attentive, polished service ties everything together, making the experience feel relaxed yet elevated. Hojas San Pedro is modern, confident, and memorable—a place that delivers more than you expect, and one that lingers in your mind long after the last bite.
Loved the atmosphere of worship music being played and the Christ representation on the latte cups. Chai Tea latte was so good!
Loved the availability of lettuce for the egg wrap! I added avocado and chose pesto. It was s delicious!
Great spot for a cup of coffee or tea and a light breakfast.
Absolutely delicious drinks! Very good customer service! Love this place.
Honestly one of the best teas I've ever had. Quiet Primrose.
Wonderful tea/coffee place across from the Crown Plaza…..perfect steel cut oats and mocha latte!! Husband had the ham and cheese croissant and drip coffee…..spent $21! Excellent quality food and awesome vibe and sweet staff! Will definitely come here again.
Love Hojas in San Pedro. Have to get my Iced Coconut Coffee. The staff is always so sweet and attentive. The atmosphere is great for little meetings of people. It always has Christian music playing which is great. Love to support local business and they have three locations San Pedro, Wilmington, and Long Beach.
Honestly had an amazing experience here, highly recommended. Had a great sandwich and drink here, not just good, great. It tasted like someone cared about making it good. Rare quality to find.
I looovveeee Hojas!! Best breakfast sandwich. No fuss, fresh ingredients. Highly suggest the Energize Me tea for a great pick me up without the jitters.
Hojas is a fantastic Tea House. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They serve some very unique herbal and yummy teas and coffee.

Pleasant atmosphere. Wide variety of special teas. Try the house chai latte (hot). Many desserts and pastries. Garlic stinky bagel. Unique twist on avacado toast

A cute little tea shop a walk away from the international cruise port! Not 5 stars only because the wifi wasn’t working and unfortunately I needed to get some work done but was unable to because of this! Otherwise the food was delicious (I had the tomato and spinach bagel) and the iced mocha was super refreshing!
A Coffee and Tea shop I visit from time to time. Most of the stuff I've gotten is good but where this place lacks is the service. Sometimes they're super nice, they've bordered on rude once or twice but usually they're indifferent. I don't expect anyone to roll out the red carpet for me, but I also don't want to feel unwelcomed either. The only thing I can think of foodwise that was downright awful was the steel cut oats but that might be on me as maybe I don't like any steel cut oats. Their Cafe con Leche (Tres Leches Latte) is one of my go-to's and their breakfast sandwiches never disappoint.
This tea spot is very popular with tourists staying at the hotel across the street. It has a wide variety of tea options, some coffee and some food options. For vegan items, they have a cookie, an avocado toast and salad. Most food items you would have to customize to make vegan. They have plenty of seating inside and out.

I liked the service however, the place needs a little love. Lots of the flowers they used as decoration are dying. The bathroom was alright.
They're alright. I had the chai once and it tasted like they forgot to add the chai. Like I was just drinking plain milk. Breakfast sandwiches are okay, nothing to write home about though. Same with the coffee, pretty standard stuff.
I’ve visited this tea house twice, and honestly, their drinks are average—neither great nor terrible, just very simple and not to my taste. The ham and cheese croissant is decent, probably the best thing I tried here. However, their pastries and desserts were disappointing. I tried their lemon pastries twice, and both times they were hard, with a texture that made it feel like they’d been sitting out for days. Overall, not a place I’d recommend, but the ham and cheese croissant earned them three stars.
First: It was ok 🤷♂️ Place was a little dirty. Free water cups were stained with unknown substances. Free water tasted like wilted greens, definitely not clean. I'm definitely getting the runs. Second: Mandala drink was great! Really tasty and robust and not overly sweet. It's a 5star. Breakfast sandwich was good as well. Chipotle sauce- excellent! I give it a 4star . Not very busy and staff was friendly. I'd say go 👍

Not giving them 1 star because there drinks are good but there pastries and dessert are horrible. I’ve gotten and pastry before that had mold, then today had a croissant and it is so stale like a burnt peice of bread, not fluffy or soft at all. I’m honestly really shocked that workers feel comfortable giving paying customers this kind of food it’s pretty ridiculous, and a waste of money.
Very disappointing experience. We are on a Gluten free Vegan diet. We asked if any item suits our diet, the answer was negative. We were told they can remove the cheese and wrap to accommodate our needs. The cashier offered us to add avocado instead. We agreed. Cashier never explained it will cost us $3 extra. We requested for a cup of cappuccino, we heard they steaming machine does not work and only Nescafe is available. We requested for Macha tea with coconut milk , they said no coconut milk is available. They offered soy, almond or oat milk. again never explained these will have extra cost. Eventually we spent $18.5 for a sandwich and a cup of tea that even was not what we wanted. I came back to ask few drops of honey to the tea, they said it will be 85 cents. Really??? after spending $18.5, you want your customer to go back to the line and pay more. I was very disappointed with this place. Very pricey with low customer service.
Wasn’t too happy about my first visit but decided to give it another go. Unfortunately I got disappointed. Ordered a hot matcha and it didn’t look nor taste like what you get elsewhere. The vegan chocolate chip cookie was super sugary and a little stale. Paid 15$ in total, definitely won’t return. On a positive note: they have a good selection and variety of products, bagels, sandwiches, pastries, coffees and teas that you wouldn’t find elsewhere. Vegan options available, plant milk for coffees (I had almond milk)
Bought a 24 ounce, but I wonder why it wasn’t filled up all the way.

I ordered a small 12 oz latte but was charged for a 16 oz. I let it go with a smile, unfortunately, I didn’t receive one in return from the staff at any point. What concerned me more was how the coffee was prepared. I know a bit about coffee and had the chance to observe the process. They use a decent espresso machine- a Casadio Undici (compact version). It’s not top-tier, but more than capable of producing a good espresso if used properly. However, the way it was handled was disappointing. The portafilters were left sitting in the group heads after the previous extraction (for who knows how long). Only after I placed my order did the barista remove them, knock out the old puck, and immediately dose fresh coffee without cleaning or flushing either the group head or the portafilter(!). Old coffee residue remained inside. The extraction itself ran too long. Milk frothing was also far from professional. Too bubbly. The preparation went against fundamental espresso/Latte-making principles. I don’t need to describe the result - after one sip, the coffee went straight into the trash. It’s a shame that a place promoting itself around coffee and tea shows such disregard for basic preparation standards. It may not bother everyone, but if you appreciate well-made coffee, I would not recommend this place.
Yesterday I bought their last yogurt and took it back to my hotel. When I got there I realized the fruit has fermented and even the yogurt had gone bad. Today I took it back with receipt and asked if I could get something else instead (I would have paid the difference). The woman told me there was no manager on-site and there was nothing she could do! We’re talking $4 here!!!!!
Ordered a matcha latte with oat milk and cafe latte with vanilla. Matcha tasted like straight water, coffee tasted like chocolate milk. We went to politely ask it we can get a different drink or something and the lady told us “ well theres nothing wrong with our drink so we cant change only add to it.” Bad drinks and bad customer service.
The breakfast sandwich was loaded with mayonnaise. Not just a little, A LOT. The latte, ordered as "non-fat" was substituted with soy ... and an extra charge, of course. After drinking some, the wife asked "Does the milk taste off?" Checked the receipt, ... soy. Ugh. Brought it back ... "We don't carry non-fat milk". Begrudgingly offered to remake it. Avoid this place!
I ordered a plain iced matcha with almond milk and at first they gave me the wrong order, as mocha frapp, then they gave me attitude and gave me this drink that looks and tastes like plain water he didn’t even let me keep my mocha frappe, the customer service is so bad wouldn’t recommend 0/10

I've experienced the worse customer service and this is not the first time. I use to come to this location daily and due to the bad service ive stop coming, but decided to give them a try again. One of the girls at the counter giving out the on-line orders, handed me my drink with sauce all over the cup and failed to apologize, so I reached over to grab a clean cup and the girl with a bad attitude says in RUDE tone..NEXT TIME DON'T GO OVER THE COUNTER... I apologize for grabbing a clean cup andI told her that next time she should not be handing out a drink like that. Once again no apology from her. We spoke to the store Manager Vero and she was very apologetic but we will never come here again. I recommend Colossus, or Sirens where they have the most friendly staff and their drinks will not disappoint.
I was gifted a 200.00 gift card to Hojas and have used it when in the area over the years and as recently as 2 weeks ago. Today the cashier, Veronica refused to honor it and stated that they no longer use that type of card. As I had recently used it and another cashier was able to see the amount on it, I asked to speak to a manager. Veronica rudely advised me that she was the manager and that i needed to pay for my order and that she wasn’t going g to answer any questions. It’s unfortunate that that’s the best employee they could find to be the manager . She was not the least bit friendly, apologetic or professional. It’s employees like her that turn customers away.
