Had the Chicago dog. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. Good selection of beer and friendly courteous staff, made for a great atmosphere.
Came in 10 mins before closing and the guy was super friendly, loaded my dog up and sent me happily on my way. Great service, delicious food, and I'll be back soon to sample the beer menu
Food was bomb and special. My first time in the area and enjoyed this spot, would recommend the stooped fries. Cool vibes as well. Bartender/server is funny and cool. 👍💯
Are you looking for a fun place to go that has a simple yet awesome menu? If so, this is the place you have been looking for! Great beer selection, the Stoopid fries are amazing and the dogs are great, too. Not only is the food yummy, the folks running the place are helpful and fun. Check them out. You will not be disappointed!
I've been a few times now and DareDevil Dogs has been great every time! The food is great, love the stoopid fries!! The beer selection is awesome and is always rotating a lot of local beers. The staff makes the place great too, very welcoming and friendly. I'll be going back for sure!!
This place has amazing beers; always changing it up and the choices are delicious! I am vegan and they Should have a vegan option but oh wells! The people are friendly and awesome to talk to! Also, I love crispy fries and they make them very crispy and I love that ! I’d recommend this spot ! :)
Daredevil Dogs popped up in my Google Chrome browser. I visited during their soft opening. Restaurant is still in the process of getting ready for the grand opening. The atmosphere and staff were warm and welcoming. Staff mentioned they were awaiting delivery of their new barstools and furnishings. The Red Sox and Yankees were playing on the large panel TVs. There was a nice menu of beers on tap. I ordered a chili & cheese beef hot dog with onions on a bakery style roll. The chili was very tasty with the right amount of spice - not too spicy. The beef hot dog was great too! The chili & cheese dog is huge and a meal by itself - easily a meal for two light eaters. I also ordered fries, which were salty, hot and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside - also very tasty. I can see this restaurant becoming a local favorite for those who like a good hot dog, good beer and a place to relax and take in a ball game. Will visit again.
The service was top tier. The staff was VERY knowledgeable. They answered questions I hadn’t even thought of yet. The have fun regulars that made us want to stay longer. We will definitely come back. The menu is limited but the food was worth returning for.
If you like ordinary hot dogs, Casper’s will be your go-to place. Daredevil Dogs is unlike any hot dog joint I’ve been to. It’s crazy. It’s wild. They make hot dogs that are out of this world giving you messy fingers with all the right ingredients. I’m not a HUGE hotdog fan, but this place had me eating my entire dog, plus polishing off my mom’s last half of hers that she couldn’t eat. And don’t get me wrong. The portions are big enough to fill the average eater but I enjoyed it enough to keep eating more. Hats off to the chef and the man in the front who looked like he was the owner. Very personable and was able to take my jokes with ease and throw them back at me. I loved the atmosphere and the nice selection of beers as well. I highly recommend trying this place out if you want to try something new and memorable. Also, we paid around $25 for the 2 grilled cheese dogs and shared some chili cheese fries. Not a bad deal at all if you ask me.
Stopped here since I had a job in San Ramon and had a great time. Chili cheese dog was great and the fries were nice and crispy. The guy who took my order was friendly and was fun to listen to when he talked with what seemed like regular customers. It’s good to see a place with regulars/dedicated customers. If I’m in the area again I’ll stop by but since Davis is quite far hopefully I have more jobs nearby to stop by. Otherwise I’m coming by anyway!
This is my favorite and only place to eat hot dogs. The Chicago is always made to perfection, and the chile dog is to die for. We drive in from San Jose twice a month to get our fix
I came in today hungry for a quick hot dog. I looked at the menu, and ordered an amazing sausage and chili sandwich. I also ordered a incredible local beer on draft at the bar and got a can of another beer to go. Wonderful atmosphere and top notch service. I will be back to order my next hot dog here. Looking forward to my next visit.
We love coming here with the kids! Fun atmosphere thanks to the employees who are always so kind to all of us. I appreciate all the screens being that the place isn’t huge so that different sports can be on at the same time. Food is great. Beer is good but Lady Marmalade is all mine!
Absolutely love this place - have been a few times now and the service, food, and beer is absolutely top notch. Yesterday I had an amazing Kolsch along with their Jalapeno Dog - both were very tasty. The crispy fries are always perfection. This is the friendly neighborhood bar we all need. The only thing that would make this better would be outdoor seating (not their fault there is none).
Great food great service delicious pretzel bites my friend and I visited this place on our way to gamestop
I had the chili dog. It was great! I look forward to trying the New York dog next time. It's a small space, but it is well lit, and they come around to the table to grab your order and check up on you.
Really no place like it. Fantastic dogs and burgers and pub grub, but elevated with some really innovative sauces - wife proclaimed the honey mustard 'the best I've had, anywhere.' The kitchen sink burger is an experience; you can't eat two in a row but you'll come back the next day for one. Great beer selection. Whoever is behind the bar, you'll feel at home or at your favorite uncle's man cave. It's the restaurant I'd create if I had a fraction of the talent as these owners have.
Our server was especially nice to my talkative grandfather, a rare kindness these days. The atmosphere was a bit spartan but I imagine it's different in the evening. The food was good. Giant portions. I tried the lumpia fried pickles and I liked the idea but I think it was the cheese inside that didn't work for me personally. Otherwise everything was fresh, clean, friendly and if I'm ever stuck in san Ramon again I'd go back (:
I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I was off one Tuesday and decided to order a couple dogs & fries as a take away order for my wife and I. We both got the Chicago dogs with grilled onions and split the fries. While I waited for the food I had a beer. The ambiance of the place was like a little hometown sports bars. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They had different games on and a good music selection. I waited about 10 minutes for the food. When I got home and tired the food I was pleasantly surprised! We both loved the dogs and the FRIES! The fries were crispy and well seasoned. The dogs had everything you could want and more on a dog. We loved the spin on the Chicago-style dog. We will definitely be back! We can't wait to try the other menu items. Great local spot for a quick bite or to hang and watch the game.
I've only had takeout, but it's always been good. Enough options for the whole family to find something they like. I always get the Chicago Dog and usually save half for later. Very big portions! DO NOT SKIP DESSERT. I order it knowing i will have it for breakfast and a snack the next day. The apple bread pudding is one of the best things I have ever tasted in my life, and that's not hyperbole. The sweet and salty flavors come together with soft and crunchy textures and become something so delicious. I'd eat it every day!
Update 4/22/24. They added a Meatball Monday and are now open 7 days a week. Meatballs are excellent! New fun spot in San Ramon near Crown Canyon theatre. They do a great twist on hot dogs plus the traditional Chicago and New York style ones. Had the smash burger (sausage patty) on first visit. Awesome flavor but get extra napkins! Next visit we tried their take on sloppy Joe’s called the Texas Joe. Delicious but forget eating it like a sandwich as the chili and the buns need a knife and fork. One of the pleasant surprises of the place is a real grasp of beer options. They are on UnTapped and rotate taps regularly. Knowledgeable staff helps too. Finally, the service is excellent as well. They explain the options in detail, know their beer offerings and are friendly and conversational. Great addition to the neighborhood!
Was craving a chili cheese dog, and found this place on Google. Chili dog was one of the best I've ever had, and beer cheese fries I'm still thinking about, they were so delicious. Great attentive service too
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!! The BEST Hot Dogs I have ever ate. I drive an hour just to get a hot dog from here! The menu is simple and the few items I have tried have all been SUPER YUMMY! And not only is food AMAZING! The manager is such a cool guy, he makes going to this place such a fun and enjoyable experience. He is funny and very knowledgeable of the food being served. If you are looking for the best tasting hot dogs in the Bay, look no further! 😀🔥🌭
Very good food, equally good service. The sausages were plump and juicy. I had the sausage (polish) smash burger, it was very tasty. I might get the Chicago Dog my husband had next time coz it tasted real good too! Crispy fries were truly crispy and stayed crispy! Yum Clean bathroom, no changing table.
We had lunch at Dare Devil Dogs this afternoon and dare I say the dogs were delicious! We had the Chicago style, the New York style, and the Special of the week. The hot dogs were very filling. I couldn’t finish mine but that might be because we shared an order of Stoopid fries and they were Stoopid good. Craft beers and football games on four big screens added to the ambiance. And Rob was welcoming and very humorous. If you’re in the mood for some good dogs and beer, pop in to Dare Devil Dogs.
Stopped in to watch some football and grab a bite n' a beer. The food and beer selection were excellent. They had several hazy IPA options available, which is always a plus in my book. Both the staff and regulars were all fairly knowledgeable regarding football if you're into that. The pictured dish was a Texas Joe. Highly recommend.
I’ve been craving an artisanal hot dog and was Super excited to see this place opened up! I have the New York dog and it was delicious! Super fresh and high-quality. I also had the bacon cheese fries which was wild! Staff was super cool and friendly.
Looking for filling food, good beer, and no foo foo rabbit feed, this is a solid choice. Hot dogs are charred, and the Fries aren't limp. We tried the Chicago Dog... Which was not traditional, but was fantastic. The SloppyJoe thang was ridiculously good, and the Stoopid Fries were stoopid good. The Beer selection is on point, full of local beer on tap and by the can. Try it out, you won't be disappointed.... Unless you want a salad... Vegans probably would not approve.
Best chilli cheese dog I've ever eaten. Owner was super friendly and easy to talk to. I can tell he's very proud of the menu. The place was nothing fancy, but a friendly atmosphere. Looked like some wear and tear but nothing bad. Would go again if I go back to town. Ask the owner about his love for artichokes and the artichoke dipping sauce.
This place hands down has some off the best food in town. This is a must try spot! I was about to hurt myself with 2 chili cheese dogs when a staff member behind the bar said " our dogs are pretty big. Try 1 and if you are still hungry go for the dessert ". The dog was amazing the best in the area I would say 10 out of 10. The dessert 6 out of 10. I believe it was a bread pudding. Needless to say I'm I'm town for a while I plan on stopping by multiple time before my flight ✈️ back home!!
Located across the street from the San Ramon Macdonalds, excellent sports bar and restaurant! The owner is a former Vallejo firefighter! In fact they were recognized by the East Bay Times with four awards: 2023 Best American Food, 2023 Best Hamburgers, 2023 Best Pub, and 2023 Best Sport Bar! For the Hot dogs, the Chicago and New York hotdogs are presented with their own, unique flavors. Fresh Portuguese buns, homemade mustard. For their chili and hamburgers, they use sausage meat instead of hamburger meat, which provides added spice and flavor!
Honestly one of the best hot dogs I had in a while.
Small, cute owner operated spot for beer & bites. Most menu items are hot dogs with some different sides available. Husband & I both ordered the all beef Jalapeño Dog. Shared a side of Fries. It was served in a toasty bun. The dog itself is good. Thick with a nice beef taste. Topped with tomatoes, cheese, pickled Jalapeños, & a house aioli sauce. They have a nice draft beer selection & the prices here are reasonable. Several flat screen TVs to watch the games on. A nice friendly lunch spot to grab a quick bite & a beer if so inclined.
Worth the trip from Napa! Stopped in after my nephew's baseball game and tried everything. Amazing selection of beers on tap. Great food (had the special hot dog for Cinco de Mayo) including 2 amazing desserts--photos of the Forbidden Fruit (apple pie chimichangas) and bread pudding...with bacon! Rob behind the bar was absolutely top notch in his service and personality. Chris in the kitchen got everything out quickly in spite of a packed house. Highly recommend and will 100% return!
10/10. The food is amazing. The beer is always flowing. Come here for great service, delicious eats, tasty beer, and sports on TV. Please stop reading my review and visit Rob and crew.
Went for lunch while at work but can't wait to go back on my day off.... cool people grubbin hot dogs and a beer selection I'm anxious to sample and also looking forward to trying the "smash burger" might have to improvise and try to make one myself
I was there for lunch and got myself a smash sausage burger and a pretty strong beer. Good burger which I chased down my stomach with that floral beer. Satisfying!

Good beer options and great food. Chicago dog bun was too thick, should be poppy seed bun anyway, weird mustard on it too, rest of the toppings were right though.. Polish smash burger was fire.
Great Smash Burger, Outstanding Fries & Craft Beer Selection – A Must-Try Spot I had a great experience at Daredevil Dogs, trying their smash burger and fries. The smash burger was pretty good, but the fries were excellent—crispy, flavorful, and well-seasoned. One thing that stood out was their craft beer selection. While I didn’t have any this time, I spoke with the bartender, who mentioned that they rotate their taps frequently and bring in a variety of high-quality craft beers. It’s definitely a reason for me to come back and explore what they have to offer. My friend ordered a hot dog and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. However, it was more on the elaborate and fancy side, so if you’re looking for just a simple, classic hot dog, this might not be the spot for you. But if you want something unique and delicious, it’s definitely worth trying. Overall, Daredevil Dogs offers great food at reasonable prices with a solid selection of craft beers. Whether you’re in the mood for a burger, a gourmet hot dog, or a great beer, it’s a spot worth visiting. I’ll definitely be back to check out their rotating beer lineup!
Stopped in for a quick dinner while driving home to the Napa Valley. What a find! Attentive and personable servers, lively atmosphere. It was a Thursday night and the place was packed! The food was fabulous, creative, full of flavor, and well executed. The owner stopped by for a chat too. Great experience all around. Wish we had this place back home!
I loved this place so much. Hidden gem. We stopped in for a break and it was such a an enjoyable experience. The young men at the counter were friendly and the food was good. I'd definitely return.

Food was alright, not bad by any means just nothing extraordinarily tasty. Reason I'm giving 4 and not 3 stars is because it does seem like a pretty chill spot to watch some sports and hang out if you enjoy those sort of things. Overall not a bad experience. Bartender was friendly and helpful as well.
Excellent hot dogs, not too salty yet still very tasty. The sausage burger was very good and the French fries were fresh, crspy and large portions. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Plenty of parking. I would definitely go back.
Super friendly mom and pop shop. It's kind of half bar half hot dog place but people are definitely socializing there. For modern eat-out experience is very reasonable price with most hot dogs selling in the 9 to $14 press range. I guess it really boils down to if you want to eat a deluxe hot dog or not. My only complaint was they don't have free or tap water available. You have to buy a bottle of water or some other drink or don't have anything to drink.

Dropped by for a to-go bite on my way home from work. I ordered the Chicago dog with all the fixings and a side of corn dog bites. Totaled to about $20 and was not worth it at all. The dog was average at best (not worth more than $6 imo). It was dry and I wasn't a fan of the bun as it had a tough exterior. Ate about half and moved on to the corn dog bites which made me feel kind of sick. Nothing special about those either. They were just deep fried corn dog bites with very little flavor other than grease. The mustard dip didn't help. Money not well spent. I might have felt differently if I was two beers in or if it was cheaper, but I definitely wouldn't come back here sober.
Came in for lunch today, the place was a ghost town. I ordered a Chicago dog and a glass of ice water. Turns out, they only offer drinks you have to pay for. So I got it to go, however, opened my hotdog wrapper about 2 minutes after I left and the bun was soggy. WAY too much relish, and the hot dog was barely cooked. Definitely not worth $11 or my time.
