Unbelievable service is the first thing that comes to mind. Jenny F. was our waitress and she was an absolute doll. We went to Delarosa for a quick bite to eat for my wife's birthday and the food could not have been any better. My wife had a delicious salad, my daughter had the chicken panini, and my son and I split a flippin awesome pepperoni pizza and cesaer salad. We closed the lunch with delicious cappuccinos, ice cream and some specialty donuts. The entire experience is the perfect recipe to get customers to come back. Highly recommend delarosa in San Ramon.
Delarosa is an excellent t place to dine, relax, and enjoy their excellent food. The beet salad with steak was fabulous! Our waitress, Meredith was exceptional and pleasant. We will definitely be coming back!
I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant, thanks to our amazing server. From the moment we were seated, they were welcoming and incredibly attentive without ever being overbearing. The manager Jae helped us and had great knowledge of the menu, offered helpful recommendations, and made sure everything came out just right. What really stood out was their genuine hospitality Jae made us feel like valued guests, not just customers. Even during a busy time, they handled everything with professionalism and a great attitude. It's rare to come across service that leaves such a lasting impression, but Jenny and Jae were truly elevated our whole dining experience. If you're dining here, I hope you're lucky enough to be in their section!
This was my first time here, Siew was my server today, she was amazing! She had amazing hospitality, amazing recommendations, and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back to visit Siew!
Our server Saul was Incredible! The food was Amazing! Love the atmosphere. Food was delivered fast! 5 stars all around 💕
Here’s a shorter version: Great Experience at Delarosa Italian Restaurant Stop by this place for a quick meal and was very impressed with the food and service. The mixed baby green salad with bacon, pears, and tomatoes was fresh and flavorful. The Cioppino soup, loaded with shrimp, mussels, clams, and calamari, was a standout—light and refreshing with perfectly cooked seafood.
Very nice food, pizza is amazing, defiantly come here at least once a month. Service is also amazing! I recommend the calamari and pizza. Don’t slack on the desserts!
Went for lunch on a Sunday. Tables outside are great for people watching and just hanging. Had the Burrata Bruschetta and the Artichoke Dip. The dip was good but not like a typical artichoke dip. Came with pasta chips...never had and were interesting. Burrata was almost like a desert (with the honey). Was very good. Grilled Chicken Panini was tasty but a little dry. ended up asking for their hot oil (calabrian chili oil) and that filled the gap. Wife loved the Veggie Panini.
Great lunch experience! Sue was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. And everything came out so fast! Will definitely come back.
Karen is amazing. I was here last week with a client and had an incredible experience. She recognized me when I returned, and you cannot train that. She shiws genuine care, warm and welcoming. More than the five stars. Thank you Karen.
Last night Delarosa was very busy, yet we were greeted with a warm smile at the door. Our server was prompt, knowledgeable about the menu, and consistently attentive. Even though she was handling several tables, she remained calm, polite, and professional throughout our visit. Her food and wine suggestions were outstanding, and both the margarita pizza with burrata and the spaghetti were delicious. This was my third visit, and every time I’ve come here I’ve enjoyed the same positive energy. It’s not just the good food and drinks that make Delarosa special, but the positive attitude and hospitality of the staff that make the place feel truly welcoming.
What a great place to enjoy a lovely meal. There’s a variety of seating options, both inside and outside. The staff were friendly and attentive. The menu has a good variety of options with clearly labeled vegan, vegetarian and gluten free items. All of the food, including appetizers, entrees and desserts were fresh and tasty. The pizza could be a bit crisper, but it was still delicious. The tiramisu was the best I’ve had in a very long time. The only minor drawback is the acoustics, as it was hard to have a conversation with the higher noise level. Also, there is plenty of parking available in the multilevel parking lot for this shopping center.
My family and I went to Delarosa before Giants fanfest today. We were the first ones there and sat on the patio. Our server Sue was amazing. Best service we've gotten in a long time. The food was great as well. The bartenders special pizza was awesome, spicy and flavorful. My son loved his kids pepperoni pizza. The fritto misto was good, but a lot of peppers borderline too many imo. All in all 5 star review.
Every time I come to this restaurant I am always hoping to be hosted by Siew (Sue). She is sooo amazing. Her customer service is a breath of fresh air. She's very sweet and funny! Anyone would be lucky to have her as a host. She has a calm energy and does not rush you if you are still uncertain on what to order. She is genuinely a kind person and so lovely to talk with. Thanks Siew, for your hard work and kindness! I will continue to come back and ask for you as our server.
Delarosa in San Ramon is a gem, especially if you’ve got kids in tow. Conveniently located in City Center Bishop Ranch, it’s the perfect spot to grab dinner and let the little ones play. The outdoor seating is a huge win—right next to the kids’ play area, so parents can relax and still keep an eye out. We ordered the gluten-free Margherita pizza and it did not disappoint—crispy crust, fresh ingredients, full of flavor. The spinach and ricotta ravioli was just as good, rich and satisfying without being too heavy. It’s a great pick for a laid-back evening. Good food, family-friendly vibes, and the option to stroll around the beautiful City Center after dinner make it an easy 5 stars.
Delarosa – Bishop Ranch (San Ramon, CA) My Honest Experience Delarosa offers high-quality Roman-style pizza, solid cocktails, and a sleek, modern vibe that’s great for a night out or lunch after shopping. The food definitely lived up to the hype—crispy thin-crust pizzas, flavorful small plates like meatballs and bruschetta, and a lively atmosphere. But… 👎 First Impressions Matter Unfortunately, the hostess/reception wasn’t welcoming. We didn’t feel greeted with warmth or respect, which was disappointing, especially at a place that presents itself as stylish and guest-focused. A smile or basic courtesy goes a long way—and that part was clearly missing. ⸻ 🍕 What We Loved: • Prosciutto Pizza: Perfectly crisp, rich flavor without being heavy. • Cocktails: Well-crafted and strong—especially the Marco Polo. • Atmosphere: Trendy, energetic setting with outdoor seating. Great for groups or casual dates. ⸻ 👎 What Could Improve: • Front Desk Attitude: A cold reception can ruin the mood before you’re even seated. • Seating: Mostly high-top or communal tables—not the most comfortable if you’re hoping to relax. ⸻ Would I Go Back? Yes—for the food. But I’d hope the staff, especially up front, could match the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen.
Love this place. We drive from Livermore to come here. Love the service, vibes and food. Shout out to Sue for the extra cute touch on my cappuccino today.
We ate at DelaRosa and it was all delicious!! We spent a lot of time in the courtyard with my aunties, uncle ,cousin, my mom, and brother. It's a really beautiful place to just chill and people watch here. A great place for good vibes and live music. ❤️✨️🤌 Oh yeah, and we got some Boba Guys!!
We absolutely loved our food! Our favorite dishes right now are the beet salad, penne pasta and the fennel sausage pizza! And the steak appetizer! My husband is a very picky eater and they were able to customize his entire order and it came out correctly! Definitely recommend
It's been a while since I visited the city center, and I was happy to find Delarosa. It was quiet because it was early and the food was delicious. Especially, fritto di mare pasta was delicious. I strongly recommend you to stop by.

A nice place to have a drink together with pastas or pizza, good service and outdoor sitting in summer time is wonderful

We had another wonderful experience dining here. The food was absolutely delicious, just as it always is, and the atmosphere made for a great time. A special shout‑out to Siew, who consistently takes such great care of me and my family whenever we visit. I was especially happy to see she’d be assisting us again when we came in for a business lunch. Her attentiveness and kindness truly elevate the whole experience. Restaurants are lucky to have staff like her. Highly recommend!
We go here often! The pizza is delicious and we always have a salad. The food is fantastic but the service honestly sucks... they are not attentive you have to request refills and anything else you might need. If you want good service... this is definitely a place to avoid.
Didn’t get a chance to eat here the last two time we tried, got lucky today. And the food did not disappoint! Went in a big group and as always thought the vegan and vegetarian food will be just ok. But I absolutely loved the pizzas, olive platter and the beet root salad…yummilicious! Will absolutely be going back soon. And did I mention the tiramisu and our gracious server Arleen. Wish I could give more than 5 stars to a wonderful experience.
The food was delicious. They were incredibly busy so the wait was a bit longer than expected. But…..they gave us their yummy fries on the house. This is a must go to place.

The restaurant wasn’t too busy on a midday afternoon. We got the fennel pizza and the fried calamari for our party of 4. The pizza was great, very flavorful. The calamari was also very good. Great dipping sauces. I’d come back, for sure.
Margherita pizza was awesome, margherita with burrata was okay though. Spinach pizza and cauliflower appetizer were decent. Pilsner to flush it down, not a fan of chicken skewer in Italian restaurants now. Blonde beer taste a bit bitter for my taste. Chips in artichoke dip were not cooked well.
Service is great and quick. Location and outdoor seating is also great. Food on the other hand was only ok. I got the panini and garlic bread and marinara. Panini was good but missed sufficient sauce garlic bread was great but the marinara sauce was too watered down. My wife got the pesto pasta. Pesto tasted like the one from Costco which is not bad but a bit greasy and potatoes were not baked and raw
San Francisco SF Pizza Italian Cuisine 5-minute walk from Union Square. There is a happy hour from 4:00 p.m. to 6 p.m. It is recommended that 4 people in the group Make an appointment in advance, because it is a popular restaurant. There are bar areas, high table areas, General seating area, outdoor dining area. However, it is very cold in winter, and the food will soon get cold. It is very uncomfortable to sit Outside. Restaurant with a good atmosphere, suitable for dinner and good service attitude.
This restaurant has great vibes in a trendy place. The portions are decent, and the service is incredible. The Gnocchi is great with a strong garlic taste. The bruschetta was a little disappointing, though, because there were only two pieces.
Tried Delarosa for the first time and the food was really good. I would love to give a 5 but im just not the 5 girl. I will say they have a unique but delicious menu. Very authentic flavor. The pizza was good. I ordered the penne pasta and asked for it spicy and it did not disappoint. Plenty of meat and flavor. Their meatballs are delicious so good they dont need spaghetti. I forgot to take the picture before we cleaned the plate but they were so good. I captured it on the back end. The crust was good and fresh and flavorful almost buttery and excellent on toppings. The drinks, the desserts, the service was excellent. The service was excellent from Joe the Assistant GM. My team liked the desserts as well. The Italian donuts and the tiramisu were both a hit. They have a full bar and drink menu.

The atmosphere is great; but the staff could us a little bit more training. I ordered a latte. It did arrive nice and hot. However, it came with neither sugar, nor a spoon. I asked one of the staff members for sugar, and she did bring it out, but without a spoon. Then I asked our waiter for a spoon and he did bring me a spoon and more sugar. I am not trying to be extra picky, but I did work at a restaurant in my younger years and coffee and tea was always served with sugar and a spoon. I have also been to restaurants where they ask if sugar is wanted, which is okay (I get sometimes supply is limited). All I am saying is that it shouldn't take three separate runs to be able to take the first sip of a drink.

Nice location and interesting salad combination, especially Beet Salad $14.00 (highly recommend). Pizza wise, well, there are better ones out there. Tried the artichokes one for $18.00 and was not impressed at all. Absolutely average grade, the one you can get in the store and cook yourself at home. The host is a bit on the rude side demanding proof of vaccination for those forgot the phone in the car to provide one. Had to lunch outside. Pleasant service by Edgar and that’s what gets the stars, thank you. Next time - will definitely give some other place at the City Center a try.
Food was good. A little bit bland but not bad. Servers were also very friendly. Outdoor sitting is recommended if the weather allows. Prices are reasonable although they add a 4% surcharge "for living wage and employee benefits" which is odd because they could just increase the price of the food and pay them more.
Delarosa def has a vibe! Make a reservation if you have a group, we were a group of 5 and had a reservation. We were seated immediately. The outdoor dining is chill, they have heaters for when it gets cooler. The indoor dining atmosphere is great with the large windows. It felt like they had the AC running prob on high because it was cold and i could feel the air blowing down on us. I asked if it can be lowered, but our server said he was sweating, ok. In that case bring a sweater if you eat inside. Our group ordered a selection of items, Fritto Misto (5/5), beet salad (4/5), cheese pizza (5/5), Margherita pizza with burrata (6/5), Penne (4/5) & Ravioli (2/5 because pumpkin no thanks). I think the best item was the pizza, the dough was crunchy, the sauce was tangy, the burrata was creamy and the basil was fresh. Food was average, the pastas could've been hotter too. As for the service, our server could work on his (2.5/5). He brought us water, took our order, left, someone else brought our drinks (bar), our food came, we ate, but our server didn't check on us until we were done. He did walk by us several times to check other guests in the outdoor seating. He did bring our really quite quickly. Maybe he is a great server, but def not with us. Never judge a book by its cover. Bathrooms were decent, all gender. I'd come back for the atmosphere, just to chill, have a few drinks and pizza.

Used to love this place but 🤷♂️ what’s happening here, they used to have a great happy hour but now play this “No Happy Hour” during Holiday weeks which IMO is exactly when you should have a Happy Hour that’ll bring you large crowds of friends & family. What I don’t get is if you decide not to have a Happy Hour during holiday weeks they why bother with over staffing 🤷♂️ They have a lot of space and a lot of servers but very few tables actually with customers. So to meet the margin I can now tell the food quality is getting worse while they also auto charge you 4% for the over staffed employee benefits 🤔

Food is expensive, but decent. I eat lots of pizza pretty much everywhere I travel. This pizza is fine, but definitely expensive for what it is. The pasta we ordered was meh. Skip. Even my wife wasn't happy, and shes easy. The fried calamari, surprisingly was great. It came with a super juicy grilled lemon. Nice! Last, but not least. Our server was *crazy rude*. I asked for the check and he came back with his credit card machine and just stood in front of me with his hand out. I said, "I asked for the check. Don't I get to see what I'm paying for before you go ahead and charge me?" He rolled his eyes and turned the screen towards me so I could look over the digital list of items. As if I was somehow asking for the world for simply wanting to SEE MY check! I handed him my card and he runs it. Then he turns the machine back to me while he stares at me ponder how much to tip. I told him, "Hey man, it's kind of awkward and rude that you literally hover over me for this" He shows a look of exasperation and doesn't move. I put in a 10% tip because now *I AM* annoyed. He asks if I want my receipt. I say yes and he walks away. When he comes back he literally tosses my receipt on the table and quickly turns his back in me with no eye contact before walking away. Not a word spoken. Great experience! Thanks for ruining my experience there, Pedro.
We came as a group of eight and were seated at the the last outdoor patio table- two extra chairs were added by the host. Everything started off great, and our server was kind and attentive. But right after the manager, Samantha Amoroso, brought out our Cokes, she suddenly started moving our chairs without saying a single word. No explanation, no courtesy -- just anger and attitude. We were shocked to realize she was the manager. If our seating wasn't allowed, it should've been handled politely by the host, not in such a rude and unprofessional way after we were already seated and comfortable with the heaters on. It was embarrassing for us and unfair to our sweet server. Hospitality is about making people feel welcome -- not humiliated.
The manager, Samantha, clearly has no patience or respect for families with kids. We came in for a casual meal, and everything was fine until a chair was suddenly removed by her - no explanation, zero courtesy, just a cold and unpleasant attitude. The seating had already been done properly by the host, so there should be no reason to interfere in the middle of service. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. Restaurant should be about hospitality, not hostility. The server and the host were kind and professional but Samantha's behavior ruined the entire experience. Families should feel welcome, not pushed aside. Definitely not coming back.
Our visit to Delarosa for a late lunch, initially prompted by a lovely aroma, was unfortunately soured by the deeply unprofessional behavior of the hostess. From the moment we entered, Nina's demeanor was strikingly nonchalant. She interrupted my wife's greeting and, without allowing us to express a preference, briskly led us to a table in the back, right by the restrooms – despite a completely open front section. My wife's request for a window table near the bar was met with no eye contact and, as my daughter and I witnessed, a clearly disdainful expression as Nina walked behind her. Observing her interactions throughout our meal, it became clear that Nina lacks essential hostess etiquette. While we've always appreciated the excellent service from the servers and bartenders, this experience highlighted how a poorly trained hostess can significantly detract from a restaurant's first impression. This was a major letdown on my birthday.
We came in for a late lunch, and from the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt uncomfortable. The host was unwelcoming, with an initial greeting that lacked warmth and a smile. Additionally, the employee dress code felt more exposed and not aligned with standard business dress expectations. The restaurant was quite busy. After being seated, we experienced a long wait before being acknowledged. The food was fairly overpriced, although it did come out very quickly.
We had a very disappointing experience with the kids’ pasta at this restaurant. Not only was the quality poor, but we were also shocked to be charged $16 for a basic kids’ meal. When I raised my concerns with the manager, her attitude was rude and dismissive, which made the situation even worse. Based on this experience, I would not recommend ordering kids’ food here, and we won’t be returning.
I was really excited to finely try the location many are hyped over. First off, there was no chicken or sausage in any of my plates I ordered. The very few pieces of possible chicken tasted like death and left the worst foul taste in our mouths. 2 of my guests started to feel extremely ill not even 30 mins after eating. Worst experience, and over $100 down the drain. I ordered 4 to go and threw 3 of them away.
Food was decent. But the service was lacking, our waiter didn’t even come once to check on us. We had to call him twice, once for pizza add ons and the second time for boxes. He didn’t seem very interested in serving us. But they add a 4% fee and their default tip is 20% , which you have to select while the waiter is holding the payment device in your face. Nice tactic to guilt trip!
On a cold winter evening, I visited De La Rosa Pizza in San Ramon with my 4-year-old daughter. We were seated outside, with no heater turned on. We sat there in the cold for over ten minutes, and no staff member checked on us, took our order, or even acknowledged us. I understand restaurants can get busy, but leaving a parent and a 4-year-old child outside in cold weather without heat or attention shows a lack of basic service and consideration. We eventually had to leave. This experience was extremely disappointing, and I would not feel comfortable bringing my child back. I hope management takes this seriously.
0 STARS!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! Staff and specifically the manager (geoffrey p.) do not know how to run a restaurant! Had a reservation for INSIDE seating on a Friday night for 7pm. Manager tried to come up with an excuse that our reservation was for OUTSIDE seating when we specifically called in for a reservation the day before for inside seating. There were multiple tables inside that were completely empty but the manager refused to seat us inside and said we could either sit outside or wait in line for an inside seat. Do not come here if you want to enjoy your evening. Manager absolutely has no idea what he's doing!! I have never been given so many excuses from a restaurant manager when we had a specific reservation. He did not try to serve us at all and escalated the problem rather than trying to fix it. Save your time and avoid this restaurant (& manager) at all costs! (See photo of empty table inside that manager refused to seat us at)
