I love this place! I have yet to eat a bad thing from there. I especially love their plate that comes with Lasagna, Chicken Parmigiana, and Spaghetti. The staff is so nice and helpful. It’s also BYOB!

The food is AMAZING! So rich with flavor and perfect every time. One time they messed up one thing, and they handled it wonderfully!! Such great customer service on top of great food!

Pellegrino's will give Olive Garden a run for their money. I would rather be here instead of Olive Garden any day of the week. The food was phenomenal and their portions were more than generous!

This charming place feels like you went to a favorite small village restaurant in Italy. The food is delicious and in generous portions, made from scratch. With my having celiac disease, it was great to be able to drop by some gluten-free pasta and oat flour in advance for chef Giovanni to make Fettuccini Alfredo sauce safely, Italian-style!

Our favorite restaurant in Sanger...heck, in Dallas! So peaceful and quiet. Beautiful music conducive to conversation. Delicious food. My favorite is the Chicken Picatta. My husband loves the Salmon Picatta. But the biggest treat is their homemade bread, served immediately when you arrive. Best bread I've ever had! Do yourself a favor and enjoy a night out at this wonderful family-owned restaurant.

Great place for Italian food and one of the few sit-down restaurants in Sanger. The pizza is a great deal and they will deliver. It's my favorite place for pizza in the Sanger and North Denton area. Quiet and the service is friendly.

I love everything about this place. It's warm and inviting. The people are so sweet and attentive. The food is delicious and the helping sizes are more than adequate. We had to get a to go box and even got dessert. The prices are very affordable. I will always frequent this establishment.

My wife and I were lucky to be staying in a hotel close to the restaurant. Everyone was friendly and our waiter Alex ensure we had everything we needed. I had been craving good Italian food. I didn't set my hopes up because of being disppointed by other Italian restaurants. Let me just say my tastebuds were screaming with excitement. From the garlic buttery bread served once your seated, our fresh salad and great tasting entrees. I had the beef ravioli and my wife had beef lasagna. We had mozzarella sticks as an appetizer which were also tasty. Great atmosphere for a family dinner or date night. I absolutely recommend you pay them a visit. We will definitely be return when in the area.

Get garlic and olive oil dipping sause for your bread. My favorite dish hands down is the Chicken Antonio. For people with smaller appetites, they offer 1/2 orders. Best place in Sanger for Italian food.

This place was so great! Definitely a great place to have a little dinner date. My husband and I stopped here on the way home. The service was on point and the food was too. We ordered the Pellegrino Salad and Meatballs Marinara for our appetizers 😙👌. I ordered the house specialty Veal and he ordered a seafood soup (the entrees had much better names I just don't remember them). Last but not least the bread was SO good!! Definitely reccomend Pellegrino's!!

This is the best restaurant in town. They have amazing Italian food. The atmosphere is very cozy and romantic. There's always rat pack style jazz playing in the background. You can bring your own wine and they will open and pour it for you. The staff is extremely professional and courteous.

This restaurant is truly a gem, and is one of my favorite places to eat for almost every occasion. The food is great and the staff are above and beyond. Every meal is a great experience matched with the atmosphere. Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

The food and the atmosphere are like a gift from God's, It's like dining In a fine restaurant in Rome or Naples. Again, the food is marvelous, you must try it you won't be disappointed.

BYOB wish we had known to bring our own wine. We could hear them talking in the back kitchen area. Sounded like Italian so that was our 2nd good sign of what was to come. The 1st was the positive reviews. This is a small place within a very small mall type building. GPS took us right to it. We were greeted and seated immediately. Drink order and fresh bread basket was on the table within a few minutes, maybe 2 minutes actually. We travel through the area at least once a year and stop for two days. See you again, soon! Good menu selections and enough choices for anyone. A booth next to us had spaghetti meat balls plus a pizza. They needed to-go boxes. The booth behind us had 3 very large plates. And then, before we expected ours, we had just finished our salad when our meals were presented. My plate was a specialty with chicken, veal, and sausage with red sauce over fettuccine noodles. My wife the fettuccine Alfredo and both dishes were excellent. I tried their house dressing on my salad. It is NOT some typical variety with some spices added and then called house salad dressing. The waiter explained it and even asked if I wanted it on the side. It is unique and some might not like it BUT go for it if you want to try a true owners "house dressing". We will be back next time in the area.

This cozy small town Italian joint in the heart of Sanger is absolutely wonderful. Great selection of italian dishes, and the Antipasto Salad is incredible! They have a pasta dish with pineapples in it, and I highly recommend it. The staff are courteous, professional, and really enjoy their jobs. This place deserves all of the love.

We were staying nearby and ate here twice in 3 days because it was so good! I wish I would have caught the servers name because she was very knowledgable and accommodating with making the Ziti Pomodore and Angel Hair Primavera, vegan for us. Some of the best vegan pasta I've ever had!

Fantastic place. I always stop by when driving up I-35. Super friendly and helpful staff, and very good Italian cuisine for Texas, definitely above average. You can't be the prices, or the service size you get for them. Just wish I could come more often. Highly recommend their chicken parm, my only critique is that I wish the pasta had some mozzarella on top.

Absolutely amazing Italian food! We live in Denton but make the drive just because they know what they're doing. The sauces are so well balanced and definitely homemade. The service is excellent we got our dishes within 15 minutes of placing our order and the server apologized for it being slow. It wasn't slow at all! Friendly people and amazing dishes.

They have by far the best pizza in Sanger! Better than chain places for sure!! I have been there multiple times, service and food was excellent!! All except one time a dish turned out different than expected, I had the salmon and I wasn't a fan of it but it wasn't awful. I still highly recommend! Their best dishes I would say are pizza! It is family owned and they are so nice!!

Family-owned little restaurant. They let me customize pasta. The sampling plate was a bit small for my husband. The flavor was good. It was quickly prepared. We ordered to go.

If you are traveling I 35 and want good Italian food, this is your place. Service was excellent and prompt. Prices are reasonable. The quality of food is 5 star. Menu will have something for even the pickiest of people. Fresh bread brought to table was mouth watering. I had and recommend the lasagna. Service was top notch. I will be back.

Me and my brother and sister went for lunch. The people where so helpful, nice, and hard working. The food was excellent. The bread was excellent, the stuffed mushrooms was excellent, my Shrimp Murphy was a delight the shrimp where cooked perfect and the sause was wonderful. We loved everything. Would love to go again. Hopefully I will get to here the joyfull whistling of the cook next time. I feel like I missed part of the experience.

Amazing Italian. The shrimp scampi was perfect. Light and a ton of shrimp. Not overwhelmed with pasta, just enough to enjoy. And the sause was light and rich in flavor. The Chicken Ala Murphy was rich in flavor and spice. About an 8.5 on the hot side with the jalapeños. Well done. We will be back

I had the Pellegrino Special pasta, a combo veal, chicken, and sausage with marinara sauce. It was excellently prepared with complex flavor combinations and good textures. The pasta was done just right. The service was excellent. They took care in assuring and ensuring that the kitchen staff understood that one person in our party was very allergic to nuts. My daughter had the alfredo, but it was a little bland and was missing something.

We were driving back from Oklahoma and wanted to try something new and different. We started search on Yelp for interesting places to eat and we found Pellegrino's Italian Restaurant. We pulled up and there was plenty of seating and we were shown to our table right away. We had read in a review that they hand make their pasta. It seems that their spaghetti and other noodles are the homemade ones, but the raviolis are commercially made so our family stuck to the basics to get some of that homemade goodness. The wife and daughter ordered spaghetti and meatballs and I asked for spaghetti with brown butter and parmesan. The kitchen was willing to meet the request which was very nice. In addition to the entree we also ordered dinner salads. This was the only disappointing part. The dinner salad is basically iceberg lettuce with a pepperoncini on it and your choice of dressing. I wish that there had been a little more to it, but the hot fresh rolls were delicious. If you are on the highway and need to know where to grab a nice bite in a small town, this is better than all the fast food options at the other exit to Sanger.

This is the second time I've gone, and I much rather have fresh pizza here then Dominos or Pizza hut AND for almost the same price! Best pizza in town, and great staff. 😋 their food is very good, a little pricey but ain't too bad.

Nice restaurant with tasty traditional Italian entres and desert. Ample portions all around, outstanding garlic table rolls to soak up the sauces.

The food was much better than I expected. Truly excellent. The fried zucchini was crisp, the gnocchi tender, the shrimp marinara was full of flavor, and the bread was tender with a crisp crust. We ended with the chocolate cheesecake that was so good I forgot to take a pic until after we finished it! We will definitely be coming back for more.

Good Italian food at a fair price. Good variety of dishes to chose from including pizza. Dinners come with garlic butter rolls. Little disappointed not all entrées come with a salad. Service was excellent! Had spaghetti and meatballs, the meatballs were tender and very tasty. Will definitely eat there again.

I was impressed! The service here was awesome! There is actually a nice atmosphere in this place, even when it's crowded, you can still move around in here. I got the manicotti and it was very good! It was hand rolled and it didn't look like it came from a box and tasted great! My wife got the chicken pellegrino. It was very rich, the chicken was good though. We talked with Lupe, the manager? She was very polite and explained why the service was so good, these folks have a well oiled machine here in service! Other places could learn a lot from these guys. Food came quickly & was tasty. Steve’s Salad was fresh and delicious. Rolls were hot & wonderful. Desserts were a disappointment, though. Refilling beverages was non-existent. It was also too dark in the restaurant.

Pellegrino's is a great place to get carry out the menu is varied and tasty. Dine in is ok the booths are a bit awkward with the booth backs being vertical with no angle and the tight fit for an avg adult. Tables with chairs would be best option when dining in.

Pretty good. One of the few restaurants that actually gives you PLENTY of Ranch dressing on your salad! The bread is really good, as well. I have not been impressed w/their spaghetti, though. The first time that we went, I ordered the spaghetti w/meat sauce. It was edible, but trying to find any actual meat in the sauce was futile. Tonight, I ordered the spaghetti w/meatballs. There were 3 meatballs, the size of golfballs. They were OK, but I just didn't care for them. Also, the actual spaghetti noodles themselves were FAR too over-cooked...both times. There was lots of water in the bottom of the plate, too (one of my pet peeves). They have some other menu items that I'd really like to try (Chicken Pellegrino, w/artichokes & a white wine sauce, for one), & their pizzas seem to be really good. The first time that we went, several families had ordered them & really liked them.

The Homemade Bread was very tasty. It was French bread with garlic butter, diced tomatoes, and melted mozzarella cheese! Yum! I ordered the Stuffed Shells and the pasta sauce seemed very salty, but perhaps that was just me. I also enjoyed the Tiramisu.

This place was really a nice place for family dinners. We are a family of seven. You used to have good fast service. But now the 3 girls were just standing around by register talking. It took an hour to get our dinners, the place was empty when we got there. Then 3 other tables of 2 each came in, they got their food before us .I asked the waitress about that and she said because ours was a bigger order they were doing there's first. Not good for regular customers.

Because I have many food allergies, I was hesitant about eating here. They don't have any gluten-free options for pasta, pizza, or bread. Their alfredo sauce that should be made only with cream has flour in it. The marinara sauce contains onions, which is life threatening to me. But they had the most wonderful salmon in a wine sauce with capers and carrots that was a pleasure to eat. This dish made up for everything else. Service was great. Food was brought to the table as soon as it was cooked. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Italian food and is looking for a cozy, delightful surprise.

Ordered takeout spaghetti and Italian sandwich. Spaghetti was delicious, sandwich was more like a garden salad on bread that someone accidentally put a piece of meat on. It was very disappointing for the price paid. Sadly, this is one of the better places around unless you like chain food.

The food was good, both gentlemen we had as servers were very polite. My only issue was when we went to pay the young gentleman was having a bit of trouble with his kiosk and the young lady who was the hostess was quite rude to him and kept rolling her eyes when he was asking for help.

Cook wouldn’t stop his annoying whistling. Restaurant almost empty and took too long to be seated. GREAT ROLLS!

This pizza was actually really good. Sauce was a a little spicy but it was still good UNTIL they recently changed the cheese to what seems lower quality. Cheaper cheese? I hope they change it back to good quality ingredients. I'd love to return here.

Went here Saturday night the Chicken Parmesan is like a kids order I will attach a picture so you can see what your getting for $14 and to top it off they overcharged us also by $40. This place use to be awesome but the last year or so it has really went down hill.

It’s really hit or miss depending on if the female owner is there. If she is there expect 5 star treatment. If she is not there do not expect any customer service. The male owner had to step in for their son when I was complaining about wait times. Also if you are at all bilingual or know common Spanish phrases then have fun being called a cabron by the owners child. Which means mfer in Spanish. They clearly do not care about keeping customers. My complaint was simple. Hey why do I always have to wait up to ten minutes when I come to pick up my order. Whether I show up on time or twenty minutes late my order will not be ready. That is because they are so disorganized without the female owner that they don’t make certain items until the customer shows up. So they are intentionally misquoting wait times to customers and then calling you a mfer when you complain to the manager… congrats on losing a customer in a small town. At least $2k in sales in the year and a half I’ve been ordering. I’ll gladly call the owner tomorrow if she is in to apologize for not coming back.

Since moving from the Chicagoland area, I've been scouring the area for a pizza that's even somewhat comparable from the classic local chains I grew up with. This was one of the first places I tried, and it was underwhelming. It's New York Style pizza, which I was curious to try, but unfortunately it was flaccid and greasy. Flavor was underwhelming, low on sauce and crust, and generally a disappointing pizza. If you're looking at this place as an option for pizza in the local area, I'd pass.

The restroom was dirty with a plugged up toilet and the seafood pasta was overly salty and had dead muscles in it. Service was decent and my husband liked his pasta, which is why I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. I heard there was a change in ownership, which could be part of the reason our experience doesn't match the other reviews.

I’ve eaten here a few times and the food has been great, until lately. I ordered a pizza about a month ago and it was not cooked well and wasn’t even hot. I had also ordered a salad and they forgot to give me my salad. I didn’t realize this until I was already home. I figured I’d give it another try and a month later I ordered another dish to go. When I received my order, the bread wasn’t hot, but cool. My food wasn’t hot at all and my salad I ordered had no tomatoes ( which usually it has tomatoes) it was just lettuce and nothing else. . . I’m not sure what’s going on. I love this place, but I have just been real disappointed the last 2 times I’ve been here. On a good note..their supreme pizza is absolutely delicious! I’m just hoping they make some changes soon. 😕

The best thing I can say is the ladies taking our order were sweet and helpful and the garlic bread was very soft and moist. Spent $50 and change to get soupy shrimp scampi with the shells still on the shrimp, chicken Alfredo with at least one hair in it (so far) and it tasted like they just dumped massive amounts of garlic and Italian seasoning in it instead of trying to properly season it. Paid 10.95 for stuffed shells as a meal and got three shells with sub par sauce. The best part of the shells was the ricotta. The salad I got looks semi decent but also like it came out of a premix bag from Walmart. The homemade dressing tastes kinda like they tossed some vinegar and olive oil in some marinara. Loved how the place looked though.

I don't know how to be nice about this one, other than the waitress tried her best. The calzone looked huge until I deflated it with my fork. It had very little meat inside and the ingredients were not disturbed very well. Meat on one end, vegetables in the center and cheese on the other end. My wife had the chicken wings they were very dry. She also had a salad, but no Italian dressing in the restaurant. She ask for a straw, and was told the ran out. The young waitress did go find one somewhere and brought it to her. We won't return.

They do not know how to wash dishes. Asked for a steak knife and I was brought a dirty knife wrapped in a towel. This is not the first time they brought me dirty dishes and silverware. I have been going here for 20+ years. Since the children took over, quality of service has gone downhill! Stop trusting your dishwasher to clean correctly. Inspect the dishes and silverware before you return it to service. These pictures show food debris on the knife that wiped off with the towel. I did not use it and did not bother asking for another. So few decent places in Sanger to eat.

Its incredible that we are in the middle of a pandemic and all the cooks in the kitchen are without mask. I was standing in line waiting for my order and this guy out of nowhere comes in without an uniform or mask and enters the kitchen. What The heck??? If they don't address the health and safety guidelines or take Covid seriously then they should not be in business. It's sad I really like visiting this place. But no more.

My pizza was wrong and then she said we will pick them off… no?!! Now I have to wait another 10 mins for a fresh pizza. Waiting a total of 50 mins for my food now. Also was supposed to get my ranch with my order and then had to re ring up another order for it. Not organized. They gave me the old pizza again instead of the fresh pizza I was about to drive off and she came out to my car to take the old pizza and switch it out again and told me that they wanted the old one so that they could all eat it in back. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for 10 years now and this is completely ridiculous.

I was really excited to try this place only to be let down. We ordered shrimp scampi and gnocchi and one salad. Was very disappointed that salad didn’t come with the meal. The one salad that we did get was a pre mix from Walmart. The bread rolls were amazing though. The shrimp scampi was very soupy and had little flavor. I couldn’t hardly pick up the noodles from the sauce being so soupy. The noodles had a burnt taste. We ordered a Dr Pepper and it was flat. We told the waitress and then changed to a Sprite that was flat as well. The only positive was they took the shrimp scampi off our bill.

Also I requested and received a refund however she was more worried about the 66 cents in coins than giving good service or any sort of service recovery so I told her to keep the 66 cents and just return my $15.

Took my daughter to have lunch, we got seated and waitress asked our drinks, they got delivered and that was all the service we got. 3 other tables were seated, drinks, even got the bread while my daughter and I just watched. We left and went to dairy queen. If you decide to go here get it taken out.

CORRUPT CALIFORNIANS AND LAZY GEN Z RESOLD OLD FOOD. Kids working burnt the pizza they sold to us. We picked up the pieces and showed how burnt it was. The staff all picked up pieces and tested it too. The manager refunded us and they kept the burnt one. Our mom called in later and ordered another pizza and INSTEAD OF MAKING ANOTHER ONE, THEY SOLD THE SAME BURNT ONE TO HER. The same pizza that everyone touched, breathed on, and left sitting out! We went back in and they lied, panicking and suggested they burnt a second one. It’s the same pizza. And it was cold and old by the time she got it. She ordered it 10 minutes prior to picking it up and it was already old and cold? Yeah right. It’s the same burnt pizza they tried to sell us. That’s so twisted. Is that generation that lazy that they can’t bother to make another pizza and they have to sell an old burnt one? Or is it the owner’s creepy california ways to resell old food to locals?
