Steaks are priced very affordably. I’ve been to most locations and can confidently say your steak will taste great and be the exact level of pinkness you want.
Many memories. This Traildust used to be on 380 on the other side of Denton (crosswoods?). It was our go-to with our brother from Mesquite. The service is always top notch, leaving us wanting for nothing. This location is my son and my "go to" place for a good steak dinner.on a "guy's night out." Also love to bring out of town friends/family here. Everything on the menu is well cooked, done to each person's preference. Never have had to send anything back. Never. Do love the kids playing on the slide. Interesting note ... the dance floor/band stand was moved to the other end of the place.
Today we had Brooke as our server for an early dinner. She was so friendly! She was very attentive. She made us feel right he at home: Brooke is outstanding !
I ate the rib eye steak & baked potato. Steak melted in my mouth. It was delicious. Service was fantastic. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food honestly. Yes it took them 1hour to get our food that was the downside of it. Service Skills at the entrance could be better. just needs some coaching. First time customer. I will give it another try next time around the area. Family of 7. $180 dollars yeah. Definitely needs to get better
Steak was amazing. Ordered 2 of the 8 oz Fillet and green beans and baked potatoes. Chef did a wonderful job with the steaks it was literally like slicing through butter. Waitress was friendly, polite, and attentive. All around great dining experience.
First time I sat with server Tori. She is excellent! Despite it being a very busy Friday night, she easily handled her tables and effectively made the dinner pleasant for all. Great job!
Great service great food! Fun! Only regrets…..not going down the slide. Jocy was amazing and attentive!
The food is amazing. The barmaid.....they can do better. Been there numerous times and she's probably one of the most non social bartender I have ever encountered. Maybe that's why even when there's 30 cars in the lot, there's only 2 people sitting at the bar. Takes for ever to get a second drink with only 3 customers. Actually dropped our food off and didn't notice our empty beers sitting at her edge of the bar and took off before we could politely ask for another. The food......amazing amazing amazing. I will be back often just might choose to sit at a table where the wait staff is more friendly.
Great value and great place to get a steak! We were traveling and found Parker Brothers on Google maps. Our server was great and the food was quality and cooked exactly to order. The band was passable; overall a good old school Texas steakhouse atmosphere that I grew up in with a bit of roadhouse added. We will stop next time we're nearby !
First time coming here the service is good that food has flavor and they cooked my steak the proper way but sadly they couldn’t make my drink that was the four horseman but overall 10/10 experience
Great burger! Thank you. Plus the spot had history and a great atmosphere. See y'all again soon
We were visiting Texas from New Jersey and wanted a real Texas place for some steak. This place was awesome. They had live music, a dance floor and really great food. For an appetizer we had the queso dip with chips. For dinner, I had the combo with steak and ribs, Laura had the combo with steak and shrimp. All the food was really tasty and the portions were a good size. There's a slide inside that both kids and adults took turns sliding down and after dinner we enjoyed some dancing to the live band. It was a great experience, highly recommend this place.
You can make reservations. We did. You have to call ahead. Glad we did. This is the original Traildust. They have big tables to occomodate large parties. We had 7 in our party. Our server, Sauly(probably spelled wrong sorry) was great. She had several large parties by herself and was very attentive to all of them. For appetizers we had the fried jalapeno peppers and the queso and salsa with chips. These 2 appetizers were enough for our party of 7. I wanted to try the chopped steak dinner. Ordered it with a side salad and fries. It was wonderful. Seasoning was spot on. The brown gravy and onions were also yummy. Used my fries to dip in the gravy. They had the slide open for the kids. You must wear socks to slide, so make sure to bring a pair with you when you go. Honestly I was surprised at how good it was given other reviews. We will go back.
Absolutely Love this Restaurant been here several times. I am legit just a customer from Oklahoma moved to Texas. If ur drivin thru or live near, stop n eat here. The food is Always good from filets to chicken breast. The waitresses are all beautiful ladies 😍. The drinks are great, Try the Texan. 👌 Ask for Jodi or Soli. Awesome ladies!
Sabrina was fantastic, attentive, got it all right, and she's funny! The food was perfect, as usual! We did comment amongst ourselves that here lately the steaks have been spot-on and always soooo good. So, not that it was ever "bad", but if you have made changes....you are doing it right!! We've been coming since 2016, almost weekly, and love the changes made to the dance floor, band area and the food!! Just great! We love this place so much!!!
I had the lunch portion of grilled chicken and double mixed veggies and added a side of grilled shrimp. The chicken and shrimp were excellent and had the best flavor. The mixed veggies were good and fresh as well. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. The lady with me had the fried shrimp. Ehhhh.....too much coating for my liking but she enjoyed them. The mash sweet potatoes were very good and she enjoyed the friend okra as well. Yes the parking lot needs a little attraction but hey, so do a lot of the roads we drive. We drove an hour and 20 minutes in pouring rain just to have lunch here and it was worth it!!!
My family and I decided to stop here for Father's Day since we've always enjoyed this location. We were served by Jocelyn today, and she was amazing. She went above and beyond with everything. Very attentive and checking in. There was a musician playing during our visit, his music was extremely loud and made it hard to hold conversations. Besides the loud music, which I think management should address—Jocelyn was great, the food was great—we would definitely return.
Brooke was the best waitress I have ever had! She is very quick and very entertaining! I will definitely be back and I highly recommend her to anyone that comes in! She will make your night and even your whole year! I loved having her as my server!!! Nothing but good things to say about her. I could go on and on about the service but yall get the point!!! Brooke is fantastic!
We enjoyed this location on a Sunday for my son's birthday. We had a lot of family members who attended, and the waitress was great! Appetizers were a variety of chips and salsa & cheese, bacon wrapped jalopenos, and last but not least, fried pickle chips. Everyone ordered something different but no complaints other than those who were on a diet and couldn't keep their hands out of the appetizers. My steak, mixed veggies, and baked potato was excellent!! This is our 2nd family gathering at this location. Thanks, Trail Dust Steakhouse!!
My husband loves the Parker Brothers Traildust Steakhouse. We stop there every time we go to and from Oklahoma. I enjoy the grilled shrimp and catfish. My husband consistently orders a 16-oz Rifleman cooked medium rare, loaded baked potato, and ranch on his salad. YUM. I always sneak a few bites of his ribeye. If you have never been here, I encourage you to go out of your way. You will be a customer for life.
I have gone to this restaurant since I was a kid , I love the food!! Staff was friendly, our waitress Brooke was amazing!!! Customer service 10/10 definitely recommend
I wish I would have gone during a busier time as I would of loved to of experienced a live band or fun dancing, as there was a dance floor, but given it was a last minute decision to eat here, I was highly impressed! I got a fried chicken sandwich, which was SO good, with french fries and a lemonade. They really went above and beyond to make sure all the needs of my party were met. They always had my LARGE cup of lemonade full, never had to go out of my way to ask for a refill, and the complementary garlic bread they served before we received our main course, was amazing! I highly recommend! Parker Brother Traildust Steakhouse, thank you for the great experience, it's greatly appreciated!
Ordered the Scout. Big fat juicy burger was absolutely DELICIOUS! Excellent service. Julianna was a doll! And the slid was fun!
More unique places like this should exist. They have a no tie policy, where they will cut your tie off and pin it to the wall as a trophy. They also have a SLIDE in the restaurant for people and kids to slide down. Live music and great food. I highly recommend this place!
Everything Traildust should be. The steaks were outstanding! Seasoned and grilled to absolute perfection!! My only complaint (and I do mean only!) was for me there was a bit too much dressing on my salad. Easy fix, next time I'll order my dressing on the side. It was the perfect amount for others in our party. It was so heartwarming to see the slide and dance floor. Brought back so many wonderful memories of Traildust's Dallas days. I love the new location while at the same time, so great they remember their roots. Every single thing you would expect from the Perfect Texas Steakhouse.
Best place we have been out to eat in quite a while. The boys had a good time. The food was great, and it was just a fun place to be. Prices for the quality and amount of food were very reasonable. Brought back memories of me going down that slide as a little kid, and now I get to enjoy watching my son's do the same.
One of our favorite places when we’re in the area. The steaks are always juicy and flavorful. Our server Brooke did a great job. Sure wish y’all had one closer to Anna or better yet in Anna!!!
FANTASTIC! We came in from Memphis, TN to play Old Bolivar Station's Songwriter Festival and were looking for a true TEXAS steak experience and these guys did NOT disappoint! ✔️Live music ✔️GREAT steaks (all 6 of us got The HOSS) ✔️TEXAS TOAST ✔️Friendly staff! Like freaking adorable! ✔️SLIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! For even more fun, wear an old, not sentimental tie for their Ceremony! 😆
Last time. I came to Texas I was yelled at for not having a Steak in Texas. I saw this place while flying by on the highway and new i had to make the stop. Huge barn like dining area. Amazingly priced and delicious food. Steaks are literally cooked to your profection. Haley was awesome, and there's plenty more on the menu than just Steak. Not to mention the wall of shame! Dont wear a tie to this place because they will cut it off and add it to their wall with your name on it! Cheers Travelers!
Great place for lunch. Food was delicious. Service was fantastic! Nice casual western atmosphere. Old fashioned indoor slide for the kids, and a dance floor for all. Sweet tea and lemonade served in giant glasses. Fried mushrooms followed by "The Hoss" with loaded baked potato are our go to choices. Berry cobbler and pecan pie ala mode were the perfect finish to our meal.
Food was really good and better priced than other steak houses. Waitress we had was friendly and helpful. It was a little nostalgic for me. I remember the Traildust steak house just east of Denton I used to go to in college with my then girlfriend / now wife. Wish they would make a come back.
Food was amazing! My husband had the ribeye and I had the sirloin and grilled shrimp. So flavorful and juicy! The service was amazing, our gal was so sweet and helpful. We had their Texan drink as shots and they were really delicious! Live band singing was a nice touch! Wish I had room for dessert 😂 definitely coming back!
Good food and fun music. Good time! I recommend the Grilled Chicken and Sweet Mashed Potatoes. Also the Mushroom Swiss Burger is really good, too!
Fire 🔥 cracker hostess/Celeste got me in with a quickness. My waitress Mary Beth was phenomenal. She was nice respectful and fast. This was my first time here and it want be my last. I had fried mushrooms for my appetizer and the 12oz HOSS for my dinner. Food was great real good atmosphere for the hole family. Truck drivers there’s some room in the back if you just stopping for some food but know over night parking.
I'm from NH newly moved here. My boss had been here and recommended it. It did not disappoint. The atmosphere is totally laid back and fun, the service was great and the food was absolutely perfect. Will be back. The kids slide inside is a huge hit!
FOOD AND SERVICE REMARKABLE NEED ONE IN CEDAR PARK TX. BUT I HAVE TOO GO THERE GOING & COMING FROM I-35 in Oklahoma.
From the moment we walked in to the moment we left we were greeted with great staff. The food was awesome, great music and our service by Julianna was perfect! We were just traveling through but this is now a definite stop when we get back this way!
Food is excellent!!!! Our group had Ribeye, grilled asparagus, sirloins, grilled onions, and salads during lunch. Atmosphere is Hometown family Texan feel. There's a Slide from the second story for the kids to play on. Would definitely go again when I'm the area!
Filet was cooked perfectly and very tender. I didn't have to trim off anything. Corn nuggets were good, but I don't think they should be a premium side. Asparagus was grilled lightly and very crisp. Tough ends we're not trimmed. Service was friendly and efficient. It was 30 minutes to closing time and they didn't grumble or rush us at all. We'll have to come back to try the slide and figure out what the ties were for.
If you haven't heard... This is the best Steak House anywhere! Go out of your way if you have to, you'll be glad you did!!! Love this place!!! Highly recommend! The Rifleman is the best Ribeye in Texas!! Service is always AWESOME! And always consistent! Had a 16oz Rifleman last night. Yum, consistent and excellent as always! Thank you!
We made the 1 hour trip from Garland. This was a very nostalgic trip for me. When I was growing up, the Trail Dust in Mesquite was my favorite restaurant. --I loved the slide, the dance floor, and all the cut neck ties on the wall. (I'll get to that shortly) We were seated immediately upon arrival. The menu isn't too big, and is easy to navigate. We went on a Friday at lunch. This location had a dance floor, full bar, and most importantly a SLIDE! The decor is "Texas Barn". Someone told me to bring a blanket for the slide. The stairs for the slide are pretty narrow. My daughter loved the slide. They do have two rules .. you must wear socks, and no screaming. I went once, but it was a little too bumpy at the end for my large backside. FOOD and drinks - The adult sodas are served in large glasses , beer was cold -- Mozzarella sticks were tasty, my guests had Chicken fried steak and catfish. Everyone loved their food, and it all was a great price. I was excited to have a Friday lunch special. For the bargain of $13.99 I had a delicious 8 oz Ribeye. Our baked potatoes were also stuffed generously with toppings. ... Our server did not clear anything off the table, our empty mozzarella basket sat from the start of the meal to the end. None of us were offered refills. Our server brought the check over without offering dessert. Then our server stood talking to another table for 10+ mins while I waited to pay. I didn't understand the hurry to drop the check, and ignore us. This was REALLY frustrating. Biggest disappointment - I wore a tie intentionally to have it cut off. The tie was never acknowledged during our visit. My girlfriend asked another employee about it, and that employee told our server. Our server asked about the tie as she brought over our check after being processed. I don't know the "tie cutting protocol" , but felt incredibly frustrated by being ignored for an extended amount of time. -- I would love to go on a night when there is live music.

Food was great , atmosphere and service great . live music . Will be back . Don't wear a tie if you like it . They have a wall full of tie cuttings .
First time at this location, our server Chelis was excellent, very friendly and attentive. The live music was good and the food was good. i will definitely come back. The last time before coming to trail dust was back in the late 90's when it was in Dallas.
It was a rainy night so not too busy. That makes for a long night for staff who were anticipating Friday night funds. Food was hot and delivered quickly. I like the location of the band and dance floor. It made for table conversation verses table yelling.
Update: sad to say, our online reservation wasn't found. We were told 10 min wait. After 25 mins, we asked how much longer, we were then told "maybe 10 more mins" so we decided to leave. We had family from out of town with us, this was super disappointing and we're hungry. We overheard 2 other parties had the same problem and saw them also leave. Always friendly and open to large groups/kids. Food tastes amazing! Check out their special drinks, limited to 2 per person, worth the Lyft/Uber charge. Parking has always been easy when we go after church.
The portions seemed smaller, but 6 Oz Maverick steak and aspargus were delicious. The corn nuggets was not bad, but looked like premade frozen processed food. Waitress met our every need. For atmosphere, there was a slide, a bandstand, and many cut off ties on the walls.
Our chicken fried chicken was very mediocre. The broccoli wasn't edible, it seemed old or at the very least undercooked. Baked potato was undercooked. Our server was very attentive but food took to long to come out.
We were traveling through Sanger and in the mood for a steak. The Yelp reviews weren’t great, so our expectations were low and we ended up being pleasantly surprised! Brooke was friendly and helpful, and the food came out hot and tasty. The place was pretty empty on a Wednesday evening at 5, so the vibe was a little off but overall we were glad we stopped.
My absolute favorite steakhouse in the DFW area! ♥️. Go for the sirloin, you won’t regret it! Prices have gone up recently though ! I love Trail Dust!
This is a long story from decades of experience. Growing up in Colorado we've gone to Traildust many times. They use to cook over Mesquite wood. Their food was something special and full-flavored (in Colorado). Don't get me wrong, the steaks here were good, but not special. The atmosphere seemed run down a bit. Our waitress Anna was perfect (we tipped her well). Everyone enjoyed the appetizers of fried pickles, mozzarella sticks, and breaded mushrooms. They brought out the traditional ranch beans and Texas toast on request. The beans were a little runny and Bland compared to the ones in Colorado. I would recommend requesting the toast to be extra toasted because the first batch came out a little soft. Our steaks came out cooked perfectly! (which isn't easy). The sides were good as well nothing to brag about. The place seemed a bit slow but it was a Monday after Father's Day. We did have to wait a long time for our table because they seem short-staffed. they had a lot of Empty Tables. Incidentally, we drove in from Oklahoma City on my birthday 21st of June because of the Nostalgia of growing up with a Traildust in Aurora Colorado area. I met Mr. Parker in the old days. It was sad to see them leave Colorado. I do hope this Traildust gets back to its roots. It would make the almost 3 hour drive worth it.
Updated 12/27 Thankfully this time we had a nice server. Service and quality of food was much better. Only down side is they did not have any full booths available though we asked and many were empty due to letting staff go early or some excuse like that was given. Update as of 2/18 Unfortunately, I had to update my previous rating five star rating to 2 due to multiple issues with our visit today. The hostess was rude as the devil in heaven. Not sure why when she was wearing a religious sweatshirt. We asked to sit in the booths but we were told the section was closed. However, less than 3 min later she started sitting customers there staring at us each time she walked past us. In fact, at one point she pulled out her phone sitting near the bar like she was filming something. Not sure what it was. Next, our ribeye was plated on a burned and chipped plate that looked like it was pulled out of the trash. Or not even washes. Waitress was kind. No complaints. Please do better Trail Dust. We look forward to stopping by on our way to Windstar but after today experience I am not sure. We have been her multiple times and never had such a pitiful experience in past 25 years at this location on your other location in the DFW metroplex.
I have been driving back and forth and seeing this restaurant I wanna try it. Main course: Steak very tenders, juices and perfect seasonal Grills shrimp perfection Side dish: I'll give it threes star, sorry sauté mushrooms don't taste like sauté,it tastes like boiler. Pinto beans so so...potatoes... Service ladies are very lovely
Really good steak! And great service. The sides were just ok but the steaks were perfect and the price made them even better. We will stop here again some time!
The atmosphere was by far the best thing... our server was kinda slow. Didn't get drinks refilled and missed a side for a good 30 minutes. Had to ask to for.. we stayed for over a hour and 45 minutes before getting food. Then another 30 for that missing side.. steak was dry and cold. But the kids had fun and that was great seeing.
I had the rib eye cooked medium and it was delicious. It was flavorful and cooked perfectly. We had a large party with over 30 people so it took a while to receive our food. The children enjoyed the slide. They also have an area for live dancing. Our server Rhonda was awesome. While it’s a cool place to come out, I’m not sure I’ll be back just due to the distance from home.

So there were two things to make us think bout a return trip...1. Hannah our server was first class and 2. Sweet tea. We ordered steaks- One grilled and one chicken fried. The CFS was slightly pitiful. I’ve only had a couple that were worse. The mashed taters were cold and the salad was limp. Sunday evening and the place was pretty noisy. The place had some bad ratings on Yelp, but these were all take out meals. Dine in did not fare better for us.The other steak we ordered was not a good piece of meat and very low On flavor. I cannot recommend it as a whole, but the service and the tea were excellent. Yelp sports coupons, which were eventually honored but it took a manager and that manager making a call to confirm it was a valid offer.
It's definitely rustic. We ordered the ribeye and the filet. My filet came out med-rare(supposed to be med). Sent back and now it's well done. Hubby's steak was perfectly cooked but had no flavor so he resorted to Heinz 57. Portions were reasonable as well as the prices. We originally ordered the 30oz t-bone but were informed after ordering they don't have it nor do they have the meat to cut. The manager did adjust the ticket for my steak. They offer a slide for kids to occupy them so it can get loud. Our food came out quickly. They have a bar and a dance floor. Update.. after leaving both of us had upset stomachs.
I guess in a small town this might be considered a treat. But the stakes they serve you can buy at the local Brookshire's or Walmart it's Choice grade at best. Those who know will know what I'm talking about. But the staff was great, the steak was cooked exactly how I wanted it. And the sides were pretty decent. It's just the steak is not even Angus quality. But you get what you pay for. And this + 60 for the big ribeye and two drinks. If you're looking for higher quality you're probably going to spend $100 or more
05/19/2024 Lunch. I had the chicken fried chicken sandwich, and my wife had the chicken fried chicken platter. Both entrées were a mediocre, (average) everyday experience for us. My sandwich reminded me of a chick filet sangwich (but it wasn't moist or tasty), and the platter was about the same, except her entrée was not hot (or even warm). It was room temperature. The salads were enjoyable. The sliding board was next to the table, so we got a first-hand experience of some noisy kids having fun. The place was dirty, but there was plenty of customers, so it's not a deal breaker for the locals (it seemed). To be fair, we didn't have steak. A good steak makes up for a lot of deficiencies! 🥩 Excellent: Uniquely satisfying. A special place. Very Good: Better than expected. Avg: An everyday experience. Just OK. Fair: Below par. Dirty, smelly & or flies.

I’ve waited till I have gone several times before writing this review. After 6 visits I still have yet to get my steak cooked the way I ordered it, ....medium/ med. well. Usually it’s med. rare - rare. Once it was VERY well, anymore and it would have been carbon. Twice it was so rare I thought it might moo when I stuck it with a fork, ....... tonight was one of those. Not sure if the price of chives and sour cream has sky rocketed, but they sure are stingy with them on your baked potato. On top of that, the sides are warm at best. When a pat of butter won’t melt on my corn or baked potato, ....it’s not at serving temp. (Anymore) You be the judge, does the photo of my steak look like a steak cooked to medium ?
The salad was old and our burger was burnt. There was only one lady working as a server for lunch and that poor lady was overworked, but she did the best as she could
Sabrina is overwhelmed at 3:45 pm with the 3 tables and couldn’t be bothered with checking on her tables. We ordered an appetizer and we received salads and our steaks and the bacon cheddar fries were thrown at our table and they were burnt black, she never acknowledged the fact that they were burnt! We got her attention to come back to the table and she just said oh do you want them remade? We said no, we’ve already received the food! So we attempted to eat the steaks that were not prepared correctly and she brings the bill and says hopefully the fries won’t be burnt next time! News flash there won’t be a next time!
I ordered the Cowgirl Tbone (medium rare) with grilled asparagus and mushrooms. I got a well done steak - no pink at all, raw asparagus that tasted like it was just warmed in the microwave, and a bowl of grilled onions.
Ordered 2 Chicken Fried Steaks with Gravy. Picked the order up and got home, and there was no Gravy to be seen. Just a dry chicken fried steak patty. I called and spoke to the manager who said would I like to come back up (the 4.5 miles one way) to pick up some gravy and I said no, they could deliver some though. She said they would send some as soon as they made it ( I was hung up on waiting for her to "speak to the cook" during which I heard them do a Happy Birthday song to someone) They did wind up doing that, but they could of saved the trip, as the gravy was watery.
Started the evening with Bacon wrapped jalapeños and fried pickles. The pickles were fried so hard, they were almost like chips. The bacon wrapped jalapeños were great though. Steaks were cooked correctly, though they looked a little gray. Server was Jocy, though I wouldn't have known that unless I read the receipt. She wasn't very welcoming, never smiled or allowed me to finish ordering. Kept interrupting me when I was still speaking and had acted like we were annoying her. Every interaction with her felt rushed, even though it only appeared she had 2 other tables. I've been in the industry 16 years, I've always made the guest my priority in every interaction. Her attitude towards serving, made it seem like it was a chore, instead of something she enjoyed. SI isn't for everyone. We still tipped appropriately, but it would have been 30 to 40%, if the service was any better. We didn't even finish paying out, because the children were going down the slide. Yet she put the rag and spray bottle on the table, almost like she was telling us to hurry up and leave. I went to the restroom, came back and my table was completely bussed. Only thing left was my togo box. If you are in such a hurry to get off, maybe a career at Walmart would be better than working in the Service Industry. Do better.
Arrived at 11, had our food at 11:45. There were 4 tables filled. The staff was friendly, service good. Rating is based on the 45 min food wait. I saw my food taken to another table accidentally, and taken back into the kitchen. A few minutes later it was brought to me. I think our waitress was serving in order, instead of bringing the food out when it was done. The other table was a large family, and there were only 2 of us. My food was cool, close to cold when I got it. $7.99 banana pudding to go was about a 3/4 cup serving. Very disappointed. My husband's chicken was dry. His veggies were warm, but the rest of our food was again cool. Waitress did good with refills. And like the other review, corn nuggets are a $2.99 upcharge when menu lists them as a reg side and not a premium side. Waitress told me there was an upcharge, but I was still surprised. Was our first time. Nice to try something new, but we will stick to Texas Roadhouse.
Went there with 8 co-workers for lunch on a Tuesday at 11am. Got sat relatively fast since it was not crowed and the sever came to the table and took our drink order and appetizers. He were it star…

Things looked good at the beginning: Made some reservations online, verified information with the staff through the phone, and I was looking forward to having a great dinner with the family. They w…
Slow, poor service, the steak tasted like week old shoe leather. The mixed drinks are inedible, skip them altogether m.
Been dying for a good steak. Travelling back and forth to Oklahoma, for business, I see this place all the time. Thought I'd give it a shot yesterday. Not busy, maybe 8 cars in parking lot. Walk in…
Omg, what a terrible experience. Wanted to give this place a 2nd try. Ordered a ranch water, tequila, lime and soda, literally told the waitress what was in it. The drink was not good, super swee…
The food was bad. I would not recommend going. This is the skinniest over cooked steak I ever had. Then 1 person did the wrong thing and sent their overcooked steak back. They got another one …

Don’t subject yourself to this place if you’re expecting good service or timely food. The only positive was that our party of seven was seated right away. We ordered promptly—standard menu items, no customizations. Then things went downhill. It took 30 minutes just to get our starter salads. After that, our server completely disappeared. I finally spotted her taking a break and chatting with coworkers. When I flagged her down and asked about our meals (an hour had passed by this point), she said she’d check—but never returned. No drink refills, no updates, no apology. Meanwhile, tables seated after us got their food first. When our meals finally arrived 90 minutes after ordering, they were barely warm. To top it off, when my sister-in-law asked for ice water, it looked like the server spit in it—truly shocking and appalling. We were trying to treat our 80-year-old father to a special Father’s Day dinner, but this experience was anything but. I sincerely hope others have a much better experience than we did. This was unacceptable.
Been a fan of this place since kids were little and it was over on 380. Last couple times the service had been terrible. Tonight put the nail in the coffin. Our server could not have cared less, spent most of her time over chatting with friends at the front. She brought our chips out after letting them sit under the heat lamp for 20 minutes…burned. Why did we even have to say anything about them being burned? She knew. Had to ask other waitresses for things. The place was not busy at all. So disappointed.
Very disappointing experience at Trail Dust Steakhouse. The place was dirty, and the bathroom didn’t even have paper towels. My steak was only seared on one side and tasted overwhelmingly of garlic. The salad was old with wilted lettuce. Service was slow and unfriendly. What’s most sad is that this place used to be fun and great years ago. Now it’s just a shell of what it once was—like losing an old friend. I won’t be back.
Had the chicken fried steak. It was chewy and bland. The baked potato was cold in the middle, so a reheated potato. Very disappointed in the food. The server didn't seem to care that we were unhappy with our meal which didn't help matters. Go to Cartwright's in Denton. It's worth the drive.
